Praying While Under Difficult Circumstances

Acts 7:59-60 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

The story of Stephen in the book of Acts is a horrifying true story of a wonderful dedicated man who was filled with grace and the Holy Spirit of God.  He was martyred for His faith in the true word of God.  Stephen was in the worst situation a person can face and that is imminent death.  This man with his last breaths of life prayed and called on the name of Jesus.  He prayed for himself…for God to receive him and he prayed for others and then died.  He prayed to the very end of his life.

In any situation we face in life our first thought should be to pray.  It does not have to be long…..let me repeat that…..it does not have to be long but fervent.  Fervent means very intense prayer with deep conviction and total sincerity of heart.

(Please note that when you are in your prayer closet for worship to the Lord this type of prayer can last hours. If you call a friend to chat you can talk very long, but if you called that friend because of a crisis you would talk firmly and to the point; this is that type of prayer I’m refering to here, fervant prayer.)

Here is a piece of advice that I believe will serve you well for the rest of your life here on earth…….

CALL ON JESUS FOR ANY AND ALL SITUATIONS….. TRIALS, SUDDEN TERROR, EMERGENCIES, NEEDS OR TEMPTATIONS YOU MAY EVER FACE!!!!!!!!

The bible saids to throw all your cares on Him and Stephen did this.  Stephens’s prayer was answered in a most amazing way.  No man can see God and live and It says Stephen saw God…..not a vision…..he saw God and Jesus siting by His side with the power of the Holy Spirit they swooped Stephens spirit right up to glory and ALL his pain and trouble was gone. Halleluia!!! Glory to God.

Hint: Stephen was a praying man full of the Holy Spirit before His situation. This is something to meditate on and copy what he did.

We all are going to face trying situations in our lives and some more than others and the best thing we can do for ourselves and it’s what God tell us in the bible…..is to pray all the time without stopping.  Our brother Jesus when He was a man did this.  He was facing a horrifying situation and He knew it would be unto death.  He prayed and prayed very intensely.

Someone reading this today might be facing a very difficult time in your life right now and I hope this blog  has helped you in some way.  You can always request prayer in the sidebar and always feel free to post your testimony of the victories God gives you.  It will encourage others.

Message for today:  Pray….Pray….Pray

When I Think of Home

1 Peter 2:11 Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. (NLT)

I am a born again believer, a Christian, a child of God and this earth is NOT my home. I’m happy to be alive and on this earth, but the biblical fact is I never was meant to stay here because a home is being prepared for me and it’s real and I’m going.

John 14:1-4 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

One of my favorite songs is Home, which is the song from the movie and play called The Wiz.

Every time I hear that song I think of my heavenly home and I smile. Heaven is where I started out. One day when I was in deep prayer God told me I started out as a thought in His mind and then He gave me life through my earthly mom and dad. For a child who grew up thinking I was a mistake because of a learning disability , God’s comment to me meant more than I could say. I cried and cried at the thought that I didn’t just happen to be here on earth, I was a planned pregnancy from my Father in heaven. No matter how we arrive on this planet, we were not an afterthought but planned from the heart of God. Halleluiah!!

Psalms 139: 13-17 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!

So you can see why in my heart I long for home. Someone who loves me so much is there and He’s planned for me to be there with Him one day. Many members of my family are there already. I have two brothers I’ve never seen. My brother Mervin Mckelvin who got to go very early at the age of 2 years old and my brother Jesus who I know because we share the same Spirit and I’ll get to see them both face to face. He told me He will come and get me if I don’t come there first.

I’m waiting brother….I got on my good pajamas….(smiling here)….come back and take me……….home! ( Read archived post on the good pajamas)

Message for today: It won’t be long before we go home. Do what you can while you’re here…..and always keep your heavenly home on your heart.

P.S. “When I think of Home I do a happy dance in my heart!!”

Do You Have On Your Jesus Glasses?

Subtitle – Getting along with other people

John 13: 34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I am very shy and at times introverted. I don’t like getting into confrontations with other people. If I perceive another person to be the confrontational type I will leave them alone. I’ll say hello of course but will not get buddy buddy with them. This attitude might have been OK if I was not a Christian but I am one. The scripture above is not a suggestion, it’s a command.

When I first became a Christian the Lord gave me many lessons on this. One day in my prayer closet time He told me I needed to work on my attitude toward people. As I had my eyes closed I saw a vision of a large pair of eye glasses. God told me they were Jesus glasses and He told me to put them on and to remember I had them on at all times. He said that when I had them on I would see people how Jesus sees them. Who likes wearing glasses……nobody. These glasses made me see people in a different light and I also saw myself…my heart in a different way. Ouch! That sure hurt.

