I feel someone needs this today so I’m reposting this blog. May the Lord be your help and peace of mind today! In Jesus name. So be it.

it is well best

I’m missing many body parts.  I’m missing ovaries, uterus, 1 breast, many teeth and some of my hair.  I pray that I can keep what’s left… LOL! Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

The rest of me that’s left is wrinkling, shrinking, drying out and not functioning properly.  I must sound like a hot mess to you…but I tell you this….this outward wo-man might be decaying, but my inner man is being renewed every day!  Thank God for the daily updating of my spirit!!!

2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

I’ve suffered with so many physical ailments including the big C…cancer.  I’m still suffering right now physically from other illnesses.  Some days are extremely difficult for me…but I tell you one…

What church do you attend?

church-is-people

We are the Church of Jesus Christ

Our answer should be…I am the church!  All of us body of believers are the church.

Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The meaning of the church in the Greek is the whole body of Christian believers. It could also mean the Christian community.

I believe the church is God’s children as a group… who do also assemble themselves to worship God.

In my heart and mind this is what the church of Jesus Christ looks like to me:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

We belong to Jesus Christ and He will come back and take us all….as a group! We are His bride…we are the church.

As His church we were all given instructions and we all have a job to do:church 3

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19″Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Ever since I became a committed Christian in 1984 over 30 years ago…all I have thought about is souls. I was so happy about what God did in my heart and how Jesus put me right with God. I was so happy to be rid of my original sin and for the first time in my life I felt clean inside. I was so happy to know that I was going to heaven that I wanted to shout it from the roof tops. But instead I have tried to talk about Jesus to whoever I meet and all of my family. I have cried buckets of tears for souls. I feel why should I just get my ticket to heaven, be happy about it and sit back and watch others be destined for hell. Everyday all day I try to figure out a way to share my faith…..I am the church after all this is my job!!!

I have attended and been a member of many places of worship. For me…at this point in my life…I realize that I am the church and I need to be about my Fathers business of making disciples. I’ve learned a lot from being in places of worship but things in this world have shifted and not in a good way. Every morning I listen to the news for a few moments and it’s always breaking news of some tragedy. Things are heating up and many are perishing in group disasters and accidents. My first thought is what about their souls!!!!  Were they ready to met their maker?

church 2

I have found a place to worship with fellow believers …but I need to be out there looking for souls. I need to be speaking up and standing up for truth. I am a soldier in Gods army…I am the church. Jesus is the head of the church and He has given me orders and I intend to carry them out. Psalms 40:8 I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”

I look around at this world and I use to think I wanted the money, fame and fortune. But over time I have come to my senses. At this age of 63 years old my focus has shifted to be all about Jesus. I still enjoy family, fun and I still laugh…but my main focus is God’s will for my life which God has expressly laid out in the bible. I am the church! Jesus has work for me to accomplish for Him and then He will come back for all of us…His church and He’ll take all of us home.

I need for my brothers and sisters in Christ to really think about who we really are. We are not a denomination…we may belong to one though. We are the church and we have been called out by Jesus Christ himself and have been told to separate ourselves from this world. We are told to go out and help save others. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. (Matthew 9:37) Why should we do this? Because if we’re not planting, sowing and reaping it could mean the eternal death of a person’s soul. But there is a way for them to escape this.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Eternal death is waiting for our loved ones, family, friends and strangers. This is why we must work hard in the vineyard while there is daylight.

Not even the gates of hell can stop us from snatching souls away from eternal damnation!! We the church can rescue people like we were rescued. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (Matthew 16:18)

Jesus has the fullness of God in Him and Jesus is the head over us the church. We have the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us and we are anointed to do the Lords work. Be active in your place of worship and be active out in the street, your home, your community and on your job. You’ve been activated for service when you accepted Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior. God has His will for your life and that is to be the church for His Son who sacrificed His life for us. He didn’t sacrifice His life for a denomination…He sacrificed His life personally for you….His bride…His church.

In the Old Testament God dwelled in a tabernacle which was built to hold presence and His glory. But after Jesus death and resurrection….we were given a gift of the Holy Spirit and when we became believers and were born again and the Holy Spirits now lives inside of us. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19)

church 4

We are unique…we are inhabited by the Holy Spirit of God! We are different. Our minds have been renewed and we have a united purpose as the church of God. To worship God, to put Him first and to make disciples. We are these unique humans beings called the church. A whole group of believers in Jesus Christ. When we start seeing ourselves as a whole group and not separate entities we will begin to work together to advance the kingdom of God down here on earth. United we stand divided we fall and divided we fail.

