I have a learning disability and it is more helpful for me to listen to the bible than to read. Thank God this is not a problem for me anymore. Anyone can listen to the bible for free on the internet. As I was listening to the word this morning… it gave me a different perspective on God’s word. Paul and the other writers of the New Testament tells us what God requires of us and how we should act as Christians.
I got a really big revelation about this…. “IF WE LOVE GOD”! If we love God then we would do EVERYTHING we can do to act right and to please Him. If we love God with all of our heart, mind, body, and soul we will be crazy in love with God and do whatever we can to please Him. Not just sometimes but all the time. I feel all the writers are trying to get us to do the right thing. They give us a lot of spiritual directions and tips. We will want to do these this if we deeply love God. We won’t want to sin because how can we be involved in bad things with someone you love so much and want to please?
2 Corinthians 5:14-15For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
I feel this is the KEY to our spiritual walk! Loving God!!!! We will want to be humble and bowed down in our heart at all times. We will offer our bodies to Him as a sacrifice. We will be thinking about Him most of the time. Everything we do will be geared towards His wants and desires!
Luke 10: 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Loving God with all your strength means to love Him with all your energy, ability and power.)
How do we get to this kind of love and devotion? I love God like this now but it has been a long process to get to this point. I have figured out some things which I’m going to share with you:
THE FIRST BIG THING I’VE FIGURED OUT IS THIS:
“I NEED TO SEPARATE THE PAIN FROM MY TRIALS FROM WHAT I KNOW ABOUT GOD’S LOVE FOR ME.”
I have learned not to combine my trials with my relationship with God in a way that I think God is continually punishing or testing me. I know my trials and testing’s have a purpose in my life that only God can be sure of the cause and outcome. My job is to know that “It is well with my soul” NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!!! I should know that my mind is being renewed every day and I’m good in my spirit man. I may go through trials and many of them might be quite severe but I should BE ASSURED in my heart that God loves me!
Even if the trial might be to correct something in my life I still must know in my mind that God has my BEST interest at heart and His motives are pure and holy towards me. So this keeps my relationship with Him in my mind heart strong and loving. Even in the very worst of times I must say…God loves me so! This mindset has really helped me so much!!! I DON”T need to be upset with God. I can be sad about the difficulty though. This attitude will keep my faith high and depression and doubt low. My love for God won’t be lessened. We’re human and our love can get stronger or weaker because of what we’re feeling or experiencing at the time. We need to be very secure in God’s love for us and we need to love Him fully in our dark times.
THESE ARE 7 BIG REASONS WHY I LOVE GOD LIKE CRAZY:
I KNOW THAT GOD CREATED ME IN HIS MIND AND HEART AND HAS A WHOLE BIG PLAN FOR MY LIFE FROM THE BEGINNING TO SAVE ME, REDEEM ME AND ADOPT ME INTO HIS FAMILY.
HE WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING TO DESTROY ME AND HAS ONLY MY BEST INTEREST AT HEART.
THAT HE LOVES ME SO MUCH AND ACCEPTS ME FOR WHO I AM RIGHT NOW!
HE WILL NEVER LET ME EXPERIENCE ANY MORE PAIN AND SUFFERING FOREVER WHEN I TRANSITION TO HEAVEN!
I HAVE PUT THE devil IN his PLACE IN MY MIND WHICH IS ONLY A SMALL PIECE AS COMPARED TO GOD’S WHOLE BIG INCREDIBLE PLAN FOR MY EXISTENCE. THIS MAKES GOD’S LOVE FOR ME SO OVERWHELMING.
I REMEMBER THE MANY MIRACLES AND VICTORIES GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH IN MY LIFE.
I BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE TRUE WORD OF GOD AND THAT THE BIBLE SAYS GOD LOVES ME…DROPPING THE MIKE HERE!!!!
How to love an invisible God?
There is only one way to love an invisible God and that is to seek Him out. I really said in a previous blog to “date God”! Spend a lot of time getting to know Him through studying about Him in the bible and talking to Him often. Visit with God until you get to experiencing His Shekinah Glory!!!! This can also happen in a church setting. Once it happens to you…you will want more of this supernatural experience.