So here I was with my new eye/Jesus glasses and I tell you I could see clearly. There were no excuses….couldn’t hide from folks anymore. Then I got my first big lesson…uh oh!
I was at a women’s meeting in my church and there was a woman there that I never liked. I felt she was kinda mean and puffed up. Maybe she was… maybe that’s how I perceived her ….it really didn’t matter to God because He knew my heart. While I was sitting in that meeting, the Lord told me to get up and confess my feelings about her.

I told God (in my mind God and I was having this big conversation) you want me to do what? So when the group leader stopped talking for a moment I raised my hand and asked if I could say something and I told the group my confession and they all looked stunned especially the woman who it was about. I apologized and went over and hugged her shocked body. Everybody was like…well alrighty then.

I will never forget that lesson and there were others but not as hard as that test. I really needed that test though because: “HOW CAN I PRAY FOR PEOPLE OR HELP ANYBODY IF I DON’T LOVE THEM????? I can’t. My prayer life will go nowhere. If I’m going to be a prayer intercessor (and I am) there is no way I can be one without LOVE in my heart for all God’s creations. God so loved the world and He gave up His only Son….. So If I love God so much and I do, I need to love what He loves.

Did you ever go to the Eye Doctor (and you know what doctor I’m talking about) and get you Jesus glasses? You’ll never be the same. Now don’t get all scared….He’s not going to give you my lesson ( I hope LOL) He deals with us individually. So please do wear those bible prescribed Jesus glasses. I can see clearly the rain will fall….the rain of God’s blessings for being obedient to John 14: 34-35.

Message for today: It’s better to wear the Jesus glasses than to stumble around and be limited in what you can do for the Lord.

“Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!”

“Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!”

1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

“Danger, Will Robinson!” is a catch phrase from the 1960s’ American television series Lost in Space. The Robot, acting as a surrogate guardian, says this to young Will Robinson when the boy is unaware of an impending threat. In everyday use, the phrase warns someone that they are about to make a mistake or that they are overlooking something.

This morning the Lord has a warning message for us all. Be careful of false prophets and wrong information about The Lord. This is very dangerous because our brain is amazing, we can hear something once and its stays in the back of our mind. It can get into our spirit and when we need the word to use as a weapon against satan, we will have wrong information and we won’t get the victory. Guard you eyes what they see and your ears what they hear. Watch out what goes into your spirit and into your children. Be careful what books you read, what you find on the computer, what you see on TV and what other people tell you. “Danger Will Robinson Danger”.

There are so many scriptures I could give and really get into a deep study here, but I believe my simple message can be well understood. Please do your own bible study on false prophets…..so you’ll know the truth of God’s word for yourself.

One scripture that had a very powerful effect on me when I committed myself to the Lord is:

Acts 17: 10, 11 That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived         there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. 11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

I check everything all the time. I was very careful who taught my kids when they were little; I was careful with my own training I received in church. I bought commentary and spent time checking out all information I heard about God. I need all the help I can get from the Lord.

How are you going to get the victory with the testing, trials, and temptations that can overtake us if you don’t know what God has promised us in His word? Don’t let anyone fool or deceive you. Watch out! Be smart and wise. Don’t sit and say….well they must know what they’re doing…they’re a teacher, preacher….a leader…….a friend…..my mother.

I don’t care who it is…….CHECK IT IN THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoever I look at, hear or read about I look up their statement or doctrine of faith FIRST. Don’t risk getting wrong information into your spirit….guard you spirit.
When you see stuff that’s questionable……don’t as they say…..chew the meat and spit out the bones…….don’t listen to it, don’t eat dangerous meat. “Danger Will Robinson Danger”. Your walk with the Lord is too precious to risk weakening it. There are many imitators and counterfeit teachings out there.

Go out today and get you a nice big study bible, a Strong’s concordance, a bible commentary and be ready to search for truth. You may have to stop watching your favorite religious TV program or stop reading that Christian book…oh well. “Danger Will Robinson Danger”.

Message for today: There is a danger in not knowing God’s word and blindly trusting people who say they do. Know the bible for yourself.

Going Out On A Limb For God

Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

God has given me messages to give people and He tells me to do things for people. He has had me walk up to complete strangers and start a conversation. I will do anything for the Lord and go way out on a limb for Him. Early in my walk with the Lord a brother in the Lord who was very wise in the supernatural things of God told me that sometimes God will have you go out on a limb for Him.

I’m so glad this brother told me that because I would have missed many blessings. I’ll give you an example of what I have done. There was a man who had just gotten out of jail and came to our church. The Lord gave me a message for him and I wrote it down on a piece of paper. I drew a picture of money in the form of change and told Him God was going to bless Him and he will be whole again and he will have money in his pocket. I gave him a scripture and prayed for him. I spoke to Him about the message and the vision I had and He look at me like….well OK lady. I get that a lot when I give a message. You get use to it.