It hurts when I have left a church and never hear from most of the past parishioners again. Why? Are we not the body of Christ his church? Does it matter where we worship? Does it matter that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and I may have left your church but not Jesus Christ. Aren’t we all still part of the vine?

Until we see ourselves as the church we will always be divided as a body of Jesus followers. What does the world (unbelievers) see when they look at us? Do they see a united church?

I love all my brothers and sister in Christ!!!!!

Father God….Thank you for creating us and thank you for adopting us into your family. Help us to understand that we are a family and we all are your children. Forgive us for the squabbling. Please help us to get more of you in us and get your mind on things. Help your word do its work in us so that we will be more obedient to your will. Help those who need to humble themselves under your authority so that their lights might shine much brighter. I pray for unity in the body. God the church needs help, direction and revival. Lord help me do my part for forgive me for any attitude I might have hidden in my heart. God…help the church…please! In Jesus name…Amen.

Mass Shootings…What can be done?

shooting

Another campus killing! An eye witness to the shootings told this story: The shooter asked his victims this question:…“Are you a Christian and if you are a Christian stand up?” And they would stand up and he shot them.

Mathew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.shooting 1

Standing up for Jesus! Are we ready to do that at the cost of our own lives? The world hates us because they hate Jesus. Our religious freedom had been being chipped away little by little. Now big chunks are being ripped away.

When we had opportunities to lead someone to Christ…did we?   Have we been salty enough? Have we been a light in a dark world? Have we been silent when we should have spoken up? Did we remember that God wanted to use us to make disciples? Did we plant any seeds? Did we protest when laws were changed that went against biblical teaching?  Were we quiet while they took prayer out of the schools? What about when they began to take down crosses, remove the ten commandments and nativities from public places?  Did we let them take our Christ out of our Christmas celebration and replace it with their Xmas?

What do we do now? It’s not too late to do something.  It’s not too late to be obedient to God. It’s not too late to humble ourselves, pray and seek the face of God. We still have time to stand up!

Start today by repenting if you’ve been a luke warm Christian.  Work on studying the bible and most important….walk closely with God all day every day!!!! This will spark up your spirit and you will be on fire for the Lord. You’ll shine for Jesus!

Come on saints….children of God….we can do this!!  Let’s make our Father God proud of us!

What is the Grace of God?

Grace of God

Grace of God 1

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Early in my walk with the Lord I was facing many difficult trials. When I first started asking God for help I would always come to the scripture verse above. It use to really make me a little mad because I needed some big miracles and all of my problems solved and I thought…all I can get was some….grace? That answer didn’t do it for me at that time. Years later after many trials and as I matured in the Lord…I began to learn how wonderful grace really was for me back then and how important it is in my life now.Grace of God 2

I’ve suffered from a rare illness that has affected my whole life. My mother in law gave me a book that influenced my outlook on going through a chronic illness. It’s called…Asked for Healing Given Grace. So what really is this grace? Most sermons I’ve heard on this subject says grace is unmerited favor and this is a true statement. But I need to have a more comprehensive understanding on what is grace.

The first biblical example of the grace of God is in the beginning of the bible with the very first humans Adam and Eve.

Grace of God 3

God’s Grace

Genesis 1:8-9 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

Genesis 1:24The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them

God could have wiped them out for their disobedience but He had mercy on their souls and extended His graciousness. He was so gentle with them. His presence came down to earth to talk to them and He even made them clothes. I think God showed them a great deal of grace and mercy.

Noah found also found grace. Genesis 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Mary Jesus mother found it too. Luke 1:30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.

God does not have to be gracious to anyone He doesn’t chose to. But He does extend mercy to all who want to be a part of His life through His Son Jesus Christ.

Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

I believe God is saying in this verse that His graciousness is His goodness and kindness. TV portrays gods as being mean or having an evil side because they have power. But that’s man view of a god. Our God is “KIND and GOOD”. (Let’s not forget that He’s just also.)  I don’t think we have the capability of understanding the degree of goodness God is. I think if we did we wouldn’t be as fearful and doubtful as we are at times.

