How merciful is God?

Matthew 27:44 The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.

So you think you’re a dag gone King or something.  You’re a piece of trash you idiot!!!

Luke 23:39-43  One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

How merciful is our God?

Son of God…have mercy on me!!  Please!

As I was reading and pondering the events of the crucifixion of Jesus I was thinking about how the two thieves crucified with Christ were bad mouthing, disrespecting (AKA dissing) Jesus. Both were involved in the insulting but something happened to just one of them. He had a change of heart, a change of mind and the recognition of who God was. He also recognized the kingdom of God. Wow…you would think it would take a lot of teaching to understand the kingdom of God and the justice of God too. He didn’t have time to read a bible or even be witnessed to by anyone. His time for being alive was almost gone. How did he figure all this out in the last minutes of his life?

I believe the power of the Holy Spirit was right there revealing truth and offering mercy from God to these two men. God was trying to offer salvation/eternal life to them right up to the bitter end but only one would accept the gift of salvation. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) This promise extends throughout a person’s entire life right down to the last second.

Remember Me Jesus!!!  Please!

I was so moved in my heart as I pondered the fact of God’s mercy and amazing grace and I will never stop praying for people that I’ve been praying for salvation for years. I also realized how many chances God gives everyone to make it to heaven. GOD IS SO MERCIFUL!!!

The death and resurrection of Jesus is for whosoever!! Whosoever means any person. Any person who will declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Jesus could have been crucified by himself but I believe God included the other two men to make a point.  God used this opportunity to show His mercy by offering forgiveness for the thieves on the cross.  He also showed mercy for the murderers present and for all of us humans who need a Savior.

(We should never assume anyone went to hell when they died.  I have been near death a few times and even though I was a Christian the first thing that came to my mind was to ask God to forgive me of my sins.  It’s a natural instinct that comes on you in the face of extreme danger. I know not all people will feel that way and they will die in their sinful state.)

This holiday season… lets remember how merciful God is. Jesus death and resurrection should affect us all day every day!  He commands us to remember!

Jesus offers us LIFE eternal. Thank you Jesus!!

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday?

Reflections on my investigation about Easter/Resurrection day

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

RESSURRECTION DAYbest Let’s start with the word…Easter!

I will no longer be calling Resurrection day… “Easter” Sunday. In researching information for a Resurrection Sunday message for my blog I found out new information to me… that Easter is a pagan holiday name for the goddess of spring time named “Eastre or Eostre” which is celebrated on…you guessed it…Easter Sunday. This goddess loved rabbits and eggs were part of the spring celebration representing fertility. This is new to me and this information will change my thinking and words I used from this day forward.

I do celebrate Resurrection Sunday in church and later on we have dinner with all the trimmings with our family and friends. I know the Lord has no problem with that because He knows the truth of my heart and mind that I’m celebrating Him!

God’s got plans for you…let Him have control.

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

There is a song with a line that says……”And if you wanna hear God laugh, tell him your plans.”
God has plans for us…..are we following those plans or are we doing our own thing?

It says in Proverbs 20:24 A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

I’m gonna tell you…I don’t know what’s best for me….I act like I do and then I get myself in all kinds of trouble.
I’m married to a very wise man. Many people seek him out for his counsel on many different areas of life, business, etc. I seek him out many times too and when he gives me advice and I don’t…

CHURCH HURT !

church hurt 1

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I hear the words “church hurt” so frequently that I wanted to talk about it since I’m well acquainted with the term. It’s not a good feeling to experience church hurt because people become like family so when there is a problem in this relationship it can cut very deeply. Let’s first explain what church hurt is. It’s when the leadership, people in spiritual authority or church members knowing or unknowingly cause heartache to another member. This can be done by words, by slighting or backstabbing. It’s very painful to endure and can deeply affect the person, their family and friends. It can even lead to a church split.

It seems that this common trend is happening more and more. It’s a very old trick that the devil uses to divide the body of Christ and causes disunity. So this is in fact a spiritual battle. This problem is so common that I’m sure there would be enough books to fill a football stadium. The same enemy that affected the first humans and tried to separate them from God forever is the same enemy that is trying to separate us from God and each other.church hurt

What are some of the reasons one would cause church hurt?

  1. Jealousy
  2. Needing to be in control
  3. Lack of love
  4. The person doing the hurting is really a non-Christian
  5. Lack of obedience to the word of God/ lack of fear of God
  6. Power hungry, prideful and arrogant
  7. The person has mental issues
  8. Poor training or leadership abilities
  9. Trouble maker/bully
  10. Rebellious spirit

Whatever the reason it is not appropriate in the house of the Lord.

