Could the devil be messin’ with your mind?

the mind

Ephesians 4:23-24 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,  and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.…

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Is the devil trying to mess with your head?  The answer to the question is yes!!!!  Big time!!!

Why? Because…

  1. He wants to make you just like him.
  2. He wants to keep you separated from God if you’re a non Christian. If you’re a Christian he wants to keep you defeated and sinful.
  3. He wants to make your life a living hell!!!
  4. He wants you to worship him and not God.
  5. He’s jealous of you because God loves you so much and will never do for him what He’s promised to do for you and that is to adopt you and make you His child.  We will also be higher than the angels!

Our new life in Jesus Christ  started with our “mind” as per the scriptures above.  We had a big turnaround (renewal) in our mind.  We used to follow after the devil but now… we refuse to submit to his power over our lives. After receiving Jesus as our Lord Savior…We go from being a child of the devil to being a child of God.   Our mind now believes the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our heart has softened and we are very remorseful for all the wrong we’ve done.   We’ve made up in our mind to change the direction of our lives.  This is a choice that we’ve freely made.

In that moment of time your mindset has been changed to wanting to be like Jesus.  You want to be holy…you want to serve God…you want to listen and obey the Holy Spirit who tapped into your mind to get you to follow Jesus….but….there is someone else who was the first one to speak to your mind the moment life was breathed into your little embryo body and that was the devil. He had control over you!  He had your mind until you made a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will (This is what the devil does with those who are not Christians…Scary I know!  He doesn’t take them physically by the hand…he messes with their ….yup you got it…mind!)

Although he doesn’t own your mind anymore since you repented and now believe in Jesus…it hasn’t stopped him from bugging your mind with improper things. You want to do the right thing all the time but your mind is constantly being bombarded. There is a battle going on in your mind.  That’s the devils job…to destroy you and he influences your very own thoughts.  Forget the demonic being in the bright red suit with the horn and pitch fork…this bad evil being can affect our thinking in a very sly way!

I’m blogging this information to you to give you the heads up to his tricks and to where the real battle is.  Many people are scared to be in a dark spooky room…scared of zombies and the paranormal…but I’m here to tell you to be concerned about what thoughts enter your mind!!!

My simple solution to the battle of your mind is to keep your mind on Jesus Christ….all day and night!  365 day a year!   This means… as much as humanly possible keep thinking Jesus.  Yes you need to work and interact with others.  You do need to enjoy your life and do life activities….but in all you do… be Christ minded and stay prayed up and bible studied up.  Don’t leave any gaps in your mind.  Stay spiritual alert in every area of your life and at all times.  The more that you are…”walking with the Lord”…the less the devil is able to affect your thoughts and behavior.  He is very sneaky, subtle, cunning and very effective in how he can get you to veer off Gods course for your life.

2 Timothy 1:7   For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. The devil tries to CONVINCE you that wrong is right.  He does this in very sneaky and subtle ways.   When he does this you may not even notice that you are doing something that displeases God.

There is a GREAT THING  God  has done for His children.  He has put the Holy Spirit in us to help us to do right and be like Jesus.  He is in us doing a great job of letting us know when we fall short.  The Holy Spirit will let us know when this life important information…but the problem is… are we listening to Him?

the mind 5

I’ll put myself out there and tell you one of my problems so you get an idea.  When I shop…I rarely have an ear open to the Holy Spirit. I want to buy what I want to buy like handbags and jewelry.    I have tried to do better over the years but I’m still struggling with shopping.   Also…I struggle with what I know is good to eat.  At one point a few years ago I was 255lbs.  I have lost most of my extra weight but I didn’t listen to the Holy Spirit at all when it came to food and I still struggle with this one.   When the Holy Spirit tries to tell me about this two issues…I ignore Him a lot.  Don’t judge me …I lost over 90lbs and I don’t own a real Louie Vuitton!  God’s still working on me LOL!

Romans 8:5-6 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

This is why we should submit ourselves to the Lord completely.  We should pray, know Gods word, obey God and repent when we sin.  We should have on the whole amour of God as the bible says.  And his is my best advice…we should love Jesus like crazy!!  When you love Him so much you’ll want to please Him in every way.