Mark 10:28 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good–except God alone. Psalms 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good….

Jesus Christ declares God as being GOOD!

Exodus 34:6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,

God Himself declares Himself as being… compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Grace of God 5

The grace of God is how we have been saved from God’s wrath and it’s a gift to us. This gift was given to us through Jesus Christ death and resurrection.

So as you can see there is quite a lot involved in this “amazing grace”. God is a very complex supernatural being. He has made some knowledge about His attributes and character known to us…but He is still a mystery to us because of the complexity of His overall nature. I have written 7 blog on the holiness of God and I have to admit…after I wrote the last one I was a little…terrified getting a taste of knowing how powerful He is. After studying about His grace….I’m so glad I realize just how loving and gracious He is. For God SO LOVED the world….John 3:16.

There are words that come to my mind about the grace of God:

  1. Loving
  2. Merciful
  3. Graciousness
  4. A Savior
  5. Forgiveness
  6. Favor
  7. Compassion
  8. Faithful
  9. Caring
  10. Shepherd
  11. A covering
  12. Support
  13. Protector
  14. Sustainer
  15. Blessing

Grace is necessary for the human spirit’s survival!!  First of all my soul would have stayed spiritually dead after my death without Gods’ grace. I could not make it every second of every day without God’s grace because life is hard and full of trials. When I was living without God’s grace I was alone, suicidal and searching for meaning in my life. I was rotten inside in my own evilness and moral disobedience to the nature of God. I needed grace like a drug that could heal my sin sickness. Grace was that pill I swallowed to receive God’s gift of grace and healing for my soul.

When I found out that I had cancer…I looked for and received the grace of God and He gave me the support I needed to get through that very scary and difficult time.

Grace is God Himself!! It’s God and all of His POWER involved in our lives!!!  WHEN WE NEED GRACE…WE REALLY NEED GOD!!!!! Do you get it now? We need God! We need who He is! We are nothing without Him and we are nothing without His grace. You cannot take grace and put it in a little box because grace is attached to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They all contribute to this unique nature of God for overcoming power in our lives.

Grace of God 4

Trying to understand God’s grace or any of the other supernatural things about God is like trying to hold water in your hands without a cup. You know your hand is wet…you can feel the effects but you just can’t hold on to it. I try hard to hold onto the supernatualness of God but it slips away because of my humanity. But inside of me… my spiritman knows that these things are real and available to me. The bible reveals this truth by the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of me.

We may not totally comprehend the grace of God but we can glean enough to apply it to our minds and have peace in our souls. I know that we have this wonder gift of God to cover us all day every day. We are not without His mercy, help and love at all times. We are His Child!!!!! Feel secure in this today. Fear not and have peace in your mind. You have God’s amazing grace!

Glorifying God part two

Jesus glorified3

John 17:1-5 Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.Jesus glorified

When Jesus was on the earth he was a regular human person in a mortal body. He was not Glorified until He asked His Father and then something supernatural happened to Him. God the Father put Him in a special place of honor… a place of the highest esteem over all other beings having all power and Majesty. (It should be noted that Jesus had to give up this place of honor in order for Him to do what He did for us.)

Even with our limited understanding of the full knowledge of Gods power, we know glorified is something great. Jesus should be glorified in our lives and we should bring God glory with our lives. 1 Corinthians 10:3 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

When Jesus was on earth He did everything to glorify His Father in His own life and in His teaching, ministering and preaching. How can we do any less?

God is my Father and Jesus Christ is my Savior. I want people to see them exemplified in my life! I need to be set apart in my moral and spiritual character. In this way I will glorify my Father God.   I have a blessed spiritual life thanks to Jesus giving His life for me. He did this so by His sacrifice I could be saved and live a life pleasing to God.  1 Corinthians 6:20 for ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

In addition to this, by His departure from this life He was able to ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit to us. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us and helps us to be clean inside and live right so that we can glorify Christ. Ephesians 1:13 …..When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit

John 7:39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

So, you see…God has provided everything we need so that we can glorify Him in our lives.

