When I see you Jesus….I’m going to really understand why you did this for me…but until then…I want to say….Thank you so so much from deep in my heart!
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 23For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
I was thinking about Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for me. We all celebrate this on Easter…we all celebrate it with communion and we are all always saying…”thank you Jesus”. I was thinking that when I get to heaven and I have complete knowledge of what He really did and how much of a sacrifice it was…I will be truly overcome with emotion. If I knew and truly understood that now…I think I would pass out from shock to my mortal mind.
But thank God that we see through a dark glass now. How could we survive the full brunt of what Jesus did and who God really is? How could we deal with how much God loves us? God has told us these things in His word and we read it and the Holy Spirit gives us understanding and confirmation in our spirit…but when we get to heaven we will perfectly understand the whole big picture. We will be so grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that when He presents us to God and we see His face…oh the joy, happiness and complete perfect adoration of God the Father that will be in us.
I live in such expectancy everyday! I’m so excited that God is my Father. I’m so grateful to Jesus for the awesome thing He did for me on the cross!!! I personally have bought the refilled disposable communion bread and wine cups from Amazon.com and I take communion by myself at home. I thank Jesus in my own way and I think about what He did for me. I meditate on this for a long time and then I eat and drink my remembrance. I never want to forget! I’m eternally grateful. For me…everyday is…Easter! There is so much more behind what Jesus did for us… but because the full impact is veiled from us right now on earth… I will do my personal best to:
- Read the biblical account of His death and resurrection often.
- Pray and ask for forgiveness for any sin I commit. (Hey… I ain’t perfect yet!)
- Live a life of service as my worship to Jesus and for all that He’s done for me.
- Celebrate communion in memory of His sacrifice.
- Share what I know about Him with others so they will have a reason to thank Him too.
- Remember that because of the cross I have:
- Eternal life
- The Holy Spirit in me
- Hope and help in all times of trouble
- Forgiveness
- A permanent relationship with God w/original sin removed
- Unconditional love
- A personal intercessor to God on my behalf
- A friend
- A new home(heaven)
- Thankfulness to Jesus for everything He’s done for me for the rest of my life!
There is so much more behind what Jesus did for me…and like I said…I was thinking about the day when I fully understand this when I get to heaven. Right now I can look at Jesus in my mind and heart….He was a human so I have some idea what He looked like….and I look in His eyes and try to say thank to Him….but only tears flow from my eyes because my heart can’t express how grateful I am in adequate words. So I’ll keep taking communion and thanking Him. That’s all I have to give right now! But… “ONE DAY”… Oh what a day that will be! When I see Jesus!!!!
I’m gonna thank Him like I never thanked Him before!!

Beautiful, Tanya — thank you for sharing a bit of what Jesus’ sacrifice means to you. The thought of eternally being with our Lord in Heaven is just so very exciting, isn’t it? No wonder the Angels rejoice over one sinner being saved!

Greetings, Tanya, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus,
Amen and amen!!!
Reading this post of yours was very emotional for me. I am thankful to Jesus for all that you shared here. I believe that much of what you say in this post addresses my question that I had hoped you could dialog with me about. I hear you dialoging in this post. Your words have brought about a ministry of healing balm for my mind and heart and spirit concerning that query of mine. And it all goes back to your post previous to this one – we must just worship God and worship Jesus; and worship the Holy Spirit as well? We must worship the Holy Three In One God.
Thank you, Tanya, for making yourself an available vessel for the purposes of God, as He seeks to minister to each of us through one another. I feel soooo ministered to right now, in the depths of my soul. Glory to Jesus! Hallelujah!
Your sister in Christ Jesus, Ann

Dearest sister Ann,
You so touched me with your words of encouragement. My whole reason for blogging is to help lead people to have an intimate relation with God. To experience Him through His word and through prayer. He is so approachable and is always accessible to us 24 hours a day. He’s creative, funny, serious and everything we need Him to be in our God. He wants to be personally involved in our lives. This is why I share my personal stuff. I want people to know and be very close with our Father.
As soon as He teaches us a lesson…people get upset and standoffish to Him. People see Him as the big guy in the sky who steps on us like little bugs. Or they put Him in a neat box on Sundays. But I tell you….He is so much more. Oh let me stop.. I could go on about Him you know.
God bless you Ann on your journey with our Father!