About 2 years later this man came back to our church, but I didn’t recognize him. He came over to me and said I had given him a message and he carried it around in his wallet. He pulled out his wallet and showed me all his credit cards drivers license and a wad of money. He said I told him the Lord would fill his pockets and he did. He said he has a good job and a good life. Would God have blessed him if I didn’t give him the message? Yes……but God wanted to show this man his power in a unique way and I would have missed my blessing.

What does it take to go out on a limb for the Lord?

1.You must be A Christian
2.You need to be a praying Christian
3.You need discernment
4.You need the power of the Holy Spirit……His anointing
5.Need to know scripture (you don’t have to be a bible scholar)
6.Know God’s voice
7.Be available and willing
8.Be motivated by your love for the Lord
9.Be prepared( have tracts, bibles, paper pen etc.)
10.Have a clean heart and integrity(how can you be a witness if you are not right with God)

Please pray about this today. This world needs us; the Lord wants to use us. It is not an easy thing to go out on a limb for God. It takes us out of our comfort zone and into the area of God’s supernatural power. I trust God totally and I keep my spiritual ears open and always ready to act when He gives me the go. When God wants me to do something, a feeling comes over me inside or sometimes I just hear Him in my mind saying go do this. I’m always willing….He NEVER forces me to do anything. You have to be willing.

All of this is about saving souls and encouraging Christians who need a word from the Lord to boost their faith. God will give you the anointing for that time; you can’t keep doing the same thing every time. There are times God has me do nothing for a while and then there are times I get many task to do. It’s all up to Him only.

Two bible hero’s to me ( and there are many) are John the Baptist and Noah. These two men were out there….way out there. Just had to throw in Daniel. I’m so glad I only have to write a message on a piece of paper. Whew!

Acts 4:29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

Think about this today and see how far you can go out on a limb. People are waiting………God is waiting…….for tree climbers.

2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Message for today: Go all out for Jesus…He went all out for you!

Message given to me by the Lord in 2008…Put your spiritual ears on

Dear readers,

This morning I prayed and had no message. I waited on the Lord for a while listening for His voice as to what to write today. He then spoke and said give them the message I gave you in 2008. I though it was long but He said give it. So you must know me by now…God speaks I listen…..and obey. I got this message in 2008 when I had 10 months of extreme prayer for revival. It was so intense that I got sick from being so drained. I prayed and cried before the Lord for souls. I believe God answered me clearly and now I’m watching and waiting and I see His plan is activated. Please always pray about any message that someone shares with you, me including me. Always verify everything in your bible.

In His Service,

Tanya Nemley

Message from God on October 20,2008

I was praying and I told God that people really don’t want to be witnessed to and how is He going to get the lost souls. He said” Prayer, personal revival, the anointing, the Holy Spirit and His Glory.”

He said pray down His glory! Until He falls on us. God is a consuming fire and when His glory comes down no one will be able to stand. Many will faint under His power.

A true revival is coming, one that is built on the truth of God’s word. This will be a revival in the life of individual believers. Personal soul searching, surrender all to God, humbling ourselves, teaching and training is the key to a lasting revival.

People will eventually forget signs and wonders so God’s got His own plan. This will be a plan that will cause this world to experience extreme difficulties.  But God will be there to help and to draw people to Himself as they seek help.

I asked Him what about the false prophets? He said leave them to Him and to those He has chosen or commissioned to speak out against them. Just teach the people to read and study their bible and they will recognize untruths and false doctrine.

God said there are churches all over the world that are waking up out of their sleepiness and are becoming strong. God said He Has heard the cries and prayers from the intercessors and prayer warriors.

Pastors prepare my people for training and teaching the people. The babes in Christ coming into the kingdom will need to be taught the truths from my word in a way that they can understand and apply to their lives.

Train up leaders, teachers and the church using old methods and new technology, all can advance my kingdom.

God says all His children young and old should know their spiritual gifts. When my gifts are in full operation it will enhance and grow my church.

My children should be careful to not get trapped into obtaining self satisfying things. Keep your mind on advancing the kingdom and supporting the work of the church.

It won’t be long before my Son will return. I have sent out alerts and those who have spiritual ears are hearing my voice. Holy ordained sermons are being preached; people are repenting and crying out to me for change. I have heard the cries of so many of my children.

This is a serious Holy time, I’m calling those who are called by my name and they are hearing me and are running to my altar and recommitting their lives in humble servitude to me. I am rewarding those who are seeking me. I will protect you; provide for you, I am your Good shepherd . Those who put their trust in me will not be blown by the wave of this world’s uncertainty.

