How to Pray?? The Big Question

Many people have asked this question and many people have written books, have had seminars and preached on this topic. Why, how, what, when…… what more can I say about it? Have you read my blog about Kissing the feet of Jesus? I’ve shared my heart about my prayer life……yet I still feel I have something more to say.

I’m going to say something shocking here…….Prayer is not complicated!! Ok that wasn’t really that shocking but I wanted to get your attention. To tell you the truth….How to pray is a weird question to me….it’s like asking how to love….how to eat…..how to breath?

When I fell in love for the very first time in junior high school I just knew how to love…it came natural. I feel when you fall in love with the Lord talking to Him should be so natural……oh you say…..Fall in love with the Lord? Yes….this is a personal relationship. In 1984 I did fall totally in love with God. I had always loved Him in a distant way….knowing about Him….being told about Him….reading about Him….going to church….singing about Him…..asking for His help in trouble….you know all the regular dealings with God.

But In that year of 1984 I came to know God on a whole different level…..I feel so head over heels in Love with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. What was the difference in this relationship that wasn’t there before? I allowed God to fully come into my life and take charge of me. Because I felt the light of His love and nature…. it exposed my own nature and I became very very sorry for all my sins. I opened myself fully to Him to accept all His love for me and I felt Him inside my soul spirit and body restoring me to a whole blood washed by Jesus person. This was an incredible experience for me. I was so happy, so excited…..I was free from the weights that had pulled me down for years. Who would and could do this for me?….who had that kind of power? It was the Lord…..I was changed and my feelings for Him changed they got deeper.

Now about prayer which is my topic for today. I wanted to know EVERTHING about God and the only way to get this info was to read the bible which I did and then came my prayer life. I did use the Lord ’s Prayer as my beginning guide. But it wasn’t enough for me and the Holy Spirit Himself helped me to pray. I wanted more of God so bad……I waited for Him to talk back to me and He did. The first thing I ever heard Him say to me was…..He called me by my name….and then……He told me He loved me. Tears were streaming down my face as I heard my Heavenly Fathers voice for the first time. I was truly in love…He touched me in my heart. After this there was no stopping me because like Helen Keller when she first understood about sign language and she ran around the room touching and signing….that was me.

I went around telling people that I fell in love with Jesus and people were looking at me with one eyebrow up saying…well alrighty now…that’s nice. Nice that was great to me!

Let me tell you all….I talked God’s head off!! I talked and talked to Him for up to 8 hours a day 7 days a week. Just ask my family. I was told by someone in church that I prayed too much. Someone even told me the reason I suffer with chronic fatigue was because of my prayer life. I just smiled and thought they had a problem because that was a crazy statement….you can’t talk to God too much.

Now everyone does not have to pray that long……that was just me…..I am a prayer intercessor and I have prayed for many people during those blessed years of my life. The longest I pray now is about 2 hours and that’s when the Holy Spirit calls me to that kind of intercession. My prayer now is talking to God on and off throughout the day and daily prayer with my husband.

My whole point here is not to concentrate on the how to….but to concentrate on Him….God….talk to Him…get to know Him…..let Him fully take you over. Melt in His loving arms…drink from His streams of refreshing waters…..Hear and know the sound of His voice….want to be with Him…clutch the bible like it is His love letters to you and hold them close in your heart if fact hide them there. This is how to pray….pray with love for God….His Spirit will lead you and guide you….just be willing to go.

Will someone find you in the secret place…..the garden….where you are alone with the Lord? Will you meet often with the lover of your soul? Who can Love you will all your imperfections? Who can love you so deeply? Who can wash your soul and make you clean? Who can make you so happy despite your circumstance? Who has a mansion waiting for you when you come back home?…..The lover of your soul…God. How do you pray?……Pray with Love…..Pray with Love…..this is the motivating force of my worship and prayers to God……I love Him….so.

Message for today: Change your…. how to pray…..with…. love to pray.

Don’t get prayed up for a rainy day……pray because of Oh happy day.

Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

I love this true bible story and have done a lot of thinking about why God has this story in the bible. What is God saying to us? The meaning of walked in the Greek (Peripateo) is to make one’s way, progress; to make due use of opportunities, regulate one’s life, conduct one’s self, behave. It’s a verb and is used 212 times in the KJV of the Holy Bible. Walked in this scripture verse is an important word that is still hard to figure out. What in Pete’s name did Enoch do that pleased God so much that He would take him straight up to heaven without dying?

I think Enoch had a pure heart….not perfect but pure. God knew all His motives and saw he had a right attitude in all that he said and did. He was honest and had integrity. This was a trait that was hard to find in his day because people were doing lots of bad things during this time period.  I believe that he put God first in everything, cared about others and the most important he worshiped, honored and talked with God deeply and often.

This is my little prayer secret….don’t laugh but….. I have tried to do what I thought Enoch did…..but you guessed it…… I wasn’t taken up…I’m still here! I will never stop trying to copy Enoch….but at this point I’ll have to wait until the rapture of the church and get a ride up with everyone else. That’s still really good too!!! I’m ready…got on my good pajamas (wink…for all those who read that blog).

You know what I’m going to say here if you are one of my regular blog followers….I love God so….and I’m determined to walk with God. I want to have a great relationship with God…He already has a great one with me, but I need to maintain mine with Him and it’s an ongoing thing for me to always walk that way…..you know it…..distractions.
I have the Holy Spirit of God in me and He helps me to walk right. Studying Gods word helps me walk right and I try to talk to God as much as I can so I know I’m on the right path. Does my flesh get in the way?….Yup it does and that makes me mad…..that’s why I’m so grateful for Jesus…the cross and the precious Holy spirit who enables me to get right and keep a stepping….walking with God.

I know when I’m walking with God because I feel like dancing right out of my clothes like David did in the bible….come on I said I feel like it…you know I didn’t do it……my knees are really bad and I can’t dance like that anymore…..I can still praise God with my lips…. I can talk to Him in the secret place…and I can live my life to be pleasing to the Lord and I can be obedient to God…..I can walk with God!!

Message for today: Before you walk with God you gotta talk with God!

Get on your spiritual Nikes, Reeboks, Adidas, whatever you wear…..get moving and……Walk with God!!!

The Scripture That Makes Me Cry

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

I love this scripture verse! I was reading this scripture one day and after meditating on it I fell into a very deep prayer time with the Lord. I cried for a long time and just couldn’t stop. Every time I thought about the Lord is able to keep me from falling and that he was going to present me faultless I started crying all over again.

I am a perfectionist by nature and the thought of being faultless one day is very exciting to me. But more than that is that the Lord is able to keep me from falling. What is meant by falling? Well let’s take an example of some folks who fell….Well the first one who comes to mind is lucifer aka the devil and some of the angels. Then it was Adam and Eve….our first human examples of falling. This means you and I started out falling because of sin. Jesus Christ who by His blood has washed us clean He is ABLE to keep us from falling into gross errors and sin that could keep us from being presented faultless. This is something to really shout about…or in my case …..Cry good tears.

Jesus has all power in heaven and on earth. He has all say so over our lives and He even gave His own life for us. He has invested a lot in me and has kept me on a path to glory with an eternal Holy God. He has and is helping me to keep from messing up….stumbling….by His grace. I see Him doing this in others and I’m so grateful. What a day it will be when He presents us with great joy before God’s presence all clean in our blood washed robes. I know the Lord’s joy will be great….but I tell you so will mine.

Did you ever buy someone a really nice gift and you just couldn’t wait to present it to them? This is how it will be…..with so much excitement and joy when we are presented to God. Remember how wretched we are in our stinking nasty sin and how we displease God and Jesus forgives us and we do it again? Well Jesus is going to complete His work in me and you and we will be presented FAULTLESS…..100% whole, healed of all sinning forever. We will be in a pure condition (holy) to be with God…we will be free from all sin forever and will have the right to stand before our Holy God. We cannot see Him this way right now because Jesus has to finish the work He started in us. He is keeping us from being tripped up.

Message for today: Are you tripping?….Then grab on to Jesus and don’t let go…. for dear life!  Jesus is the ONLY one who can keep you from stumbling.

Jude 1:24-25 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

A Personal letter To My Readers

Dearest blog readers,

I want to share something from my heart today. First let me thank all who subscribe to this blog and those who are regular readers.

