Witnessing…Why Do That?

My pamphlet hand

The definition of witness is:

Attesting to a fact, a person who gives evidence of something specific, one who testifies, one who has personal knowledge of something, and to give public affirmation.

To witness for the Lord is to tell others these POWERFUL bible scriptures:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

  1. You should tell others that God loves you and gave up His only Son for you so you can have eternal life.
  2. That you have sin in your life and fall way short of God’s glory and holiness.
  3. That you need to be real sorry and repent of your sin.
  4. That Jesus was born of a virgin mother, died, was buried and rose again from the dead for you.
  5. You need to declare this and believe in Jesus Christ so you can have eternal life.

witnessing 3

This is the bible basics of our faith. These are the things that Jesus and the disciples testified about. If these few scriptures were all you knew about your faith (and I hope this is not the case) and you went out and preached these scriptures you could turn this world upside down. We should be doing this! But are we?

Witnessing is testifying about what God has done for you and you telling others about the remarkable facts of salvation.

Why should we do this?

How should we do this?

The why..…The #1 reason is….  BECAUSE THE LORD ASKED US TO IN HIS WORD!!!!!!

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (This is God’s will for our lives)witnessing 2

God doesn’t need us to work for Him but He is giving us an opportunity to serve Him for our benefit as well as for others. He could’ve taken us home right after salvation but God chose to use us to bless others with the same opportunity that was afforded us.

The how….How requires 2 separate parts.

1. The first part of this answer is with the power of the Holy Spirit. He’s at the forefront of witnessing because He is the one who has already been speaking to that person’s heart to convict them of their sin and to accept Jesus. So depending on where that person is at in the process of seeking answers in their life is where you fit in. They may be ripe for the pickings or they might be at the beginning of the surrendering process. You have no way of knowing so just be available to the Lord.

2. The second part is that we should have a plan on how we will witness or testify of the Lords goodness and plan of salvation for their life.

There are many ways to do this such as:

  1. Straight up approaching someone directly and doing a one on one approach.
  2. Going out with an evangelistic group and doing things like street ministry.
  3. Casually using a friendship or relationship that you have with someone to get close enough with them until the Holy Spirit leads you to talk about the good news of the Gospel.
  4. Committing to praying for a person’s salvation.
  5. Using tracts

All Christians should have a plan to be a witness for the Lord. It’s not an easy thing to do in today’s world but there is a way and we must be ready and prepared. We must work in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. We should know the basic reason for our faith. We should be prayerful. We should be bold but not pushy.

I use to have a great deal of fear about witnessing but now I’m not fearful anymore. When I think about the eternal future of my fellow-man I feel I great compassion. Now that I’m older and see my time quickly passing, I want to spend the rest of my life making a difference in others’ lives so that they can have a chance for eternal life. So I figured out the witnessing style that works best for me and I have tried to perfect it. Allow me to share the way I approach sharing my faith with others.

My pamphlet

This is my pamphlet

I call my way…”The Pamphlet”

Many years ago my way of witnessing was to wear my “I love Jesus button” every single time I stepped out my house.  I had religious stickers on the bumper of my car. I was also armed with gospel tracts that I bought from a Christian bookstore. I did this for many years until one day the Lord told me not to use those things anymore. It’s not that there was anything wrong with them. The Lord said it was time for me to let my light shine. It was time for me to speak up about my faith. I was like…”YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT GOD?” I felt like God pushed me into a crowd of people and said go for it. I did tell God that I was available so I happily obliged Him.   I did street witnessing with another church member every Saturday for a year. That was real nerve-wracking, but the more I did it the better I got. I gave out a lot of pre-made gospel tracks but I felt it wasn’t my story so I wrote my own personal story about my life and how I became a Christian. My wonderful husband made it into a pamphlet for me.witnessing 6

So what I do is I strike up a conversation with anybody about anything like the weather or that I like their handbag. When I finish talking I say this…” I’ve been through a lot and this is my story”. They take my pamphlet and say thank you. This works every time!!! I’ve given out 2,500 pamphlets and I just purchased a new box of 1,000 more. I leave them in stores and waiting rooms and I put them on bulletin boards… just everywhere I can. I’ve written a few different ones like one on my battle with depression and suicide and how God healed me.witnessing

Everyone has a story and there’s nobody better to tell it than you! You should testify of God’s goodness of how He got you though that hard time and the story of your salvation. This could be your way of being a witness for the Lord. Will you take some steps to prepare yourself to be a better witness?  Will you think about it and write your story or do any other thing to spread the gospel?

