Los Angeles Fires…Why?

Watching the news about the fires, I kept hearing those that saw this with there own eyes use the word “apocalyptic”. In the recent Louisiana killings people said, “it looked like it was out of a movie”. The recent crisis’s are getting so horrific that people are at a loss of words.

I know I have written a lot about these types of things in my blogs over the years. I do it to try to bring some hope and prayers to help people process this all. The main direction I go in is spiritual because that is where I look for and get comfort.

I won’t make you read the whole blog to get the answer to why. Looking across every disaster that has ever been recorded about in history no one has ever been able to give anyone a clear answer to that question. So, I can’t give one either. Whether one believes in the bible or not, it is a historical book and gives clear answers about what is to become of this world. I am going to share some of those scriptures in this blog today. While “why” cannot be answered to bring some kind of closure, there are a few things we can do. While we can surely pray for help and know God will work things out, we can also provide support for those who need us. I’ve seen the BEST of humanity in these situations!!!!

Hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, floods, fires, mass killings, accidents and so on. At this point many are asking the question “what is going on?” After 9/11 many people flocked to their house of worship to find out what in the world is happening and is this the end. After the initial shock wore off things went back normal and stopped seeking answers as to why this happened. Since that time the list of disasters is so long that it’s surreal. People are still asking why.

You might be a follower of one of the 4,000 plus religions around the world or you might not follow any religion. I can only speak to you in light of my own religion, Christianity. There is a prediction in the New Testament of the Holy Bible that explains what is to come on this earth:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2). People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3). without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4). treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5). having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Mathew 24:3-8 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us, “They said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

We are truly in the end times of this present season of God’s plan for humanity. The bible says that Christians will be removed from the earth and the antichrist will have his way with humans for 7 years and cause great distress on humanity. But before he’s revealed there will be signs that the end is near. We are in that time now!!! Everyone sees the signs and is reacting in shock and fear. What does this mean for you? It all depends. For me a Christian, it means that I need not live in FEAR. Tragedy can happen to me, and I surely have experienced suffering, but Jesus Christ has made me promises in the bible.

This scripture can save your life: Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

This scripture can give you hope: Deuteronomy 31:6Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

This scripture can bring you help: 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

There may come a time that things might be so horrifying for you that it may seem like death is a breath away. We must not live in fear of bad things happening to us or our family. It’s unhealthy and stressful to live that way. Jesus is the good shepherd, and He will be a comfort to us in these difficult times. Even in my most extremely painful times I’ve gotten incredible strength from the Lord. He is truly a comforter! We are not going to understand or get all the answers as to why suffering came into our lives, but I can tell you that incredible strength is possible with the help of the Lord. I would like to pray for all those who are going through the extremes of life:

“Father God, there are a great many people who are going through some of the worse trials that a person can go through. Some have lost homes, loved ones, jobs even their whole community. Some are suffering from devastating illnesses. Lord some are experiencing great fear and anxiety.

I am asking you to please help those who are looking up into the sky with their hands up and those who are on their knees crying out to you for comfort…. please help them!!! Father God, we thank you in advance for all the help you will bring their way.

Surround them with people who really care about helping others like our former president Carter who died last week and helped so many people in need. Lord…people need love and compassion right now. I’m so glad that we can come to you in prayer. I ask these things in Jesus’ name…Amen.”

1 Peter 4 12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Hang in there!!!!!!!!

Let’s pray!

It is happening!!!! What is happening you ask? Well, ever since I started my blog in 2011, I have given many messages pertaining to what is happening in the world. I was in intercessory prayer one day at home in 2008 and I got a word of knowledge that things on earth would be changing. That was 16 years ago. This is the link to that message: Message given to me by the Lord in 2008…Put your spiritual ears on | God Speaks I Listen (godspeaks-i-listen.com)

It is now 2024 and I have nothing new to say about what is happening because “it is happening!!!” I have been pregnant 5 times. Each time the same thing happened. I really enjoyed every single thing about being pregnant. But as soon as that very first pain hit…all fun was over. Now it was the business of labor. That first pain hurt so bad; I was like…what in the world? And the pains just kept getting worse!!! Then it became excruciating!!!