Why should you want to love God this deeply? Because love is the whole reason why God created us. He loves us and He wants us to love Him and others. The big take away here is that if I love God like crazy then I will do everything I possibly can to obey Him in every way. I will live a holy and obedient life and will want to help others obtain what I have. I will be able to make more disciples and therefore build the kingdom of God. This will please Father God. Jesus went through a lot for us. The Holy Spirit is working in us 24/7 to help us. I need to love God like crazy…I want to! I believe this is the answer for all things going on in this world…..To love the creator of all human life with all our heart, mind, body, soul and strength!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God didn’t just love you….He SO loved you!!!! You are so loved!!!
God wrote the check…Jesus cashed it and the Holy Spirit distributed the love!! We are blessed!
The other day I was shopping for Christmas gift wrapping supplies and I came to a startling revelation…” there are 2 holiday’s on December 25th”. There is Jesus birthday which many call Christmas and there is a holiday celebration which many call season’s greetings or Xmas. Jesus birthday is a religious occasion in which Christians celebrate the birth of God’s Son with special church services, gift giving and family gatherings. Season’s greeting or Xmas is a fun time of celebration which involves dinner, gift giving parties and drinking.
Back to my shopping trip….I could not find any religious Christmas decorations. I had to order them on line. There were plenty of holiday decorations in every store though. I have come to the realization that there are 2 holidays and two different reason for the grand celebrations. I’ve even made peace with it in my mind because I understand what’s going on now.
I am personally responsible for two things in this matter. First is to make sure I’m doing everything I can to celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior in a way that will bring Him glory. And the second thing is I need to share my faith so others can celebrate the good news of Jesus birth also.
I don’t look down my nose on anyone who is celebrating Xmas or Seasons Greetings. I will pray for everyone. I will do what I canto do to build God’s kingdom. Because I understand what’s going with the down play of Christmas… I feel very merciful towards others who don’t really get the real reason for the season.
I just had a vision…I saw Jesus standing outside in front of Walmart and He was carrying a sign that said…”what about me?” People just walked past Him like He wasn’t even there. I thought that Jesus was going to be very upset when I looked at His face…but I saw compassion. It looked like His face was expressing this…”Father forgive then for they know not what they do”.
Ifwe want people to know real meaning of Christmas, we must:
We must show people the love of Jesus through our lives.
We must be bold and tell others why Jesus came.
We must live the passion of our relation with the Lord all day every day.
We must shine our light!
We must evangelize so that one day people will get back to saying Merry Christmas.
We must evangelize so that one day we will see the selves packed with religious Christmas decorations once again.Hark the Herald angel sing…Glory to the new born King!!!
This is a message the Lord gave me on December 15, 2016 for the New Year of 2017.
1 Peter 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
It’s time!
To deal with this judgement we should do this:
3 Things God is saying to “the church” (You and me):
Humble ourselves!!! 1 peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Love God!!! Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Share the good new!!! Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
There are many things that could have been added to this list but these 3 things is what God told me to write. I said God, shouldn’t loving you come first? He said we must be bowed in our heart and mind and in soul before Him. I had to really ponder this but I understand His point. Even before salvation we must humble ourselves before His great majesty. We must believe and acknowledge Him as the most Holy Supreme Being and accept the gift of His Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Then we must love God with every fiber of our being. As I always say…love God like crazy!!!! If you do, you will want to please Him and do everything He ask or requires of you.
Then we must share this very good news with as many people as we can. Now that we are assured of our own entry into heaven, how can we not be concerned that others get into heaven too?
If you have put Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit on the back burner or no long feel that they are relevant in these days and times then there is only one thing you can do. That thing is to repent. The things that God has asked us to do in His word are non-negotiable. His word does not go out of style. What seems to be in style today is following teachings that don’t line up with the word of God. Start fresh and study the word for yourself. Get clarity from good solid study material. These things are part of the humbling process. Bow down and submit yourself to our Holy God. Repent and respect who He is and respect His word.
Love God like you have lost your mind! It’s Ok because He’s your God. How do you accomplish this? Talk to Him a lot and study the bible. How do you accomplish all this? With time. Date God! Spend quality time with Him. How else do you get to know someone and form a very close relationship with them? Church on Sunday and Wednesday night mid-week service doesn’t do it all.
Tell others about God. I know this is hard for people but I know you can figure out a way to do this. I give out tracts of my personal story that I have written and had printed. Copy that. Join evangelism a team. Pray and follow the Holy Spirits lead and just speak to people you meet. Doing nothing is not good. God gave us instructions and not suggestions to do this. We’re responsible to God for this command.