How merciful is God?

mercy

Matthew 27:44 The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.

mercy 5

So you think you’re a dag gone King or something.  You’re a piece of trash you idiot!!!

Luke 23:39-43  One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

How merciful is our God?

mercy

Son of God…have mercy on me!!  Please!

As I was reading and pondering the events of the crucifixion of Jesus I was thinking about how the two thieves crucified with Christ were bad mouthing, disrespecting (AKA dissing) Jesus. Both were involved in the insulting but something happened to just one of them. He had a change of heart, a change of mind and the recognition of who God was. He also recognized the kingdom of God. Wow…you would think it would take a lot of teaching to understand the kingdom of God and the justice of God too. He didn’t have time to read a bible or even be witnessed to by anyone. His time for being alive was almost gone. How did he figure all this out in the last minutes of his life?

I believe the power of the Holy Spirit was right there revealing truth and offering mercy from God to these two men. God was trying to offer salvation/eternal life to them right up to the bitter end but only one would accept the gift of salvation. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) This promise extends throughout a person’s entire life right down to the last second.

mercy 2

Remember Me Jesus!!!  Please!

I was so moved in my heart as I pondered the fact of God’s mercy and amazing grace and I will never stop praying for people that I’ve been praying for salvation for years. I also realized how many chances God gives everyone to make it to heaven. GOD IS SO MERCIFUL!!!

The death and resurrection of Jesus is for whosoever!! Whosoever means any person. Any person who will declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Jesus could have been crucified by himself but I believe God included the other two men to make a point.  God used this opportunity to show His mercy by offering forgiveness for the thieves on the cross.  He also showed mercy for the murderers present and for all of us humans who need a Savior.

(We should never assume anyone went to hell when they died.  I have been near death a few times and even though I was a Christian the first thing that came to my mind was to ask God to forgive me of my sins.  It’s a natural instinct that comes on you in the face of extreme danger. I know not all people will feel that way and they will die in their sinful state.)

This holiday season… lets remember how merciful God is. Jesus death and resurrection should affect us all day every day!  He commands us to remember!

Jesus offers us LIFE eternal. Thank you Jesus!!

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

CHURCH HURT !

church hurt 1

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I hear the words “church hurt” so frequently that I wanted to talk about it since I’m well acquainted with the term. It’s not a good feeling to experience church hurt because people become like family so when there is a problem in this relationship it can cut very deeply. Let’s first explain what church hurt is. It’s when the leadership, people in spiritual authority or church members knowing or unknowingly cause heartache to another member. This can be done by words, by slighting or backstabbing. It’s very painful to endure and can deeply affect the person, their family and friends. It can even lead to a church split.

It seems that this common trend is happening more and more. It’s a very old trick that the devil uses to divide the body of Christ and causes disunity. So this is in fact a spiritual battle. This problem is so common that I’m sure there would be enough books to fill a football stadium. The same enemy that affected the first humans and tried to separate them from God forever is the same enemy that is trying to separate us from God and each other.church hurt

What are some of the reasons one would cause church hurt?

  1. Jealousy
  2. Needing to be in control
  3. Lack of love
  4. The person doing the hurting is really a non-Christian
  5. Lack of obedience to the word of God/ lack of fear of God
  6. Power hungry, prideful and arrogant
  7. The person has mental issues
  8. Poor training or leadership abilities
  9. Trouble maker/bully
  10. Rebellious spirit

Whatever the reason it is not appropriate in the house of the Lord.

We must remember that God gave the church to Jesus and Jesus must be at the forefront of everything in our lives including our place of worship. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossian 1:18

How we act reflects on Jesus. Jesus is the head of the church and not only does church misbehaving cause disunity in the body but it does a much more damaging thing. It’s a very poor example to the children of the church because they can sense what’s going on and it can lead a lasting impression on them. Plus it’s very damaging for trying to win souls to the Lord.

church hurt 2

Many years ago I invited an unsaved family member to my church and they picked up on the choir mess. They took note of the rolling of eyes in the choir, the whispering and such. What they told me was what I knew to being going on in the choir at that time. Many people dropped out of the choir and even left the church because of the choir mess.

