Revelation 2:11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 3:11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

I am no great theological genius….far from it in fact….But I do have a pair of ears. God has been speaking to the Church…to us in His word. His word may have been written a long…

Your troubles ain’t nothin’! …Really!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY TROUBLES AIN’T REALLY NOTHIN”? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND???

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

This morning as I read these two scripture verses…my heart was so overjoyed.  I thought to myself…God considers these extremely difficult things we go through…light compared to the eternal glory that waits for me in heaven?  You mean…heaven is so awesome that this will seem light in comparison?  Yah- hoo- weee!!!  Thank you Jesus!!  Glory to God!

I believe I CAN endure this life!!  I want to!!!  If this life… as hard as it is… can’t even be compared to what awaits me….I’m going to take advantage of everything that God has given me to use…

Mary said:

Ester 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in
Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and
my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even
though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Joshua said:

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to
you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods
your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in
whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the
LORD.”

Ruth said:

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you

Why I need to worship God

worship blog

Psalms 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship,  let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;

Worshipping God is for me.  It keeps me knowing that God is taking care of me.  God doesn’t need my worship…I need to worship you God for my sake.  Worship keeps my mind in the right place which is in you.  You God are the I Am and you are securing in who you are.  You don’t need anything from anybody.

I need to worship you more than I can understand.  Worship is a very important part of who I am as your child.  I need to really get into honest and truthful worship from my heart and soul.  I need to develop in me pure worship from my sanctified spirit if I am to grow and mature as your child.

I must make worship a priority in my life!

I must also remember…

Are we really in the last days?

the last days best

2 Timothy 3:1-5  1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

1Timothy 1:1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Jude 1:18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”

Did Jesus have sibling rivalry?

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Mathew 13:55-56 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”

Jesus had brothers and sisters….and not brothers and sisters in the Lord….Well then again…maybe they were. These were His REAL brothers and sister from Mary and Joseph… whom I guess Joseph was Jesus step father. Now I’m confusing myself LOL!
If I was Jesus sibling I probably would be talking behind His back. It would sound like this:

Man…Jesus gets all the praise all the time. Everybody in the whole neighborhood is always bragging about Him. He is so smart and knows all this stuff about God… who they say is His real Father. How did God get to be His Father and not ours? I mean our papa Joe is really…

Knowing God

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

I’m living my very last days of my 50’s as I’ll be 60 years old on July 27, 2012. As I was meditating on my life this week and thanking God for all He’s done for me…I realized that …..I KNOW GOD!! I KNOW WHO He is, where He is, what He’s done for me through His Son Jesus. I know what He expects of me, I know how much HE loves me. I know how He thinks and operates. I know how to go about questioning Him….I know if He’s angry. I hear when He calls me and I trust when He’s silent. I really know Him. We’ve had a lot of years together now.

Do I know Him 100%? No way! Knowing God has also let me be not as fearful about my life. I know He’ll be there for me…even if I don’t feel Him doing stuff…

Hope in the Lord

Some very good thoughts by my blog friend Tricia. Hope in Jesus!

triciajots4jesus's avatarTricia's Journal Jots Blog

(Picture from Pintrest)

“I try to take one day at a time, but lately several days have attacked me at once,” so the poster said. I laughed because on some days it does seem like life is like that. On those days, maybe I could take some tips from the Psalms:

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God…!
Psalm 62:1, 5 “I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.”
Psalm 100:3 “Acknowledge that the Lord is God…!”
Psalm 131:2 “I will calm and quiet myself like a weaned child with its mother.”

And I could remember Isaiah 40:31 “Those who wait on the Lord renew their strength….”
Oh, may I remember to put these verses into practice next time I feel overwhelmed!

I’m Covered With Blood… But I’m Safe

Another reblog

Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

It’s not even close to Easter and I’m thinking about the blood of Jesus.

I am covered with blood…Jesus blood… and I’m safe in His arms forever…because of this blood! Thank you Jesus!

We have communion in our church once a month to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us but there is so much more in reflecting on the blood of Jesus Christ.

It’s said that the word blood appears in the bible occurs 447 times in 375 verses in the KJV.

Understanding about the blood of Jesus goes all the way back to trying to understanding who God is. God required a sacrifice after Adam and Eve committed the first sin. An animal was sacrificed by God for them. ( Genesis 3:21) This is what God required…it’s His way….it…

The Holy Spirit is so incredible to me

I wrote this a while ago. 2012. I will be reblogging some of my older post.

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

I want to blog today about the Holy Spirit again because He is so important to our daily lives. He’s so important that Jesus told His disciples not to go to Jerusalem to start spreading the gospel…but to wait for the Holy Spirit.  They needed His knowledge, wisdom and power…and so do we.

Acts 1:4,5 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Donot leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

We are disciples of Jesus Christ and we are supposed to make more disciples.  How can we do this in a dynamic and powerful way without the full power of the Holy Spirit?  How can we have more power in our personal…