After another hour or so I became a little hysterical dealing with that amount of pain. With my last child it was so bad that I busted the blood vessels in the whites of both of my eyes. I looked crazy and scary! Labor is NO JOKE, and neither is this world right now. This world is in active labor and is completely dilated!! That means the baby is ready to be born! Yesterday’s hurricane was so catastrophic that I couldn’t believe the images I was seeing. I though it was one of those disaster movies I’ve seen on TV!

The wars and rumors of wars is getting more intense by the day. In fact, everything is more intense now. Between my health issues, dangers lurking everywhere and world events, I know that I can, and you can leave this earth at any time. So, what do we do now? I live everyday like it’s my last:

1. I wake up acknowledging God. I worship Him and ask Him for another opportunity to tell someone before my day is over about the good news of Jesus.

2. I try to find someone to bless in some way. I have a spam ministry now. I preach to those who call my house or cell phone until they hang up on me. This happens almost every day sometimes a few times a day. Yea, God sends the people now right to me!!!

3. I search my heart every day to make sure there is no bitterness or unforgiveness sneaking in there. With so many past hurts I must be very careful.

4. Of course the main thing is prayer and bible study. The older I get the hungrier I am getting for the bible. Being a senior citizen requires a lot of wisdom and prayer!!! I’ve learned in my old age not to wait for a problem to arise but STAY prayed up. In other words, develop and sustain a close relationship with Father God.

Humanity doesn’t have much time left in this church age! Jesus is about to return for His bride the Church any day! He said in His word, “If you love me, keep my commands.John 14:15 This is NOT a suggestion!

I’ve had a vision: A vision of people running around holding their heads and saying, “what do we do?” Many people were to overwhelm with life’s troubles to even ask this at this time. They seemed very confused. But there were others who were partying hardy and doing what pleases them.

This is it people! Our world is the new normal and it WILL keep getting new and I don’t mean that in a good way. Get your house in order! I wrote a book on the holiness of God and basically nobody has bought that book and read it. If you want to know about the God we serve and what He demands of us and who He is…then this is the time to read my easy-to-understand book of the nature of God. It wasn’t an easy book to write or process. We serve a powerful God who is nobody to mess with. As I always say “God Don’t Play!”.

All of our lives are being threaten by illness, violence, calamity or natural disaster. Get your bible out…dust it off…be prepared for our world right now! For those who think the bible is not relevant, everything that is happening now has been predicted in the bible. The evidence is that those things mentioned in the bible is now happening at a escalated rate!

For me, I’m doing everything to work for the Lord by blogging, making videos, writing books etc. Some people think I’m obsessed with God and you know what…I am! But I’m also obsessed with humanity. I want people to see that these things that are barrowing down on us at an accelerated rate are not by accident, but have been predicted by God Himself in the bible. And most importantly there is emotional and spiritual safety when you are in His family. We need not live in fear because we live with HOPE! Our soul and mind is intact because God said He will NEVER leave us! God sealed this by giving us the Holy Spirit to live IN us when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior!!!

When you know a storm is approaching you don’t sit there and say “oh no!!!” You do everything to prepare and thank goodness the media tries to alert everyone. Well, I’m doing the same by telling everyone to prepare and alert your friends and neighbors!

This is it people…what I have warned about is HERE! Every last person on earth has been involved! Remember Covid?

This is serious! This is real! This is important! I am concerned but, ALL my hope and trust is in God. If I should have to leave this earth for some reason, I will be immediately in God’s presence. But I am concerned about all of Gods creations so thus this blog today. God bless you! Stay safe out there!

Note:

(I’ve only posted one scripture because I need those who are unaware to read the bible and see not only all the warnings about what will happen but the help that God will provide so that we can have peace in the midst of the storm.)

