Mentally Making it Through This Pandemic

We all know many scriptures about finding help in a time of need…. but we still can feel stressed.  This is how many people feel right now.  Before this pandemic started, people were already going through a lot of stressful situations.  We’ve had financial crisis, mass killings, tornados, hurricanes, fires, and many other crisis situations that have affected us all. 

Now a world crisis of mass sickness is here.  It’s all that the news seems to be covering these days.  We can’t even socialize with each other anymore.  This is a very lonely and seemingly hopeless situation that all of humanity is in.  What we are all facing right now is very concerning and it will take some work to keep our own mental health in check.

Let’s take some advice from David:

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.   1 Samuel 30:6

At this point we must encourage ourselves in the Lord because there ain’t nobody else around!  Not friends, family, neighbors, your pastor or church members.

 So, the best thing we can do is to know what the bible says about this:

Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 42:11Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Next we must pray and here is a scripture about that:

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

We need to give that bad boy (problems & stress) over to the Lord! Now that you are home alone or just with your family…. have some long conversations with God.  Tell Him everything about how you feel.  Not a formal type of prayer, but just talk to Him like a friend, like your Father, like someone who really cares about your welfare….because HE DOES CARE!!! God is the only one who can help, so it is essential for us to tell Him about our troubles and ask him to help us in our time of need.

Also if you are afraid, stressed, depressed, feeling down…share that with Him. It’s ok to be honest with God your Father. He won’t judge you!!!

I was healed miraculously from life long depression and suicidal attempts in 1983.  The thing I remember about the whole ordeal was that I HAD NO HOPE!  I was hopeless!  It was like being in a dark deep pit.  It is a lie and a scheme from the enemy to pull us away from this life.  He is tricky and sly in how he attempts to bring us down.  He tries to use this tactic on every single human being.  He uses fear and intimidation to try to scare us. He is using this method with this pandemic. The devil is trying to act like the boogieman!

DON’T FALL FOR HIS MESS!!!!!!!  He will and has used this pandemic to do this!  Don’t let him have this kind of power over your thoughts.  Please do this: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. He ain’t got that kinda’ power over you!!!!!!

My advice: You know yourself.   You know what brings you down.  You need to know what brings you up also!!!

This is what I do to keep my head above water:

  1. Prayer and bible study.
  2. Worship God by praising Him.
  3. Listening to sermons and teachings online.
  4. I ask for prayer from godly friends when I need to.
  5. I look out the window or go outside and look up at the sky and ponder about God.
  6. I try to do something for someone else, to encourage and bring cheer to them. (Text and phone now please)
  7. Think good thoughts: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
  8. I listen to music and I sing my heart out.
  9. Watch or listen to comedy.
  10. Watch “Little House on the Prairie!!!” Lol! (Still on TV!)
  11. Go for a walk (local…like your back yard)
  12. Shop on line ( Hey…you’re getting a stimulus check LOL!)

GOD TELLS US TO DO THIS:

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

When you have done all you can do…. When the doctors are powerless to cure you…. When your finances are depleted……When there’s nobody around and you’re alone….. when your problems are huge and lasting a long time…. STAND!!! 

You have on all your armor….and you’ve done what the bible says to do…. STAND!!! 

I’m not saying this will be easy but I’m here to tell you that you can do this!  You got this because GOD’S GOT YOU!!!!!

While I was praying today I heard the word “HOSANNA” then I heard the Holy Spirit say to me “The King is coming!”

The meaning of hosanna is….“Please Lord, please save us. Please, Lord, please give us success” Psalms 118:25

I have had many visions over the years since I became a committed Christian in 1984.  One vision that I have had over the years was me standing in front of a church as a bride.  In the very first vision my dress was just a plain white robe.  But over the years as I continued to have this vision, the robe became a bridal gown. Each time I have the vision the dress becomes more ornate.  I just had this vision again today and the dress is made up of diamonds embedded all over the bridal gown.  Each time I have the vision I’ve gotten further into the church.  At this point I’m getting ready to walk down the aisle and Jesus is waiting in front at the altar.  I can’t see Him I just know He’s there.

I am fascinated with the story of Cinderella.  I’m looking for my prince (King Jesus) to take me away on His white horse.  I can’t wait to see my God face to face.  I want to know that when I get to heaven, that all of my private prayer times with God will be still special and He will know me intimately… considering all the zillions of His other children there also?  He said yes and it will be a unique experience.  He said that each one of His children will know they are special to Him.  Each person will feel like Jesus is their prince charming and knight in shining armor.  Each person will feel like they are God’s very own special child individually.  We are the apple of His eye and we will all feel that because God is supernatural that way.