What is in store for us in 2017? I see a lot of things that have been going on and will continue to go on but I also see a very merciful God in action. I feel God is going to be there for the righteous. We will have a lot to thank God for!! We will see healing and miracles for those He calls His children. There will be protection and answered prayers. In fact God is doing these things even now. We need to be assured of His help. But even if some of us must suffer…He will be there with His help, Strength and encouragement.
Now for those who have not asked Jesus to be there Lord and Savior and do not believe in God it will be very very difficult for you. In the spirit world there are many angels here on earth. I’ve only seen angels a few times in my lifetime but I know they are present here. On the other hand I have also seen the demonic side to and it’s very unpleasant! I saw it this morning before writing this. It was very nasty maggots and worms and other disgusting things all around. They were trying to suck the life out of people and were everywhere. God’s children had protection spiritually from these demonic pest but the unsaved were unprotected and some of the demonic spirits were attacking and devouring people.
In closing with this message…I know it may be strong for some people to comprehend but the bible explains all that will happen in the last days and it’s surely been happening now.
Father God…Please help us in this coming year to be all that you want us to be. Give us strength and encouragement as we humble ourselves and submit to your authority. Lord we do really love you so much. Give us wisdom and guidance as we go out to share the good news of your Son. Thank you for all the help you gave us in 2016 and we also thank you in advance for what your about to do for us in 2017. We give you all the praise, glory and honor that you deserve. I ask these things in Jesus name…Amen.
This is a video I did on what God has said to me in 2008 and 2016:
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
This is the most serious blog I have ever written! If we don’t understand just how much God loves us…nothing in our lives will make any sense to us. We will always be very fearful during hard trials and lose hope and become discouraged often. We’ll experience a lot of doubt and lose our faith. We may frequently be mad at God and blame Him for any calamites or sudden disasters.
From an early age I never knew what love was. I had never felt it nor could I interpret it to even respond to it. Since it was never available to me it caused me a great deal of grief in my life and affected my personality. By the time I was about 12 I tried to commit suicide. I thought of suicide very often because of feeling lonely and hopeless. I did learn about God Jesus and the Holy Spirit and took great comfort in talking to God as a child but I didn’t receive God’s love in my heart because I didn’t know how.
When I turn 18 I gave myself away looking for someone to say they loved me…but even if they had said it I wouldn’t have believed them. That was because I never knew how to receive love and I thought I was an unlovable mistake. I didn’t know how special I was to God or anyone else.
In my first marriage I thought someone loved me but since the marriage was violent from the first week of marriage…I was like…yup…I’m unlovable!
Sometime later I married again and this time to a man who was very very loving and for two thirds of my 41 years of marriage I didn’t think my husband really loved me. I told him he was just co-dependent on me. I was damaged goods. No real emotions. I couldn’t even express love in a regular way.
I didn’t think my Father God could love someone like me. I felt like I kept failing Him and disappointing Him. God tried to show me and tell me that He loved me but I just could not accept it. My husband also tried to convince me of this to no avail. I didn’t even feel….human. Maybe I was really a robot…and artificial life form. I was like Data the android on Star Trek the TV show…no emotion.
I wish I could say that there was on big ah ha moment when I realized that God really loved me but it has been a process. As I began to seek help for my issues with love I found my answers in God’s word and through a great deal of talking with God. I also found answers through my health issues. I have a very rare illness that was only diagnosed recently. It has greatly affected not only my health but my emotions and even my ability to learn and process information.
I can say with 100% assurance that my husband really loves me from the depths of his heart!!! I know it for sure! I have learned my own love language and since I’m not the greatest at verbally expressing love…you know like I’m not all touchy feel-ly…I’ve learned how in my own way how to express my love and emotions to him and others.
I’m sharing this very personal information about myself for the purpose of getting you to see how much God loves you.
For many reasons some of which I just shared with you I could not accept God’s love for me and thought He was so disappointed with me that He was trying to squish me like a bug. I felt that He was always punishing me. BUT I finally have realized that GOD REALLY LOVES ME AND ALWAYS HAS AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!God showed me how I was conceived in His heart and mind and his love for me was always there. I was thought of and born out of His love for me. Once I left His mind and came through the universe and down into my mom’s womb and then things changed for me because of original sin.