Why does God allow children to suffer?

suffering child1

This is a very difficult subject that I would like to talk about today. It’s about children suffering. Yesterday I watched a YouTube video of beheaded children and families. I was horrified. I don’t why I watched it…but I did. Then that same night someone my husband and I know has a child born to their family who has a very severe illness and this child has suffered greatly.  A few years ago someone else we know had a child born with a congenital heart defect who suffered for 3 years and eventually passed away. There are many other stories of children and adults who have suffered greatly.

The big question for many people who have experienced this kind of suffering is…”why would God allow this?” This is a power packed question and I believe God doesn’t mind if we ask it.

God is a mystery. His mysteriousness is somewhat revealed dimly to those who are believers in Jesus Christ but is a complete mystery to those who are not Christians.  There is no human who can understand why God allows certain things to go on and why He does what He does. This is the mystery of God. The more that you try to understand why…  the more confused and bewildered you will become.

suffering child2

One of my children had a massive brain injury when he was born and has cerebral palsy as a result. Doctors said he may never walk or talk. I was given a miracle from God and my son graduated college at the top of his class and walks without assistance. I have seen many other children affected by cerebral palsy and they are in a wheel chair. Of course I thank God for what He did for my son…but my heart has always gone out for those more afflicted with this disability. I’ve ask myself why was my son healed and others were not.  When Jesus was on earth He didn’t heal everybody…..

Mark 6:5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

One of the greatest evangelists in the bible Paul ask for a healing 3 times and did not get healed on earth.

2 Corinthians 12:9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

When really bad things happen to people through some kind of catastrophe… people get really mad at God and blame Him….but they don’t seem to pay much attention sometimes to all the good things He has done in their lives over the years.

suffering child 3

Job 2:10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

I have had a lot of really bad things happen in my life…too much to discuss in this blog today…but I tell you I’m going to trust God until the end of my life because God has given me the strength to handle all the horrible trials in my life and He promises me great rewards for being faithful to trust Him.  The greatest reward will be living with Him forever and never experiencing any more pain and suffering.suffering child 5

Children who die go to heaven!!! From the second they breathe their last breath… they are in the arms of Jesus and they are experiencing the greatest love one can only try to imagine.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

In the bible when David’s son was ill… he prayed really hard for His child to get well. David’s son died anyway. David said that his child will never come back to him…but he will go to his child which he knew was in heaven.

About the Children who are suffering on earth right now…I have no direct answers about that because that goes into the why and only God knows why. I do know that He cares about each and every one of His children and will provide you with the strength you need.   Maybe not get out of your very hard trial but to get through it.

If you’re not a Christian…then you’re completely on your own and without supernatural help from above….BUT you can make a decision today to repent from you sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Please don’t let your anger at God get in the way of this important and life changing decision.

Evil came into this world because of Adam and Eve. When they were disobedient…they opened up Pandora’s Box and all hell broke loose on this earth. All suffering is a result of that unfortunate event. Bad things happen to every living human being…no exceptions.

In the Book of Job in the bible…All of Job’s children died….He lost his health and he lost his wealth!!  He didn’t understand why.  Even his wife and friends were quite puzzled.  Even though Job whined about it he didn’t curse God and remained faithful.

If you are suffering right now with some great tragedy…my heart goes out to you!!  I wish I could take away your pain.  I can’t solve your problems through this blog today…but I can tell you about a problem solver and His name is Jesus Christ.  Ask Him for help and strength today.  ( Please read 1 Peter 5:7 this scripture will help you greatly. Do what it says do!)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

Dear God,

The person reading this blog today may need your help. I ask you to please help them, strengthen them and guide them. Speak to them through your Holy Word the Bible. I pray the Holy Spirit will comfort them. Heal them or that special person in their life. In Jesus name I pray….Amen.