All that any human being has ever wanted is to be loved.  It’s a natural instinct to want to be loved by someone.  Our first love experience should be one’s parents, then sisters and brothers and family.  Then eventually a husband or wife and kids.  After our earthly experience we will all be able to experience all the love we were destined to have.  A love that only a supernatural being like God our Holy Father will be able to satisfy in us.

We have God’s love right now, but it is limited for us to experience fully because of our mortal bodies.  That’s why we keep craving love from God and others.  One day…we will have that love completely satisfied in our soul!  That will happen either when the trumpet blows and we go up to heaven if we are alive or right after we transition from this earth after death.

So again…I heard the Holy Spirit say to me Hosanna…..the King is coming!

Our Knight in shining armor is coming for us very soon!  The bridegroom cometh soon.  Be ready!

I really don’t want to keep watch on illness right now…I need to and want to watch for the one who my heart beats for…my bridegroom!!!!  Jesus!

Matthew 25:13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

The Holy Spirit will help us!

  1. Prayer
  2. Relying on God’s word
  3. Being filled with the Holy Spirit
  4. Confidence in the assurance of your eternal security (It is well with your soul)

For the purpose of this blog today I would like to concentrate on being filled with the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist was faced with being decapitated.  He also preached a very strong message about sin and repentance, in which I know upset some people.

Luke 1:15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.

Stephen was a man in the bible who was being terrorize by a gang of men called the Sanhedrin’s who he was trying to tell truth to about the kingdom of God. In the midst of being threatened with sure death he was able to deal with it and even asked God to forgive these awful men who were going to murder him.

Acts 7:55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

The first church went through great danger and persecution because of them being Christ followers.

Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Jesus Christ Himself was about to be starved and tempted for 40 and nights to the point of extreme weakness hunger and thirst.

Luke 4:1,2 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.…

There is a clear pattern here.  Great trials lead to reliance on help and strength from the Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!  There is NO getting around this.  So, we all have a lot of time on our hands.  Let’s do some bible study on the Holy Spirit.  Find out EVERYTHING the bible reveals about who He is and what He can do in the believers life.  With His help and strength, we will be able to bare up under this present and concerning trial that we are ALL going through.

We all need prayer; we all need help, all at the same time.  I don’t think since the days of Noah has there been a trial that has endangered every single person on earth.  But I know two things for sure…. God will help us by the power of the Holy Spirit and this trial will end!  Not only is there light at the end of the tunnel…the tunnel is illuminated by the Son of God Himself.  Jesus is the light that is going to see us through!  Can I get an AMEN?

When the Pandemic is Over

There will be three things that will happen after this. 

1.The sinful will continue to do what they do. 

2. Those who were on the fence about Jesus will be waiting for the light and saltiness from the Christians to point them to the Savior. 

3. Many of the Christians will deepen their walk with the Lord. This is because they have experienced God bringing them through this time of suffering.

Let this be a time of reconciliation and restoration of your soul.

Never let Go of your hope!  Jesus is the reason for your hope!

Hang in there folks!  All will be well again!

Our faith and hope in God, our health, our family, and our job. Food, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer and cleaning products. The outdoors. The medical profession. Supermarket workers. We will not take for granted our daily blessings of God!

2019-2020 has been some of the most challenging times of my life.  To add to the multiple trials that I’m going through right now, here comes a new concern, a virus which has caused the shutdown of normal daily life activities for millions of people.  I’m human and I do have my limits on how much stress I can take, and God knows that too.  God has been sending me so much help throughout my situations.  One thing He has really emphasized to me is that I should PUT MY TRUST IN HIM no matter what!!!

Please read the words of the following 1960’s song by Bill Gaither which was written when he was very sick and had other problems going on in his life.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives

This is a very intimate time with our Father God because we so need to feel His presence.  We need to say this to Jesus, “Precious Lord take my hand.”  The creator will not abandon His children.  He is a good Father. I personally will keep focused on all the good that I have ever learned about my God.  I will keep focused on the promises of God from His Holy Word.  I will meditate on all the many past trials He has bought me through. I will pray and study my bible.  I also need to listen to my favorite gospel music.  Music is a gift from God.  Praise God in the fire and He will surely help you in the flood!