I love the Lord and I know I say it a lot in my blogs…..but I do……and it’s because He loves me so much. You all know I’m 59 years old and I have been through so many trials and tribulations. Every time I go through the next one and I look back and remember what God has done for me…. I get so overwhelmed by how He has always brought me through.

Even when He answers my prayers in a different way than I expect…He always gives me grace and peace. God pours His love on me every day……He is always available to me. I’m so grateful to God for sending His only Son to die for my sins. Every day is Easter for me! I am a friend of God, I’m an heir to the throne, I’m adopted into His own family, I’m a princess, I’m God’s daughter!

If today was my last day on earth ……I would tell everyone to please love the Lord with everything you are….love Him hard…..love Him completely……Love Him like you never loved anyone before……tell Him over and over again……in your heart, in your mind…..and speak it out of your mouth to Him. Please don’t judge Him by the decisions He makes for us……..we can’t possibly understand why He does what He does. Many people look at things in the Old Testament or recent catastrophes and think why. You will have answers to these question one day when you get to heaven…….so it’s good to just enjoy God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit now…..we will never have this unique time of trusting and loving God in this way because we will be changed……so now is the time to really tell Him and show Him (in our obedience) how much we love and appreciate Him.

I have this hunger and thirst inside of me for more of Him. But I don’t just want Him for myself….I want Him for other people too. This is what keeps me writing my blog in hopes someone will read the special things He has done for me and want God… Jesus Father… for themselves.

I love my my brother Jesus for what He did for me on the cross that blessed day and not only did Jesus give His own life to take my sins away, He put me right with a very Holy God, and  helped me to have a good life here on earth.  He bore the pain of everyone’s nasty stinking sins on Himself and had His own Father turn from Him because He could not look upon sin…….now that was LOVE!!!!!! He did it for me…and you! He loves us so much. It wasn’t easy for Him….He had to pray to His Father before it happened and asked Him if there was another way to do this…but He did it……who else could or would do something like that for us.

Mathew 22:37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This scripture is me…..it’s what I want to do all the time…….it’s what I strive for every day. Sometime I fall short because of distractions….but I pray and read the word and get right back out there and Love God up. I’m determined to endure through this difficult life and I’m determined to love God no matter what happens. I am going to profess my love for Jesus Christ openly and tell people how much I love God until I can’t……..and that will be the day I step my foot from this life and step in front of heavens gates.

I can’t wait to see God and to look into His wonderful face. I can’t wait to look directly into Jesus eyes to see at last the peace up close and personal that He has been giving me daily. I can’t wait to be with the Spirit of God forever where He doesn’t have to care for me in a protective way but to enjoy His presence on a different level. I will be able to love God fully and worship Him in a way befitting the eternal Holy God that He is.

Please…..I beg you……Love God so…..Love Him…..let Him love you back….look for His love and don’t concentrate on His chastisements or corrections…..yes it will be there ….but it’s all out of His love for me……His LOVE for you. Let this love that you have for Him motivate you in all that you do. Because He loves you so much.  It makes Him very happy when you spread this love awesome love with others. Tell others about Jesus good love….and the good news.

I know my blog is a little strange today and it may seem as if I’m in la-di-da land….but I tell you we as people in a world of very difficult times will find that the Love of God will shine through like a morning sun and will brighten our day. You can’t be fearful when you are assured of God’s love for you and He knows that you love Him and have put Him first. HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU! Take the plunge and jump into His pool of love… trust that He is in the pool with His loving arms open wide and know that He will keep you afloat with all His love. Cast all your care on Him….cast yourself on Him…..He loves you so so much.

In His Service,

Tanya Nemley

P.S. Massage for today: I love Him……I love Him……I love Him so so much. Copy me! You don’t have to write a blog of your love…….but God knows your heart……so write it there.

Speaking in Tongues Is A Blessing To Me

2 Timothy 2:14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.

1 Timothy 6:4 he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions

The subject of speaking in tongues has caused many heated debates for years and years and the scripture above warns us about quarreling about words. Some people believe speaking in tongues is for today and some people believe it is not.  Everyone has the right to their beliefs and we should all be respectful of that.  I am going to share my own personal experience with speaking in tongues.

