I woke up this morning and thought

I’ll be facing many challenges this week

I thought to myself

I’m a child of God

I will not be alone

I will not fear

I will wear hope like a badge

And have peace like medication for my soul

I know who I am

I know whose I am

My God will be there for me

He’s my Father after all

I remind myself of this

I meditate on some of my favorite scriptures

Encouragement envelops me

My spirit is lifted

The sun is up now

My new mercies have arrived

A fresh dose of goodness and mercy

I face my day with much hope

Thank you Jesus

You made this all possible

To you I owe everything

My Savior my King