Things we can do to have a spiritually healthy mind:

  1. We should understand who God is which is understanding the Holiness God. We should be holy because He is holy.
  2. We should not fear the devil.   Because of Jesus the devil has already been defeated and has no power over us but can mess with our mind.
  3. We should not have unconfessed sin in our lives especially unforgivness!
  4. We should spend a good amount of time worshipping God and thanking Him for every blessing we’ve received from Him.
  5. We should remember that the Holy Spirit lives in those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. But we have to keep in touch with the Holy Spirit who lives in us.   We need to listen to Him when He’s trying to speak to our minds to instruct us.
  6. We should have faith!!  The devils arrows he aims at us can be extinguished…thank God!
  7. We should submit ourselves to the Lord completely.
  8. We should keep spiritually clean.
  9. We should love God with all of our heart, mind and soul.   Desire always to please Him.
  10. We should never never never never ever let our guard down for a second. Your mind…your thoughts…your soul is who you are. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit. Don’t let the devil in there!!!

Our minds were renewed when we received Jesus Christ as our Savior…but sometimes we need to recommit ourselves and renew our minds and get ourselves going in the right direction again when we have backsliddened.  The Holy Spirit will let you know when you’re not living a holy life.  If you find you’re off the mark then you know the devil has messed with your mind.   You have entertained his suggestions and allowed him to affect your will.  When you realize this…repent…ask Jesus to forgive you and get yourself into a right place again with God your Father.

Take note on how your mind was tempted so you can try not to go down that road again.

The devil is messin’ with everyone’s head big time!!!!  People are doing the most evil and vilest acts and the world has taken notice of this and is having to comprehend it and deal with it.  Even “Christians” are acting up.  So this blog today is a warning to watch out for your…..mind!  Be very careful about what goes into your mind and in what you think about!  If you saw a demonic spirit running after you…you would defend yourself or try to get away.  But I ask you….what are you doing to defend yourself against these evil demonic spirits trying to attack your mind and that of your children?

Be on guard!…watch out!…be discerning!…be wise!  There is a book that can positively help you 100% with the devil’s battle for control over your mind and that is the Holy Bible.  It’s packed with all the information you need.  There is also a helper that can positively help you 100% to stay on track if you listen to Him and let Him help you….He’s the Holy Spirit.  There is a person who gave His life so that you can have a life of peace of mind and His name is Jesus.

Feeling a little scared these days?

Genesis 3:17-21

17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow     you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”

20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.

2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Evil came into this world one day hundreds of years ago.  There is one man to blame for this Adam…but after him we are all guilty (sinful).  There is one main being to blame for ALL the evil…. Lucifer AKA satan !  Also his helpers the demons. They can get people to do the most vilest things imaginable.  Any form of illness is because of the day Adam ate the fruit and satan became the god of this world and all of our DNA’s became…faulty.

There is only one answer for all of this mess…….JESUS CHRIST….PERIOD!!!

Read my blog  “Why the heck all this suffering”  for understanding …suffering.

(P.S.With all the bad news lately….Don’t fear or stress yourself out.  Those who keep their mind on Jesus will have perfect peace.  Jesus promised this! )

God bless you and have a prayerful day!

me and Jesus

Yes…That’s me hugging this symbolic statue of Jesus praying at the garden of Gethsemane… but I took this photo to make a point on today’s blog. I tell you though I really feel like this…in my heart, mind and soul .

I was listening to R.C.Sproul the other day and he had on his radio program a Muslim who converted to Christianity.  He was explaining that Muslims don’t believe in a god in three persons and they don’t consider god as a father.  They respect their god but they don’t have an intimate relationship him.  Other religions who worship a monotheistic god also don’t have that kind of relationship with their god.

We Christians worship our God who is one God in three distinct persons… who is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Because of God’s unique character…we Christians are able to have the experience of having a very intimate relationship with Him.

I was at a place on Long Island called Our Lady of the Island in Manorville NY where my son took the picture you see at the top of this blog.  My mother in law was Catholic and she took us to visit this beautiful place many years ago and we still visit there today.  The landscape in the summer is unbelievably beautiful and peaceful.  So as we drove around to the different displays there…I wanted to take that picture with the Jesus in the outdoor display.  I know… I know it’s not really Him…but I just felt like I wanted to take that photo so I can….you guessed it… put it on my blog!  So… this is the scripture that I want to focus on:

me and Jesus 2

John 13:23-25   Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.

