God Speaks I Listen

Let me start off by saying that this is a sensitive topic, but I feel it needs to be addressed. Just how do we get intimate with God?

John 4:24 says: God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Jesus said right out of His own mouth to, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37

We can conclude from these two scriptures that we should love God in the spirit because He is spirit, and we are to love God with our soul or our whole life. We don’t even need to love God as a man or as a woman because these life designs were meant for our earthly life and for procreating. If you take away these bodies like what will happen when we die, we are left with a spirit and our consciousness. This is how we must worship God!  In spirit, soul, and truth. The bible gives us enough facts about God so that we will know, with the Holy Spirits help, what we need to spiritually link ourselves with God through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:31-32 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.

In this scripture verse Paul states that when a man and a woman join physically, they are one flesh. We all know what that means. But Paul was really talking about Christ and His relationship to the church.  Paul says it’s a mystery. Profound is a strong word describing something that is extremely intense. Mystery means difficult or impossible to understand or explain. We see that Paul had a difficult time trying to explain Jesus’ unique relationship with us, the church. God only gave us but so much information about this, but He did give us a few more hints though. Let’s explore them.

We humans do marry if we desire to do so, for companionship and to have children. But in the next phase of our life the bible says we will no longer need this option because we will be like the angels. Angels don’t need to marry and nether will we. We will be intimately connected to God alone!!!  He will provide all the pleasure in our lives forever!!! All of the relationships that we had on earth, mother, father, husband, children etc. will receive the same love, pleasure, and joy from God. Romans 12:5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We won’t need those earthly names anymore because we will all be connected in a different way in the spirit to God through Jesus.

Luke 20:34-36 Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.

Our lives have been paid for by our groom Jesus!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Therefore honor God with your bodies. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.

And because of this purchase, our Father God has promised us to His Son the bridegroom. We are spoken for!!!

2 Corinthians 11:2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

God has no other way to describe this very close and intimate relationship that we can understand except through our human relationships and using words like jealousy, husband, bride, groom, virgin and so we can grasp how we can interact with Him now.

Some people get uncomfortable trying to process having a profound mysterious relationship with God through Jesus. Let’s not fear this or think it’s just to weird. It is out of this world, but so is God.  That’s why He is so set apart.  He is not like us physically, but He is spiritually like us. So, let’s try as hard as we can to willingly know Him, walk with Him, worship Him and love Him ever so dearly!!!!!

God set up this great way for us to connect to Him. When we transition from this world to His world, I feel we will be connected to God in a way that our minds cannot fathom.  It will supernatural!!!

I have always wondered with God having so many children how He will connect with us all at the same time in heaven. The bible says that God is spirit, a consuming fire and God is light. Heaven is illuminated by Him.  His glory fills the temple. So as soon as we are in His illuminated presence and His glory will touch our glorified body, all the joy, love, affection, feeling of pleasure, and love will penetrate us and fill us in an extremely intimate way.  We will know God in a way that we could never imagine. All the pleasures on earth are NOTHING compared to what we will experience and have in heaven.

We know that God is in us, but we will be in God too. If we are in His glory, if His consuming fire is all around us then we are in Him.  We won’t have to even speak words to Him.  We won’t have to say to Him we love Him because He will know right from our thoughts. Our ways to communicate will be old school.  We will be able to connect with all of Gods children in this new way. These are things I ponder on to encourage myself.

I also think about God a lot and the thought of being able to worship Him and interact with Him in an extremely personal way excites me to no end! You all know I wrote a book last year called,” Obsessed With God” so you know I’m all ready for my extreme relationship with God.

Why do I keep sharing about my personal relationship with God? I’m gonna tell you the truth….I want everybody to love God like they have lost their mind!  I believe it’s the answer for the world’s woes. It’s the way I love God.  I’m sold out to Him.  I want to obey Him.  It helps me stay focused on HIS kingdom and work towards building it!

I’m also obsessed with God because He’s madly in love with me!!! I love God because God kept me from killing myself and completely healed me of depression. And lastly because He loves me warts and all!!! He loves me for me!!! So, I’m sold out for Him!!!  Loving God like crazy is the cure for all the whole world’s problems.

“Father God, I pray for your children to open their soul and spirit to you today so they can deeply fall so in love with you. I pray they know that you love them sooooooooooo very much! In Jesus name…Amen.”