I can tell you for sure that God is not pleased with this stuff at all because of this scripture verse:

1 John 4:20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

Everything that Jesus Christ had ever done in His brief earthly life was motivated by Love. His love for His Father and His love for us!!! Everything I do in my life is also motivated by my love for my Father God. I want so much to please Him and I know the only way to do anything for Him is out of Love for Him and love for my neighbor. I admit I don’t always get this right or do it well but I can tell you that my motivational force is to please the Lord.

I’m going to keep it real simple here because this is not a complicated concept that God has given us to follow and do.

church hurt 3

These two scripture verses sums up what God expects and demands from us:

  1. John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.
  2. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Now as I always say…”God don’t play”. This is what He has to say about you if you behave un-Christian like:

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

I ain’t gonna say nothin’ behind God’s word here! I know you get it….I hope.

church hurt 4

What can I do about this problem?

Now if this unfortunate thing called “church hurt “does happen to you…What can you do or what are your alternatives?

  1. Do this: (love)

But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6: 26-27

To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-9

  1. Do this too: (forgive)

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:21-22

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

    3. Do this also: (pray)

bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:28

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 Peter 5:7

Talk to the leadership about the problem. If the leadership is the problem you will have to pray to see if the Lord wants you to confront them. Maybe the alternative solution is for you to leave the ministry after a period of time of trying to work things out. It’s a difficult thing anyway you look at it. So very wisely try to resolve this problem.

I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT IN NO WAY SHOULD CHURCH HURT DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR RELATIOSHIP WITH THE LORD!!! DON’T USE THIS AS A REASON TO STOP PRAYING, READING YOUR BIBLE OR WORSHIPING GOD!!!

Now that you have come to the conclusion after much prayer and you feel you have to leave…what now? As crushed as you feel I’m sure you’ll need someone to talk this over with just so you can release your hearts pain…but be very wise and find a trusted Christian friend not in your same circle of past church friends and just share and pray. You will really need this if you’re not married because married couples have each other to cry the blues with.

church hurt 5

Pray for God’s guidance and look for the Holy Spirit’s leading

Start researching about other churches or ministries that you can attend until you find something else that will suit your needs. Look on line and ask friends for suggestions. Don’t be in a hurry to join a new ministry but be wise and pay attention to what your needs are, the doctrine and the overall vibe of the body. Remember everyone’s very nice at first. Take your time…ask questions and be discerning without going into FBI mode.

Nobody ever forgets past heartaches, hurts and pains…it kinda stays with you….forever…but you can get PAST it for sure. You need to build on your love for the Lord and keep it moving.

Jesus was dissed by His earthly friends and followers big time… but what did He say at His death… “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. As they were painfully killing Stephen in the bible he said this… “Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.”

There is a lot of work to be done in the kingdom of God so let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Hang in there!! Don’t faint!

Do Ya’ll know where I work?

work

I just got a fresh revelation:

And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;…John 16:8

He is the Holy Spirit.

The job of witnessing to the unsaved has already been accomplished by the Holy Spirit!! They already got the heads up….they got the memo about Jesus!!  So when we approach them they are already under heavy conviction!!  Oh how God loves his creations and they just reject him.  So non believers….they know… because the Holy spirit is already giving them pressure!  They are being rebellious!!!  THEY ARE TRULY WITHOUT EXCUSE!!!!

By the time we get to them they have been already telling God no for all their lives.

At some point we might get to witness to one of the unsaved whose heart is sufficiently softened and they finally want to believe!  I’m determined to find these people.  My heart breaks for people who reject God’s precious gift of Jesus who died because He loved them so much! God has done everything from sending the Holy Spirit to making it so that the earth itself reveals God.  Then God uses other Christians to reach out to them on top of all that!!   Again…THEY ARE TRULY WITHOUT EXCUSE!!!!work 3

These people don’t believe the good news or even want to hear about it.  But we…me and you…are walking billboards for Jesus with invisible signs on our chest saying…follow me to Jesus!  They don’t know that we are Christ workers empowered by the Holy Spirit to be representatives for the kingdom.  We walk around in stealth mode emitting an anointing of Christ love for them.  We zap them with our spiritual stun guns and either they fall down and come up new or they just shake it off and walk away.work gun

I punch in everyday for this job and work all day.  Pay is low now… but it has a GREAT pension plan!  I’ll be able to retire and live a GREAT life in the future.  In the meantime I must get back to work so talk to you later!

