Psalms 69:28  May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous.

My blog on 2/22/2012 was very important and today I want to tell you why.

What is the book of life? The book of life is the names of everyone ever born.   The evil sinful people will have their names blotted out of this book. The Lambs book of life are those who have made Jesus their personal Lord and Savior and are born again and their names are permanently written in this book and are in the book of life also.  John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” This is the only way that you can get into heaven when you die.  Your name must be in the Lambs book of life.   If it’s not this is what will happen:  Revelation 20:15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

I tell you the truth from God’s word.  This is what God says and many have not told it like it is.  This is it!  There is no getting around it or putting perfume on it…or putting a different spin on it.  If you think it’s cruel or unfair…then you don’t know about or understand the Holiness of God.  I don’t try to understand His ways and I can’t because I’m human.  I will understand all of this one day….and that day will be when I am in my glorified body because I have died.  It will be clear to me as I will be perfected and know what God knows.  Until then…I’m not going to go outside of God’s clear word on this.  I won’t be moved!  I know my name is written in both these books.  John 10:28-30 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

This is the real important thing I want to say here…….

If you are not a Christian your name will be blotted out of the book of life.  Now I am a Christian and all of my immediate family members are Christians.  But those family and friends who are not…their names will be blotted out of the book of life and when I get to heaven they will be as if they never existed to me.  God would not let me spend eternity missing them.

So…..it’s very important and urgent that we:

  1. Pray for the unsaved
  2. Pray for our boldness to share the gospel of Jesus Christ AKA the good news
  3. After doing the two previous things…Just do it!   Word up, Show up, and Speak up!
  4. Follow the Holy Spirits leads and be obedient to the Lord as He directs you.
  5.  Be available!

Philippians 4:3 Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

As you can probably tell….I’m burdened for souls….it could be your husband, mother, sister or brother I’m burdened for.  There are so many catastrophes going on everyday now….strange weather events…mass killings…so many car accidents…robberies and on and on.  We should not be fearful…but alert.  I know the Lord…I’m happy in my home and my church…and my life….but I see what’s going on around me and I know and feel the need to pray for those who know not Jesus Christ!

Revelation 3:5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

TO BLOT OUT MEANS TO COMPLETELY REMOVE FROM ONES MEMORY OR RECOGNITION.  OH MY GOD!!!! FAMILY….FRIEND….LOVED ONES….NEIGHBORS…..CO-WORKERS….MY DOCTOR………OH MY LORD MY GOD…HELP ME TO BE A BETTER WITNESS FOR YOU….In Jesus Name..Amen.

John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Mathew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Mathew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

God has been doing a great deal these days.  In the spirit…there is a lot going on!  If you could see in the spirit world… there’s a lot the enemy is doing and there is a lot going on in the natural… we can see some of that by watching the news.  But the Lord has His army of angels and workers out there too!  Many things are being orchestrated and the Lord says that many people are waiting for us to hold up the light so they can see their way into the kingdom.  They WILL follow the light.  We need to shine brightly for Jesus right now.  

 I go out every day with my flashlight into the darkness.   Even in my house I’m shining my light to anyone who enters and also on my phone and the internet and on my knees in prayer for people to get saved.

I mean business right now for the Lord and have stepped up my game.  Ask my husband…all I do is think about and pray about… how I can get people to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  I have my own tracts of my own testimonies.  I find it easier to share what I’ve been through and what God has done in my life.  I also have my own personalized tracts with scriptures and info about salvation.  I had them printed up and when I go out… I hand them to strangers as the Holy Spirit leads me to.  I’m….you know what I’m going to say here…..59 years old and I don’t know how long I have left but I tell you….I’m not going to waste one precious minute of my life not doing all I can to share the “good news” of Jesus Christ.  I raised my kids and can spend even more time to the cause of Jesus Christ.

