Our Father Which Art In Google

Oops….Shouldn’t this be our Father which art in heaven? Many people ask questions on Google and find their way to my blog…and that’s great. Some people do bible searches(like me) and some people need help. God is available to answer questions and is more available than Google.

Two of my most viewed blogs are “I’m going to kill myself and I am so stupid.”  I entitled it that way to draw people to my blog who are suffering in those areas so that I can share the Good News of hope which is Jesus Christ.  On my blog I’m able to see what people Google to get to my blog and it’s surprising to see so many people seeking God and answers to their lives through Google.

There are a lot of good spiritual resources out there.   There is also a lot of very bad religious advice and false biblical doctrine too.  Needless to say the internet can be bad and can be good.   One thing is for sure…seeking God for guidance and your problems is the best thing you can do for yourself.

The difference between God and Google( besides God being omnipotent and having all power) is that you can get blessings, answered prayer, forgiveness, healing, financial help, love and even eternal life.

I’m in no way saying to stop using Google….I use it all day every day…I’m just saying don’t forget to talk to God first.
Message for today: Google is great…God is….awesome!!!!

I Always Look at Road Kill :-(

Don't look!

Mathew 14:29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

The other day my husband and I were driving in the car and we drove past a big road kill and I looked down right at it. I told my husband that every time I see road kill I look at it and it makes me so mad because I don’t want to see it and he laughed. Well today on my way to church…yeah…you guessed it…road kill….but for as much as my brain was saying look….I only glanced…I didn’t really see anything.

I said to myself…If I can just learn to not look at my problems head on… I would be better for it….but like looking at that road kill….. I’m staring at…my health, my finances, my kids everything and anything. In the scripture above…Peter looked at the wind and it caused him to take his mind off Jesus….You know he didn’t even do it for that long….and in that short amount of time….Bam!…H20…a dip in the Lake…he began to sink.

This week I’m going to make a bigger effort to KEEP MY EYES ON THE LORD AT ALL TIMES AND NOT TAKE THEM OFF FOR ONE SECOND!!!!! I’m gonna need Gods help for this. I do keep my eyes on the Lord…but…I do take them off briefly when I worry, doubt or fear creeps in.

Even when we doubt God is right there….Mathew 29:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

My prayer is Mark 9:24  ……. “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

What did Jesus do? And how long did it take for Him to do it? He helped Peter Immediately and then asked him some tough questions. I guess Jesus was saying to Peter….dude…you’ve been hangin’ around with me all this time and have seen me do amazing miracles and you have the nerve to doubt me now? I should let you get good and wet!….Well I’m so glad Jesus doesn’t think like me…LOL…”.but I want to think like Jesus!”

Keep your eyes on the Lord and you'll stay dry!

Message for today: Simple….We should keep our eyes on the Lord 24/7…at all times.

I lift up my eyes to you, to you whose throne is in heaven.(Psalms 123:1)

P.S. – Did you ever think road kill could lead to a bible lesson?

The Names of God… Helps Us to Know Him!

Psalms 9:9,10 9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

What is your name? This question has been asked of you for as long as you can remember. Your name is very important…so important that we have a paper that verifies our identity (birth certificate) and also a driver’s license. If you don’t have some form of identification in this world you can’t go anywhere or do anything.

If someone mentions a person’s name you know the first thing that happens to you is you try to get a mental picture of that person. You immediately try to identify them in your mind. If you don’t remember that person right away…the person who mentioned the name will begin to tell you things about them until you go…..oh yeah…I know them.

God has hundreds of names and each one of His names reveals something special about Him. I’m including a link here of a website that has a list of the names of God.  http://bible.org/article/names-god

Please take some time to read and study the names of God. Why is this so important? His names tell you who He is and they reveal His character, attributes and abilities. It Helps us to identify His personality and when we understand who He is in this way we began to know Him in a very personal way. This is His way of helping us to get close to Him our God who we can’t see…but can get to know. If we spend time just meditating on His name alone…..this will have a big effect getting to know Him better.