So now I had to go through the process of life to get put back right with God and I had to get a relationship with God. He already loved me but I needed to get to a point of loving Him. As human nature is….I needed to fall in love with God. It was hard because of all of my baggage and because I associated my earthly trials with love. I would say…”how can God really love me and let me go through all this stuff?” I had to separate all my earthly mess and learn this concept…” Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him”!!!!!!!! (Job 13:15) I had to learn to sing this song and mean it….”It is well with my soul”!!!!!! I had to learn to love God despite all the things that might be going on in my life. I had to learn that God loves me no matter what I do or don’t do.
Everybody wants to be loved. It’s a fact! This is truth! We look for love first from our parents and then from other people. We instinctively need it. God make us like that! Ok we know this but what do we do about it? We look around for it. The greatest love was always there but we didn’t realize that we needed to search for God’s love. We thought we really needed people love. Well…we do but that love is good but not perfect and will let us down occasionally. We needed a more steady and complete love so we keep searching. I was searching and then I hit the jackpot…God’s amazing deep, piercing, overflowing, comforting, fear removing, strengthening love. This love is really mind-blowing!!
I sing a song written by Kirk Franklin called “Real Love”. This song makes me cry because it really says what’s in my heart about God.
“Real Love”
Look in my eyes and you will see The way real love used to be When the flowers bloomed in the spring time And happiness was all mine It’s hard to let my feelings show But I’ve got to let somebody know About the love that Jesus has given me He loosed my shackles and set me free Is this a dream or is it reality? Have I finally found someone who loves me? I just want to know
[CHORUS:] Have you ever loved somebody Will you ever love somebody The way that Jesus loves you
Over and over I ask myself Could there ever be anyone else Who can give me so much joy and peace And make every day oh so sweet I searched all over couldn’t find one Til I met His only begotten Son At first I didn’t understand Until I heard about the nail prints in His hands Is this a dream or is it reality? Have I finally found someone who loves me? I just want to know I just want to know I just want to know
I get teary eyed a lot because every time I think about how much God loves me I get very emotional. You might ask how do I know God loves me and one answer I can give is one day when I was thinking about how hard my life was, God showed me like a movie playing in my mind all the times he bought me out of heavy trials, all the times I almost died, how He bought 5 of my kids from the brink of death, all the times He saved my family’s life and so on. I cried so hard to see this. One of my kids was born dead and I begged God in those moments to save her and He did. When my son was born and had a massive brain hemorrhage I was told he would never walk or talk. I begged God to heal Him and He did. God has done many miracles for me and I know He loves me.
The bible is jammed packed with God’s love for me. The more I study it the more I’m assured of this. The more I pray and interact with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit the more I know God loves me.
I think the big understanding about how much God loves us is to really understand this: God had a plan to create us, satan has a plan to destroy us and Jesus had a plan to redeem us! God had a plan to make us in His own image and to love us probably before satan was ever created. His plan was to have more children in addition to His only Son Jesus and He made us and adopted us into His family.
If you don’t realize how much Jesus loves you then you have no foundation for your life. You’ll keep searching and you may end up with some things that aren’t good for you.
What else could God possible do for you when He came down here Himself and laid down His life for you? Who would do that?
Because I have finally figured out how much loves me I’ve decide to commit the rest of my life to Him. I’ve offered my life and body as a living sacrifice to Him because it’s all that I have to give Him. When somebody loves you so much, it makes you want to do anything for them. God’s love consumes my thoughts day and night. Love makes you do that. My love for God is like this. When you first met you husband to be you were so in love. Then during the first year of marriage called the honeymoon period love is so exciting and passionate. My love for God is that intense all day everyday now. It keeps getting more and more powerful. I suffer from an illness, I never have enough money and have constant trials going on. So how is it that in my difficult life that I’m getting deeper in love with God? It’s because we have developed a close intimate relationship. I walk with God constantly. I’ve learned to pray without ceasing. God has perfect love for me but I have had to developed and grow my love for Him.
I need every person reading this to think about how close is your relationship to God. Is it personal and intimate?
Hosea 2:19-20 I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the Lord. And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.
Isaiah 54:5For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.
1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.
If God has your whole heart He has all of your soul and He has all of you!!!! Loving God is a full time commitment.