I feel very strongly to say this to everyone….the harvest is ready….please dust off your testimony and get equipped and trained in presenting the gospel to others.  Let your everyday life so scream the name of Jesus in how you are living… that others will want what you have.  That they will see Jesus in your life.  People’s eternal lives are depending on you.  Don’t leave this up to the missionaries or your pastor or church…we are in fact…”the church of Jesus Christ”….we all are workers in God’s kingdom…we are all a part of the vine.  We all have gifts and talents to share.  We all can flow in the anointing of the Lord.  We are the Church!  Onward Christian soldiers.  Let’s carry that bloodstained banner so all can see and hear about the good news.  Pray for boldness and wisdom.  On we go…. forward march!!

Throughout my whole life…I have had the same nightmare of somebody chasing me in my dreams.  In fact…I can’t watch any kind of suspense movies.  The few that I have watched with my husband…I closed my eyes and put my fingers in my ears so I can’t see or hear the scary parts until it passes.  Yes…I’m a big chicken when it comes to watching scary movies…so I try not to.

But then…I read this scripture verse and I tell you…it has been such a blessing to me:

Psalms 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

They have the secret service...we have goodness and mercy!

You know… famous people can’t go just anywhere because of impending danger from stalkers and out of control fans so they must have body guards everywhere they go.  All former presidents of the United States have to have the secret service follow them around all the days of their lives…but we are famous too.  We are children of the King and we too have security following us all the days of our lives because of impending danger from the enemy hoping to completely destroy and consume us..  Doesn’t the knowledge of God’s protection and 24 hour security make you feel good?…Hey not just good but….AWESOME!!!

You know I’m always telling you how old I am.  I’m very happy to be alive that long as a cancer survivor…so yes I’m happy to keep saying it.  I’ve been here for 59 years and for 59 years….goodness and mercy has been closely following me.  They used to stay in the background…but one day I needed to see them really bad so I asked them to come around to the front where I could get a good look at them.  You know how when you’re going through stuff you feel alone?  So they revealed themselves to me by the power of the Holy Spirit and my study of God’s word.  Although they still follow me very closely…I feel as if I’m surrounded by them because they are manifested so powerfully in my life.  This goodness and mercy is keeping it…as the song says… WELL WITH MY SOUL!

Oh my goodness!!...I’m being followed by goodness, mercy and Jesus!

Goodness and mercy keeps me from losing my mind in the midst of it all…and you all know I am going through the ALL!  I know there are some folks out there with me in the “all”…Can I get a amen?  Alright now!

But I want to say….I don’t take God’s grace and mercy for granted.  I’m on my face in prayer… grateful and very respectful of this great…great privilege and blessing from God.  This scripture says why:

Psalms 25:10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant.

If you love God…If you love Jesus…then you will want to keep His commandments and goodness and mercy will follow you.  Be faithful to God and He will 100% be faithful to you!!!!!!  God will never fail you….ever….how can He with a promise such as Psalms 23:6.  The Lord says in His word that… never will He leave us; never will He forsake us.  Forsake means abandon.  God will NEVER abandon us!!

Message for today: God will never abandon us because goodness and mercy are following me and you all the days of our lives. Halleluiah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.

Well… Jesus did weep or cried when He was on this earth…but I’ve added that He might have said.… “Are you feelin’ me?  And I am saying to Him…. I’m feelin’ you Jesus… “I’m feeling you!!

(“Are you feelin’ me?” is a slang term for… do you understand what I’m trying to express to you….Do you understand my passion or my heart.)

John 11:33  When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.

John 11:35 Jesus wept.

In the true bible story of Lazarus in John 11:1-45 Lazarus had died and His sisters Mary and Martha sent word for Jesus to come to help them…but Jesus took His sweet time because He knew Lazarus was going to be raised from the dead so that he could bring Glory to His Father.  Sometimes the Lord will appear to be slow in answering one’s prayer because He knows there will be a very good outcome…but we humans get impatient.  He tells us in His word to wait on Him.

