How to Get Through This Covid-19 Pandemic

The Holy Spirit will help us!

  1. Prayer
  2. Relying on God’s word
  3. Being filled with the Holy Spirit
  4. Confidence in the assurance of your eternal security (It is well with your soul)

For the purpose of this blog today I would like to concentrate on being filled with the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist was faced with being decapitated.  He also preached a very strong message about sin and repentance, in which I know upset some people.

Luke 1:15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.

Stephen was a man in the bible who was being terrorize by a gang of men called the Sanhedrin’s who he was trying to tell truth to about the kingdom of God. In the midst of being threatened with sure death he was able to deal with it and even asked God to forgive these awful men who were going to murder him.

Acts 7:55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

The first church went through great danger and persecution because of them being Christ followers.

Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Jesus Christ Himself was about to be starved and tempted for 40 and nights to the point of extreme weakness hunger and thirst.

Luke 4:1,2 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.…

There is a clear pattern here.  Great trials lead to reliance on help and strength from the Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!  There is NO getting around this.  So, we all have a lot of time on our hands.  Let’s do some bible study on the Holy Spirit.  Find out EVERYTHING the bible reveals about who He is and what He can do in the believers life.  With His help and strength, we will be able to bare up under this present and concerning trial that we are ALL going through.

We all need prayer; we all need help, all at the same time.  I don’t think since the days of Noah has there been a trial that has endangered every single person on earth.  But I know two things for sure…. God will help us by the power of the Holy Spirit and this trial will end!  Not only is there light at the end of the tunnel…the tunnel is illuminated by the Son of God Himself.  Jesus is the light that is going to see us through!  Can I get an AMEN?

If you are a born again Christian, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of you when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. God is with you and in you!!!

When the Pandemic is Over

There will be three things that will happen after this.

1.The sinful will continue to do what they do.

2. Those who were on the fence about Jesus will be waiting for the light and saltiness from the Christians to point them to the Savior.

3. Many of the Christians will deepen their walk with the Lord. This is because they have experienced God bringing them through this time of suffering.

Let this be a time of reconciliation and restoration of your soul.

Never let Go of your hope!  Jesus is the reason for your hope!

Hang in there folks!  All will be well again!

Our faith and hope in God, our health, our family, and our job. Food, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer and cleaning products. The outdoors. The medical profession. Supermarket workers. We will not take for granted our daily blessings of God!

A song for this season

2019-2020 has been some of the most challenging times of my life.  To add to the multiple trials that I’m going through right now, here comes a new concern, a virus which has caused the shutdown of normal daily life activities for millions of people.  I’m human and I do have my limits on how much stress I can take, and God knows that too.  God has been sending me so much help throughout my situations.  One thing He has really emphasized to me is that I should PUT MY TRUST IN HIM no matter what!!!

Please read the words of the following 1960’s song by Bill Gaither which was written when he was very sick and had other problems going on in his life.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives

This is a very intimate time with our Father God because we so need to feel His presence.  We need to say this to Jesus, “Precious Lord take my hand.”  The creator will not abandon His children.  He is a good Father. I personally will keep focused on all the good that I have ever learned about my God.  I will keep focused on the promises of God from His Holy Word.  I will meditate on all the many past trials He has bought me through. I will pray and study my bible.  I also need to listen to my favorite gospel music.  Music is a gift from God.  Praise God in the fire and He will surely help you in the flood!

May the LORD cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace.’ Numbers 6:24,25  (In Jesus name…amen)

The Coronavirus & The Worlds Troubles

The Bible Is God’s Words to Help You Through Anything You May Go Through And For EVERY Situation!!

2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

Never in the history of this country and the world has things been so contaminated and extremely dangerous to the point that places on a large scale need to be shut down globally.  So much is going on in this world with no cures…no treatments…no weather and globing warming changing abilities…no way to stop people from shooting others and so on.

People can’t even go to their places of worship today.  What will happening with evangelism, which is so important right now?  The only way to accomplish this now is to do it through social media…but does everyone have access to a computer?

From all appearances it looks like things in the world are out of control…but I can guarantee you that things are right on schedule with Gods very own predictions from the bible about what will happen in the last days.

Now what do we do?

  1. This is a time for personal faith refection.  What is your relationship like with your maker/creator?  Plenty of time to read, study and examine all materials to see what God is saying or if God is even real for some people.  Time to study and pray more so you can get in a better or good place with the creator.
  2. Call up friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances and make sure they have an opportunity to hear something spiritual from you in case they have inquiries about your faith.
  3. Pray to God for mercy and follow the Holy Spirit’s lead on what you should even be praying now.  The Holy Spirit knows what to pray much better than you.
  4. Lean not on your own understanding of present circumstances and events.
  5. Don’t look around for supernatural signs or prophetic messages.  The bible has all the info you need for all times and seasons.
  6. Fear not!  A command from God Himself.
  7. Worship God like you never have before.  This will bring you so much peace and you need that right now.
  8. Encourage each other in the Lord.   Use a phone or text.
  9. Cry out to God He WILL hear you, help you and comfort you!
  10. Pray in Jesus name.  Be of good courage, wait and be still.  Trust God!

Mathew 24:3-8 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Psalms 23:4   Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Matthew 24:36,44 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,  but the Father only.  Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

The earth…like a woman in labor may be at this point… fully dilated.  Don’t get ready but be ready! Get right with the Lord…. not much time left!  Jesus is coming very soon!

Still Worried? Focus on Jesus!

Fear not!!!! 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Did Mr. Lipton make the right choice for his soul? Where is he today?

Louis James Lipton died yesterday.  He was a famous American writer, lyricist, actor, and dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City.  He made the following remark about his life that grieved me:

Tom Cruise asked James Lipton – “If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

(James Lipton) answered – “You see Jim, you were wrong, I exist, but you may come in anyway”

Hebrew 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

There is no second chance after you die.  Nobody gets a free pass without the blood of Jesus covering them.

Tornados last night, coronavirus knocking at our doors, more mass killings last week….this ain’t no joke!  If your soul is right with God, you will be good regardless of what goes on.  But if you are not right with God, you are in big trouble eternally.  Please share the good news of Jesus Christ with your family, friends and strangers….DO IT NOW!  Time is not on anyone’s side these days!