May the LORD cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace.’ Numbers 6:24,25  (In Jesus name…amen)

The Bible Is God’s Words to Help You Through Anything You May Go Through And For EVERY Situation!!

 2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

Never in the history of this country and the world has things been so contaminated and extremely dangerous to the point that places on a large scale need to be shut down globally.  So much is going on in this world with no cures…no treatments…no weather and globing warming changing abilities…no way to stop people from shooting others and so on.

People can’t even go to their places of worship today.  What will happening with evangelism, which is so important right now?  The only way to accomplish this now is to do it through social media…but does everyone have access to a computer?

From all appearances it looks like things in the world are out of control…but I can guarantee you that things are right on schedule with Gods very own predictions from the bible about what will happen in the last days. 

Now what do we do?

  1. This is a time for personal faith refection.  What is your relationship like with your maker/creator?  Plenty of time to read, study and examine all materials to see what God is saying or if God is even real for some people.  Time to study and pray more so you can get in a better or good place with the creator.
  2. Call up friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances and make sure they have an opportunity to hear something spiritual from you in case they have inquiries about your faith.
  3. Pray to God for mercy and follow the Holy Spirit’s lead on what you should even be praying now.  The Holy Spirit knows what to pray much better than you.
  4. Lean not on your own understanding of present circumstances and events.
  5. Don’t look around for supernatural signs or prophetic messages.  The bible has all the info you need for all times and seasons.
  6. Fear not!  A command from God Himself.
  7. Worship God like you never have before.  This will bring you so much peace and you need that right now.
  8. Encourage each other in the Lord.   Use a phone or text.
  9. Cry out to God He WILL hear you, help you and comfort you!
  10. Pray in Jesus name.  Be of good courage, wait and be still.  Trust God!

Mathew 24:3-8 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Psalms 23:4   Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Matthew 24:36,44 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,  but the Father only.  Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

The earth…like a woman in labor may be at this point… fully dilated.  Don’t get ready but be ready! Get right with the Lord…. not much time left!  Jesus is coming very soon!

Louis James Lipton

Did Mr. Lipton make the right choice for his soul? Where is he today?

Louis James Lipton died yesterday.  He was a famous American writer, lyricist, actor, and dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City.  He made the following remark about his life that grieved me:

Tom Cruise asked James Lipton – “If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

(James Lipton) answered – “You see Jim, you were wrong, I exist, but you may come in anyway”

Hebrew 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

There is no second chance after you die.  Nobody gets a free pass without the blood of Jesus covering them.

Tornados last night, coronavirus knocking at our doors, more mass killings last week….this ain’t no joke!  If your soul is right with God, you will be good regardless of what goes on.  But if you are not right with God, you are in big trouble eternally.  Please share the good news of Jesus Christ with your family, friends and strangers….DO IT NOW!  Time is not on anyone’s side these days!

The Purpose of Trials

Psalms 91:1-2 ,5,14 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” …  5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. NIV

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. KJV

“To be brought to a place where God is our only real hope is a merciful experience.” Jon Bloom co-founder of Desiring God.

I believe Mr. Bloom is saying that when we are allowed to experience very difficult trials that are so trying, that only God can help us get through them, this humbling of our spirit man will allow us to see God’s compassion and mercy towards us.  I should be so honored to be allowed to see God’s Enduring love and care towards me.  If I didn’t go through any trials, I could never be a witness to God’s mercifulness.  I would have nothing to testify about God’s goodness that could help someone else going through suffering also.

When I read this quote from Mr. Bloom, it really puts trials into perspective for me. Being in a very vulnerable physical or emotional state will surely teach us to put our hope and trust in our Abba Father.

I am truly so very grateful for all the trials in my life.  I’ve had trials that doctors, lawyers, mother, Father, sister, brother, friend or family member could not fix for me.  My trials had no solution that any human being could help me with.  Only God could solve my problems!  Looking back, the Lord has ALWAYS seen me through!!!

To have such difficult circumstances in my life, is a very humbling experience.  It makes a person one hundred percent dependent on God Father for help. As long as the heavy trials keep coming, I will be in a constant place of seeking God.  I cannot possible think that I am all that and a bag of chips!!!   My dependence on God teaches me that.  Trials make you know your place in God’s kingdom.  I need God, period!  Everything about my life depends on Father God.  My hope is in Him alone!