Mary...are you feelin' me? Trust what you know about me...please!

Now Jesus eventually did get there in… “Jesus time”.  Yeah…we know about “Jesus time” don’t we?…I know about Jesus time for sure.  As I always say…when I get to heaven…I’m buying God a new watch….maybe  Rolex or a Timex…but I think maybe an atomic clock that way He’ll never have to set it!  Yes… God has His own timing and whenever He does bless you….you can bet your bottom dollar…it will be the right time!!!

So Jesus gets near the cemetery and Martha goes running out to meet Him. Jesus tried to tell her that He is the one who resurrects people but…Martha wasn’t… “feelin’ em”.  He had been with them taught them and performed spectacular miracles in their presence and they still didn’t get it about who He really was.  Then Mary and her crowd go running up to Jesus and she also wasn’t….“feelin’ em”…so she just started bawling at His feet. Jesus wasn’t…“feelin’ em” either and was troubled by their lack of trust in Him to keep Lazarus alive.

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

I know how Jesus feels when people just don’t get it.  The other day I tried to witness to a store owner and he began telling me all this way out stuff about His beliefs or theories about God  and Jesus.  He just didn’t get what I was trying to explain to Him. Mary, Martha and the crowd just didn’t get what Jesus is all about.  It’s frustrating when you know what you know.  So I can imagine that Jesus probably wanted to throw His hands up and shout… “Oy Vey”!!!!!!  But Jesus cried because He was sad at their lack of understanding in the matter…They really didn’t…”feel him”.

Jesus was human and had emotions and expressed His frustration through His tears.

Jesus was also faced with something I don’t enjoy being around…and it’s all that negativity.  There was an air of doubt hanging over their heads.  Have you ever been around a group of doubters?  A get thee behind me sought of thing?  But Jesus did His thing and God got the glory when Jesus yelled in His anointed voice and Lazarus came out in His mummified clothing.  Then Jesus told them to get Lazarus out of those clothes and let Him go. Now if I was there and saw that dead body coming back alive…Jesus would have to revive me too because I would have passed out for sure!!!  So Lazarus was healed and free!  The bondage of death had him no more…he was free to live the rest of his life and give God the glory.  I’m sure Lazarus had a story to tell for generations….Hey that true story is still being told…today on my blog…well of course in the bible first.  Please read the whole story today in John 11:1-45

Message for today: Jesus wants us to remember who He is…Why He came….How great the Father is…And what He can do in and through our lives.  Are you…“feelin’ em” today?

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Oh Lord save my baby!!!!!

Mark 5: 35,36,39,41,42 

 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”  “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”  Immediately the girl stood up….

This is a true bible story about a little girl in the bible….but I’m about to tell you my true story about my little girl raised from death.

I was in the delivery room about to give birth to my third child April… on April 14, 1978.  It was a happy time because I loved children and was so ready to meet my new child.  I laid on that delivery room table in full labor… and after all that pushing my child was born….dead!!!!

I waited to hear that cry as I had before giving birth and …..No cry!  No signs of life in her little body! As I asked what was going on…why was my baby not crying…they held me down and nurses stood on the side of me so I couldn’t see all the commotion going on around the table that they were trying to revive her on.  I prayed…”oh Lord please save my baby!!”.   It seem like hours…but it was about 5 minutes before I saw a relief from the staff as they all had been very tense.  The nurse finally told me everything was alright and they let me turn my head to look towards my…daughter. 

Before they took her to intensive care they let me see her.  They were so happy to show her to me….but when I saw her I was SHOCKED because she was blue.  I’d never seen a blue baby before.  After a few weeks in the hospital…my beautiful baby came home and this ended happily ever after because she has grown up to be a very wonderful woman.  Another gift to me from God…I have 6 gifts…6 children…whose lives were spared in a miraculous way.  I shared about my son Noah and I have more stories to share in the future.