When I became a Christian the Holy Spirit came and dwelt in my temple….my body.  This is a wonderful gift that God has given us…. to have His Spirit living inside of us.  I’m so grateful for this gift that is given to all believers. It’s how we are guided, taught, comforted, encouraged and how we can be connected and interact with God Himself. The Holy Spirit is an awesome power and He is in us….wow! This enables us to abide in Christ and He abides in us. Speaking in Tongues for me is an added benefit to the Holy Spirit that is already dwelling in me.  My experiences with God are enhanced because of the Holy Spirit’s infilling me in this special way.

When my husband and I committed ourselves to the Lord in 1984,  we wanted so much of God.  We did a lot of bible studying and were at church with our kids almost every time the church was opened. We were assigned a deacon who helped us along in our Christian walk as newly committed Christians.   Our deacon spent time with us talking about the things of God. My husband had been Catholic and I had been Lutheran and we had very little knowledge of speaking in tongues except seeing some relative’s speaking in tongues at funerals in our past. We told the deacon we would like to join the church (it was a Pentecostal church) but we were not going to do that speaking in tongues thing. The deacon just smiled and said OK.

But…..as we became so overwhelmed with the presence of the Lord at every service and at home in our private time of bible study and prayer,  we started to want more of the presence of the Lord. One night my husband went to church without me and when he arrived back home that night he had a look on His face that I knew something had changed in him. I asked Him what happened and he said he was speaking in tongues in church. The kids and I asked him to do this for us and we all sat down on the couch in the living room and he prayed and spoke in tongues and we were so amazed.

It sounded so beautiful….so heavenly.  So now I wanted that too and for weeks I prayed until I too was able to speak in tongues. The experience of this is so amazing to me even all these years later. These foreign odd words just seem to flow from deep inside me to out of my mouth.  I have the original words that I say from when I started speaking in tongues but the words expands into longer phrases the longer and deeper into prayer I get. If I worship the Lord in tongues it can change to be more beautiful and then lead into singing in tongues. If I’m praying hard for an urgent need for someone then the tongues get loud and powerful. I don’t lose control of myself and can stop speaking at anytime.
In my early years I have spoken in tongues out loud in public church prayer meetings and this is something I have learned not to do unless there is interpretation of the tongues for the purpose of encouraging the body or prophesying. Tongues are mostly for private prayers.

One night when I spoke out loud in tongues in church, there was a woman who spoke Chinese and she said she recognized some of the words I spoke as being a very old Chinese language. There have been a few time that I have gone to pick up my order at a Chinese restaurant and I wanted to start speaking in tongues to see if they understood me and maybe the tongues would be about Jesus….but I have never worked up the nerve to do that……Many of you are saying right now….Thank God!!…..I know…LOL.

In my personal prayer times I have spoken many different dialects and I’m so amazed! I don’t know what I’m saying, but I do know this….I trust what God through His Holy Spirit is doing and saying in me. God is not going to hurt me or cause me to be confused so I just let Him do in me what He wants to do and I let go and let God have His way with me. I so trust my God like that….I trust Him.

I heard a sermon from a preacher a few years ago and he gave this advice which I totally agree with….he said speak in tongues often.  I believe he said this because speaking in tongue is so supernatural that to speak it often keeps reminding us how supernatural our God is and that speaking in tongues build us up in our own spirit.

So I’m going to end this here…but I want to say… I love speaking in tongues and I’m so blessed by this presence of the Lord in my life in this way. This does not make me anymore special than anybody else and it doesn’t mean if you don’t do it that there is a problem, because it’s not! If you are a Christian then you have the Holy Spirit in you now. We are all different and have different experiences with our wonderful God.  The main thing is that we all worship, praise, glorify Him with all the honor that is due Him for being our creator and Most Holy Father God!!!!!!

The word Of The Lord For Today

Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Mark 16:15-16 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Luke 11:28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Are you too busy today? Relax, Time Out, Be Still

Ecclesiastes 5:3 A dream comes when there are many cares……..

Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

I hate to be nosey but….what are you going to do today? Do you have a list? A million things to do….places to go….people to see….chores….shopping….fixing….building…..the lawn….the kids….church stuff….and the list can go on and on.