Why the heck all this suffering?

suffering cancer

There are areas of suffering that are so unexplainable.  It takes “supernatualness” to be able to understand suffering.  God see’s everything that goes on this earth…good and evil.  He’s see’s every evil act done publicly and those done in secret.  So you might have asked yourself…how can God look upon a person being severely abused or tortured or at a horrific catastrophic event where hundreds or thousands of people are killed?

Well I can tell you for sure….it takes a “supernatural being” to be able to handle seeing severe suffering.  This is why we humans are so perplexed about this subject.  We are NOT supernatural so things like that greatly affects us.  We cannot possibly understand suffering.  All we can do is hold on to the words in the bible and know that the power of the Holy Spirit can bring us the grace and comfort that we need to hold it together during difficult times.  We are NOT going to make sense of it.  This seemingly perplexing thing is something about God that people don’t understand.   Some people even get really mad at God because they think He’s turned a blind eye to human suffering.

suffering why does God allow

God hasn’t done that.    He has a plan.  He has a way out.  He promised it would be worth it in the end for those who have chosen to receive His Son Jesus Christ and for those who have graciously accepted taking up the cross (denying themselves) and have endured in their suffering.  It’s God’s way and either you can accept it or reject it…deny it…or fight it.  It’s His world!  He created us and He made the rules.

1Peter 4:12-13 Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.(MSG)

I have suffered a great deal in my life and I’ve recently been through a lot suffering and have come to some conclusions about this subject….

1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

My suffering has done a lot for me spiritually.

  1.  I’m a gospel singer and I select songs that minister to people. When I sing…everything I’ve gone through and all the times God saw me through a difficult situation comes through me through that song. I get very emotional when I sing. My signature song is His eye is on the sparrow. I sing that from the depths of my heart. Because of my suffering….this song and music means so much to me.  If not for my suffering, my music ministry would not be the same.
  2. My suffering has shown me God, it’s revealed Jesus to me in ways I could have never experienced and it has allowed the Holy Spirit to minister comfort and miracles to me personally.
  3. It has taught me how to pray, how to wait on God and trust Him no matter what.
  4. It has allowed me to see God at work in my life and has allowed me to store my past rescues up for future encouragement. ( Remembering how God brought you out of troubles in the past… will help you get through present troubles.)
  5. Suffering is never easy… but it has made me a stronger Christian.
  6. Suffering keeps Jesus very near to me and I have to keep very close to Him for my support and peace of mind.
  7. Suffering helps me to know the truth of Gods word.  My Suffering is spiritually maturing me.  Psalms 119:66-67 Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.  67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Suffering is a natural part of human life and everyone will suffer at some point in their life.  As we get older our bodies will start to fail us.  Eyes start to go and we will need glasses, arthritis starts to set in, and, emotional, financial difficulties happens.  Our husband or wife may die and on and on.  I think things get worse for a reason.  The reason is the more challenging  life becomes…the better heaven looks.   Knowing that we will have a happy, pain-free,and no more sorrows excitants…sounds wonderful!!!  If we didn’t face a life of challenges and begin to age….I don’t we would understand that this place is really not the end all and we may not look forward to our new eternal life with our Father God.

suffering filler

You have to take suffering for what it is.  What is it?  It’s what God has designed to perfect us and to make us into what He wants us to be here on earth resulting in how we will be in heaven.  I keep my mind on this thought and not on trying to understand God’s philosophy for His type of perfecting us.  It’s strange to us but not to God.  If I stray from His word on this subject and try to gain my own understanding… I will become disillusioned with my faith in God and I will doubt and get angry at the way I think He’s treating me.  I always say to myself…It’s His way… it’s His world and I’m His creation.  I need to stay within His program and not my own idea’s and thoughts.

Everything God does for me is out of His love for me…even my suffering.  If crucified Jesus suffered…if beheaded John the Baptist who was doing a great work for God suffered…If beaten up Paul and all the harassed disciples who also did great work for the Lord and suffered horrible deaths had to suffer….then what makes me think I won’t be required to suffer as I live for and serve the master.  Can I get an Amen here?