In Exodus 3:13-15 and 20:2 Moses asked God who he should say he is to the children of Israel. God gave Moses 3 names for Himself:

1. I Am
2. I Am Who I Am
3. I Am the LORD Thy God (Yahweh)

I feel God is saying to us that He is it!! There is nothing in front of Him and nothing in back of Him. There is no existence of any other being that has control of the any created things. There is no existence of any life or anything before Him or after Him….He is it, He is all, and He is…PERIOD!….don’t even think about it…don’t even go there!….He is!…That’s it!

He has another name that also states this in Revelation 21:1-8…..He says…”I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA”…which means…beginning and end.

When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray in Mathew 6 He told them this important way to address God…. Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

What does this mean? How do we hollow God’s name?

These are my ways of hollowing His name:

1. I respect the name of God.
2. I believe in His identity.
3. I’m obedient to His name.
4. I acknowledge God’s Holiness.
5. His name is glorified in my heart in the form of my worship to Him.
6. I live my life to reflect His name.
7. I give honor His name.
8. I fear the name of Lord.
9. I worship the ground God walks on (this means-I love Him with my whole heart).
10. I submit to God as the head of my life and have no other gods before me.

Names have an important place and meaning in our lives and one of the most important name that we should be focused on, memorizing, and meditating on is the names of our God.

Message for today: Know the names of God and you will have a more personal and intimate relationship with Him.

Valley Experiences with God

Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Let’s get right into it…..A valley experience is a period of time where you feel alone (even though you are not) in your suffering or trial…. whether physically or mentally. It’s a time that is very difficult and extremely hard to work through. It’s not death…but it can feel just as difficult emotionally to deal with.

It can be a time where you pray and you feel as if God took a trip into the galaxy and forgot to take his Iphone….or you pray and you feel as if your prayers come back stamped…return to sender.

The valley experience is a time that:

1. You need to know and remind yourself that you are Gods child.
2. You know Gods word and His promises to you.
3. That there is a divine purpose for you being the valley.
4. You are really at a strong time in your life because the Lord is strong in your weakness.
5. You grow spiritually.
6. You learn of God’s sustaining power.
7. You learn how to walk your walk in the Lord.
8. You learn how deep your faith is and Gods further development of your faith.
9. Any doubt you may have is exposed.
10. You seek out the prayers of the righteous.
11. You need to be in church…around the saints.
12. You will find strength in your praise to God.
13. You are an example to others who know your situation and see your strength.
14. Brings you to the next level in the Lord.
15. Helps you reflect on your mountaintop experiences and reminds you of God’s power.
16. You learn patience and about waiting.
17. You learn how to be still in the Lord.
18. It’s OK to moan, groan and cry out to the Lord.
19. You will experience the comforting and healing power of the Holy Spirit over your life.
20. You will see and experience victory first hand.

Here is my personal experience with valley seasons. I really don’t enjoy being in the valley….but I’m very grateful to God for them because I know it is for my spiritual growth and I never want to remain in the same place wih God.
When I’m down in the valley…I feel numb spiritually…..Like I’m just going through the motions of my Christian walk. I know I’m saved, I know that I’m a child of God but…..I don’t feel all the awe and power of God at that moment…I know it…but I don’t feel it. This is why we must not always trust in feelings. Feelings and emotions have their place in our lives…without them our lives would be very difficult. But we must know and trust in God’s word that we have studied and hidden in our heart.

Wait on the Lord

When I’m down in the valley I know it and I say to myself…come on now… not out loud….I ain’t crazy just in the valley….I say…”Girl….you are in the valley and you need to get that valley chair out of the closet and have a seat.” So I sit and I hum to myself….I might hum these songs…It is well with my soul…or Amazing Grace. My best valley song is… His eye is on the sparrow. I can be down in that valley pit for quite some time…that’s why I get the chair. I wait until God sends down a rope and pulls me out and I walk on with a renewed spirit.

