Why Am I here?
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Isaiah 43:7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
If you are NOT a Christian….you probably won’t be able to process this information….but can you at least explore it?
I finally just got this understanding myself a few years ago when I was in very deep prayer. I know that the Holy Spirit gave me this so that I can understand clearly why I’m here…so I’ll try to explain what I received.
The whole purpose for my life is………….”It’s ALL about God!” This whole thing…..life…living…the bible…..all that I know….all that I’ve learned….all I do….my very breath….is all about God. My life is not to be focused on money…things….job. Even friends and family don’t come before God. These things God has allowed me to have and I’m grateful for all He gives me….but….it’s all about Him….God. That’s it! My life is to bring Him glory in all I do and say. My purpose is to do his will…..just like my brother Jesus.
It’s all about God…everything! We are not even down here that long. I can’t believe I grew up…got married and raised a family…..have grown children….and one day in the near future I will not be on this earth and in this form.
Before I became a committed Christian…it was all about me…my wants and my desires. My whole life was geared around living for NOW! After experiencing salvation and the grace, peace, presence and love of God…..I DON’T WANT ANYTHING ELSE BUT GOD!! I know whose I am, why I’m here, and what my purpose is. I am to bring Him glory, worship Him, obey Him serve Him and honor Him with my life. Knowing this information has made me so happy inside and I have so much peace.
This body I have…. only holds my spirit and is a temple for Gods Holy Spirit. When I die…my spirit will leave this body right away and I will be present with the Lord. Right now the Holy Spirit is preparing me for my eternal life….a holy life with God. The Holy spirit is making me into what God wants me to be…although I’m flawed now….I have been forgiven because of Jesus dying on the cross for me and even though I still do sin (my original sin was taken care of by Jesus)….I can ask for forgiveness and I keep pressing on to live a life that is pleasing to God.
I know who I am, I know why I’m here and I know where I’m going! My life has direction. I know my spiritual gifts and I know the natural gifts that God has given me to use on earth…..come on…you’re not gonna me list everything out are you?……Oh good….because my blog would be so long…..but you get my point.
Many people are looking for their purpose in life. Many people are asking this question…..Why am I here?
Our souls seem to have a natural instinct to want to know this information. Until we find this answer we will try to make our life fit in this world…like trying to put a round peg in a square hole. It’s very frustrating so people try to find things and do things to satisfy this longing to know…to fit into this world.
Some might ask….well who does God think He is to get all this attention from us? I tell you…. He is the creator and when you understand this secret of life you will have peace. The secret is hidden in the gospel. Once you unlock that door…goodness will pour into your life…..and then you will be like me…knowing your purpose….knowing why you are here.
Message for today: It’s all about God….everything about us is all about God.
Homework – Get a sheet of paper and list out on one side all of your spiritual gifts and on the other side you natural gifts. Surprised huh?…..to see all God has done in your life.
The Dash…Your life story
If you have very little on your paper….. Houston …we have a problem! Start praying for God to reveal things to you and then……go out and bring some glory to our Father. Many people have preached sermons about your death date on your tombstone…the dash between the day you were born and the day you died. That dash is your life….what have you done? How much glory will God get out of your life?
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Life is garbage because “God” is garbage!
At church they always told me that material things don’t matter, they don’t “satisfy” – whatever that means; spiritual things are more important. This is garbage.
Now I know that material things DO satisfy: money, wealth, sex. I wasted YEARS at church. Don’t make the the same mistake. LIVE (evil backwards) your life, don’t waste it with church.
Christianity is garbage!

It’s ok that you think that God is garbage….a lot of people think that and many hate Him. I want to say that God’s church are His born again saved believers not a building. The way that we really know what God requires and the truth about Him is through the bible and through prayer. Money, wealth, sex, drugs, alcohol are things that do satisfy people for a season but eventually will not provide satisfaction forever and eventually will lead to a deep emptiness as you have to do more and more to be satisfied. Then there is the thing of where will you go when you die. We’re only on this earth for 80 or so years if your life is not up before then.
As you have already been in church and have made your choice to enjoy what this world has to offer…I wish you the best. Of course I pray for you to make Jesus your Lord and Savior…but I understand we have the freedom to make our own choice. Take care!

Life is a waste without God. Never forget there are heaven and hell. Don’t forget, it appointed to man to die and he must give the account of his life to his MAKER. if you miss heaven, you can’t miss hell. what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his own soul in hell?

Now I know, it is not accidental why I asked GOD why am I here for? I’m just longing to see HIM and no matter what I do I think I know where can I find HIM.
I know He had done me a miracle and I thanks HIM. It’s a very long 50 years story and HE is the only one who knows it. HE knows what’s in my heart all the time, there”s nothing hid from HIM. I pray to honor HIM with all the things that I do everyday of my life and with the help of HIS Holy Spirit I always pray that may my words and actions cause others to glorify HIS Name.

I here the new term YOLO (You Only Live Once) all the time now.
I’m searching for something better than my past.
I attempted to make a list as you suggested on Spiritual and Natural gifts. I can honestly say I had none. I don’t know my purpose, but I do know I pray daily for direction. I have been searching for guidance my entire life and have not had any progress. I just don’t hear God. I have been rejected by everyone in my life to some degree; used by so many; and shunned by others. I have so much shame about my life it is unbearable. Majority of my life, I’ve been in a depressed state of mind, but I still push to make something happening. Abused and neglected as a child, beat by my childrens Dad, and shut down by family members, the church, and co-workers. I can go on and on about my issues. I just want to hear from God, as I wait I perish. #tired!

The advantage of being a child of God…a born again Christian…a Jesus follower…is that we are a new person and we are renewed every day as we submit our life to Him. I’ve had the same things and worst happen to me in my life. Jesus has taken this woman who was so beaten and broken down and He has made me over spiritually. So I know what God can do if you study His word, pray and trust God. I could NOT have done this on my own. It wasn’t until I totally surrendered myself to God that I saw change and even then the change took time as God has taken me through many lessons and test of trusting Him. There is no other way to understand the purpose of your life. You must know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit…deeply. After this everything else in your life will make sense.
You have to make it up in your mind…either you’re gonna trust God or not! Are you gonna believe in Him or not! And then make a big change to……believe the bible…God’s word to us and do things differently in your mind. Go to bible study…pray earnestly and back it up with obedience to the Lord. There is no other way around this. God’s word is real and has great power. Also….if your heart is not right with God and you are still living in sin or have not really received Jesus as you person Lord and Savior…you will not see any change!!!!!
You can always write me in the sidebar and let me know how things are going as you get to the ROOT of why things aren’t working out for you…and I will be praying too that you will find out what is blocking you from receiving all that God wants and has for you. God bless you!

You are right, many people are asking the question “Why am I here?” The only problem is the world is answering it for them with lies likes “Live in the moment, To be happy (which would be true if they were finding happiness through our Lord), ect” all of which are recipies for more unhappiness because it is not fulfilling. 😦

Live in the moment is what man has been trying to do since the begining of time…striving to make it in this world. We are not going to be here forever…folks better plan for that.