When we die and transition into our next life…I pray we aren’t real saddened to find out that we never really loved God the way that we should have for who He is and for what He has done for us. It is so much more meaningful to praise Him and love Him now before we see His face. It’s important to have faith now to believe all that the bible has told us and the Holy Spirit has confirmed to us by His supernatural power. This is our special time to show God how grateful we are for our lives and His love by committing ourselves to Him. This also has a benefit for us too.
1 John 4:16- So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.
In these verses above we can see that God’s love cast out fear. We can always know love no matter our situation. We will be able to say with confidence that it is well with our soul! We should not think that our trials are punishment from God! God doesn’t roll like that! There is a kind of old school word in the beginning of the verse and that is…”abide”. We don’t use that word a lot these days but it’s very important in our spiritual walk. That means to patiently wait in His presence without being moved and to stay in that place spiritually and emotionally. For me it means walking with the Lord. I interact with God on and off all day and night. I try to stay in constant communication Him.
We are human and the way humans operate is that we fall in love. This is how God made us. We fall in love with all kinds of things like babies, cars, collectables, songs and of course…people. Some love is topical, some brotherly love and some is agape love which is the highest form. So I think we need to fall in love with God and learn how to never fall out of love with Him.
We should love God in the highest form of love. This means we should love God deeper than any earthly relationship we have ever had!
So you might ask….how do we do that with an invisible God? These are my thoughts on the matter:
God has made this possible and has already set it up in our DNA, our brain and our soul to want to find Him and have a relation with Him. We need to believe/have faith in God!!!
The second way is to accept His Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Read, study and meditate on the Holy Bible.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6
Rely heavily on the Holy Spirit to reveal God to you and to help you to pray.
Learn to hear God’s voice.
Spend a lot of time talking to him.
Expect supernatural experiences with Him.
Think of God as everything to you in your life…sister, brother, mother, friend, comforter, husband, lover, counselor, doctor, your king, master, defender and your Father. He is so much more!
Walk with God!!
GOD IS SUPERNATURAL!!!!Look at Him that way and not like He’s human. He is unbelievably incredible! Out of this universe!! GET TO KNOW GOD IN HIS WORLD…IN THE SPIRIT!!!! Just because you are experiencing, sickness, financial difficulties, a bad marriage, job loss, difficult children, death, injury and so on, that has nothing to do with your love for God or His love for you. Love Him because of who He is period. In this way you will always experience a steady stream of love. We humans go up and down in our love with our earthly relationships. That’s why there are so many divorces and estranged relationships. WE DON’T NEED TO EXPERINCE ESTRANGMENT FROM GOD because we will feel depressed and hopeless!!! When we don’t feel God’s love….it’s not coming from Him, it’s coming from us…on our end! We need to find a way to get our booty back in His presence!!!! Yeah I said it like that because I feel very strongly about that point. We always blame God for the dry spells but it’s US!!
I’m writing this very long blog today because I’m VERY passionate about everyone getting all and the best of what God has to offer us. In the past I’ve blamed God for not answering my prayers and then I didn’t feel His love during those times. BUT I’VE LEARN TO LOVE HIM INTESNLY IN THE GOOD AND THE BAD TIMES. This is why I can honestly say it is well with my soul. It has been a long process of getting to this point. I tell you the truth, life trials hurt and sometimes really bad…but when I see myself in those trails I feel God’s love and it sustains me!!!! I feel He’s with me no matter what! And even if all goes south, help fades and I’m in the shadow of death and possibly facing my end, I have such joy knowing there is a place that has been prepared for me and that I will be free from all my pain and sorrows. I will be with the love of my life forever! I even get a new glorified body!
But until that day I’m going to continue to encourage as many people as I can about the greatest love in my life who is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Ya’ll be encouraged today…GOD LOVES YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!! Now take that to the bank and cash that truth!!!!!
Years ago I would have associated Christmas with my 6 children, gifts, church and family gatherings. But now that my children are grown, I’m much older, have survived cancer and have other health issues, I feel I need to go full blast for working to build the kingdom of God. This is where my head is at in reference to everyday living and especially during Christmas time. I see Christmas as a big opportunity to serve and to witness about Jesus Christ.
Jesus humbled Himself and came to earth. So we should humble ourselves to be like Him. Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 9:35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
God has given me my life. I’m so grateful to have consciousness and an understanding of who God is in relation to my life. I became a Christian at around 12 years old and I became a committed Christian at 32 years old. That is when my husband and I decided to become a servants of Jesus Christ and we have not stopped in 32 years since our full commitment to serve our Lord and Savior for the Kingdom Of God.
