The real question here is….”ARE YOU REALLY SAVED?”
You say that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior but in your actions you have not changed your sinful ways one drop. You still do all the same sinful things you’ve always done without one drop of godly sorrow. You do not honor God or bring any glory to his name. You lack repentance when you demonstrate your bad behavior and habits in front of others who know you. There is nothing that gives anyone a clue that you’re a Christian. You just live the same way that you have always lived your life. If this sounds like your life then there is a strong possibility that you haven’t been truthful with yourself and God and the state of your heart is reflecting your true original sin nature. This is not good news.
Here are just a few things (there is so much more) the bible list that can keep one out of heaven:
Galatians 5:19-21 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The choice is yours!
The greatest sin of all is the rejection of Jesus when the Holy Spirit when He is trying to speak to a person about repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and you say a flat out NO. If you carry this sin out until your last breath on this earth, this horrific sin and rejection of Jesus will keep you from heaven and you will live forever in hell.
Hebrews 10:26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let go of anything that would keep you from Heaven!!
What the bible says about receiving salvation and the evidence of you having made a confession of faith:
-
- You have to have Faith!!! Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- You need to declared faith in Christ with your mouth. Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- You must repented! Act 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins….
- You need to believe in your heart. Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- You have accepted God’s gift grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
- You do God’s will. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven
- You need obey God. Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?”
What does it feel like to truly be saved, born again and have made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior? This was my experience:
- I realized that Jesus died on the cross for me and I cried.
- I realized my own sinful heart.
- I was very very sorry for my evil ways.
- I cried and repented.
- I asked Jesus to forgive me.
- I deeply wanted to be right with God.
- I felt very vulnerable and in need of a savior… “Jesus”.
- I experienced forgiveness and cried the moment I felt clean.
- I felt bare before God and in need of direction from Him. (Like “what now Lord?”)
- I felt a weak and need to be helped along with connecting with God. I had a strong desire for more of God.
I have to say this though, that I believed in Jesus since I was 12 years old. I was by myself when this happened and I did not change anything about myself. I had no discipleship even though I did regularly attend church. At 18 I still continue to live as I always did. No spiritual change but I did believe in Jesus. When I married James A. Nemley we both were kind of “religious”. I had been Lutheran and he was Catholic. When we got married we had religious wedding invitations and we did believe in Jesus but we showed no fruits of that. We thought of ourselves as good people though.
But then in 1984 something drastically changed. We were visited by a local pastor in our home and invited to attend a Pentecostal church. This is what happened to us:
- Godly sorrow entered us.
- We saw our true nature the way God saw the sin in us. We didn’t like that!
- We genuinely repented for the wrong things we had done in our lives and were so very sorry for it.
- Our hearts were turned to wanting to do good. We hated the devil and all evil.
- We wanted more of God.
- We felt His love and presence finally in our lives. We were transformed!
- We wanted to blindly follow Jesus and serve Him.
- We wanted to share the good news with others.
- We didn’t want to do any of the things that displeased our God.
- We felt the change in us and other people saw this total change in our actions and behavior. We were truly new creations! We were now Committed Christians!!!
I has been such a blessing to experience this Christian walk together with my husband. It’s been an exciting and blessed marriage to be able to honor our God and to bring glory to His name!!!
To help us out with our new commitment to Jesus Christ we:
- Relied heavily on the Holy Spirit to teach us all we needed to know.
- We read and studied the bible.
- We prayed a lot.
- We loved the Lord with our body, soul, mind and whole heart.
This is my prayer for every human being…..
John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 3:16 ……. that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Everybody is going to live…FOREVER!!!! BUT where will it be? 1. Heaven? 2. Hell? Our time on earth is very brief! Make sure of your destiny, and make sure your family, friends, neighbors and everyone you come into contact with knows the GOOD NEWS! It’s a matter of death or life (eternal)!

Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
