Yesterday when I was praying and speaking in tongues… I had a very unusual experience. When a person speaks in tongues… it’s a language that is only known to God except when someone is interpreting it to give a message in an understandable language. I recognized a word that I was speaking and that word was…proskuneo. I then saw the most beautiful vision of the Holy spirit and felt His presence.

I just wanted to melt like butter on a hot potato!! I was breathless because of the beauty. I was speechless because of the awe of it all. Most of all I kept thinking to myself how real God is and I’m so grateful to be His child.

Psalms 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

Psalms 99:5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

Proskuneo means worship in the Hebrew and to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand in the Greek. It can also mean to bow down before and lay prostrate in front of in total reverence.

Why did God show me this at this time of my life? I‘ve only had one other experience seeing the Holy Spirit 25 years ago. I’m so hungry for God and I desire to see Him and know Him all the time. I’ve been seeking Him a lot more lately. I want to spend the rest of my life passionately seeking Him even more and I want desperately for those who don’t know Him to meet Him.

Proskuneo is a type of worship that I do in my worship to my Father God. I’ve been worshipping Him this way for all of my committed Christian life. I don’t know any other way to be more intimate with the Lord. It’s my way of knowing God, fellowshipping with Him and ministering to Him. I recognize His holiness and understand who He is in my life and in the whole universe. This knowledge makes me want to…..proskuneo!!!!!

Message for today: Proskuneo (pros-koo-neh’-o) is a word that may sound a little strange…but it’s a word that should be in our spiritual vocabulary and in our heart and mind when it comes to our adoration and interaction with God.
