I just finished writing my second book called “The Holiness of God”. It has caused me to study long and hard. It really opened my eyes to who God is and I’ve learned a lot about His greatness. In pertaining to us humans, I have to ask the question: WHO DOES THAT? Who does what, you might ask?

Who the heck would leave their glorious environment and nature and purposely come down here to earth to:

  1. Be squeezed up inside of a woman’s body.
  2. Be breastfeed.
  3. Have their diaper (a rag) soiled and changed.
  4. Be told what to do by earthly parents.
  5. Organize your own religion called Christianity.
  6. Have family, friends and religious leaders talk about you.
  7. Be falsely accused of blasphemy against Himself.
  8. Be humiliated!!!
  9. Be scandalized!!
  10. Be tortured and murdered.

WHO DOES THAT?

Matthew 1:22-23 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” which means “God with us”.

Who in the whole universe would take upon themselves all of the blame, accusations, guilt, shame, evilness, in other words sin, just so we humans could be forgiven and one day go to live with God forever?

WHO DOES THAT?

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Who on Gods green earth would step in front of a speeding 7-wheeler Mack truck and take the full impact of a major life ending injuries just to save someone from sure death?

WHO DOES THAT?

Philippians 2:6-8  Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death- even death on a cross! 

Who would give up all their comfort, supernatural abilities and supremeness? Who would be so obedient to their parent (Father God) as to sacrifice their own life for billions and zillions of people of whom some couldn’t give a hoot about them?

WHO DOES THAT?

John 17:1,5 1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

Who would give up this kind of glory even temporarily, for anybody?

WHO DOES THAT?

Romans 5:8  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Who can ever understand a love this powerful, passionate and deep? We were sinners, a hot spiritual mess! Even so Emmanuel came as a propitiation for our sin!!! GOD LOVES YOU!

WHO DOES THAT?

GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD!

It was a lot for God to do that for us!!!! To humble Himself for the sake of His own lowly creations. To allow them to treat Him like that to save us from His own wrath is just unfathomable!!!! If you don’t really know who God is, you might not think to much about it all. But if you realize who He really is and what He has done for each of us, you will want to do everything you possibly can to use your own life to be of service to Him. We need to become “obsessed with God”! He is obsessed with us”!

James 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

I can’t believe that I’m as old as I am now. Life is going by fast. I have peace knowing that Jesus has prepared a place for me. My future, after my life is going to be glorious! Our wonderfully planned kingdom destined lives were all set-in place by Emmanuel “GOD With US”!!! He came to assure our destiny with Him forever!