The Choices we make

choice 3

choice 4

I’ve been thinking a lot about the choices in life we humans have to make. A choice that we all have to make at some point in our lives is… should we chose Verizon wireless, AT&T, Sprint or Metro PCS! LOL!

Eve and Adam made a choice that affected all of us!! Not in a good way either!  Yeah… Eve made the choice first let’s list the blame in the right order.

The first choice we all ever made was to obey or disobey our parents. We were taught the difference between right and wrong.   At an early age we learned that our actions had repercussions. Our next important choice was when we heard about God and Jesus and we chose whether we were going to follow that lead or go another way. Some people were raised in situations that guided them on a different path but ultimately we all come across the story of Jesus Christ and decide to go with that, another god or no god.

Proverbs 21:19 Many plans are in a man’s heart, But the counsel of the LORD will stand.choice 1

But there are many other choices in life we also have to make. As they say we only have one life to live and will we make good choices for ourselves or bad choices? Most humans make a combination of good and bad choices.   God made a very good choice to create us. We were perfect in His mind and then we made a transition to a human body on earth and things drastically changed. We got…”free will”. Free will to make our own choices in life. What a responsibility!!! I would have rather had God make all my decisions but Gods plan for us doesn’t work that way.

One decision can change a person’s life for better or for worse. Many people sitting in jail are probably thinking about that. Many married people may think about that. Drug addicts and alcoholics I’m sure have thought about that. Zillions of people after their death will think about the choices they made.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Every day we have to make choices like what to eat, where to go and what to say. As a Christian I need the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of me to help me make good choices but being the human I am and having a nature that involves my flesh… I know that I’m susceptible of making some bad choices. This is why I must obey this scripture verse… walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)

I myself am going to try to make better choices in every area of my life…like:

choice 2

In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.  Prov. 3:6

  1. Food
  2. Money
  3. Friends, family and acquaintances
  4. What comes out of my mouth
  5. My actions
  6. My time
  7. Prayer time, mediation and Bible studying

I can achieve this goal with the help of the Lord!!!

The choices we make can severely affect our lives… especially our spiritual and eternal life. We alone are responsible for the choices that we make.

Father God…I pray for everyone who reads this blog today that they will be more aware of the choices they make in life. Myself included. Thank you Lord for giving us the bible and Holy Spirit to help us make good choices. Thank you for gently leading us back to a better place when we’ve made choices that wasn’t good for us or others.

God… for those who have made a choice not to believe in you and your Son Jesus…I pray for their mind to consider their choice and be open to the good news that Holy Spirit conveys to their heart, mind and spirit. I ask all this in Jesus name…Amen.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Hungering for God

hungry 4 God

Psalm 63:1 A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

I think I have always been hungry for God. I feel it is part of my DNA. My earliest memory of God is at the age of about 4 years old in Sunday school. I feel like I’ve always known that God is real. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at 12 years old. But it wasn’t until I became a committed Christion nearly 30 years later that I craved God so bad that it caused me to pray for about 8 hours a day every day for about 10 years.

When I found out that I could really talk to God that much and He would interact like that with me….I wanted to talk to Him all day every day! The following scripture verse is the scripture that triggered off this great reaction in me: 1 Corinthians 2:10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God..…hungry 4 God 2

That scripture verse helped me realize that the Holy Spirit in me can reveal the deep things of God. So I was like “God…I want to know everything about you that you can tell me!” I tried to go as deep into God as a human being could go and still remain on earth. I told God I wasn’t afraid of Him showing me stuff and that I believed everything the bible said about Him. I tried to read everything in the bible that described His personality and attributes.

