Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (“The Holy Spirit comes ON you!”)
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (“Therefore…GO GO GO!”)
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (“But the Comforter, Helper, Counselor, Paraclete and Advocate…The Holy Ghost… will teach you!”)
Last week I came to a fresh revelation about my walk with God…that I just can’t shake so I need to write it out.
All of us AD. (After the death of Jesus) followers have a greater responsibility in our relationship in knowing God than the Old Testament saints because we have the Holy Spirit living, dwelling, and residing in us! This fresh revelation has caused me to feel more responsible to live a Holy life and to be more of a witness for Jesus Christ.
The Old Testament saints had to be more concerned with being obedient to the law and making sure they atoned for their sins.
Some advantages to our New Testament life:
- Jesus personally gave us instructions.
- We know that we are soooo LOVED.
- We got to know the story about Jesus being the propitiation for our sins.
- We also know that the devil HAS BEEN defeated.
- A beautiful place has been prepared for us and we’ll never ever suffer pain or sorrow again.
- We will see God face to face.
- The best FYI that we have is that we will live and reign with Him forever!!
Another advantage for us AD. Saints is that we have a Helper…the 3rd Person of the trinity who is The Holy Spirit!!!! We are NEVER alone. We also have a direct way of communicating with our Father God…..our Creator!!
I feel a greater responsibility to live right and share my faith and go and make disciples. God gave us a GIFT…the Holy Spirit. I just want to do all I can for my Precious Loving Father! I don’t feel pressured to do stuff for Him I just want to because the more I realize what He’s done for my benefit…the more I want to go all out for Him.
This life is very difficult at times…well many times…well really almost every day…BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!! Oh my Lord…I’m never alone and never without help!!!
I pray for more boldness to speak up and go after the unsaved. I have the Holy Spirit for that task too!!
I can also get really really close to God… in fact I can walk with Him all day every day!!! You guessed it…because the Holy Spirit has come on me and you too!
Are you seeing what I’m seeing about what an advantage us AD. Saints have. We can get used to our privilege because it’s been a part of our lives for so long. But sometimes we need to sit back and take a fresh look at the all the blessings we have.
I pray my fresh revelation will be your fresh revelation today. God bless you and keep enlightening you!!!

Growing up fundamentalist/evangelical, I was told that as a born-again Christian God would “speak to me”, “move me”, and “lead me” so that I would know and could follow his will. I listened to others talk about how God spoke to them, moved them, and led them to do this and to do that…but He never did the same for me. I finally came to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with me because God had decided he didn’t want to talk to me. So I left the Church.
Many years later I became an orthodox Lutheran and was told that God doesn’t work like that. The evangelicals are wrong. The voice they are listening to is their own. According to “true” Christianity, God speaks to Christians in only one manner: through his Word, the Bible.
That gave me a lot of peace…until I found out that the “Word” is full of discrepancies, errors, and scribe alterations.
I was very sad (and angry) to find out—it is ALL nonsense.
So what about my problem of not hearing the “voice” that other evangelicals were hearing speak, move, and lead them? After deconverting completely from Christianity, I came to realize that it was THEM, not me, that had the problem. They were hearing voices. I was the sane one…who did not.

Hi…You are a very smart man. I’ve looked at stuff you have written on line. Like you said…you know what the bible says so there is no need to go there with you. You think how you think. I too was taught about Jesus as a child and at 12 years old accepted Jesus watching Billy Graham. I cried and really felt it but over the next 20 years struggled in my life. The in 1984 I went to a born again church and the reality of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit became real to me and I became a committed Christian.
That is when the real change came. When I truly repented of my sins and accepted Jesus Christ in my life that is when the supernatualness of the bible becomes alive/real in your soul. Until that happens the bible is like reading a fairy tale.
The first time I heard God really speaking to me… I heard Him call me by my name and tell me He loved me. After some time later I began to speak in tongues. It was so amazing. Many people say it’s just gibberish. It did seem like that to me except I felt something inside of me that was so incredible. Also I seem to speak in different dialects and a lady that was in church heard me speaking in tongues and said she recognized it as an old Chinese dialect.
I started having dreams and visions. A woman came to our church to preach and at the end she came over to me and told me I would be having dreams and visions. I never met her before so how did she know.
I have had so many miracles that it would take to much time to tell you.
There is no way to convince anyone who doesn’t believe how I believe. Only one person in the universe can do that and He is the Holy Spirit. He will not convince you if you don’t want Him to. He doesn’t work that way. In everyone’s brain is a natural desire to believe in something or nothing. It’s our own choice.
What I have chosen has led me, my husband, my kids and my family down a path of peace that all who know us see in our lives. Our lives are a living example of Jesus Christ. Yeah we have good times… but in the bad times is when people watch us the most and are amazed at our strength.
I’ve had MANY visions, MANY talks, and MANY experiences with God. I give people messages from God in the form of little drawing some words. People cry and are shocked because they all say… you don’t know what I’m going through”. I cry too because I’m still shocked myself after all these years of doing this. There is no doubt for me that God is real.
I’m learning to respect others right to believe how they wish. I use my time in ministry which you can find what I do on YouTube and I pray a lot for others in private. I write a blog on my experiences in the Lord…yes in hopes that someone in their time of need can read what I’ve been through and be encouraged. I wish you all the best. Have a great day!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_xOxbh9CuA day!!!!

Thank you for reminding us of all the blessings we have because of the Holy Spirit. I’m seeing our Father’s love and goodness more and more, and it makes me want to go all out for Him just as you said. Many blessings, my sister in Christ.

Yes! I have caught the fresh revelation of the Holy Spirit, Tanya, and I am soo excited.
Your article resonates with me and is so timely, as lately I have spent sometime
reading and meditating on Him, as I too want more boldness to witness to the unsaved. I give God thanks for the new things that Our Father is doing in my life, through His Holy Spirit.
God bless you, my sister in Christ x

Tanya, you are truly a blessing. Only the other day I was reading the prayer you had prayed for me on your site, quite a while ago!
I had printed it off and filed it along with some other small encouragement cards I have. I have read it numerous times. It is so encouraging whenever I read it.
