My Children…Love one another.  I have loved you so and everything that I have done for my creations has been from my love for all of you.  I have shared my love with you through my only Son and the Holy Spirit.  I have poured my love out all over you.  My love for you is perfect!  I am love…it’s who I am.  My love for you is very powerful.   You are a part of me and I you.  I need you to love my creations like I love you.

Love is not only a feeling…but it’s me and it’s you.  When you love one another…you are showing me that you understand how much I love you by obeying this command.  I want you to see love in the light of who I am.  If you know me… you know love. Loving someone is a whole body human experience.  Yes you can love with your heart dear children…but love with all of you and all that I am in you and your love will have a profound effect on others.  Your love will reflect our light. (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)  Your love will show others the way to us.

My child… love is not hard to understand or feel because when you look at my portfolio of love you will see how much love is me and everything that pertains to me is out of this love.  So when you pray to me and walk with me… you will know more and more what this love is that I talk about and have let you experience through my only Son Jesus…you will come to grow deeper in love with me and that will bring you into a deeper desire to manifest that love in your life.

Everything you are is because of my love for you.  Some of my children haven’t experienced this tremendous amount of love that I have for them.  This can be because they don’t know enough about me or that they are just not seeking me.    They need a breakthrough.  What a breakthrough it will be when all my love that you can hold in your human body fills you up. The overflow of this love will chase out any fear and you will know and be sure of my love for you in your heart and mind.

Love one another… as this will please me so and you will be blessed.  The love that my Son Jesus has for you was so evident from His act of sacrificing Himself for you.  Not only did He had to endure  beatings and being mocked  and tortured for you, but His separation from my presence was almost more that He could bear.  He did this because I asked Him to and He did this because He too loves you so.

Show this world whose child you are.  Love your neighbor.  Your Father in Heaven

Dear God,

 On this day December 25th we celebrate the day your only Son was born…but God…this is a blessing I think about daily.  I’m soooooo grateful that you loved me your creation…that you wanted me to be your child.  That you wanted to remove that awful original sin from me…. That you wanted me to be your friend….and you did all of this because…..YOU LOVE ME!  God…every time I think about this love it makes me want to weep.  My eyes are watering right now as I’m writing this. 

God…you rescued me…your Son saved me!  Although everyday is Christmas and everyday is Easter for me….I take a little extra time to meditate on your goodness today and to celebrate that day Jesus made His personal appearance on earth as my Savior and was Emanuel.  I will celebrate this wonderful day with my family you gave me and we will Glorify your name together.

Jesus…we may not know the exact day of your birth…but we’ve carved out this day to praise your name and to say… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  We all love you so much! 

Father God…my birthday prayer is….for others to know and believe in your precious Son Jesus.  In His name Amen

Valentine’s Prayer…God is Love

1 John 4:8  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Today is Valentine’s Day and the name Valentine goes back to 269AD when a few Christians name Valentine from Terni and Rome were martyred and the celebration to honor them was on February 14th.  But it wasn’t until the 14th century when a few poets from England wrote about love and a bird’s time for finding a mate in England… that this holiday really started to take form.

Whatever the true reason for this celebration…I believe it’s a great one… because the greatest fact about the nature of God our Father is……GOD IS LOVE!  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

So… today as we think of those we love in a special way…let’s consider the Alpha of love…God.

Dearest heavenly Father,

I want to thank you for the precious gift of love you have given to the world and to me.  Thank you for blessing me every day with this love and the power and strength that I get from you every single day.  Without your love for me I can’t be….I can’t function….I can’t even breathe…because I NEED your love to sustain me.  It’s like food and medicine for my soul Lord.