I just could not get enough of God and that caused me to pray longer and harder. Psalms 42:1 For the director of music. A maskil of the Sons of Korah. As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

My mother and mother in law thought I was a little crazy. My pastor’s wife told me that I prayed to hard. I was having lots of visions and unusual manifestations. I went to a local Christian book store and asked the clerk did she have a book on unusual manifestations of the Holy Spirit and she look at me like I was crazy. Another worker pulled me to the side and asked me what I was experiencing. She said she’d heard of it before and owned a collection of books from a woman who had similar experiences. She said she would send me a book from her collection and when I send it back she would send me the next one. After reading these books I knew I was on the right track and continued with my quest for more of God.

hungry 4 God 3

I crave you God!!  I’m so hungry for you!!

I’M NOT SPECIAL!!!!! God will reveal Himself to whomever wants to experience more of Him.   A very unusual thing happened to Christians on the day of Pentecost.  They were filled with the Holy Ghost! We have the third person of the trinity inside of us. Wow!! We are inhabited by the Holy Spirit!  We can interact with God all day every day!!!!! Do you realize the intimacy we have with God? We can know Him intimately!!! Personally!! God doesn’t and won’t MAKE us have this relationship…we must WANT to have it with Him. We must hunger after him if we want to know Him. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Have you ever had to fast for a blood test? When that test was over you were starving. Or what about how we intentionally fast before the Thanksgiving meal so that we can pig out. All that food before us and we can hardly wait for the blessing to be said so we can devour all that great food. Well that’s how I feel about God. I could just devour him!!!!!!! I dream of the day when I will no longer hunger for Him because I will be with Him!!!

How is your passion for God? Don’t just view Him as the man upstairs because you will not be able to see yourself with Him now. He must be the man in here (I’m pointing to my insides) in your “mind”. Our interaction with God is in our mind for the main connection and the Holy Spirit will fill us up for a full bodily experience. But again…we have to hunger for God. He is always paying to attention to us. We have to pay attention to Him.

hungry 4 God 1

Don’t wait until you get to heaven to have a close relationship with God…impress Him now with your hungering after Him! He will be so impressed that He will pour Himself out on you and you will experience Him. Some people’s excuse is that they are scared of the Holy Spirit. Some people have misrepresented the actions of the Holy Spirit…but God never makes anyone feel uncomfortable and He never makes a fool out of Himself. He’s too supernaturally intelligent for that.

So feel free to hunger for as much of God as you want!! Fill up! Psalms 107:9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Abortion

abortion January

Isaiah1:16-17 Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

In my deep prayer times with God I experienced the beginning of my life that began in Gods mind. God revealed how I began and how much He loves me. When I became a committed Christian God told me to love myself because He created me and that is when I became a person. I knew I had to love what He created which included me. He designed me to have the talents that are unique to me. He gave me my spirit and a special place in His heart and mind. He loved me so much before I even came to this earth. God said He doesn’t focus on my outward features although it’s a part of His design. My features are a result of my parents and any imperfections in my human body is a result of original sin.

The spirit within a human is very sick but sin sickness can be healed by receiving Gods Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Isaiah 53:5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Then throughout our life we must study the bible, pray and develop a spiritual life that is pleasing to God so that we can grow spiritually.  Then one day we will return back to the creator. Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

abortion baby sucking thumb

So when a baby is born his or her life was already developed or started from God. When babies die they go right back to God and their physical body goes into the ground. When a baby is aborted by natural or other causes that life is not lost. That baby is spiritually alive and living in heaven. 2 Samuel 12:23 But now that he is dead, why should I go on fasting? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”

People’s soul come from God’s heart and mind. People are perfect when they come from God because there is no sin or evil in God this is why God so loves the world (John 3:16).   The circumstances when that person crosses from heaven to earth to be born is drama from day one because of the original sin that had engulfed the earth when Adam and Eve sinned. No baby born is a mistake no matter what circumstance they are born under!!! They are people created by God and their life began when that egg and sperm met. That is their human beginning at that very second. There is no turning back… that life is real and alive!

Abortion best

When a baby is aborted by man’s hands…it’s like cutting off Gods plan for that life. That babies spirit was released from heaven and anyone stopping that life from living is overstepping God’s plan for that person. Psalm 127:3 Children are a gift from the LORD…..

I do crafts and floral designs. I create things. If I made one of my beautiful creations and gave it to someone and they destroyed it on purpose in front of me….. I would be shocked, crushed and devastated!!!

