Dear God,
A new year is coming and I’m concerned about this coming year. There’s so much facing us your creations day to day. The pressure is sometimes almost unbearable. Fear amongst us is understandably rampant. I have to admit that I have uneasy feelings about the coming year but you always bless me and I get extra strength from reading your words in my bible. There are a few scriptures that have really been my help all year every year.
1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Proverb 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.…
You told us here to toss ALL our anxiety on you and not to rely on our own understanding. You told us to recognize your authority in our lives and you will guide us in the right direction. Oh we need you Lord God!
God your Holy word…the “bible”… is filled with all the help and strength I need in my life so that I can face another new year with hope and I thank you for that.
Thank you so much for all you have done for us this year…there was so many things you did for us that we didn’t even notice…thank you!
Help us do and be all that you want us to be. Protect us and keep us healthy and safe Father God.
Thank you in advance for all your blessings in the coming year!
To you God only belongs all the Praise, Honor and Glory forever!
I ask these things in Jesus name….Amen.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Thank you for your post. It is wonderful. I’ve had many ups and downs this year. With time, I’ve learned to look at the downs as opportunities to learn and grow in my faith. I’ve learned to look and see the wonderful things and people that God has placed in my path, and I’ve come to the conclusion that those opportunities are priceless. Thank you God for giving me more than I ever imagine.