I said all of this to make this point today.  I was born dead and you were born dead too. Ephesians 2:5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Why were we dead? Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

How was this problem fixed? Romans 5:10  For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Who fixed this problem? Jesus Christ God’s own Son.  2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

This should make you want to get up and do a back flip today!!  Because of Jesus Christ we are no longer dead in our spirit man because of mans original sin bought on by Adam and Eve.  Jesus sacrificed His own life and bore all of the sin of mankind so that we may be put right with God. My soul is right with God.  This is why it is well with my soul.

I’m so thankful for my new life…that I have been born again.  This is why I have such peace in the midst of it all.  This is why I have so much hope and so much joy!!  I was an enemy of God because of my sin…but I am now a friend of God…in fact…I’ve been adopted into His family…in fact…He is now my Father and I’m His daughter!!!  Go figure that!…I’m God’s child!!!  I’m alive and well!!!

Message for today: I was dead but I repented of my sins, believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior and now…….

I’M ALIVE…..   I AM…ALIVE!!

Valentine’s Prayer…God is Love

1 John 4:8  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Today is Valentine’s Day and the name Valentine goes back to 269AD when two Christians named  Valentine from Terni and Rome were martyred.   February 14th was the day chosen to honor them.    But it wasn’t until the 14th century when a few poets from England wrote about love and a bird’s time for finding a mate in England… that is when this holiday really began to take shape.

Whatever the true reason is for this holiday celebration…I believe it’s a great one because the greatest fact about the nature of God our Father is that……GOD IS LOVE!  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

So… today as we think of those we love in a special way…let’s consider the beginning of love…”GOD“.

Dearest heavenly Father,

I want to thank you for the precious gift of love that you have given to the world and to me.  Thank you for blessing me with this love and the strength that I get from you every single day.  Without your love for me I can’t be….I can’t function….I can’t even breathe…because I NEED your love to sustain me.  It’s like food and medicine for my soul Lord.

 Please continue to let me feel your comforting love in my life and Lord I give myself over to you to perfect in me this gift of love…that I may be able to express it and share it with others.  Lord…I have not always been good at this…forgive me.  Father God…some people are harder to love than others…but I want to be like your Son Jesus…so please continue the work you are doing in my life so that my heart will be like yours. In Jesus name I pray.

Gods gifts…A voice…And Whitney Houston

As a singer who has sung some of Whitney Houston’s gospel music….I’m saddened this morning of not only her loss…but also that her gift is silent forever. Whitney was raised up in church and I’m sure that as God has promised in His word that nothing will separate us from His love….she is safe in His arms.

Many people are bringing up her mistakes and I thought of this scripture that Paul said…1 Corinthians 4:3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 

I just want to say that it’s amazing…the gifts of talent and skill that some people have and Whitney’s voice was just that…an amazing gift.

This morning is my Sunday to sing a solo in church and while I’m no Whitney Houston…I’ll use my gift to sing….It is well with my soul.  Many of you know I wrote a blog about that last week.  Whitney Huston tried hard to regain a well soul and it’s something that can be difficult for all of us at one time or another. David in the Psalms asked God to help him with this…

Psalm 51:10-12  Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

How can it be well with your soul?

  1. Put God first.
  2. Talk to Him all day every day.
  3. Study and know your bible.
  4. Ask Jesus to wash you clean…to forgive your sins.
  5. Trust Him for everything.

Message for today:  Let’s keep Whitney’s daughter and family in prayer.  Today let’s make sure all is well with our soul and pray for those who are struggling with their’s.

God speaks I listen and share:

I feel to share that the Lord is saying….this is still early in the New Year and all throughout this year will be relief for many…there’s something the saints need to do.  Put God ahead of everything.  It’s God and stuff.  God and you…God and your family…God and your job….God and your money…God and ________.  Don’t leave God out of anything you do.  Consult Him…seek His face and seek His will.  This is the year 2012 for….God and you.  This is a year 2012 for you to keep your eyes on the Lord and be sensitive for the leading of the Holy Spirit who is your help, guide and instructor.  This is the year 2012 for you to cast all your care on the Lord.  This is your year of….relief!!!  Know God’s word and know God’s will….for your life.  Wait on Him!  Don’t go ahead of the Lord but wait on Him.