I don’t think God would be crushed and devastated because those emotions would not make sense for Him because of who He is but I believe He would NOT be pleased with mans disobedience because of this scripture: Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. (Cause the death of a living thing)

What is a life?

Psalms 14:13-15 13For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;…

Just because a baby is in the very early stages of life…”embryo” and “fetus” does not mean that it’s not living. The spirit of that fetus is fully formed and human already. My brother died when he was a baby and when I get to heaven and see him he will be able to talk to me because in heaven he is complete and no longer a baby.

abortion fetus

Babies can’t speak or care for themselves. They are completely helpless.  I tell you their spirit inside of them is fully intact and if they were not in a mortal body they could interact with us. So to cut out the life of an unborn baby for any reason is just not fair .  They deserve their chance to live just like we got our chance to live.

Since this goes against Gods plan for humans and against what the bible teaches… then we humans are in line for some big responses from God. In the bible there are many examples of God‘s response to sin such as the story of Lot and Noah. God don’t play!

People don’t want to talk about all the horrific things that have been happening all over the world because “God is a good God” and wouldn’t allow stuff like that to happen. But if you really understood about the Holiness of God…if you really knew God through reading His word and from praying… you to would know and understand that…” God don’t play and put up with immoral behavior”!!!

There are two words that I hear God saying to me…Repentance and humbling. These two words are so enormous for this worlds situation that I’m just blown away by the spiritually deep meaning of them.  Repentance and humbling are the keys to getting in a right place with God right now.

I believe many are speaking up for the tiny voices crying out from their mother’s womb. I believe people will no longer be silent about any sin. If it’s going against God word in His holy bible then it is sin. Right is right and wrong is wrong. This basic moral and spiritual concept still remains true and is unchanged no matter what society says. We are all paying a high cost for sin and can no longer be silent.

The bible says what is says!

Deuteronomy 30:16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

If a person doesn’t believe the most read book ever written and published, that has lasted thousands of years which is God’s instruction to humans then there is where the real problem lies.

abortion premature baby 2

There is nothing that this little blog can do…but I appeal to the humanity that is in every human being to really think about this.  4 of my 6 children were born prematurely and I tearfully watched as their little poorly formed bodies struggled just to breath and live… and live they did.  They wanted to live and every time I look at my adult children I’m so grateful that they are alive!!!  My heart breaks for all the many millions af babies that never got their chance…to live…..

Mass shootings and other disasters

mass shootings

My daughter works in Manhattan NY and during 9/11 our family was extremely concerned about her safety. She had to flee the city on foot like everyone else not knowing about potential dangers that might come her way. Information that the subways might be the terrorist next target was unnerving. My daughter had to go back to work eventually and I asked her how will she deal with the stress of more possible attacks. She said…” mom whatever is going to happen will happen and I have to go on living my life.”

Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

We cannot panic or stress out because of lifes potential dangers. We must live our lives without constant fear enveloping us. We who are Christians can achieve this because of our Father God and because of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. We need to keep our mind on the one who can do this in our lives and that is Jesus Christ. He is the only stress reliever I know of who can give us peace of mind, strength, hope and courage.   This is a big advantage in today’s world.

Philippians 4:6-7  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

What about all the killings? Its evil in the highest form and you can trace this evilness back to satan. Then more trouble came when Adam and Eve introduced sin to this world and that manifested evil to earth.

Another reason for the evilness is the condition of a killer’s heart and mind. They have been fully consumed by pure evil and care nothing except the devil’s evil agenda to the point of not caring about their own lives or family. IF satan HAS YOUR MIND…THEN HE HAS YOU!!!. This is why it’s so important to have your mind on the right thing. This is also why evil people look evil….their eyes reveal the darkness in their heart and soul.   Sin is disfiguring.

How did humanity get to this point?

  1. First we must refer back to the biblically predicted conditions of this world. 2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
  2. We must ponder the repercussion of the world’s rejection of the biblical laws of God.
  3. There has been a breakdown of morality in our society.
  4. Lack of evangelism and making disciples.
  5. Asking God for lots of things for now and not enough of praying for future generations. In other words lack of kingdom building.
  6. Lack of humility. Pride and arrogance also played a part too.