25 He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?

In this scripture it is believed John the apostle was the one whom Jesus loved because there were other scriptural references to him being the one Jesus was referring to.  Why did Jesus single John out?…I don’t know…but I can tell you that Jesus loves all of us like that!  We can all lean on Jesus like that spiritually by the power of the Holy Spirit.  It’s amazing that our God is so special that He is one God containing 3 distinct persons within Him and we can have a very deep and personal relationship with all three persons.  That God even lets us get that close and personal with Him is a wonder in itself.  That our God adopted us and made us His own children to rule and reign with Him forever is mind blowing!!

Me and jesus 1

As powerful and mighty as our God is…He allows me to be very personal with Him.  Do we take advantage of that?  I can tell you this about me….I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER GOD since I became a committed Christian!!!  I can’t get enough of Him!  For the first 10 years of my relationship with Him a talked with Him for about8 hour a day every day.  Ask my husband and kids.  I prayed a lot.  I wanted to know everything about Him…God talked back to me…He showed me visions and has shown me so much love.  Why would I not want to throw myself at His feet?

This is the scripture that opened my eyes and caused me to run after God:

1 Corintians 2:10-11 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.…

When I read that the Holy Spirit knows the deep things of God…I was like…”Holy Spirit tell me as much as this human girl can stand!!!”  I bugged the Holy Spirit so much to tell me what He knew and to help me to speak with my God…and He did!  I knew The Holy Spirit was the wonderful way for me to connect with my God.  I also had to know God’s word so the enemy could not trick me with false visions and words.  I say his because it’s very important and the enemy did try to intervene.

Why would God say He so loved the world and then would not want to communicate with us?  He loves me…He loves you and He wants to talk to us and have a relationship with us!

me and jesus 4

I am obsessed with God!!  I’m so in love with Jesus!  I yearn like mad for the presence of the Holy Spirit!!!

Why?  There is a song that Cee Cee Winans sings and these are the words and a link to the song:

Alabaster Box

Verse

The room grew still
As she made her way to Jesus
She stumbles through the tears that made her blind
She felt such pain
Some spoke in anger
Heard folks whisper
There’s no place here for her kind
Still on she came
Through the shame that flushed her face
Until at last, she knelt before his feet
And though she spoke no words
Everything she said was heard
As she poured her love for the Master
From her box of alabaster

Refrain

And I’ve come to pour
My praise on Him
Like oil from Mary’s alabaster box
Don’t be angry if I wash his feet with my tears
And I dry them with my hair
You weren’t there the night He found me
You did not feel what I felt
When he wrapped his love all around me and
You don’t know the cost of the oil
In my alabaster box

Verse

I can’t forget the way life used to be
I was a prisoner to the sin that had me bound
And I spent my days
Poured my life without measure
Into a little treasure box
I’d thought I’d found
Until the day when Jesus came to me
And healed my soul
With the wonder of His touch
So now I’m giving back to Him
All the praise He’s worthy of
I’ve been forgiven
And that’s why
I love Him so much

Refrain

And I’ve come to pour
My praise on Him
Like oil from Mary’s alabaster box
Don’t be angry if I wash his feet with my tears
And I dry them with my hair
You weren’t there the night He found me
You did not feel what I felt
When he wrapped his love all around me and
You don’t know the cost of the oil
In my alabaster box

Jesus has done so much for me but the thing that touches me the most beside the number one thing of my salvation is that… God loves me for me.  I don’t have to try to impress Him.  He just loves me so much and I know and really feel His love for me!  Sometime I just cry out of the blue because of this.  I love my husband and I love my kids and granddaughter…but I’m obsessed with my Father God and He’s just fine with my obsession with Him.   I will be this passionate about God until the day He calls me home to be with Him.  Then my obsession will end and my procession will begin because the groom will meet His bride.

Saints of God…we should feel like David did……..As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. (Psalms 42:1)

As I stated in the beginning of this blog…other people have monotheistic gods that you can’t have a relationship with…but we have a very unique God that has an unusual characteristic that allows us to interact with Him intimately. How great is that?  How great is He? This is a gift that God has given us…let us open our gift and enjoy Him and worship Him.

Why the heck all this suffering?

suffering cancer

There are areas of suffering that are so unexplainable.  It takes “supernatualness” to be able to understand suffering.  God see’s everything that goes on this earth…good and evil.  He’s see’s every evil act done publicly and those done in secret.  So you might have asked yourself…how can God look upon a person being severely abused or tortured or at a horrific catastrophic event where hundreds or thousands of people are killed?

