I’ve been thinking a lot about the choices in life we humans have to make. A choice that we all have to make at some point in our lives is… should we chose Verizon wireless, AT&T, Sprint or Metro PCS! LOL!
Eve and Adam made a choice that affected all of us!! Not in a good way either! Yeah… Eve made the choice first let’s list the blame in the right order.
The first choice we all ever made was to obey or disobey our parents. We were taught the difference between right and wrong. At an early age we learned that our actions had repercussions. Our next important choice was when we heard about God and Jesus and we chose whether we were going to follow that lead or go another way. Some people were raised in situations that guided them on a different path but ultimately we all come across the story of Jesus Christ and decide to go with that, another god or no god.
Proverbs 21:19 Many plans are in a man’s heart, But the counsel of the LORD will stand.
But there are many other choices in life we also have to make. As they say we only have one life to live and will we make good choices for ourselves or bad choices? Most humans make a combination of good and bad choices. God made a very good choice to create us. We were perfect in His mind and then we made a transition to a human body on earth and things drastically changed. We got…”free will”. Free will to make our own choices in life. What a responsibility!!! I would have rather had God make all my decisions but Gods plan for us doesn’t work that way.
One decision can change a person’s life for better or for worse. Many people sitting in jail are probably thinking about that. Many married people may think about that. Drug addicts and alcoholics I’m sure have thought about that. Zillions of people after their death will think about the choices they made.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
Every day we have to make choices like what to eat, where to go and what to say. As a Christian I need the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of me to help me make good choices but being the human I am and having a nature that involves my flesh… I know that I’m susceptible of making some bad choices. This is why I must obey this scripture verse… walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)
I myself am going to try to make better choices in every area of my life…like:

In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Prov. 3:6
- Food
- Money
- Friends, family and acquaintances
- What comes out of my mouth
- My actions
- My time
- Prayer time, mediation and Bible studying
I can achieve this goal with the help of the Lord!!!
The choices we make can severely affect our lives… especially our spiritual and eternal life. We alone are responsible for the choices that we make.
Father God…I pray for everyone who reads this blog today that they will be more aware of the choices they make in life. Myself included. Thank you Lord for giving us the bible and Holy Spirit to help us make good choices. Thank you for gently leading us back to a better place when we’ve made choices that wasn’t good for us or others.
God… for those who have made a choice not to believe in you and your Son Jesus…I pray for their mind to consider their choice and be open to the good news that Holy Spirit conveys to their heart, mind and spirit. I ask all this in Jesus name…Amen.
John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Yes and Amen
Choice either comes with rewards or consequences.
There is my way which is NT so good. There is the hi-way which again is not so good. The there is the Lord’s way the straight path with the Holy Spirit as a light for my feet and Jesus to help me on the way. Really only one choice when I see with the eyes to see that only He can give.
Praise to the Glory of God
Have a wonderful trip.

Well done, Tanya! With choice and free will come responsibility. It’s too easy to claim, If it’s legal, it’s okay. We all know God’s Law is far superior to man’s law!!