It’s so easy to think more highly of yourself when you are in ministry and people say that they are so blessed by what you do and what you say.  The glory belongs to God and suffering has a way of keeping it that way in your heart and mind.

Trials enables us to experience the highest level of God’s grace and mercy!  You may not see it as much during the trial as when you look back over your life and see just how God can to your rescue.  You will get a clear picture of how God hovered over you, hung around you and pulled you right through your trial to safety. This realization brings tears to my eyes every time I reflect on God’s mercy on my behalf as I reflect on my past difficult circumstances.

I must be honest here; I really don’t like hard trials at all! But God’s word tells me that I shouldn’t be shaken by sudden trials and to count it all joy when they do occur in my life.  In fact, God clearly explains their purpose which is for my perfection.  It’s really alright not to like and understand our hard trials. But hopeful I will come to terms with the fact that they will bring me to a new level in my walk with the Lord.  This will help me to trust God through other test, trials and suffering that I will experience in the future.  I will be able to experience God’s power and ability to bring me through my trying situations.  I will have miracles and blessing to look back on that will give me strength going forward in my life.  It will also be a testimony to others who hear about the goodness of God and His mercies in my life.

God has given me everything I need to make it through my hard trials.  It’s an honor to be trusted with this sacred time in my life where God is so close to my sometimes-broken hearted heart.  God is my knight in shining armor and my hope when I’m facing difficultly.  Knowledge of His word is the highest level of my daily strength.

Some think God wouldn’t allow great suffering to come to His children. There are many examples in the bible of great people who suffered tremendously.  I look at Jesus and also John the Baptist, who other than Jesus was the greatest man who ever lived and went through extreme sacrifices and suffering for the kingdom of God. So did the 12 disciples, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Job.  These men put all their hope and trust in God.  I know that right now they are enjoying all the treasures they had built up in heaven.  They were perfected by what they experienced on earth so that their rewards in heaven would be tremendous. 

This is God’s world and God’s way!!!  If the Lord has a purpose for our suffering in which He said He will reward us for enduring it, then it would benefit us to put all our hope, trust and faith in Him.  Also, one day we’ll be able to see clearly what these trials were for and what they accomplished in our lives.  Trials benefits us in this life and in our heavenly life!  We surely need to have the right perspective on suffering.

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.  He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.  On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.  Psalms 62:5-7

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 17:7-8  “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Sometimes we look out over our trials and it’s surreal. But God is real and offers help in our times of need. Pray in Jesus name and TRUST GOD!!!!

A Serious Message 2020

For the past few years I have noticed a sharp change in every area of mankind’s life and a severe change on our planet earth.  I’ve written many blogs over the years on what I’ve noticed.  I wrote a blog in 2011 on what is happening in this world spiritually which is predicted by God Himself in the bible. This is the main scripture for what’s going on:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2). People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3). without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4). treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5). having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

In the past few months I‘ve heard of some of the most heinous acts done that have been done to another human being.  I just can’t wrap my mind around it and I can’t even mention these things in this blog.  I’ve heard of these acts in remoted countries, but not here in the USA until now.  Hatred is at an all-time high.  Children are out of control with drugs taking over in their lives.  Child suicide is rampant.  Children as young as 7 years old are committing this.  Suicide is a very popular now in our society.

Financially things are a tremendous strain for many people as the middle class has dwindled away and the cost of living has skyrocketed.  Foreclosures and layoffs have affected millions of people. 

There are many medical situations such as cancer, flesh eating bacteria, HIV, drug resistant germs, Ebola’s return, many viruses and the worst flu epidemics.  Hospital ER’s, doctors’ offices and pharmacies are overrun with patients.

Mass shootings and killings are a COMMON occurrence.  Terrorist, robbers, sex traffickers psychotic attackers and rapist are lurking around making everyone feel unsafe. Nobodies personal information is safe anymore because of hackers.

The planet is also experiencing apocalyptic events.  Earthquakes, tsunami’s, tornados, hurricanes, volcano’s, droughts, fires, ice melts, global warming and unusual weather patterns.

Psychosis, depression, anxiety, and self-harming is at an all-time high.

Many religious leaders have had major moral failures. Church attendance is down.  Pastors are leaving the ministry and places of worship are closing their doors.

There is a pattern here and something is defiantly going on in our world today.

The cause, effect and explanation of this all is clearly spelled out in the bible, so I don’t need to get into that in this blog because God has spelled it out clearly in the bible. I do have something to say about this all though.