Jesus bought God glory by His whole act of obedience in His ministry and personal sacrifice when He was here on earth. Jesus was given back His supernatural glory after He finished his earthly work. God bestowed on His Son the wonderful awesome Glory that can only come from God alone. No other being can ever give Glory besides God himself!!!

Why is this important to dwell on this?   We need to understand who we represent. We need to know how important it is to glorify Our God and His Son in our lives. If we don’t watch our own backs and humble ourselves, if we don’t lift up Jesus and glorify God’s name through our lives this might happen…Psalms 4:2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? This is the at that point repentance is needed so that we can again glorify God.

Jesus glorified 1

John 16:13-14  But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.

Others will see the glorified Christ in us and want Him for themselves. This is our purpose in our Christian life…to bring God glory.

John 17:25-26  “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

We are to be set apart from the world. Our bodies and our actions should exemplify Christ 24/7 even when we are alone. People should see the light of Jesus in us and we should shine revealing the glory of God in us. This will expose God to the world. The Holy Spirit lives in those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are Gods representatives!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Amen!

Glorifying God part one

glory of God 5

Before I start, I just want to say this first in relation to us and the Glory of God… Roman 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

We don’t even come close! We should all learn to know our place in the whole picture of our existence, and we should also understand our privilege that we have in being created and given a chance to be put right with the supreme being of this universe to the point of being able to be adopted into His family and be called His child. The fact is… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

NO ONE CAN TOUCH THE GLORY OF GOD!!!!!!! Don’t even think about it!  Lucifer did and look where it got him.  I’ll share why in my blog today and tomorrow. Unless you understand this about God…you just won’t get Him and you won’t understand….who you are!

1 Chronicles 16:25-29

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens. 27 Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place.

28 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength. 29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

Let’s start with what it means to Glorify God:

  1. To Show God’s glory to the world.
  2. Boasting about God.
  3. Giving God the honor and praise due Him because of who He is.
  4. To esteem His gloriousness.
  5. Magnifying Him for His greatness
  6. Expressing Gods’ importance publicly.
  7. To elevate the brilliance of God
  8. Exposing the splendor of God’s attributes
  9. To bring to people’s mind knowledge of God’s Excellence.
  10. Proclaiming the majesty of God.
  11. Heralding Gods’ superiority

If you’re under16 years of age you might put it like this:

  1. Yo,Ya betta recognize who ya dealing with man!
  2. Gods off the chain!
  3. Don’t play with the Almighty cause’ He has the juice! (All power)

glory of God 4

God should be glorified because He is the most powerful being in the entire universe!!! He should be glorified because of His Holiness and His greatness. To glorify Him is to put Him above anything else in this world and in our lives. Everyone we come into contact with needs to know that God is EVERTHING to us. We need to promote God at every possible opportunity.

Glorified is a place of elevated Supremeness. It’s having all power to the point of deserving the greatest respect. It’s a supernatural position in that the only person in that place can be God Himself and His only son whom God Himself glorified. Since there is no beginning to God and there is no one over Him.  So that makes Him number one and everyone else under Him far below. The fact that He is so far elevated over everything in the universe makes Him supreme and glorified from the shear difference in nature.   Glorified is having a perfect moral character and a perfect… never having ever sinned nature.

glory of God 3

Glorified is total goodness that sets you apart from everyone else to the point of you being looked upon in total awe. You are put on a pedestal and only you deserve to be there. It’s that you are so wise and have so many supernatural abilities that you are truly unique from everyone and everything else in the entire universe and that ever existed. Glorification is the purity that emanates from God’s being. All of the splendor and majesty and the fullness of His greatness exemplified in His overall image of who God is.

Just being able to create a human being, all plant life, animals and this universe brings God glory because who can really archive that kind of incredible feat?   Isaiah 43:7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

All of these words don’t even scratch the surface of the explanation of the glory of God. It’s because its “super” natural and we in our humanity are not capable of understanding or grasping the entire experience of His incredible glory.

glory of God 2

Glorifying God puts God is a place in our lives where He belongs which is far above all things. He is already there and has always been….but for the sake of humanity….this is what we should do….Glorify Him. We have to humble ourselves in order to do it because we are nowhere near God’s superiority, and we should know our place in His supremeness.