God made us promises about what He will do for us if we endure suffering:

GOD PROMISED – 1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him.

The part “no human mind has conceived” Sends chills through me!!!  We can’t even imagine how great our eternal life will be!  All suffering is temporary!!!  Before you know it… you will have a supernatural awesome life.  Keep this in your mind when you are faced with great difficulty in your life.

Here are some of the most encouraging scriptures…….

GOD PROMISED –  Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

JESUS SAID – John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

JESUS SAID – Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

So what do I know about suffering?  That is normal…there is help… that there is… or will be a way out of your suffering.   There is also a BIG reward for your suffering.  I KNOW this life is hard right now!  I know suffering is a hard pill to swallow.  I know Jesus will be there for you every step of the way and that we should trust Him no matter what the circumstance.  God has been good to us in our lives and we are so thankful.  We should be thankful for the rough times too because they have a purpose.

Job said to his wife…..Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.  (Job 2:10)

(Sidebar here about some types of suffering….Sometimes God uses suffering to correct us but He will let you know about that when you seek Him for the cause of your suffering and He will give you a way out after your repentance.  This is done out of His love for you.  This is not your everyday suffering and you should not look for this to be the answer for all your suffering. Hebrews 12:6-8 )

suffering pain

Over the past 62 years of my life… I have suffered a great deal from all kinds of things.  I would say 60% would be physical/illness and 40% other stuff.  In the past few years I can look back and see the benefits of my suffering.  It has done something inside of my spiritman that I just can’t describe to you.  It’s a supernatural work of God and only He knows how to bring this type of outcome out of  my pain and suffering.  A sports coach or any kind of coach or trainer knows just the right strategy and type of exercises to make his student a pro.  Well God knows the right things to make us into what He wants us to be and what He wants to produce in our lives.  God wants us to endure and be faithful until our earthly end.

Romans 5:3 (NLT) We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

Another thing about suffering is that I trust God in everything  in my life.  I know that He knows what’s going on with me and He’s not going to let go of me.  I know that He can sometimes be very silent during hard times when we feel we need Him the most…but… I KNOW HE IS NEAR because His word…the bible says He is!!!   So even if I don’t feel Him…I just know He is there!!  He’s not a liar!!! I know He will and does help me.  I sit and wait.  Yes sometimes I might cry because the trial or suffering is very hard…but I trust Him.  Every hard trial I’ve gone though and am going through…His grace is there every second of every day!  If not…I could not still be positive in writing this blog and still Loving Jesus the way I do after all I’ve been through.
1 Corintians4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

suffering crying

Even if all earthly things fail and I’m in the shadows of death…I know the Holy Spirit is in me and will help me to cross over into my eternal wonderful life with God. I win if I stay and I win big if I go.   I feel very blessed that I’m God’s child.

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

How I chose to deal with my present suffering is up to me.  I can deal with it by walking with the Lord, holding His hand and keeping my eyes on Jesus….or I can be doubtful, fearful and feel hopeless.  I know that life is hard sometimes…I’m living that…but I also know the miracle and supernatural ability of God to sustain me and others who have gone through and are going through extreme difficult circumstances, hard trials and suffering.  It’s a miracle because through loss and grief….pain and suffering…disappointments and failures…we still believe that God is great and God is good!  How is that possible?  Why aren’t we kicking God to the curb?  Because the bible is true and God is Good, Jesus has power and the Holy Spirit is attached to us to help us and it’s all….Supernatual!  It’s a fact! Period!!!!

Dear God…there are so many people who have suffered and who are suffering.  There is probably someone crying as they are reading this blog.  Please comfort them and send them your peace.  Please help them to deal with their suffering and help them to study and receive the help that they need from your word the Holy Bible. Please assure them of your supernatural ability to sustain them with your power.  Help them to keep their eyes on you and trust you.  Heal them…help them, bless them and answer their prayers according to your will.  I thank you for getting them through their suffering thus far and I thank you so much for all present and future answered prayers.  All the praise and glory belongs to you oh Lord.  We love you!  I ask these things in Jesus name…Amen.