Well I can tell you for sure….it takes a “supernatural being” to be able to handle seeing severe suffering.  This is why we humans are so perplexed about this subject.  We are NOT supernatural so things like that greatly affects us.  We cannot possibly understand suffering.  All we can do is hold on to the words in the bible and know that the power of the Holy Spirit can bring us the grace and comfort that we need to hold it together during difficult times.  We are NOT going to make sense of it.  This seemingly perplexing thing is something about God that people don’t understand.   Some people even get really mad at God because they think He’s turned a blind eye to human suffering.

suffering why does God allow

God hasn’t done that.    He has a plan.  He has a way out.  He promised it would be worth it in the end for those who have chosen to receive His Son Jesus Christ and for those who have graciously accepted taking up the cross (denying themselves) and have endured in their suffering.  It’s God’s way and either you can accept it or reject it…deny it…or fight it.  It’s His world!  He created us and He made the rules.

1Peter 4:12-13 Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.(MSG)

I have suffered a great deal in my life and I’ve recently been through a lot suffering and have come to some conclusions about this subject….

1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

My suffering has done a lot for me spiritually.

  1.  I’m a gospel singer and I select songs that minister to people. When I sing…everything I’ve gone through and all the times God saw me through a difficult situation comes through me through that song. I get very emotional when I sing. My signature song is His eye is on the sparrow. I sing that from the depths of my heart. Because of my suffering….this song and music means so much to me.  If not for my suffering, my music ministry would not be the same.
  2. My suffering has shown me God, it’s revealed Jesus to me in ways I could have never experienced and it has allowed the Holy Spirit to minister comfort and miracles to me personally.
  3. It has taught me how to pray, how to wait on God and trust Him no matter what.
  4. It has allowed me to see God at work in my life and has allowed me to store my past rescues up for future encouragement. ( Remembering how God brought you out of troubles in the past… will help you get through present troubles.)
  5. Suffering is never easy… but it has made me a stronger Christian.
  6. Suffering keeps Jesus very near to me and I have to keep very close to Him for my support and peace of mind.
  7. Suffering helps me to know the truth of Gods word.  My Suffering is spiritually maturing me.  Psalms 119:66-67 Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.  67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Suffering is a natural part of human life and everyone will suffer at some point in their life.  As we get older our bodies will start to fail us.  Eyes start to go and we will need glasses, arthritis starts to set in, and, emotional, financial difficulties happens.  Our husband or wife may die and on and on.  I think things get worse for a reason.  The reason is the more challenging  life becomes…the better heaven looks.   Knowing that we will have a happy, pain-free,and no more sorrows excitants…sounds wonderful!!!  If we didn’t face a life of challenges and begin to age….I don’t we would understand that this place is really not the end all and we may not look forward to our new eternal life with our Father God.

suffering filler

You have to take suffering for what it is.  What is it?  It’s what God has designed to perfect us and to make us into what He wants us to be here on earth resulting in how we will be in heaven.  I keep my mind on this thought and not on trying to understand God’s philosophy for His type of perfecting us.  It’s strange to us but not to God.  If I stray from His word on this subject and try to gain my own understanding… I will become disillusioned with my faith in God and I will doubt and get angry at the way I think He’s treating me.  I always say to myself…It’s His way… it’s His world and I’m His creation.  I need to stay within His program and not my own idea’s and thoughts.

Everything God does for me is out of His love for me…even my suffering.  If crucified Jesus suffered…if beheaded John the Baptist who was doing a great work for God suffered…If beaten up Paul and all the harassed disciples who also did great work for the Lord and suffered horrible deaths had to suffer….then what makes me think I won’t be required to suffer as I live for and serve the master.  Can I get an Amen here?

God made us promises about what He will do for us if we endure suffering:

GOD PROMISED – 1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him.

The part “no human mind has conceived” Sends chills through me!!!  We can’t even imagine how great our eternal life will be!  All suffering is temporary!!!  Before you know it… you will have a supernatural awesome life.  Keep this in your mind when you are faced with great difficulty in your life.

Here are some of the most encouraging scriptures…….

GOD PROMISED –  Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

JESUS SAID – John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

JESUS SAID – Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

So what do I know about suffering?  That is normal…there is help… that there is… or will be a way out of your suffering.   There is also a BIG reward for your suffering.  I KNOW this life is hard right now!  I know suffering is a hard pill to swallow.  I know Jesus will be there for you every step of the way and that we should trust Him no matter what the circumstance.  God has been good to us in our lives and we are so thankful.  We should be thankful for the rough times too because they have a purpose.