Jesus humbled Himself to serve mankind and I will do the same as Jesus. Something though has happened to me over the years. In the beginning of my life I wanted to grow up…get married…have a family and I’ve accomplished this.
I’m very grateful for the life I have led so far but I’ve come to realize a few things over the years:
Jesus Christ is everything to me. I am His slave. I am totally committed to following His example on how I should live my life.
I love my husband and family…but I love God so much more and I want to serve Him for the rest of the life that He has allowed me to live.
I live to serve others with every bit of strength I have in my body and with all resources that I have available.
Nothing in this world has any hold on me so that I won’t want to complete God’s will for my life to serve others.
I will stay focused on this goal and I will focus on Jesus at all times.
I will try to become much more discerning and sensitive to the Holy Spirits leading in my life.
Every holiday will be seen as another opportunity to serve others.
God can call me home at any time so until then I’m going to handle God’s business. I work for the Lord!
I will take time to worship Him and walk with God the Father, Son and Spirit all day and night.
I will look for every opportunity to share the good news with as many people as I possibly can by any means necessary. Such as tract, blogging and just speaking to people face to face.
I will really work on decreasing myself and increasing Jesus Christ!!!
I will not allow myself to make my own agenda but only work on God’s agenda.
I will make sure that God will get the Glory for all that I do.
There was a purpose for Jesus birth, there was a purpose for His life and there was a purpose for His death and resurrection.
There is a purpose for my life! I know my purpose!
My purpose is to love God.
My Purpose is to be like Jesus
My purpose is to be a slave to Jesus Christ.
My purpose is to work and build the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 2:16-17 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Treat everyone with high regard: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.… THIS IS MY PURPOSE AND THE GOAL OF MY LIFE….Help me Holy Spirit!
For me, Christmas is a time to serve the master. Yes I love being with my family and sharing gifts and all… but I keep all that in check. By in check I mean some decorating, some buying gifts but I don’t overdo it. Our family’s celebration is a birthday party for Jesus.
Christmas means the King of servants Jesus Christ came and we should use this as an opportunity to reflect on our servitude and try to be of service to others.
You can apply servitude to any holiday, activity or your life in general!
Why have I taken this the topic of servitude and applied it to my Christmas message?
I feel it was all a part of God’s original plan of how and why he created us. God planned to make human mortal beings from His mind. He made us His very own children. satan was so jealous about this that he tried to stop the plan. But God had a plan for us from before satan was even created. His plan was to create children in His own image and love them deeply. God would then have them eventually reign and rule with Him forever.
satan also knew we would be able to be redeemed and he would not be. God asked Jesus to carry out this important part of His Fathers plan to have more children beside Him by humbly sacrificing Himself by coming to earth. Christmas is our opportunity to celebrate the King of servant’s being born.
We need to see Christmas as the whole plan of God for our lives. This is why I feel God didn’t give us an exact date for Jesus birthday. I believe God wants us to understand His whole prophetic plan and comprehend just how much He loves us. This doesn’t mean we downplay Christmas but we have to up play God’s entire plan for our lives.
So as this Christmas holiday is now upon us let’s honor the servant by being a servant and bless the kingdom of God.
Like You Lord help me to be in Your holy will; Tell me what to do today; Lead me in Your righteousness; Make me more like You, I pray.
Guard me against this corrupting world, Its perverted priorities, temptations, too. Direct my mind toward Your commands, So I can focus my life on You.
Fill my heart with Your light and love, So I can assist those I see in need; With You as my role model, let me be Like You in thought and word and deed.
I love my Father God, I love my family and I love my country! I’m very thankful for all that God has done in my life. I have a prayer that’s close to my heart right now that I feel is very urgent. That prayer is for peace in the United States of America!
Heavenly Father, I ask for a spirit of peace to flow out across our country. Forgive us Lord and have mercy on us. You are a God of love and I pray for people to understand this about you. I pray that your children will spread your message and example of love. Thank you for all you do for us each and every day. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for sending Jesus to put us right with you. I ask this in Jesus name Amen.
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Luke 6:27 But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
I know you said to yourself….what in the world is Tanya talking about! Has she gone too far?
Isaiah 55:2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance.