I hear the Lord say today to slow down…slow your mind down and slow your body down. Take some time out just to sit quietly and think calming things. Meditate on the Lord and all His goodness. Think about the blessing over your life time. Think about a smiling baby’s face or a beautiful garden of flowers. Maybe even take a short nap and close your eyes.

Jesus knew about this and when He was a man here on earth He was very busy when His ministry started….people hounded Him and He was preaching and teaching a lot, but He used to get away to rest and pray. These human bodies can only take but so much stress.

When Martha in the scripture above was so busy in her preparations Jesus called out her name twice. I can almost hear His voice as she flitted about. I am a Martha so I know just what she was doing. I’ve learned how to pre-prep now so I can enjoy my company but the point is to slow down with all the business that a day can hold.
Do you really have to do all that today? Will you be perky enough for church? Will you be in danger of falling asleep on your pastor’s sermon tomorrow?

Message for today: Don’t let Jesus have to call your name two times….all these things to do….never mind…..put your feet up and get a cup of tea and …….relax today…..come on ….you can do it!

A Good Dear John Letter

Dear John,

I first heard about your story when I was just a little girl in Sunday school. It was a story that I didn’t really understand until I got much older and thought it was a strange story. Your mom was really old, a senior citizen, when she had you and your father couldn’t speak until you were born. You were filled with the Holy Spirit in your mothers womb. You jumped around in your mom’s stomach because your unborn cousin Jesus was near you… John you were one smart… I mean anointed baby.

John you hung out in the wilderness and sustained yourself on locusts and honey and your style of dress was a outfit made of camel skins and a leather belt. John… I like the leather belt… but where did you get the camel skin? (I don’t even want to think about that one) John…you went around preaching and telling people to repent and they repented and confessed their sins to you…..wow John….how did you get them to do that?….Oh I forgot….you were filled with the Holy Spirit before you were born…..John…..I too have the Holy Spirit and have been trying to do what you do……well not eating bugs and honey and sporting the camel clothes…..but I have gotten out there sharing the good news…it’s hard though…..I will pray for more boldness like you.

And then John you baptized Jesus and you didn’t even want to do it but He made you anyway. John you are so humble….I love that about you. John you were not afraid to tell people about themselves and you sure told Herodias about herself, but she had some tricks up her sleeve and her plans worked when she had her daughter ask for your head on a platter. You know the king really liked to hear you preach too but did wrong by marrying that wicked Herodias who was the kings own brothers wife. John your story could definitely be a made for TV movie……oh……I know….you have no idea what a TV is….sorry about that.

Anyway John I just want you to know that your story truly inspires me now at my age of 59 years old. I really get it now and I understand you. You knew who Jesus was and you dedicated your life to spreading the gospel and telling people to repent of their sins. That is exactly what I’m going to do with the rest of my life John.

John….we now have a box called a television and another one called a computer. We have so much technology and can spread the gospel on a thing called the internet. I’ve even written about you on my blog today…..oh…that’s a..…never mind….just know that I’ve shared your wonderful story with many people today.

Dearest John…..I know you are having a blessed time in heaven and have been rewarded for all your prep work you did for the coming of Jesus while you were here on earth……John….I’ll see you when I get to heaven…maybe we can do lunch…..I know Jesus has prepared a feast.

In God’s Service ….Love…

Tanya… your sister in Christ

Luke 1: 11-15 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord.

Mark 1: 4-8 And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. 6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Mark 6:27-28 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother.

Encourage Yourself In The Lord… For Your Sake

1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

David in this bible story (please read the whole story…on your time of course 🙂 ) was having a really bad week. His possessions and that of his men were taken and their wives and children were kidnapped. That’s about as bad as it gets…..well not really….I think the story of Job was worse…but David’s was right up there. He and his men were so heartbroken that they cried so hard they wore themselves out. You know for big grown strong warriors to cry like that it had to be a very difficult situation. Then they got so angry that they were thinking about doing David in…..so David now had a much bigger problem than he had just an hour before….he feared for his very own life. You know this would cause me to seek God in a hurry and David did.