How do we deal with people who are evil based insane or just plain evil?

  1. The devil has already been defeated!!! He doesn’t win in the end he was defeated at the cross! His demise is a done deal!  Evil people are Gods to deal with and us to pray about.
  2. Since the battle is the Lord’s we must get under His instruction and plans as what to do about the evil that is plaguing us right now.  God has the way out and we should obey His word and follow His lead.
  3. We must repent. We must humble ourselves and submit to Gods authority.
  4. We must be obedient to the Lord.
  5. We need to Serve Him.
  6. We should praise and worship Him at all times even in the midst of trouble and danger.
  7. Study and know God’s word.
  8. We have to pray and intercede.
  9. We must love our neighbor.
  10. Christians have to be bold, wise and discerning following the lead of the Holy Spirit in evangelizing.

Ephesians 6: 10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Evil is always going to be here!!! God had a plan and that plan is filed under the name of Jesus Christ.   Jesus completed God’s plan. God had a plan for us and that is filed under obedience. We need to get with God’s plan. We need to know we are under the blood and we’re covered so we can go on out into the battle and be on the front lines without fear of what man can do to us. Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

mass shootings 6

On the word of God!!!

This is not a time to fear but a time of faith in God’s word no matter what. We need to encourage each other, pray together and study God’s word together and then get out in the highways and byways making disciples. The enemy is surely making his disciples!!!!!! That’s for sure!!!!

If we are not going to put God first in our lives…

If we are not going to live righteously…

If we are not going to study God’s word…

If we are not going to pray…

If we are not going to humble ourselves…..

If we are not going to submit to Jesus Christ then………………………………………….

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Fear not and have hope because…….

1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words. Remember that this is awaiting us after all is said and done! We will forever be with the Lord forever!

We can do this!!!

Hang in there!!!

How I Celebrate Christmas

christmas blog 2

I buy gifts, I bake cookies and I do celebrate Jesus birth in a traditional holiday way. Christmas time is a great celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior. I’ve learned to keep my precious Jesus in this holiday season. Christmas takes a while to come and then it’s over in one day. I try to make good use of the entire holiday season.

There are a few important things that I would like to share about celebrating Christmas.

  1. I use the Christmas season to allow God use me to minister to others. I spread the love of Jesus by giving a small gift or card to the many people that I’ve come into contact with this past year. Christmas is a big opportunity for evangelism!! I try to invite people into my home to show the love of Jesus. There’s no other holiday better than Christmas that we can use to bring that warm fuzzy feeling to touch a person’s heart. It will keep the reason for the season at the forefront. What better birthday present could we give to Jesus…souls!
  2. Another important thing about Christmas is that it’s a big reminder of God’s love for me. Jesus being born supernaturally for me and for you is the greatest show of love. It was the earthly beginning of God’s plan for my eternal soul.  Christmas is LOVE!
  3. The Last important thing about Christmas is what I do with it is up to me. I can spend Christmas with OVER THE TOP indulgence of food and gifts or I can spend it like the grateful adopted daughter of the most powerful being in the entire universe.  Moderation is key here.  I need to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit.

Remember to try not to act extra holy just at Christmas time and Resurrection day (Easter). Just keepin’ it real here. Our Christian walk should be an everyday all-day time consisting of worshiping and praising God, walking with God, studying about God and serving God. Psalms 34:1 …..I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

christmas blog 1

The Christmas story is in the bible but the Christmas holiday is not. We can still use this holiday to bring Glory to our God.

Father God…we thank you for the gift of your wonderful Son Jesus Christ. Thank you for loving us so much. Please help us to be creative, wise and discerning this Christmas season. Please send people in our direction and help us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirits leading. In Jesus name Amen.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Mark 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

What church do you attend?

church-is-people

We are the Church of Jesus Christ

Our answer should be…I am the church!  All of us body of believers are the church.

Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The meaning of the church in the Greek is the whole body of Christian believers. It could also mean the Christian community.

I believe the church is God’s children as a group… who do also assemble themselves to worship God.

In my heart and mind this is what the church of Jesus Christ looks like to me:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

We belong to Jesus Christ and He will come back and take us all….as a group! We are His bride…we are the church.