Job said to his wife…..Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.  (Job 2:10)

(Sidebar here about some types of suffering….Sometimes God uses suffering to correct us but He will let you know about that when you seek Him for the cause of your suffering and He will give you a way out after your repentance.  This is done out of His love for you.  This is not your everyday suffering and you should not look for this to be the answer for all your suffering. Hebrews 12:6-8 )

suffering pain

Over the past 62 years of my life… I have suffered a great deal from all kinds of things.  I would say 60% would be physical/illness and 40% other stuff.  In the past few years I can look back and see the benefits of my suffering.  It has done something inside of my spiritman that I just can’t describe to you.  It’s a supernatural work of God and only He knows how to bring this type of outcome out of  my pain and suffering.  A sports coach or any kind of coach or trainer knows just the right strategy and type of exercises to make his student a pro.  Well God knows the right things to make us into what He wants us to be and what He wants to produce in our lives.  God wants us to endure and be faithful until our earthly end.

Romans 5:3 (NLT) We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

Another thing about suffering is that I trust God in everything  in my life.  I know that He knows what’s going on with me and He’s not going to let go of me.  I know that He can sometimes be very silent during hard times when we feel we need Him the most…but… I KNOW HE IS NEAR because His word…the bible says He is!!!   So even if I don’t feel Him…I just know He is there!!  He’s not a liar!!! I know He will and does help me.  I sit and wait.  Yes sometimes I might cry because the trial or suffering is very hard…but I trust Him.  Every hard trial I’ve gone though and am going through…His grace is there every second of every day!  If not…I could not still be positive in writing this blog and still Loving Jesus the way I do after all I’ve been through.
1 Corintians4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

suffering crying

Even if all earthly things fail and I’m in the shadows of death…I know the Holy Spirit is in me and will help me to cross over into my eternal wonderful life with God. I win if I stay and I win big if I go.   I feel very blessed that I’m God’s child.

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

How I chose to deal with my present suffering is up to me.  I can deal with it by walking with the Lord, holding His hand and keeping my eyes on Jesus….or I can be doubtful, fearful and feel hopeless.  I know that life is hard sometimes…I’m living that…but I also know the miracle and supernatural ability of God to sustain me and others who have gone through and are going through extreme difficult circumstances, hard trials and suffering.  It’s a miracle because through loss and grief….pain and suffering…disappointments and failures…we still believe that God is great and God is good!  How is that possible?  Why aren’t we kicking God to the curb?  Because the bible is true and God is Good, Jesus has power and the Holy Spirit is attached to us to help us and it’s all….Supernatual!  It’s a fact! Period!!!!

Dear God…there are so many people who have suffered and who are suffering.  There is probably someone crying as they are reading this blog.  Please comfort them and send them your peace.  Please help them to deal with their suffering and help them to study and receive the help that they need from your word the Holy Bible. Please assure them of your supernatural ability to sustain them with your power.  Help them to keep their eyes on you and trust you.  Heal them…help them, bless them and answer their prayers according to your will.  I thank you for getting them through their suffering thus far and I thank you so much for all present and future answered prayers.  All the praise and glory belongs to you oh Lord.  We love you!  I ask these things in Jesus name…Amen.

God is so….approachable

As Great as God is…As Holy as He is….In His nature as Spirit as He is….He is so approachable!!!.  I was communicating with Him this morning and I’m so overwhelmed that I can just talk to Him ANYTIME I want to!!!  I thank God that He loves me so much.  I thank God for the Holy Spirit living in me.  I thank God for Jesus my intercessor and my friend!

God is so approachable and I’m taking full advantage of that!

Hebrews 4:16  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

SEEMINGLY HAPPY…BUT REALLY….

SEEMINGLY HAPPY...BUT REALLY... SO VERY SAD

SO VERY SAD

I was so sadden this morning to learn that a very funny comedian and talented actor had taken his own life.  How could someone who was so funny on the outside… be so sad on the inside?  I wish I could have talked to Robin and shared with him some good news.

When I meet people I don’t know…they look OK on the outside….but I wonder what’s going on in their insides.  I wonder if their soul is saved.  Have they made a decision for Jesus Christ?

People can look one way on the outside and feel another way on the inside.  Robin Williams seemed to have it all…money, fame, and talent but one thing he didn’t have was hope and peace.