 Please continue to let me feel your comforting love in my life and Lord I give myself over to you to perfect in me this gift of love…that I may be able to express it and share it with others.  Lord…I have not always been good at this…forgive me.  Lord…some people are harder to love than others…but I want to be like your Son Jesus…so please continue the work you are doing in my heart so my heart will be like yours. In Jesus name I pray.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Tim Tebow is the 24-year-old quarterback for the Denver Bronco’s football team and He’s a Christian who has been very public about His faith in Jesus Christ.  He takes a knee and prays at times during a game.  This act of prayer is now called”Tebowing.” It’s a nationally known gesture and is also known worldwide now.  Many people famous and regular folks have criticized Tim for this act but many more people have cheered him on and some young people are copying his act of taking a knee in prayer.  (With young people copying so many negative things people are doing…copying praying is a very positive thing to do.)

Does God need Tim Tebow to do this?  No.  Is God using Tim Tebow’s act of prayer?  I believe positively yes.  Tim Tebow is not the only person or situation to be used by God like this.  In 2003 a young girl named Bethany Hamilton had her arm bitten off by a shark attack at the age of 13 years old.  She too wis a Christian and has given God the glory for seeing her through her terrible ordeal.  There is a book and even a movie about her story.  There are many more of these types of events that have been publicized by the media pertaining to Christian faith these days.

I believe God is doing His own thing in this 21st century.  He is revealing Himself through certain situations and turning them to good.  He has always done this but in the last decade it’s been very public thanks to new technology  like TV, the internet, Youtube, etc.  He’s not causing these tragic events just to show off.…these are things that were just going to happen.  The people who it happened to saw how God bought them through their distress and decided to share their story  of God’s grace and mercy and God is getting the glory from their testimonies.

There are many bible stories where God used a negative situation to bring the positive…like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace….also Daniel in the lion’s den….and Joseph and His mean brothers in that pit situation.  God has gotten the glory for these events for many years….about 1,500 years before Christ to be exact.

John 3:16 has been googled so much in the past few days because of Tim Tebow.  I can’t see how this can be a bad thing.  The word of God has power….Isaiah 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. 

What should we do about this Tim Tebow thing?

  1. We should be praying for Him because you know He is going to be under attack.  The enemy hates Tim and He and his family need our prayers.
  2. We should be praying for those that are seeking Jesus because of what they have seen in Tim Tebows life.  Souls will be saved! This is so exciting!
  3. We should pray that the word of God will go forth…Not just John 3:16, but that people will want to read bibles like they never did before.
  4. We should pray bible sales will go up and that bibles fly off the shelves and will be read!
  5. Prayer is needed for others to take a stand and give God glory for what God has done in their lives.
  6. We all need to get back to basics and study up on John 3:16 in case someone ask us to explain the hope that is within us.
  7. Pray for our nation and this world that the name of Jesus will not only be on people’s tongues but in their hearts…..saved!

Message for today: While Tim Tebow is out there sharing His faith…what am I doing?  I’m Tebowing right now…..somebody come and help me up!  All kidding aside…folks let’s…….TAKE A KNEE!

A delayed reaction to my salvation

I'm understanding more and more Lord...what you did for me.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I became a born again Christian in 1965 while watching Billy Graham on TV and a committed Christian in 1984. At the age of 13 years old I didn’t fully understand what happen to me except I knew I wanted Jesus to be in my life and I was very sorry for my sins. I fully believed in the Lord but did not commit all my ways to Him.

Then in 1984 when I committed myself fully to the Lord and put God first in my life I was totally sold out for Him and full of zeal. I shared my faith like crazy and everybody around me knew that I was surrendered to Christ.
In the past few years and even more so this year I have more of an understanding about the sacrifice Jesus made for me so that I can be put right with God. It all boils down to…..UNDERSTANDING WHO GOD IS and HOW MUCH HE LOVES ME.

I thought I understood about God coming down to earth in the form of a man…that Immanuel…God with us happened because of God’s deep love for the humans He created and He wants us all for Himself…so He made a way for us to be adopted into His family and live with Him forever. God Himself saved us for Himself and He loves us to pieces!