My husband Rev. James A Nemley
My husband taught a powerful teaching this past Thursday and I prayed that people would take something home from the teaching. You know what I mean…that they would doggie bagged the word!
In the beginning the meaning of a doggie bag was that it was for a container used for scrap food that was taken home for one’s dog. But over the years it became a word used for a bag for extra food left over from a meal to be eaten at home. In the 1970’s this term for leftovers became very popular and a widely used accepted custom.
I’ve seen people at a family or public function take doggie bagging to a whole other level. These people know how to do it. Many people use the two plate method. You fill one plate with food and then place the second plate on top of that. Some will even do this a few times and cart it out to their car. The ultimate doggie bagger will bring their own container!! The goal here is to take home extra food for consumption at a later date.
So I was pondering this…when you hear a good teaching…one needs to bag it up and take it home so that you can eat it later. A good teaching can give you so much good food that it’s hard to absorb it all at that moment so you need to bag it by taking notes or recording it. That’s the bagging part. Then when you get home a little later…you can eat/study the rest of the food/the word. Then the whole word will really be inside of you and you would have devoured the entire word and hopefully hidden it in your heart. Psalms 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Hearing the word alone will not help you. We must live it! James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.Do what it says. The word needs to become alive in our heart and mind. The Holy Spirit uses our knowledge of the word to remind us to follow and live it. When we need help the Holy Spirit uses that word to bring us wisdom, guidance and comfort. But we need the word in us! This is why we must doggy bag the word straight from the bible and also when we hear good biblical teaching and preaching. Combine this with prayer and you will be on a sure path to spiritual maturity and growth. Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
I suggest you don’t use the paper plate method because you may lose some along the way. Get a container and really pack the food in there. When you get home you can take out that container of food and finish off that delicious meal. That food will feed your soul and bring nourishment to your body. Make sure you pack good food that is the right nutrition like the Bereans who examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. Be careful what you feed your spirit.
This is what I call…”doggy bagging the word!”
This is why we need to Doggy Bag the word:
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalms 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
I will be pointing out several points on the power of communion. The main power of communion for me is that God created me in His mind and heart and developed a whole plan to make me His child. He humiliated Himself and came down from His grandeur, majesty and gloriousness to offer us eternal life through Emanuel. Jesus was horribly murdered so He could put us right with God. It had to be a blood sacrifice for the reconciliation of our spirit back to God. Jesus lovingly did this for us and the power behind His act of kindness is so powerful that every time I celebrate communion I want it to really soak into my mind, soul and spirit. There is so much power in the blood that it can deeply change a person’s entire future. Jesus blood is miraculous!!!!!
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
The bread represents the body of Jesus which was broken just for us. The wine represents the New Covenant which is His blood that was shed just for us. God requested Jesus to sacrifice Himself so that we can be set free from the law. A blood sacrifice was needed to atone for our sin and Jesus was that sacrifice taking on our sin in His own body and shedding His blood on our behalf because we were spiritually dead.
Let’s remember that:
“GOD HAD A PLAN TO CREATE US, satan HAS A PLAN TO DESTROY US AND JESUS HAD A PLAN TO REDEEM US!!!!!!!!”
quote by Tanya Nemley
THE PLAN:
[Acts 2:22-28 Fellow Israelites, listen carefully to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man thoroughly accredited by God to you—the miracles and wonders and signs that God did through him are common knowledge—this Jesus, following the deliberate and well-thought-out plan of God,was betrayed by men who took the law into their own hands, and was handed over to you. And you pinned him to a cross and killed him. But God untied the death ropes and raised him up. Death was no match for him…]
What Jesus did was going to be so difficult that His soul was overwhelmed and He was in deep grief over this. Jesus was emotionally shaken!! Jesus was human and had real emotions.
Nobody can see God who is holy so Jesus would have to bear humanities sin/unholiness on Himself. I guess you can say that Jesus was scared to death to have to face bearing our sin by baring them in His own body. He also had to deal with the mysterious separation of Himself from His Father. Since Jesus is God only He and God would know exactly what happened in that moment in time to make Him so sorrowful and later ask why God had forsaken Him. Matthew 26:38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me. This was an excruciatingly painful and a very difficult task that Jesus accomplished for our benefit.
Jesus bore all our sin on Himself to the extent that He had to scream out in agony because of the separation from God that was happening to Him. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”Matthew 27:46) What god could or would do that for us?