Mathew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.(KJV)

Mathew 6:33 But first be concerned about God’s kingdom and his righteousness, and all of these things will be provided for you as well.(ISV)

John 19:16-  Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

Hello there….My name is Barabbas AKA Jesus Barabbas… JB for short.  All my life I have been trouble.  My mother said she wish I would shut my mouth sometimes because I always had something to say and was always starting trouble.  My sisters and brothers were sick of me because I was the boss over them even though I was not the oldest.  I had to have my way…in fact it was my way or no way.  I left home in my early teens because I thought I knew it all and I also bought a lot of shame to my family because I was a thief.  I joined this gang of men who were talking a lot about taking over things and their ideals appealed to my young impressionable mine… so I did whatever I had to do for the cause even if it meant stealing and with that…it lead to other evil acts…and yes…I even committed murder!

I thought I was done for when I got caught and they threw me into prison.  If fact…I was going to be killed…crucified as they called it.  That’s what they did to criminals like me.  While I was in prison…I heard about a man named Jesus.  They say He was a king of some sought…there were even claims that he was the Son of God.  Go figure that!  Who would be that crazy to make a claim like that?  So like…I’m sitting here in this nasty rat infested prison waiting to d-i-e….and I hear my name being shouted in the streets.  I’m thinking….”these folks really want me dead!”  Next thing I know…the guards are coming to my cell and they open the door and tell me I’m free…”go…get out of here”!  So I left and returned to my gang.

I was curious as to why I was let out…so I nosied around and found  out that there was a man named Jesus who I heard rumors about when I was in jail who was going to be crucified in my place.  They say He didn’t really commit any real crimes.  He was beaten and tortured and they were going to release Him… but the people shouted for my freedom and instead of letting this guy go….they released me!  Hey…lucky for me I thought to myself.

It was about the 6th hour of the day….I went to the place that is a known area where they crucified people and I asked around in the crowd… “Where is this Jesus who is being crucified today?”  Someone pointed and said to me….”see those three crosses over…it’s the man in the middle”’

So I went over there and saw a few people by the cross who looked so sad.  There was some women crying and they seemed to be so heartbroken.  As I looked up at those men on the wooden crosses… I looked at the man in the middle and I said to myself…: that should’ve been me”  He didn’t rob anybody…he didn’t kill anybody…it should have been me!!  This man called out to His Father in such anguish.  The look on His face…I will never forget!  He spoke to some people who were near the foot of the cross and also spoke to one of the men being crucified beside Him.  The look on this mans face seemed to be relief and then peace.

 

Then the man in the middle mumbled some words and died.  Right after this some incredible things started happening.  I was so scared that I ran.  On my way home I saw people who had died walking the streets…oh my goodness!!…scary stuff!!…..nothing was wrong with them!!!  There were other shocking stories of other things that happened that day.  Then the most shocking of all…about three days later…there were rumors that this man in the middle was alive again…walking the streets in fact!!!  What in the world is going on here?!!!!!!

I began to ponder all of these events and I pondered about my life and how it was spared.  My heart was so broken over all the evil acts I committed and I felt such conviction in my heart.  I felt something I never felt before…guilt.  I left my gang and sought out some of these followers of the man in the middle.  They called themselves…disciples.  My life is really changed now…I finally have peace…I feel like a new person with this man in the middle in my life….I’ve even reconnected with my family…and I owe this all to….the man in the middle….Jesus Christ…the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Luke 23: 18-25  But the whole crowd shouted, “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!” 19 (Barabbas had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.)

20 Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. 21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

22 For the third time he spoke to them: “Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.”

23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. 24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand. 25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.