This is the time to:

  1. Make sure you have a close relationship with the Lord.  If you have NEVER asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior…do so genuinely and immediately!!! Nobody is guaranteed one more second of their life on this earth.  You see, these days people are dying very unexpectedly and very quickly, at any age.
  2. Obey God!!!! God has said in the bible exactly what He wants you to do.  Currently for all humanity, this is even more important.  I believe there may not be any more huge revivals like back in the day.  I believe that those who are Christians will have to be in personal individual revival mode which could lead to a group/church revival.  Christians need to let their lights shine!  Christians will have to be living examples of their faith and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people they come in contact with, daily.  This is not a suggestion.  God says to do this in the bible.  This is the season to stand up for what you believe, promote the kingdom of God and be bold for your faith in Jesus Christ.
  3. You need to develop a prayer life if you don’t have one.  You need to pray all the time!!! Pray all day and night and under every circumstance for every situation!!!  Do you realize that nobody can really help you but GOD!  Doctors, lawyers, your mama and your daddy are LIMITED!  God is UNLIMITED in His ability to help you!  This is a fact!

That’s it.  You and God!  This is what I need to tell you today.  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is what you need in 2020 and up until the day you die.  What we thought was important years ago is not the same today.  What is important now is survival!!  Our health and safety are very important.  Keeping a job and having a place to live is high priority.   The highest priority is SERVING THE LORD!!!

Individually, we need to really focus on God. We Need to thank Jesus for what He did for us and serve Him!  God said in His word that we won’t the day that Jesus will return but we will be able to tell get an inkling because God gave us the warning signs to look for.  These warning signs are now appearing everywhere and is evident to all.

Now I’m not saying to all this so you can be scared out your wits.  I’m also not saying, let’s not have any fun or good times because life is collapsing around us.  I’m saying for our own sakes…let’s be wise, watchful, prayerful, obedient, evangelistic. Respect the times we are living in. We also must realize that it’s not only about saving lost souls, but it’s also about us gaining heavenly rewards. When we individually stand before our Great and Almighty God, we don’t want to be ashamed because we did nothing to build His kingdom.  We don’t want to be embarrassed because we told no one of God’s goodness and His love for His creations. 

This is it folks…. we are truly in the end times.  It’s very evident now.  What are you going to do about it?  How is this all affecting you?  Have you tried to reach out to God to be closer to Him or has this made you angry with Him?  It’s ok to be mad at Him because of all the suffering that’s going on but know that He owes no one any explanation for anything He does.  Know that He still is the only help and answer for every human being.  This is His world and His wayWe have to get with His program…. period!

I personally am going through a lot right now.  I’ll share just one of those things with you.  I’ve got health issues and I never know how I will feel throughout the day.  No cure.  I have to be VERY careful about what I eat and the energy I use.  I must be careful about germs because if I get sick weakens me for many weeks.  I also suffer with other health issues and have had major surgeries and have battled cancer.  What has God done for me through this?  He has been there!  I raised 6 kids with these heath issues.  God helped me incredibly!!!  I continued to do ministry throughout too.  It was very hard but God was there.  God is with me now…holding my hand, comforting me and covering me with His wings.  I sing precious Lord and His eye is on the sparrow to myself a lot.  I KNOW the goodness of the Lord in this life and I will know it in a very special way when it’s my turn to go to heaven. When I get there, I know that I will be able to rest from all the pain and suffering I’ve been to.  It will all be worth it!

But in the meantime, I will work for my Father God until my last breath.  I will say…I was born…I lived, and I died!  I want my “I lived” to be all that God had intended for me to do for Him.  There is no other way I can show my appreciation for all He’s don’t for me.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Mathew 24:3-8 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

I believe we are reaching the pert of the labor process that says “PUSH”.  This baby is almost ready to be born.  Jesus Christ return!!  The kingdom of God is near…. all hands-on deck!  Onward Christian soldiers…forward…march!

Acts 7:59-60 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

The story of Stephen in the book of Acts is a horrifying true story of a wonderful dedicated man who was filled with grace and the Holy Spirit of God.  He was martyred for His faith in the true word of God.  Stephen was in the worst situation a person can face and that is imminent death.  This man with his last breaths of life prayed and called on the name of Jesus.  He prayed for himself…for God to receive him and he prayed for others and then died.  He prayed to the very end of his life.

In any situation we face in life our first thought should…