I’ve had a delayed reaction to my salvation. I get it….I get Him…God. No….I don’t understand everything about Him….No human can….but I’m getting to know more about Him every day. I believe you have to get to know Him without attaching our present troubles to Him. By this I mean… just love Him because He is God without always asking for things or thinking about all you’re going through. Love Him because He is God your Father. Love Him because of who He is. God is God…God is love….God is the creator….God is very powerful….God is perfect….God is incredibly unbelievably wise…..God is supernatural….God is extremely Holy….God is everything so much so that nothing comes after this sentence -“there are no words to describe His existence, Holiness or power”!! All you can do is ponder about His existence…and then nothing….there’s nothing else to describe or understand about Him. He is the alpha and the Omega…That’s it! Ponder this…meditate on this… and you will begin to realize who we are dealing with and this makes me tremble! It makes me feel secure…because this powerful being IS MY FATHER!

My salvation is important to me...It's your love for me...thank you!

There are just no human words that can express the awesomeness of His nature. When I ponder these things I get a delayed reaction to my salvation… which is that God planned for us and He Himself planned this elaborate act of love to make us His child and it was a plan that took His only son to come to earth and go through the whole death and resurrection experience for my eternal soul. This makes me cry good tears.

How can mankind think with our bad little selves…that we deserve to go to heaven with this powerful eternal Holy being without a price being paid? We owe God everything for this….but we did not pay a price. How can we jump up in Gods face and demand He give us eternal life? Who do we think we are? Did we create ourselves? If you believe we came from evolution …that could not have produced a soul. Evolved things don’t have a soul. Only God can produce a soul! Only God through His son Jesus can save a soul. We should be on our knees and bowing down thanking God for all He has done for us and praising Him for His holiness and I know I do and so many other do.

I’m never satisfied with my relationship with the Lord. I want to love Him more….I want to know Him more. It’s a continual hunger that I have for Him. One day all my love for God and all my praise and worship of God will be perfect. Right now I’m so thankful for Jesus and the Holy Spirit who is ever-present with me helping me be the best child of God I can be in my life… until the Father calls me home.

Every day I feel spiritual growth and sometimes I have setbacks. Even in my weakness… the Lord restores my soul. I feel blessed…I am blessed. I’m truly thankful for my salvation.

Message for today: Knowing God leads to a better understanding of our salvation…and that produces a very grateful heart. Thank you Jesus…I love you so!

What about Jesus? Oprah’s Statement Part 4

I'm praying for you Oprah!

Today this blog is going to be long so get comfortable.

I said part 3 would probably be the last blog on this subject but I missed discussing a very important part of Oprah’s statement which was…..”There are many paths to God and that loving kindness and generosity can bring people to the same place that the cross can bring you.”
The scriptures are very clear about the way to God and I posted a few of the scriptures and I’ll post them again here:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.(NIV)
 John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.(NIV)
 John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is bornagain.”

If a person is a Christ follower he or she will follow the teachings of Jesus Christ exactly as He has said. Any variation of this is not Jesus Christ way or teachings and if you follow and believe that Jesus is not the only to God then you are wrong.

Another statement of Oprah is that… Jesus came to show us Christ consciousness. This also is not scriptural.
 1 Timothy 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

1 John 3:8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

There are many more reasons for Jesus appearance on earth and many scripture to back this up.

There are many people believing that there are many paths/ways to God and people really get upset over Christians saying that there is only one way. For us….for what the Holy Bible says…is what we believe and stand on. I will never back down off of that….but I’m also not going to down anyone for what they believe because you have the right just as I have the right to believe in what I want to believe in.

God the Father of Jesus Christ who is three persons, the God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and whose Son Jesus in the only way to God is the God I honor, follow and serve. This God of the Bible is who I believe created the universe and is very, very, very Holy. His knowledge and justice is far above anything our minds can barely comprehend.

When we get to a point of understanding God through the scriptures, through our faith, through our belief in His Son and through the power of the Holy spirit who quickens(gives our own spirit the truth that this is real) us….then we can begin to understand why there is only one way to God. We also have to accept the fact that we don’t know everything about Him because we are in a human form and can only process what He has let us know about Himself and His ways.