Spiritual Growth in the Valley

I used to yell….help…get me out of here! I can’t take it anymore. You said you wouldn’t put more on me than I can bear. God can you hear me? Are you listening? Are you to busy up there? Is your watch broken?….Yep….I really said all this stuff and more. But I have learned to get the chair out so I can wait, sing and pray.

One more thing…..I want to tell you that the enemy (you know that liar satan aka the devil) will harass you like crazy. But you having studied the bible on spiritual warfare… know to have on the whole amour of God. You know how to submit yourself to the Lord and resist all his attacks on you at this difficult time. You know how to trust God to see you through…so you don’t have anything to worry about. You got this….right?…. right?…Can I get an Amen here?…Come on… Praise Him now!

Message for today: You will  at some point in your life walk through the valley of the shadow of death….you may have to sit a while…but you will come out with the victory. The victory is God’s divine will and way for you to get through your valley time/ trial that He has allowed you to go through for a season (a period of time) under His watchful eye.  He’s got your back…so don’t you go a stressin’ yourself out. Wait on the Lord….Wait I say on the Lord. (Read 1 Peter 5:7)

Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Mountain Top Experiences With God

The Mountaintop is a Good Place to Visit

Deuteronomy 5:4 The LORD spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.

Luke 9:28-36 28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.

I’ve been to the Mountaintop

Martin Luther King said that he had been to the mountaintop, Moses was on the mountaintop with God, Jesus had a powerful prayer meeting on the mountain top…..mountaintop experiences…what in Pete’s name is going on up there?
I have had many mountaintop experiences in the Lord and I love it up there. I never want to come back down.

Whenever I go on a trip to Connecticut or Massachusetts I love to look out the window at the mountains. There is something majestic about them. People lose their lives climbing them. You know I’m satisfied just doing a drive by…..right?….that’s close enough for me.

Just what is a mountaintop experience? Well I will share my interpretation and experience. It is a place where you are on a natural high in the Lord and He ministers to your spirit man….a state of extreme well-being and happiness that is brought on by the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s a place that God allows you to be in for a season whether it’s a few moments to hours or even days at a time. You cannot make yourself go there or stay there. It’s the special anointing of God who can bring it on for any reason and the benefits are to bring you to a place of joy, excitement in the Lord and a longing for more of God.

This mountaintop experience can come on you at times of prayer, reading scriptures, meditating on the Lord, a time of worship, at a church service or prayer meeting or at anytime God chose’s to bless you with His presence in this way.

When I have these experiences… and I’ve had them many many times…they make me feel so good….like I can go out and conquer the world for the Lord. I feel like nobody can say anything to bring me down. I feel like Jesus is the Grand Marshal of the Rose Bowl parade and I’m riding with Him in the lead car and He has His arm around me and we are waving at the crowd. I feel so powerful like if I was crossing the street and a bus was going hit me I could put my hand out and stop that bus……Hey…I know….I’m getting carried away……scratch the bus thing. My point is it’s a powerful experience.

A mountaintop experience can lead to a personal revival, church revival and many other great blessing in the Lord.
There is one really big problem with being on the mountaintop……it’s a nice place to visit….but you can’t stay there!…..Why…because there’s no McDonald’s, Starbucks and you can’t get a cell phone signal or Wi-Fi….Just kidding with you. The real reason is…. it cannot sustain life in the high altitude. The air in thinner and humans and plant life cannot survive.

In our Christian walk…. we will not grow either on continued or sustained mountaintop experiences. Our faith can’t be exercised so we will eventually become weak. So we must hike ourselves back down and assimilate ourselves into our regular everyday life and prepare ourselves for the Valleys times which I will discuss in my next blog.