Jesus is the key to Glorifying God. Without Jesus there would be no way for this to be possible. Jesus came down to earth and opened doors that bought the light in this dark work and made glorifying God possible. Once the door has been open by Jesus then the Holy Spirit enters into our souls. The Holy Spirit is a flashlight in our mind to shine a light and illuminate God’s Glory in our spirit through supernatural means. The results of their work in our lives are made public when we Glorify God!!!

When I think of Gods supremacy, I get very excited. When I think of His Gloriousness I can hardly breathe. When I feel a small touch of His majesty and Shekinah Glory I almost pass out! When I see the miraculous things, He has done in my life and the lives of others I’m stunned beyond belief. I glorify Him and I tell others about this so that they can glorify my God too.

glory of God 1

Glorifying God is my fulltime job!!!!!!!!!!! It’s what I do when I’m alone and it’s what I do with my life and it’s what I do in front of others in every possible way as the Holy Spirit leads.

I feel when I finally get to heaven…..I don’t want to look back and see all the missed opportunities to show off my God. My brother Jesus didn’t hold back when He was here on earth.

When I first started blogging it seemed simple to just jot down a few of my ideas about my Lord and my God….But then I just felt like I wanted to brag about His goodness more and more. Yup….that is the whole thing in a nutshell….” BRAG ABOUT HIS GOODNESS”!!!!!!

This is a privilege that we humans have to glorify God this way (by our words and in our lives). Psalms 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long. He really doesn’t need us to boast of His glory because the whole earth, the sky, the universe and the heavens declares His glory.

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

It breaks my heart that this is one of my most popular blogs. This morning when I woke up I saw there were many people overnight that Googled…I want to kill myself God…and found their way to my blog.

Many people are becoming suicidal these days at an alarming rate. I pray for the sad hearts today. You never know that it could be someone in your family or a co-worker who is suffering. Many people who write me are suicidal Christians.

There was a time when I would have never shared this story about myself. But if it can help someone…… Lord have mercy…please.

This is my blog list of some of the searches that people did to find my blog today…so sad….

I am going to kill myself blog

Yup!…that’s what I use to think every day for many years from about 1962-1982!!  Thank God I’m still here and here’s my story:

I am going to share something today that the Lord told me yesterday to share with you.  It’s very very personal and I have not told this publicly in detail like this before.  It’s very hard for me to relive this and share this story.    I’m sure the Lord has His purpose for this and I pray that it will be a blessing to someone who needs to hear it.

For  the first 32 years of my life (I’m 60 years old now) I felt very unhappy and sad inside.  By the time I was 12 years old… all I thought about was that I was a mistake to have been born.   I hurt inside and I didn’t want to be here on this earth anymore.  My…

holiness of God 5

1 Samuel 2:2 “There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

I’ve blogged 5 times on the subject of the Holiness of God.  This is my 6th one.  I’m obsessed with it!!  Why? Because It’s who God is!  If you don’t understand His holiness….you really won’t understand the concept of our spiritual lives and who our Father God really is.

Let me put this another way….GOD AIN’T LIKE US!!!!holiness of God2

What was God like before humanity met God?  He was Holy and different from anyone in the universe.  God was NEVER born!  He was never bad/sinful/evil.  He was and has always been Holy and set apart from any other principalities or humans. He’s pure perfection!  So let’s get all of that out of the way.

Before humanity met God He was and still is on His throne and in all of His Glory, splendor and perfection. There are really no human words to explain His greatness or holiness.  We can understand it by looking at us and knowing He is nothing even close to us except He is a spirit and we have a spirit in us also.  We can’t see God because He is a spirit and we can’t even see our own spirit within us.  God doesn’t have skin or a human type form. (He can get one if He wanted to though…He’s God and can present Himself in any form He wants to!  Can I just say…”Jesus?” Virgin birth or the time He was a burning bush…Hello!) With this ability to transform Himself into anything He wants, it enables Him to interact easily and convienently with us humans.

He wants us to be holy because this is His nature and this should be our nature too. When we are holy we are able to really get into the deep things of God because of being sanctified.  Holiness is who God is and this is what Jesus is working out in us to be.  Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the ability that He gave us to have God’s Holy Spirit dwell in us… this gives us the opportunity to obtain…holiness.  We can’t seem to maintain this holiness though because of our sinful nature or flesh.  (That’s why we need the Holy Spirit helping us.)

holiness od God 4

1 Peter 1:16 Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

God doesn’t have this problem because He is holy ALL THE TIME.  This is what sets Him apart from everyone.  No one can ever be like Him except Jesus when He became man and that was because Jesus is God.