We must remember that God gave the church to Jesus and Jesus must be at the forefront of everything in our lives including our place of worship. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossian 1:18

How we act reflects on Jesus. Jesus is the head of the church and not only does church misbehaving cause disunity in the body but it does a much more damaging thing. It’s a very poor example to the children of the church because they can sense what’s going on and it can lead a lasting impression on them. Plus it’s very damaging for trying to win souls to the Lord.

church hurt 2

Many years ago I invited an unsaved family member to my church and they picked up on the choir mess. They took note of the rolling of eyes in the choir, the whispering and such. What they told me was what I knew to being going on in the choir at that time. Many people dropped out of the choir and even left the church because of the choir mess.

I can tell you for sure that God is not pleased with this stuff at all because of this scripture verse:

1 John 4:20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

Everything that Jesus Christ had ever done in His brief earthly life was motivated by Love. His love for His Father and His love for us!!! Everything I do in my life is also motivated by my love for my Father God. I want so much to please Him and I know the only way to do anything for Him is out of Love for Him and love for my neighbor. I admit I don’t always get this right or do it well but I can tell you that my motivational force is to please the Lord.

I’m going to keep it real simple here because this is not a complicated concept that God has given us to follow and do.

church hurt 3

These two scripture verses sums up what God expects and demands from us:

  1. John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.
  2. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Now as I always say…”God don’t play”. This is what He has to say about you if you behave un-Christian like:

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

I ain’t gonna say nothin’ behind God’s word here! I know you get it….I hope.

church hurt 4

What can I do about this problem?

Now if this unfortunate thing called “church hurt “does happen to you…What can you do or what are your alternatives?

  1. Do this: (love)

But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6: 26-27

To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-9

  1. Do this too: (forgive)

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:21-22

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

    3. Do this also: (pray)

bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:28

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 Peter 5:7

Talk to the leadership about the problem. If the leadership is the problem you will have to pray to see if the Lord wants you to confront them. Maybe the alternative solution is for you to leave the ministry after a period of time of trying to work things out. It’s a difficult thing anyway you look at it. So very wisely try to resolve this problem.

I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT IN NO WAY SHOULD CHURCH HURT DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR RELATIOSHIP WITH THE LORD!!! DON’T USE THIS AS A REASON TO STOP PRAYING, READING YOUR BIBLE OR WORSHIPING GOD!!!

Now that you have come to the conclusion after much prayer and you feel you have to leave…what now? As crushed as you feel I’m sure you’ll need someone to talk this over with just so you can release your hearts pain…but be very wise and find a trusted Christian friend not in your same circle of past church friends and just share and pray. You will really need this if you’re not married because married couples have each other to cry the blues with.

church hurt 5

Pray for God’s guidance and look for the Holy Spirit’s leading

Start researching about other churches or ministries that you can attend until you find something else that will suit your needs. Look on line and ask friends for suggestions. Don’t be in a hurry to join a new ministry but be wise and pay attention to what your needs are, the doctrine and the overall vibe of the body. Remember everyone’s very nice at first. Take your time…ask questions and be discerning without going into FBI mode.

Nobody ever forgets past heartaches, hurts and pains…it kinda stays with you….forever…but you can get PAST it for sure. You need to build on your love for the Lord and keep it moving.

Jesus was dissed by His earthly friends and followers big time… but what did He say at His death… “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. As they were painfully killing Stephen in the bible he said this… “Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.”

There is a lot of work to be done in the kingdom of God so let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Hang in there!! Don’t faint!

Running Into Gods Arms

Father God 5

I recently suffered great heartache and it made me run straight into my Father Gods arms. I have to admit that for a very brief moment I thought of calling my husband, a friend or family member like I usually did in the past at the first sign of trouble but did not. But now in the later years of my life I’ve developed a habit of running straight to my Father’s arms. It has taken many trials of God training me to accomplish this biblical lesson in my life.

[ OUR TRIALS SHOULD MAKE US RUN STRAIGHT INTO OUR FATHER GODS ARMS!]

We humans love emotional and physical contact from other human beings when we suffer because God has made us that way. This is a good thing… that we are able to console and be there for one another. I’ve always desired that human contact when a trial comes. I didn’t realize that I should ALWAYS contact God first and then have total faith in my Father God’s ability to help me in my time of need BEFORE contacting others.Father God 1

I remember when my kids were little that whenever they hurt themselves or something troubled them they would come running to me. One of my adult children admitted to me that when they are hurting they still long for their mother.