Jesus completed His incredibly compassionate mission for our soul’s earthly and eternal welfare and He announced this to the world…When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30 Now we all can reap the reward of this glorious gift.
Please read this description below that was written hundreds of years before Jesus was even born. It tells of just how bad Jesus was going to be attacked, severely beaten and maimed even before the horror of His brutal crucifixion.
Psalms 22:12-18 TLB
I am surrounded by fearsome enemies, strong as the giant bulls from Bashan. 13 They come at me with open jaws, like roaring lions attacking their prey. 14 My strength has drained away like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart melts like wax; 15 my strength has dried up like sun-baked clay; my tongue sticks to my mouth, for you have laid me in the dust of death. 16 The enemy, this gang of evil men, circles me like a pack of dogs; they have pierced my hands and feet. 17 I can count every bone in my body. See these men of evil gloat and stare; 18 they divide my clothes among themselves by a toss of the dice.
Jesus was safe, secure and lived in a glorified state and He gave all that up for 31 years to be a human just to put us right with God!!!! He has commanded that we remember His act of extreme sacrifice until He comes back for us or we go to Him.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross! Jesus stepped away from His majestic position in heaven to be used by God to redeem us. This was an incredible thing for Jesus to do!!!!
Then Jesus needed to get back His glory after He humbled Himself by becoming human to save us. John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. Jesus lived without his glory for 31 for me!
Another reason for the importance and the power of communion is the cleansing it provides. What Jesus accomplished on the cross is like spiritual kidney dialysis! Dialysis is a medical machine that removes waste and impurities from the blood so that a person can live. Jesus blood can cleanse us when we ask for forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.THIS IS THE REAL POWER OF COMMUNION!!!!Romans 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. We must realize that we were enemies of God because of our unholiness/our unrighteousness and because of Jesus BLOOD we have been reconciled to God. THE POWER OF COMMUNION IS KNOWING THAT WE HAVE BEEN RECONCILLED TO GOD!!!!!
[Reconciled means: to restore to friendship or harmony, to bring into agreement, reestablish a close relationship between.]
We celebrate communion in church as a body of Christ…but I like to celebrate communion at home by myself. I celebrate it about twice a week. At home I can spend more time searching my heart for any unrepented sins and I can take time to really meditate on the significance of the meaning of why I’m celebrating communion. This is something that I like to do and I’m not telling anyone else to do this. This is what I feel led to do.
A lot of people have “I will never forget” signs on their cars for various reasons but I have this phrase engraved in my heart because I will never forget as long as I live the sacrifice Jesus made for me.
JESUS I’LL NEVER FORGET
Jesus I’ll never forget, what you’ve done for me Jesus I’ll never forget, how you set me free Jesus I’ll never forget, how you brought me out Jesus I’ll never forget, nooo nev-er
THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD
Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood Would you o’er evil a victory win? There’s wonderful power in the blood
There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb
Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
I don’t think there is one person in the USA that hasn’t given some thought to our upcoming presidential election. It seems a little confusing to some as to what direction to go in because both candidates have some skeletons in the closet and have different addenda’s for our country. We must vote for who we think will be the best at serving the people in the USA and then we have to accept the decision and continue to pray over the governing authorities.
I WILL SUBMIT TO THE LAWS OF THIS LAND!
1 Peter 2:13-17 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. 16 Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. 17 Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT WE MUST PRAY TO GOD FOR OUR LEADERS!
1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people 2for kings and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.…
I WILL NOT BE SHAKENED BY ALL OF THIS!
I am convinced that God can take care of me no matter whose president and God will take care of you also. Psalms 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
I BELONG TO GOD AND I’M UNDER HIS CARE!
Psalms 96:6-7 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
So for me I will cast my vote on Election Day for one of the two candidates and then begin to pray for our new president. I will also continue to work for the Kingdom of God to build it. I will not be fearful as to what will happen to the USA but I will put my trust in my Father God to take care of me, my family and our whole country. I bow down to no man….but I will bow very low and humble myself before Almighty God who watches over me.
Go out and CAST your vote for a president but CAST all your care on God because He’s the only one who can really take care of you!!!.

This is my personal collection of thoughts and writings, mainly from much smarter people than I, which challenge me in my discipleship walk. Don't rush by these thoughts, but ponder them.