Message for today: Open your heart, mind and soul to the Lord….walk with the Lord close enough and you will have a mountain top experience with God. Seek Him….look for Him….wait on Him…..expect this from Him. He never forces His presence on anyone….so…..desire Him…..Let Him take you to……the mountaintop.

Have you been to the Mountaintop Lately?

The Centurion ordered them to go get Jesus to heal his servant

Luke 7:1-10
When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them.

He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7 That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 10 Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

The Lord told me to share this story today. It‘s a very powerful story and has been on my heart for weeks…but today is the day that someone needs to be reminded of this powerful story.

This compassionate man first humbled himself in the presence of Jesus….he was a Roman soldier and He was giving honor to a Jewish man (Jesus) in front of everyone. He had heard about Jesus and believed He could heal….He believed Jesus had authority to do powerful things. He also saw the value in his servants life…..he cared enough about someone to humble himself and reach out for help. This is a good example of interceding for some else’s suffering.

This centurion truly had faith that Jesus could help his servant and there were powerful 4 words he spoke by way of his friends…….”BUT SAY THE WORD”….and my servant will be healed. Jesus response here is something for us to meditate on……”I HAVE NOT FOUND SUCH GREAT FAITH EVEN IN ISRAEL.”

We have the word of the Lord….the bible which is packed with everything we need to help us. It is a living book and when we humble ourselves, read it and believe in what God says He can do and will do for us….blessings will follow us.

What kind of faith do you have today?……Great faith?…..You know…this is a special story and God included this story in His word along with many other true stories of biblical people great faith. He wanted us to be positive about His abilities to meet our every need….but He also knows we will struggle to keep our faith at this level.
Mathew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

You can start out with a little faith like when you first came to the Lord….you had saving faith….but over time as you grew in the Lord and studied the word of God your faith began to grow. A mustard seed starts out very tiny, but overtime it grows into a large plant.

Our faith needs to continue to mature and grow. Great faith….I love the way that sounds….great faith. I need it…I want it.

Right now my faith is at an all time high. Yes…God has done some really big miracles for me recently and has been doing that all the time for me….but since I have been doing this blog for almost a half of year my faith has really increased. I have cut way back on TV and spent much more time wanting to be in His presence.

All the prayer, daily seeking God and studying His word has been responsible for increasing my faith.

We don’t lose our faith like a lost wallet….. There is no lost and found with faith…..Either you have it or you don’t.   There are times though when my faith does get weak. It can happen when I’m extremely tired, have had many very difficult trials in a row or I’ve been very sick. At these times I feel the prayers of my family, friends and church sister and brothers. That’s why the bible says to pray for one another. The Holy Spirit ALWAYS is with me and leads me back to a higher place in the Lord. I recover and my faith recovers and is even greater when I realize what the Lord just did for me.

Message for today: I know you want to have great faith….and you know what….you do have faith….and it will develop and grow. Don’t beat yourself up and say….I wish I had faith like him or her…..Study Gods word and trust in Him with all your heart and your faith will increase.

Dear God…A Note To My Father

Dear God,

I want to take this time out to say thank you for everything you do for me. Sometimes I really forget to say thank you. Last week….when I had the worst pain I ever had in my life….I called on you and you were right there when I screamed out your name. As they rushed me to the emergency room I expected for you to be there and you were. I was so scared but your Holy Spirit kept me at peace. Lord….you even arranged for me to share my room with another born again believer and as we spent hours talking about you…you showed us both so much mercy and your presence was so evident.

This week as I reflected on the whole situation…my heart was broken when I realized I didn’t even say thank you for helping me out of that horrible experince. I just forgot…. I felt so bad….but as I started to ask your forgiveness I began to feel all the love and understanding you have for me.
I’m so glad you don’t hold on to my faults. I’m so honored to be your daughter and to have you as my Dad. Father….I love you so very much….I don’t know what I would do without you in my life. I need you….I’m nothing without you.

Thanks again for all you’ve done for me.

Your daughter,
Tanya

Needing Money Ain’t So Funny

The Love Of Money...not good!

