The Serenity Prayer
God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
Reinhold Niebuhr (1892–1971).
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Just read another post about trusting God completely, regardless, without fear, as Job did. There are areas of my life where I struggle with this; but I think God is speaking to me with these posts. Thank you for sharing this.

Drusilla…we all go through doubts in Gods ability to manage our lives. I think this is my greatest area of sinning beside forgiving others. Thank you for your honesty in admitting your struggles in this area. Knowing God as I do….He will surely help you in this area. His lessons….testing! I know because of all the test I keep getting. His testing is…trying at times but VERY effective. I pray that you will overcome in this area of ….trust. In Jesus name…Amen.

Thank you, Tanya. Our nation needs all the prayers it can get. Our hope in the aftermath of this election is that God will bless us with peace and the comfort that He’s still in charge!
