God Speaks I Listen

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The bible is the most amazing book in the entire world!  It’s a special book with incredible power.  The bible is what reveals God to us!    It’s a life changing book!  This book keeps unfolding and it gets deeper the more one reads it.   The longer you read it…it will continue to unfold and let’s go of its secrets.  The bible is ALIVE!  It’s a very unique book that is actually a real living book!  Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.  Oh my Lord God!!! Is this incredible or what!!!!!

The bible speaks to your spiritman and it gets into your heart and your mind.  This book can clean up your soul and it can fix all the sinful areas of your life so you will be pleasing to God.

When you read the bible…you are hearing from God himself speaking right to you.  Anytime you want to hear from God… just pick up this book and read it because the words are alive and they will speak directly to you.  Of course you can pray and hear from God also…but there are times during your day that you need to hear God’s clear and direct instructions, directions, assurances and comfort to you and these are at your fingertips when you own a bible and read it.

John 8:31-32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

People are always looking for mystical and magical things.  They will spend lots of money to find the secrets and powers of this life when all they have to do is open this amazing book with an open and seeking heart for truth.  The bible reveals this amazing, awesome, powerful, supernatural being to us.  It tells us everything that we need to know about God… His personality, His abilities and one of the loves of His life…which is us His very own creation!

There was a couple this week on the news who was having an extremely difficult financial situation and they were just getting ready to lose their house to foreclosure.  The wife was cleaning out the kitchen to pack up and move and found a jar with some old lottery tickets.  They took them to the store to see if any were winners and one was and they didn’t know that all this time they had a $4 million dollar winning ticket!!!!  http://beaconnews.suntimes.com/news/20131572-418/geneva-family-wins-lotto-in-nick-of-time.html

Well if you have a Holy Bible you are also sitting on a $4 million dollar winner per se.  what’s in the bible is worth so much…in fact it’s invaluable!!!

The bible keeps giving and giving.  The more you read it…the more it reveals  its message to you and depending on what’s going on in your life at the time you’re read it…it meets that need in your spirit. Even though you may have read that scripture hundreds of times….in that moment it will have a deeper meaning to you.  It will be applied right to your situation in an amazing way.  How does this happen?  Well it’s a mystery just how God can do this….but I do know that the Holy Spirit will help our spirit receive what the bible is telling us because….”It’s a living book!”  God our Holy Father provided this for us to sustain us.

Have you ever gone out to an all you can eat restaurant?  There is one here in New York called the Old Country Buffet and you may have something like it in your state.  The first time I went there it was so much food I was stunned to the point that I couldn’t eat much because I was so overwhelmed at the large assortment of food.   The bible is like that to me.  When you pick up that big book and thumb through it…it’s so overwhelming with all of its information…but when you take your time and study it you can really feast on it.  It is the bread of life and you can eat from it and be nourished by it for your entire life!  Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

The words from the bible will also stick to you.  The bible says to hide the word of God in our heart and this is a big clue on how we should handle Gods word.  As we live our lives…the Holy Spirit will remind us of God’s words and His word will help us live our lives and be strengthened and guided by it in a miraculous way.  There is no other book on earth that has this kind of incredible power!!!  It’s not the paper or the ink…but Gods word on those precious pages that gives the power.

Message for today:  You are not alone…you are not without help…God has provided everything we need to make it in this life!  The bible gives us hope for a great future!   All of God’s provisions have helped countless Christians before us and they are reaping the benefits of enduring this life and were successful and we will do the same!  Let’s read and study this wonderful, extraordinary, miraculous book so we can…be blessed by it!

Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

P.S.-  There is someone who doesn’t want you to read the bible so he can keep tricking you and deceiving you.  Don’t let the devil have his way.  Know your bible well!!!
