A little info about me

Hello and welcome to God speaks I listen. My name is Tanya Nemley and I’m the wife of a minister and mother of 6 adult children. I’ve survived cancer and many other difficult trials in my life. These trials have taught me to totally rely on God for all of my help and strength. The Lord has been faithful to be with me through everything I’ve gone through and He has given me so much peace. Even when times are so overpowering that I can barely catch my breath…the presence of God has overshadowed me and carried me through each and every situation.
Going through many difficulties has kept me very close to God. I need the Lord every hour, every minute and every second of my day. I’m a sensitive person by nature, which is not always good when dealing with people because I can be too sensitive, but this extra sensitivity has enabled me to hear Gods voice in special ways.
I’m a born again Christian and because of the sacrifice Jesus accomplished for us on the cross, I have grace, peace, strength, hope, forgiveness, and God’s love in this life and eternal life with God in heaven.
Note: The Holy Bible is the word of God and nothing can be added to it. What I share will always line up with God’s word. What I share is meant to encourage and lift up and to shine a light. The truth of God’s word speaks for itself.
My goal for these blogs is to share some of the interaction I’ve had with God in prayer and to give messages. You didn’t just come to this blog by chance…I believe you were led here for a reason. Read through some of the archives and see what the Lord might be saying to you today. I wish everyone who stops by my blog…God’s best. God bless you!

Ronald…thank you for visiting my blog. When a person receives Christ as their person Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit comes and indwells that person. So you have the Holy Spirit. Now if you want the infilling of the Holy Spirit so you have the evidence of speaking in tongues you need to seek God in prayer and fully just go for it. When I was blessed with tongues I personally was afraid receiving the Holy Spirit because I grew up in another religion that did not do that. But as I wanted more of everything about God I finally let go….prayed and was in prayer when I receive the blessing. My suggestion is to get in your secret prayer closet and just pray. Pray to know God. Walk with Him… Study the bible and pray some more. If you still don’t get there…just relax because the Holy spirit does dwell in you so you’re OK…really. The important thing here is that you are a child of God…a born again Christian! God bless you!

Please pray for me. I am in need of more faith. I have personal struggles and am having a hard time focusing in Him exclusively. I know he will answer my prayers. I am struggling with releasing the earthly and focusing on His eternity.

Hello John…I truly am sorry that you have personal stuggles. If you are in need of more faith….the only way I know is what the bible says and that’s to know the word of God. You also must be saved…born again. One must be a committed Christian and a have surrendered Christian. We cannot fix ourselves. We need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to do the work in us. We have to be willing to let God have His way in us. I do pray in Jesus name that you will be sold out for Jesus Christ. Start with a simple prayer to God and just ask Him to help you…..but you must be willing to surrender all. The Lord will keep you in perfect peace …..if you keep your mind on Him. Make sure things are right in you heart with God. Be real before Him. You can do this John. I wish you all the very best!! God bless you!!

I have grown to love the blog world. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be doing this or would have lasted this long…..all I can say is…”BUT GOD!” Yup…I’m one big testimony!! Been through a lot….and have gotten lots of victories!!! Praise God!! You are a special woman of God. I hear God say He has given you a strong mind and a big heart. You are always doing for others. God is going to reward you in this life and the next. God gives me names for people sometimes and He calls you “my muffin”. He saids everyone loves muffins and people just love you and so does He. Don’t be weary in well doing…but no matter how others treat you just be that sweet muffin God made you to be. You are so blessed! So be blessed today and I’m going to say a prayer for you after I write this that God… within these next few weeks will bless you in a special way. Expect it!

Thank you Tanya for your blog – I look forward to reading more. Can you teach me how to pray to God, what is the right way? Should I ask for what I want in my life, or should I just pray that God reveals his plan for me and shape me into what he wants for my life? Is it selfish to pray for what we want and what if it is not part of God’s will?
I’m sorry for so many questions – I am hoping to become closer to God through better prayers so I can reach out to Him properly. Thank you for your time reading this.

There is a right way to pray and that’s why bible study is important. I learned to pray from using the Lord’s prayer as a guide and then I just followed it putting in my own words. It’s good to pray knowing God’s will and praying in the spirit. The best thing to do is just talk to God, talk from your heart and do it often. God bless you!

God did get it right, He made you a smart woman who has been through a lot and is strong enough to make it this far. You found this blog and I have been praying for you. This is a new day and you can make a dicission to be happy. The only way I know is to Put God first in everything in your life and most importantly to repent of your sins and Accept Jesus christ as your Lord and Savior. If you do this I can tell you …you will experince true happiness! You can be healed of past pain. It happened to me!!!!! God never ever makes mistakes. I care about you…but much better than me God does. Don’t try to figure Him out…just trust God. He has supernatural power.

Hi Tanya, yes a wonderful testimony. When troubles dictate how close we are to Our Holy Father, Tanya, you must be standing next to Him with your arms around His neck….. 😉
I love God with all my heart, and yes my troubles have helped me seek Him out, and I have found Him. Praise His Name. Now…I know who I am in Him. The Lord is my shepherd and I am filled with His Spirit.

You know I have had many visions of putting my arms around God neck…how did you know??? It gives me comfort always. When I feel I need God or I’m loney I close my eyes and hug God. Everyone should try this. I don’t see God hugging me back…but I feel the Holy Spirit’s presence that gives me a feeling He’s hugging me back and I know it in my heart. I get a wonderful sense of peace.

What a wonderful testimony! I try hard to maintain the same level of faith as you have but, as I’m sure you know it isn’t always easy. And I’m ashamed to admit my trials have been nothing compared to yours.
