God Speaks I Listen

Once upon a time there was God who always existed. He had a Son who was the word and was later called Jesus when He lived on the earth. There also existed Holy Spirit who could do amazing things. One day they (God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit) decided to create humans. They said they would make these beings in their own image and these beings would be so loved and they would even adopt them into their own family. From the very beginning they loved what they were going to create but they knew this needed a special plan because of their own holiness.

God had also created other being called angels. They were God’s helpers. One of these angels knew God’s plans to create beings that were much more special than him so he devised an evil plan to destroy these humans and separated them from God forever.

When God heard what this angels plans were, He kicked him out of heaven and sent him to the planet He created for His beloved human beings. 

God created the first man and then the first woman. They were perfect in every way and had control over all the other creatures that roamed the earth.

So the angel who was kicked out of heaven tricked the first man and woman to be disobedient to God. From then on life for man and woman became very difficult. The worst thing that happened to man because of his disobedience was now called sin and he was now an enemy of God and He was separated from the Lord because of sin.

So now God had to enact the next part of His plan and He asked His only Son Jesus to sacrifice Himself to take away the sins of mankind.  He agreed and gave His life for mankind. So now man had the opportunity to be put right with God. This was an eternal lifesaver for man because without Jesus sacrifice mankind was doomed. The word of Jesus sacrifice was spread by way of 12 men who were Jesus friend and helpers. They spread this good news all around many communities who shared it also and it eventually went viral! Today over 2,000 years later the word is still spreading.

God also gave mankind a very unusual tool to help him navigate through his entire life and to help him understand all about God and His plant or him.  It was in the form of a book. This is not just any book but this is a very unique book. There has never been another book in all of earths history that’s as unique as this special book. There is power in the words of this book. If you believe in Jesus Christ God’s Son you will have understanding in what it says by way of the Holy Spirit giving you the unique ability to “get it”. People who don’t believe in Jesus will not “get it”. The words in the book can help you to make it through life. Let me tell you that you need this book! It’s part of God’s plan to take care of you.

Another part of God’s plan is for you to be able to talk to Him WHEN EVER you want to. Hey….you can talk to Him all day and night!   How great is that?

So let’s review this true story.   The creator of the entire universe created you. He loved you so much that He wanted you to be with Him forever. A fallen angel was jealous of you so he devised a plan to separate you from God. But God had a plan to put you right with Himself.  So Jesus, God’s Son came to earth and died for you so that you could have a blessed life on earth and an eternal home in heaven. You’ll never suffer again. You will see the creator face to face one day and be loved by Him forever. And all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ, stop sinning, obey God, love God and love others?

You know…this is a great story! It’s like the story of Cinderella. A difficult story with a great ending. This very true story of mankind is a difficult story but it has a GREAT ending!!!

Revelation 21:3-7 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.