Millions of people are like that.  Some other notables who had no peace were Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston , Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Don Cornelius, Donny Hathaway, Ernest Hemingway,Freddie Prinze , Herve`Villechaize(Fantasy Island) to name a few and the list of regular everyday people who had no peace and lost their lives to hopelessness is in the millions.

I was that person who had no hope or peace… so I know what I’m talking about!!!  I was completely healed in 1983!  There is Hope and there is peace available and the only person I know who can give it is Jesus Christ.  Let’s look around and see who we can share this good news with.  Let’s pray for the famous and share with those who cross our paths.

If you’re the one who has no peace or hope and are suicidal right this minute….call 911, go to an emergency room, mental health facility right away for your safety.  Please!!  Emergency help is available!

Hebrews 4

Hebrews 4:14-16

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,  Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

***********that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need************

I read this today and I was reminded to….trust God!!!

I must let God know that I completely believe in His ability to take care of me!!

I must be like the woman with the issue of blood reaching out for Jesus help because she truly believed in her heart and mind that Jesus could and would heal her.

I am speaking to someone today…you have been asking God for something and He is telling me to tell you…don’t just ask but…..BELIEVE that He can do it!!!

Faith moves the heart of God.

Pray to God…asking in JESUS name as the Lord has directed us to do.

Be confident…God’s grace is there for you!

God’s word is true!!!

Thinking about my God

Thinking about God best

Last week I was thinking about God creating me.  God desired to create human beings.  When He thought about creating us He knew that we would eventually be evil because He knew if He gave us free will we would act out. Evil was not a mistake and it’s real.   So God already knew He would have to have a plan in place  that would put us right with Him.  Jesus wasn’t an… uh oh!…they need a savior or here I come to save the day kinda thing.  Jesus was their plan all along.

So this is what really touched my heart.  That God Himself would save us.  Jesus and the Father are one….the Holy Spirit is God and they have been with this created world from the beginning.  And they had a plan to…make us and save us!!!!

Genesis 1:1 Says… In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 3:16 Says…For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So God created a world that He SO LOVED!  I’m so loved….you’re so loved!

Then God Himself fixed the divide that separated humans from Himself.  One member of the trinity would sacrifice Himself and one member of the trinity would be present on earth to inhabit and help people.  This was all done why?   Because  God so loved  the world He created.

We are different from all of God’s other created beings because we were made in His image and we are His children.  We are different because we have …..Suffered!  The rewards will be great for us as stated in the book of Revelation Chapter 2.

Our purpose is not to make it big here on earth… but to make it big there….in Heaven with God our Father.  It’s all about Him.  Our whole lives are about our relationship with God.  I belong to….God!  He loves me so!   He even put the Holy Spirit in my human body.  He had a plan to take care of me.  I feel like I need to let go of my attachment to this world. One day it will let go of me and I’ll be in with God…but right now…I’m just feeling…  that I want to focus on my God so much more.

I’m trying hard to walk with God all day every day.  I’m going to hold on to His grace for dear life until that grace carries me right up to God’s loving arms.

Message for today 8/4/14

These are very strange and difficult times here on earth right now.  I feel to share that we must turn inward in order to shine outward.  We who are Christians have the Holy Spirit living in us.  This is God’s unique way that He planned to help us, guide us and comfort us 24/7.  This is a huge blessing!  I just wrote my last blog about the Holiness of God because I feel it’s very important to really know who God is to bolster your faith and have hope.

God is in control of this universe …He knows all about the event’s of late and has lots of supernatural grace available for you to endure every trial that might come your way!  We are not to fear but we should turn inward to our paraclete, our helper.  The Holy Spirit is here with us. I’m going through trials also and I feel the help/grace of God in a powerful way.   My last few blogs have come from the inner strength and help I feel coming from the Lord…and I’ve shared this info with you all.

I hear God saying…”children turn to me.….children walk with me….no matter what happens…I will never leave you.  Let me hold your hand and walk  you through your trials.”

We may have to go through some hard times….but we have a helper…The Holy Spirit is here!

Hold on…keep your eyes on the Lord.  Life goes by fast and one day you will NEVER SUFFER ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!  Hang in there!  Fear not!  Let go of this world and hold on to Jesus!

Don’t try to understand everything….but bolster up your relationship with God and walk with Him….today.  Don’t wait until you’re in some kind of trouble….call on Him now and praise Him just because He’s God.
