I need to hear this song today.  My body is acting like a 60-year-old body with chronic illnesses acts.   God is so amazing though and will provide us what we need to strengthen our spiritman.  God gave us the gift of music as soothing balm and I’m blessed today to have been soothed.  If you need to be soothed today…consider this wonderful woman’s story and her heart for our Lord and Savior.   Let this song have it’s work in you too.

Annie Johnson Flint was a song writer and she also wrote poetry.  In her life time she wrote 6000 hymns and gospel songs.  Annie knew what suffering was.  She was afflicted with severe crippling arthritis and cancer.  When she wrote this hymn below…she had to have the chalk wedged between her stiff gnarled fingers.  Annie was a very faithful servant of the Lord.

He giveth more grace

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.

His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!