As His church we were all given instructions and we all have a job to do:church 3

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19″Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Ever since I became a committed Christian in 1984 over 30 years ago…all I have thought about is souls. I was so happy about what God did in my heart and how Jesus put me right with God. I was so happy to be rid of my original sin and for the first time in my life I felt clean inside. I was so happy to know that I was going to heaven that I wanted to shout it from the roof tops. But instead I have tried to talk about Jesus to whoever I meet and all of my family. I have cried buckets of tears for souls. I feel why should I just get my ticket to heaven, be happy about it and sit back and watch others be destined for hell. Everyday all day I try to figure out a way to share my faith…..I am the church after all this is my job!!!

I have attended and been a member of many places of worship. For me…at this point in my life…I realize that I am the church and I need to be about my Fathers business of making disciples. I’ve learned a lot from being in places of worship but things in this world have shifted and not in a good way. Every morning I listen to the news for a few moments and it’s always breaking news of some tragedy. Things are heating up and many are perishing in group disasters and accidents. My first thought is what about their souls!!!!  Were they ready to met their maker?

church 2

I have found a place to worship with fellow believers …but I need to be out there looking for souls. I need to be speaking up and standing up for truth. I am a soldier in Gods army…I am the church. Jesus is the head of the church and He has given me orders and I intend to carry them out. Psalms 40:8 I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”

I look around at this world and I use to think I wanted the money, fame and fortune. But over time I have come to my senses. At this age of 63 years old my focus has shifted to be all about Jesus. I still enjoy family, fun and I still laugh…but my main focus is God’s will for my life which God has expressly laid out in the bible. I am the church! Jesus has work for me to accomplish for Him and then He will come back for all of us…His church and He’ll take all of us home.

I need for my brothers and sisters in Christ to really think about who we really are. We are not a denomination…we may belong to one though. We are the church and we have been called out by Jesus Christ himself and have been told to separate ourselves from this world. We are told to go out and help save others. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. (Matthew 9:37) Why should we do this? Because if we’re not planting, sowing and reaping it could mean the eternal death of a person’s soul. But there is a way for them to escape this.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Eternal death is waiting for our loved ones, family, friends and strangers. This is why we must work hard in the vineyard while there is daylight.

Not even the gates of hell can stop us from snatching souls away from eternal damnation!! We the church can rescue people like we were rescued. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (Matthew 16:18)

Jesus has the fullness of God in Him and Jesus is the head over us the church. We have the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us and we are anointed to do the Lords work. Be active in your place of worship and be active out in the street, your home, your community and on your job. You’ve been activated for service when you accepted Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior. God has His will for your life and that is to be the church for His Son who sacrificed His life for us. He didn’t sacrifice His life for a denomination…He sacrificed His life personally for you….His bride…His church.

In the Old Testament God dwelled in a tabernacle which was built to hold presence and His glory. But after Jesus death and resurrection….we were given a gift of the Holy Spirit and when we became believers and were born again and the Holy Spirits now lives inside of us. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19)

church 4

We are unique…we are inhabited by the Holy Spirit of God! We are different. Our minds have been renewed and we have a united purpose as the church of God. To worship God, to put Him first and to make disciples. We are these unique humans beings called the church. A whole group of believers in Jesus Christ. When we start seeing ourselves as a whole group and not separate entities we will begin to work together to advance the kingdom of God down here on earth. United we stand divided we fall and divided we fail.

It hurts when I have left a church and never hear from most of the past parishioners again. Why? Are we not the body of Christ his church? Does it matter where we worship? Does it matter that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and I may have left your church but not Jesus Christ. Aren’t we all still part of the vine?

Until we see ourselves as the church we will always be divided as a body of Jesus followers. What does the world (unbelievers) see when they look at us? Do they see a united church?

I love all my brothers and sister in Christ!!!!!

Father God….Thank you for creating us and thank you for adopting us into your family. Help us to understand that we are a family and we all are your children. Forgive us for the squabbling. Please help us to get more of you in us and get your mind on things. Help your word do its work in us so that we will be more obedient to your will. Help those who need to humble themselves under your authority so that their lights might shine much brighter. I pray for unity in the body. God the church needs help, direction and revival. Lord help me do my part for forgive me for any attitude I might have hidden in my heart. God…help the church…please! In Jesus name…Amen.