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

A popular R&B group called the O’Jays released a song in 1973 called For the Love of Money. It was very popular and remains so after all these years…why….because we humans still have issues with money. Bernie Madoff swindled hundreds of people out of it, people are mad at our US president because of the lack of it, banks got greedy and tried to manipulate it and everyone wants more of it…..Money!

Sure…we need money to live on….and money has its place in our lives but it’s not #1. There are so many scripture verses on money and for there to be so many….I think God is trying to tell us something. He already knew money was going to be an issue for all generations so He made sure to give us lots of information about it.

Personally….I have never had a lot of money and… I use to want to be rich…..don’t miss this point…..USE TO. My wanting money stemmed from not having enough of it and striving to make enough to live on. Then because of societies promotion of things in our culture (cars, clothes, jewelry, etc.)….I wanted it for more and better stuff.

1 Timothy 6:7-10 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

I’m not ashamed to admit this information about myself because it is the truth and I’m in a better place mentally about it now. The problem does have to do with the mind and how we think about money. Does money have control over our thoughts?…..Something to think about.

God has and is still teaching me about money. He is teaching me to trust Him for all my daily needs. When I look back over all the times I was at a brick wall with money….the Lord helped me out of each and every situation……and some of them were very very serious. Hey….I’m not gonna tell ya’ all me biz-ness now! (Smile here).

I think about Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. And also Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. At the time I didn’t see this because He had answered the need in a different way than I expected…..but now when I look back…the needs were always met.

There was also the many miraculous ways God answered a prayer and I got a large sum of money to meet the need or the Lord shifted paper work around to get what He wanted me to have.

I can tell you this…..I’ve been plus size since I was 19 years old and I’m 59 now. I was thin for 5 years because I lost the weight myself but…….I have never starved and I’ve got the weight to prove it! LOL
Now our economy is not the greatest right now and many people are suffering. I’m not making light of that because I know how serious it is. But what I would like to say here is to put your trust in the Lord when it come to your financial situation because from my personal experience the Lord was and is my ONLY source of help I look to…to supply my need. 1 Peter 5:7 Look this up…you need it today.

Psalms 23:1

Financial stress can cause you to not wanna eat( well not in my case..Smile) or it can keep you up all night with your mind running…..thinking….what will I do? Stop this thinking right now and put your mind on, your eyes on and your trust in the Lord….and then wait…..wait on Him. Now that doesn’t mean you don’t go out looking for a job or if you have no food you just sit there……but do what you have to do and trust that God will direct you… in whose name?…..yes….in the name of Jesus! There is power in that name…Power.

If you are rich reading this blog….you know this blog can still help you. You say how? Please donate to a food pantry today…..your church or a local church may have one. The pantries are on overload trying to help families who are having a difficult time right now. This can help you be a blessing.

My thoughts today about money is….I trust God for what He has given me to live on today and I give Him thanks every single day for His provisions for me. My hope and trust is in the Lord to provide for me for tomorrow. I know that He will do this because the bible tells me He will and God’s track record with me in the past is 100%. I’m thankful for all those lean times because in looking back I can see all the hundreds of miracles God did for me and this has increased my faith in His ability to provide for me.

For families who are struggling…..I ‘m praying for you…..please know that God is concerned about you. The bible is full of promises in the area of God providing for you. This is no time to be mad at God. It’s a time to seek Him and trust Him. God bless you!!

Message for today: Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

God’s Commands…Message 4 U Today

Genesis 6:22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

The Lord spoke to me this morning and asked me to share this with you….Are you doing everything God asked you to do?
My blog will be very short today because the message is pretty clear. If you are a born again committed follower of Jesus Christ….then you know we all have our gifts, talents and jobs to do for the Lord. The bible makes it very clear that we are to bear fruit and to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As the days here on earth are becoming more perilous and people are seeking answers, help and encouragement… God is speaking to many about His commands. Many people beside Noah have carried out His orders….Moses, Abraham, John the Baptist, Mary…mother of Jesus, Paul, and Billy Graham. These people are just a few names and there are so many others from bible days to today that we don’t even know about. Is your name…my name one of those? (I say my name also because I too have to make sure I’m doing what God wants me to do at all times.)