He does give us enough about Himself in the bible to know Him and when we look around and ponder this earth and all of nature we see Him….His handy work. How can I presume anything else about Him other that what He wants me to know and has revealed to me? I have to be very careful about information that other people write about and speak of when they are saying something about the God I serve. There are many religions, many doctrines, and many thoughts and ideas about God. New movements and new doctrines are being added to the mix every day. The teachings of Jesus have been sustained through many centuries and will continue to do so because of the awesome power behind its truth.

There are so many scriptures That I can post here…and many people have access to a bible…but I feel many will believe in what they will believe in. So what is the point of my post today? Good question…It’s certainly not to slam dunk Oprah and bring her down…no way. I just want to give voice to what I belief…let someone know my heart. If I believe strongly in… Jesus is the only way…I want to say so because people only get one chance in their life before they die to make the right choice and I just want to let it be known…. the what and why of the choice that I made. It’s worth it to really take some time out and think about what you believe in.

I truly care about Oprah and anyone who has different beliefs than I do. I don’t want to fuss or fight, call names, condemn, mock, or poke fun at. This serves no purpose and will do more harm than good. Instead I believe in pointing out truth biblically and soundly and people have the freedom to make their own choice.

Oh one more thing Oprah mentioned on her show. She said what about people in remote areas that never heard of the name Jesus? God does have a way to reach these people…..through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is so amazing….He can speak to a person spirit directly. My sister in Law moved from New York to California and she was a little down one day because she missed her family so much. She said that she was alone and the Holy Spirit spoke to her very clearly and asked her to repent of her sins and to believe and accept Jesus as her personal Savior. She accepted Christ and was born again. No human had spoken to her. So God has His own ways of getting His word out. He is an all-powerful God and is not limited in what He can do.

I really hope this is my last blog on Oprah’s statement ….I think I’ve gone up and down this road quite a bit. I do what God tell me to do…but I think…hope… He wants me to end it here. So remember…I don’t dislike Oprah…I sure she is nice….she has done so much good. I just don’t agree with her statements about Jesus Christ and God. I believe they are wrong.

Message for today: What about Jesus? Are there many paths to Jesus? ……Please make sure in what you believe. I know my blog will not give anybody that big Ah…Ha… moment….but I’m asking you to thoroughly research and make very sure the path you are on is the right one…do your homework. When it’s your time to go….it may be very sudden….you may not have time to think things through. Are you sure when you close your eyes and enter your new life…and open them that you will be feeling great joy or great sadness? Don’t let anybody tell you truth….Know it for yourself.

What Time Is It?

Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

It is time to go into the entire world and tell all people….neighbors….friends….family….co-workers…acquaintances.…..and complete strangers about the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the time and has been the time since this great commission has been given.

In the past few months we have had, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, hailstorms, fires, extreme heat, and tornados. Many people have lost their lives and have lost their houses, businesses, cars and belongings. The emotional effect that all of this has had on people is tremendous. Right now we know that people need financial help to get back to a place of physical comfort…but people also need hope and encouragement.

This is the TIME for us Christians to be discerning, wise, spirit led, gospel spreading, love overflowing, encouraging, caring, helpful, Jesus imitating, people that God wants us and has instructed us to be.

What time is it? It’s time to tell others about the good news….John 3:16….so others might experience God’s grace and mercy for their lives. Many are upset, confused, and discouraged by all that has happen to them right now and there are many hurting souls that are looking for answers and help. It’s time to speak up…..to walk the talk…..let our light shine….lead folks to the light…our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mathew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

To my Christian brothers and sisters out there…..please share your faith and the hope you have with anyone the Lord leads you to. I know it’s challenging to start talking about Jesus to people, but you are not alone in this….the Holy spirit does the big work….He’s already working on people before you open your mouth….we need to be ready, prepared and available. The time is now…..this is your season. The Lord gave me this message today…..God speaks…I listen….and share.

Message for today: Somebody is waiting for you to share your faith…..Your neighbor has been watching you… to see how you a Christian…. is handling your stressful situation….Your co-worker loss her home and is depressed…..how will you act….what will you do…what will you say…. What time is it?….look at your watch right now….that’s what time it is….yup….it’s now…Let’s roll!