I’m sure David did these 3 things:

1. Thessalonians P 5:17 pray without ceasing. David was a man of God and I’m sure the Lord was always on his mind and in his heart. I personally talk to God all day about everything….even small things. Constant fellowshipping with the Lord and abiding in Him all the time throughout your day has great benefits. Keep the Lord’s name on your lips and bless Him at all times. There are two times that I don’t do this as much and that’s when I’m shopping and after I bless my food and eat it and then some…yup that’s right…shopping and eating…..I’m human OK? LOL I’m working on this though…..my point is to stay prayed up as they say…..don’t wait until you need God……pray when you aren’t needy… so when need arises…you are there….with Him already.

2. 1 Peter 5:7  casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. It has taken me many years of trials and suffering to do this right away. In my earlier years of walking with the Lord…when sudden troubles arose I would call my mom, sister, friend, neighbor, church member, deacon, pastor, the mail man…just kidding about the mail man, but I called on everybody and then called on the Lord…..but God has trained me now to go to Him first before I consult with anyone else. In fact after I finish casting my care on Him I feel I don’t have a need to talk with anyone else about the situation….I know God cares for me and will answer my prayer.

3. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. God will give you peace of mind and you will be able to deal with any situation. When I was told by my doctor that I had cancer…I needed this peace of mind and God gave it to me.  When my surgeon walked in my room after the surgery to check on me and saw me sitting up in the bed all happy and peaceful…. he started to cry. This doctor knew I was a Christian and my God had helped me to get through this.

You are not always going to have people around you to encourage you. You may be alone in your hospital room, you may be single and home alone, and you could even be around people and still be alone….. no matter what is your status of who is surrounding your space…it doesn’t matter because you will never feel alone when you have made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life and you have maintained an ongoing dialogue with Him. You will be able to encourage yourself in an instant. Oh you do have to know something very important……what God can do for you …..And you have to have faith that He can help you. Knowing the word of God is very important in increasing your faith to believe what God has promised He can do for you.  KEEP YOUR MIND ON THE LORD AT ALL TIMES…..THINK ABOUT HIM ALL DAY LONG AND NIGHT LONG!!! SING TO HIM! WORSHIP HIM AND BLESS HIM!  LET YOU MIND BE CONSUMED BY HIM! LET HIM BUBBLE UP IN YOUR INSIDES! KEEP YOUR MIND ON HIM!

The next time something happens and you need God to help you…. say this to yourself…….. “God you have always been there for me in the past and I know you are a powerful God who created everything. You even know how many hairs are on my head and you know the exact count of every grain on sand on the earth. I know you will never leave me and that you have your heavenly angels watching over me. Lord your Holy Spirit is always strengthening me. God you watch after the sparrows and I know you watch over me so much more. Lord I need you this very hour and I praise you for what you are about to do. Father I put all my trust in you and turn all of my worries and problems over to you. Speak to my heart oh Lord and tell me what to do and I will obey. My ears are open to you…I’m listening for your voice. I will keep still until I hear from you and wait for my help and answer. You are my God and I thank you for what you are about to do for me and I give you all the Glory for all your blessing in Jesus Name I pray …..Amen”.

Message for today: This is one time that we have permission to talk to ourselves…..Encourage yourself in the Lord….tell yourself…God is good all the time……then answer yourself and say……and all the time God is good! Pat yourself on the back and say it’s going to be alright because I put God first and trust Him. See…you just encouraged yourself! I’m proud of you!

My Birthday Prayer

Today is my birthday and I’m so grateful to be alive. 10 years ago I had breast cancer and have
been cancer free for all of the past 10 years. Life is beautiful to me.
Today as I open my eyes this morning… I’m so happy for another day to
serve the Lord and to be with my loved ones.

I pray that God will continue to use me in any way He’s sees fit. My life is dedicated to His service….God has
been so good to me and I thank Him for everything.
My birthday wish and prayer is that everyone I know and everyone I don’t know will
love the Lord will all their heart. God is so good…and I love Him so. “Thank you God for giving me my life and for keeping me and loving me.”

If today is your birthday….what do you wish for? Let me know and I’ll agree in prayer with you.  Don’t worry about the date….if today is the day write…..If your wish is private you can write me in the sidebar.

Happy birthday to you!  If you don’t Have the Lord in your life….don’t let another birthday go by….this is my birthday wish….you CAN make my wish come true!  Write me in the sidebar.