To understand the holiness of God you must:

    1.  Study the scriptures and learn about God.
    2.  Meditate and ponder on what you’ve learned.
    3. Listen to what the Holy Spirit is revealing to you about your own sinful nature.
    4. Think out of the box about God but don’t be unscriptural with it.  In other words, God is very unique and not your average everyday experience.
    5. You must be a Christian and believe in who God/Jesus and the Holy spirit is.
    6. Want to know more about God.
    7. Not be fearful of His supernaturalness. God is not going give you knowledge that you are afraid to know and experience.

Once you put into practice the things above, then you will start to see how wrenched your life would be without Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps you to become aware of your own sinfulness and how much you needed Jesus. You’ll notice how much your own flesh wants to do what it wants to do. When you think about God you will see how we are nothing like Him and that we need to be very close to Jesus so that we will be in Gods will. In other words our own inadequacies can reveal Gods holiness to us.  The more we see who we really are the more we see who God really is…. very very Holy.  We couldn’t even hold our heads up if it wasn’t for Jesus…and even then we better remain….HUMBLE!

The closer I come to understanding the holiness of God…

  1. The more I want to do right by Him.
  2. The more I love His purity and unique nature.
  3. The more respect I have for His power and authority.
  4. The more I fear His justice.
  5. The more I appreciate what Jesus did for me on that cross and for His constant intercession on my behalf.
  6. The more I know I need the Holy Spirit exposing my sins to me.
  7. The more Gods Glory and Majesty are magnified to me in the form of His holiness.

Gods Holiness is a mystery to us humans. It’s almost impossible to hold on to it in your mind because our brains capacity to analyze this information is just not within our reach. The bible and the Holy Spirit’s revelation of God’s direction for our lives is the only way for us to try to decipher even the tiniest drop of understanding enough for us act accordingly.

Do we want to be Holy? Nobody can even see God unless we are! Jesus Christ will present us faultless to God. Jesus keeps us from stumbling and making total fools of ourselves. He cleans us up when we’re spiritual dirty.

Psalms 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

You know …. If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Savior…you can talk bad about God and you’ll still be ok….you can curse  Jesus and you can still  live….but when you do those things to the Holy Spirit…you betta’ run and hide!!!. There is something about the Holiest nature of God that you just can’t mess with. You could lose your eternal life in heaven. (Hell is eternal too ya’ know!)

Who is God? God is love…God is just and God is Holy. Just because God is loving and Holy doesn’t mean that there won’t be hell to pay for rejecting His Son. His Holiness also make Him very just. God don’t play!!! He’s Holy! His holiness makes Him off the chain… to put it into today’s language. I’m sure there are other principalities and powers in the universe….but God is so set apart from any other being that He is untouchable and incomparable to anything past, present or future.

holiness of god 6

So this world…earth betta’ recognize the creator!!! The Church betta’ get their eyes on the creator! We betta’ recognize His holiness and bow down as low as we can and humble ourselves and recognize who He really is and not like what everyone has imagined Him to be like.

Until the Church…His adopted Children stop being narcissistic because many preachers/teachers has us focusing on our needs, our happiness and ourselves….we are not going to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit manifesting the Glory of God leading us to be as Holy as our wonderful God is. Just because you haven’t been exposed to or don’t understand the holiness of God is no excuse to not live right. The Holy Spirit lives in all true believers and I’m asking you to listen to that inner voice.   He will take what you know about the truth of God’s word and reveal it to you so that you can repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness and live that holy life.

Those who grab on to holiness will experience the joy of their salvation when God gives them a visitation of Himself exposing the results of their desire to live a holy and sanctified life.

Father God…please open our ears, our heart and our minds to the knowledge of your word about who you are. Please help us to receive all that your Holy Spirit can reveal to us about you. Lord we want to go deeper in you. I pray for those who are your children and are fearful of going deep in you. I pray for those who never even thought to go deeper in you. Revive us oh Lord I pray in Jesus name…amen.

Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

This is what I think of my God…..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFgE8d5GtJM