Whatever God has spoken, asked, revealed, commanded you to do….it’s time to roll. It could be something really big….or it could be something not so big. He may have called you to the mission field or to clean your church’s bathrooms. Maybe He’s spoken to you about becoming an evangelist or calling that unsaved neighbor up the street from you and inviting them to lunch. Whatever God has asked you to do……do it…..get started today…..pray……get a plan…and minister…in Jesus Name.

Message for today: I love what Mary…mother of Jesus said when she got her command…. Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.

I am the Lord’s servant… I am the Lord’s servant… I am the Lord’s servant

The Anointing of God…Do I Need It?

1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth

There is a lot of talk about the anointing in Christian circles. Many people want it….many say they have it…..and many people have no idea of what it really is.

The dictionaries meaning of anoint is to… smear or rub with oil or an oily substance. In our church the elders anoint people with oil who are suffering from illness as the bible says to do. The oil is symbolic oil, but the anointing for power that a person needs to be healed comes from God through the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.

Anointing the sick with oil

When Jesus was here on earth He had the anointing. Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

The anointing is very powerful and not to be taken lightly. In fact it’s so powerful that it can destroy yokes. A yoke for a person can be..… Bondage, enslavement, servitude, anything that weights you down…puts a burden on you. Isaiah 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The anointing is directly connected with our born again…Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, repentant, walking in the Spirit, obedient, prayerful relationship with our Lord. There is no anointing apart from God. You can’t work it up and you can’t make it up.

Now for one of my Tanya Nemley testimonies about the anointing in my life. I need the anointing in my everyday life and when I minister in any capacity for the Lord. I always look for the anointing but you can’t go by looking or feelings. If God wills it…it will be there. When I sing a solo at a church function, bedside of a sick person or anywhere….the anointing of God takes over my singing ministry and I am decreased and the Holy Spirit takes over . Sometimes I can feel Him take over and sometimes I can’t feel Him…but the result is the same. The effect that the words of that song has on people is there…it doesn’t depend on me and my feelings.

This same thing happens when I meet a complete stranger and the Lord wants me to share the gospel.
I also feel the anointing when I myself need a touch from the Lord. Sometimes I will feel it when I read the bible and I can feel the word of God pouring over me like oil. The anointing will also come over me to pray.  At times of prayer it can be a very heavy anointing.

You cannot put God’s anointing in a box…..because it flows…many times it spills into an outpouring. The anointing is to be respected. Not worshipped….we worship God who is the one who anoints.

When I have the anointing overflowing it affects the people around me. I’ve heard many people say…it’s just something about you….or I can meet another Christian and we will just know each other is a Christian. We are one in the spirit…yes….but when we are walking in the Spirit and filled with the Spirit the anointing is strong and affects anyone we come in contact with.

I feel… the more I decrease and the more I allow the Lord take over my life…the more the Lord can do with me.  God will use me and anoint me for His service. I don’t run after the anointing….I run after Him….God….and what He chooses to do with me and through me….I just make myself available and I have faith that He can and will move.

Anointing with oil

The anointing is real and the anointing of God in my life has taught me so much about the things of God. I do study the bible because I need to know God’s word.   This is very important for spiritual growth and defeating the enemy…. but there are some things about God you can only know by the anointing. 1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

The anointing is one of those special blessings we have as a result of our unique relationship with the creator. There is so much about Him that excites me to want to know everything about Him and experience Him in this unusual way…..the anointing.

To summarize….The anointing is an outpouring from God on our lives for His special purposes.

Message for today: The anointing of God…yes…you need it. Hope today’s blog guides you further in your walk with the Lord.
