God Speaks I Listen

In the past few years I have been trusting God like never before. I asked myself what is the difference in my renewal of mind?

1. A few years ago my husband taught a lesson at a bible study on how satan was jealous of us because God was going to create us humans and we’re going to get a chance to be redeemed by accepting the sacrifice of Gods only Son. We we’re going to be adopted by God and become His child. This couldn’t happen to an angel. God put a lot into creating us and redeeming us. I figured out that I am soooo wanted by God. I’m special to Him. We all are!!!

2. I have figured out that God loves me soooo much!!! I understand His extreme and special love for me. (It’s so important to figure this out because when you get it, God’s love will kick the fear out of you!)

3.  God didn’t promise that He would yank us out of every single trial we go through. He did promise us grace and to be there with us through every trial. So I don’t hold stuff against God or blame Him when negative things happen to me or I feel He’s not answering my prayers. I realize God has my BEST interest at heart. He can NEVER fail me!!!!!!!!!!! I’m the child that He planned for even before creation happened. I will not base my trust on Him answering every one of my prayer request like He’s a genie in a bottle. I will trust in Him!

Sidenote:

Old Testament –The Old Testament people didn’t have the Holy Spirit and had to be told to trust in God.

New Testament – teaches us Christians to have hope, believe and trust in the power of God thanks to Jesus and with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Please read, study and meditate on the following scriptures:

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrew 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Trust you Father God!!

One major thing that can keep you from trusting God is looking back at your past, looking too far into your future and looking at your present life with all the complications it has. You have to know who God is (His whole nature, attributes and powerfulness) and you have to separate that from your human trial filled life. You must trust God solely on who He is and what His word says about Him period. Trials and suffering should not get in the way of flat out trusting God.

I have watched many marathons and watching people run for a long time is very fascinating to me. When some of them get close to the finish line they look like they may not make it. Some fall, many are crying from the pain, some lose their bodily functions and then you even see some crawl to the finish line but they do finish. Some of us will be like these marathoners. I feel like them right now. I’ve been talking to myself and telling myself…girl we may take a beating but we are going to drag ourselves over that finish line.

I TRUST in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I also trust in the promises in the bible that God so lovingly provided for us. My mom was extremely sick for many years and she made it to the finish line praising God to the very end of her earthly life.

Life is gonna be what it is folks!!! Either you’re gonna put your trust in God and have peace in your soul or you’re gonna stress out all day every day and live in constant anxiety.   It’s not easy for me to learn to trust God but through series of carefully planned trials, God is perfecting my trust in Him. I tell you… I’ve been through so much and when I look back now all I can say is…..BUT GOD!!!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to have gotten through all of that suffering on my own! So how can I NOT trust God after all He’s bought me through?

My greatest encouragement is that God is in me….The Holy Spirit resides in my body and will be helping me throughout my whole life until the very second my body dies and my soul leaves this earth. I also have so much strength knowing how much God loves me. I know the incredible life that is waiting for me when I cross that finish line. I WILL NEVER SUFFER ANYTHING EVER AGAIN AND I WILL BE ABLE TO EXPERINCE THE  LOVE OF GOD FOREVER!!!!!!!

I can do this!!!! I can make it and so can you!!!!! Let’s all trust God just because He is God!!! Keep calm and trust God. Why? Because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