Our trials and troubles should make us run into our heavenly Fathers arms just like a child. Why should we run to God? 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. God cares about everything that pertains to us because He is our Father! This is a fact straight from the bible!Father God

We should run to God because… Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. WOW!!!

THERE IS NOBODY IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE THAT CAN HELP YOU EXCEPT GOD!!!!!!! Psalms 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

God can and does use others to bless us but it says in Psalms 121:2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

The older I get the more I find that I’m relying on God more and more for my needs. As I look back over all the battles I’ve overcome and victories I’ve gotten … I see God’s glory shining through it all. He was in everything with me and always gave me a way out! Every time! I can count on Jesus! I can depend on the Holy Spirit! I can trust in the Lord with all my heart knowing that He will never leave my side or abandon me!!!

So I run, run, run to the Lord in the time of trouble. I boldly go to God in prayer and sometimes I even go tearfully and quietly …but I go to God! I do ask others to pray for me…but I go first to Father God!

Father God 4

Psalms 121

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

[THERE IS SAFETY AND COMFORT IN THE ARMS OF GOD!]

Father God 3

The rendition of this song “Run to you” really touched me.

I need to share this with U

I just got a startling revelation about what is going on spiritually right now. Many years ago in my prayer times with God He told me to not pray for the normal way we have a revival. He said that He, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are going to do their own thing to bring about changes with their children and their creations. Over the many years since God shared that with me… I have seen a lot of unusual things happen on this earth and not in a good way. Tragedies and catastrophes have affected many people including myself. Hurricane Sandy and the murder of my brother in laws son are a few that have affected me personally.

Today as I was pondering some things… I felt this startling feeling in my spirit … “Christians are waking up”!!! It really made me feel very excited in my spirit. I feel an awakening is truly happening. In fact…I know it!  Those who have ears have heard what the spirit is saying and they are waking up. They are becoming alert and more bold in the faith. It’s really happening  and occurring all over the world.

I don’t know about you… but I’ve been being attacked by the enemy a lot these days and I have felt that the Lord is telling me to “press forward”. Because of this pressure testing…it has kept me in Gods face all day every day for my strength! I may be having a lot of trials but…I have gotten MANY victories too so I KNOW WHAT MY GOD CAN DO!!! God’s been getting a lot of glory out of my life!

I’m pushing everything that’s in my way out so that I can obey God’s will for my life even more. The return of Christ is VERY near and Christians must really pick up the pace for the great commission now.

This is a serious time and all Christians should be walking very close with God day and night. WE SHOULD KNOW THE BIBLE WELL AND BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. If you are not there right now or it’s been a long time since you’ve studied the bible….go back to bible basic’s. Refresh yourself!

To the Christians who are on fire and are being obedient to the Lord. I first pray for strength for you and protection for you and your family. Stand under the anointing that is being pouring down over Gods vessels right now. A steady stream of oil is flowing. I see in the spirit people who are bowing down before our Father and humbling themselves. I see God anointing saints for specific task for building up of His kingdom. I see saints that have been pruned but are in a time of growth right now. I hear the words…renewal and dedication and determination.

This is a great time for Christians because I smell victory!!!!! Many people will be coming to the Lord! Not necessarily from a big revival but because you personally shared your faith with someone. Because someone saw Christ in your life and wanted what you have.  Because you shared the word of God.  Because of your boldness!  Because you followed the leading of the Holy Spirit!

Those who have spiritual ears…please hear what the Spirit of God is saying to you.

Matthew 24:42-44

42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know, this that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Does God REALLY love me?

God Loves you! Happy Valentines Day!

heart jesus loves meThere was a time that I didn’t know how much God loved me.
I wasn’t’ sure of His love for me at all. I couldn’t see it or feel it.
Today when I was praying I was feeling His love so heavily.
I asked myself…”how do I really know that God loves me?”

Of course we know because the bible says He loves us.
But it is way deeper than that.

The first reason I know God loves me is because the more that I have studied about God and found out who He really is…the more that knowledge became real in my spirit and revealed truth to me!!!!!  The power of the Holy Spirit supernaturally confirmed this directly to me!!  God has a supernatural way that He communicates with me. I know that I know!

So for me….the more knowledge that I know about God…the more I feel His love and why He let Jesus…