The fellowship of His sufferings… Whoa!

Suffering best

You mean to tell me we are to join Jesus in the fellowship of His suffering?  We are to take up our cross and follow Him?  Are we to suffer because Jesus did?  The answer is yes to those questions… but it’s much deeper than that.  There is a clear purpose for suffering and it all has to do with God.  Jesus really suffered for us in many ways…(note- the scripture says the fellowship of His sufferings…with an “s”)  Our precious Lord and Savior experienced great sorrow because of our sins.

Not only did Jesus suffer on the cross…but I believe He suffered the minute He was conceived in Mary’s womb because it was out of Jesus’ comfort zone.  To be God and then become a human was not the best thing for a very Highly Exalted Holy and Supreme  being named God or “I AM” as He calls Himself.  But He became human for us because… God so loved the world.  He made a way to help us even before the world was created! He was part of His own plan for us!   God loved us first….God humbled Himself first.  He bent down and scooped us up into His loving arms when He became a man and submitted Himself to such humiliation and agony that the cross and being a human brought Him.    Jesus suffered for us and Paul’s prayer was…. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Philippians 3:10)

We are told in the bible that we are going to suffer in 1 Peter 4:12-13:

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.…

Most of my Christian life has been a struggle to figure why I have been suffering and why the suffering of others.  I try to encourage others all the time and I pray for their suffering to be over.   We are suppose to pray but God has us go through suffering for a reason and it seems as if suffering is sharing in the fellowship with Christ suffering.    I’ve always thought that suffering is a really bad thing…but that can’t be right I light of what the “bible” says about suffering.   Suffering does a great work in our lives and we are told to…2Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.…  (James 1:2).

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Philippians 3:10)

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Philippians 3:10)

We Christians can get through our suffering.   God‘s response to Paul when he asked for a healing from his physical suffering ….But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. ( Corinthians 12:9)

God promised that if you…Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrew13:5)

So we need to…Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1Peter5:7)

Instead of dwelling on all the mess the devil is doing, Instead of spending a lot of time worrying about our troubles… Instead of concentrating on all that I not right in our lives and this world….we should put our focus on who made us, who saved us and humble ourselves before our Holy God and repent for all wrong doing.  We should spend a lot of time worshipping and loving our Lord and Savior.   We should spend a tremendous amount of time walking with God!  This is how we can adapt in ”suffering”.

Nobody in this world enjoys suffering and pain.  I know I don’t for sure…but I’m beginning to look at suffering in a  different way which is more helpful and understanding.  Job said to His wife… He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” (Job2:10)   “Though he slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). God should get Glory from us whether our prayers are answered right away or if we have to wait or if He just says no to our request.

There is a lot of suffering in our lives and in this world.  We couldn’t possibly understand it all.  In all the years of humanity…nobody has ever been able to understand tragic events, pain and suffering.  Some People cry out to God and some curse Him. Some accuse Him of being unfeeling, mean and unloving.  I know this for a fact….we are not going to understand it in our life time…but we will understand it when God reveals all to us in our next life after our death in this one.  That is a fact…so for now….for our peace of mind…we need to hold on tightly to the grace of God….we need to walk very close to Jesus, we need to read our bible and put our trust in God.  If we don’t do this and our time of suffering comes….it will take us a down a dark and lonely road. We will become…afraid.   We Christians are all going to go up the rough side of the mountain.  We can go with the supernatural helping power of God or we can go it alone with our own weak strength.  We have a choice.

Spend time just concentrating on Christ pain and suffering, thanking Him for His sacrifice.  Think about how a mighty powerful God became a man to bring you close to Himself.  Spend lots of time worshiping Jesus and walking with Him.   Don’t be afraid of sharing in the fellowship of His suffering!  Jesus understands this suffering and will be there as we experience this difficult but rewarding part of our Christian journey.