I have so enjoyed my true worshipers. Many are calling my name; many are crying and walking with me daily. I so look forward that. Some sing songs of old and some sing a new song and often some just lay in my presence.

I have a plan and I am sending out my orders to those I have chosen to lead over the people. Be in constant prayer as I send out my plans daily and I also want to strengthen you in your spirit man. This has been and will be a battle. Much of the battle has been with my own leaders against each other. Oh how this grieves me so. Everyone wants my attention and blessings in the ministry but want so little of me in it.

Those who have ears listen to what my Spirit is saying. I am speaking loudly and clearly according to my word. If you don’t hear me you are not plugged in.

Prepare for the coming personal revival, it is coming, a shaking, I have done it before and I will do it again. Expect it. Prepare yourself for it. Ask me to search you heart. Surrender all to my control. Give me full reign in your life. I will rein righteousness on you.

Prepare for battle because those who hate me will be more hateful and you will feel this opposition like never before, but be strong, bold, and courageous. They will try to come in and disrupt your life and my church, be on guard.

The key to personal revival is Holy Spirit…. He will be your guide. Be quite and listen, be sensitive and obedient to His lead. Keep focused and stay in my word. Imitators and deceivers are out there  Beware!!!!!

My Son is coming soon, He is coming soon!!!

Matthew 24:10-14 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

2 Corinthians 4:8, 9 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

I have suffered from an undiagnosed illness for the past 20 years. This illness presents itself like I’m having a strokelike event. It’s very frightening and in the earlier years I would have one about 3 or 4 times a day. I have many symptoms including memory issues, difficulty speaking, right side weakness and the most frightening, difficulty breathing. My Everyday life is very difficult to function in and one day about 8 years ago when nobody was home I had a really bad episode. I sat in my kitchen in a chair and I really thought this is the day I am going to die. I thought my family would come home and find me dead in that kitchen chair. I leaned back in the chair barely able to breath and waited.

I didn’t call 911 because they had already been to my house many times because of this and I knew there was no diagnosis so I just laid there. The episodes at that time lasted about 15 minutes. After it was over I cried so hard. I had been having the episodes for 12 year at that point and I was pushed to my limit. I had cried and prayed to God MANY MANY times before and I know He said He would not put more on you than you can handle but this day was it for me. I screamed at God and cried, I told Him I could not take any more of this trial at this level of intensity. I told Him if He was trying to squeeze me out like a sponge that there was not one drop of water left. I told Him that I could not take any more.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

From that day I only had tiny episodes everyday and big ones about 4 times a year. You might say well why didn’t He heal you all the way? I don’t know. I believe this is my thorn in the flesh and only God knows why He’s allowing this and for what purpose. We all get squeezed every day. God is testing us, refining us, so we will be as pure gold.

I don’t like this hard testing, but I do count it all joy because I can feel many things God has and is accomplishing in my spiritual life. I am weak like a baby and I totally depend on God to sustain my life every minute of every day. I get wet and God squeezes me over and over again. He is working something in my life, perfecting me for His purposes in this life and the next. He makes me weak and then I’m strong in His power and strength.

This squeezing has many benefits. You probably are saying what in Pete’s name could be the benefits of squeezing/suffering? Well that’s a whole other blog topic, but I can quickly tell you my ministry to other people is intense because as they say….been there done that. My music ministry is intense because I sing about what I’ve been through and I believe people identify with me. I pray a lot because I need God a lot. I’m in touch with Him all day and even the night. I’m up at night every night. I know God will reward me for my endurance through the squeezing/suffering.

So am I happy about the squeezing? Well no because it hurts….and yes because it has benefits that FAR out weight the negatives. The benefits are seeing grace delivered in its highest form to me. God’s amazing grace comes as a promise in squeezing/suffering.

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Do you feel like you are being squeezed?

“Dearest and Most Holy Heavenly Father,

One of my brothers or sisters is out there and they are being squeezed so much and they are really hurting. Some of their family and friends are being squeezed too. They need your help today. I ask you to remove the thorn, to heal them, to supply their need, to heal their children, heal that friend or loved one, to take away that sting of death, to provide that job, to befriend the lonely and depressed, and to give your amazing grace to all who need more of it today. Send a host of your angels out and surround them with protection and help. Thank you for the testimonies that I’m going to hear about. Thank you for the victory. I know you are a healer and a comforter. I know how much you love your children…..even when we are mad at you. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for our lives. Thank you for your living word. Thank you for sending your Son and for eternal life. I ask all these request in the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen”

2 Corintians 4: 16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Message for today: The squeezing?………….It’s to make you weak to make you strong. Praise the Lord!!
