Reflecting on the Holiness of God

holiness of God 5

1 Samuel 2:2 “There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

I’ve blogged 5 times on the subject of the Holiness of God.  This is my 6th one.  I’m obsessed with it!!  Why? Because It’s who God is!  If you don’t understand His holiness….you really won’t understand the concept of our spiritual lives and who our Father God really is.

Let me put this another way….GOD AIN’T LIKE US!!!!holiness of God2

What was God like before humanity met God?  He was Holy and different from anyone in the universe.  God was NEVER born!  He was never bad/sinful/evil.  He was and has always been Holy and set apart from any other principalities or humans. He’s pure perfection!  So let’s get all of that out of the way.

Before humanity met God He was and still is on His throne and in all of His Glory, splendor and perfection. There are really no human words to explain His greatness or holiness.  We can understand it by looking at us and knowing He is nothing even close to us except He is a spirit and we have a spirit in us also.  We can’t see God because He is a spirit and we can’t even see our own spirit within us.  God doesn’t have skin or a human type form. (He can get one if He wanted to though…He’s God and can present Himself in any form He wants to!  Can I just say…”Jesus?” Virgin birth or the time He was a burning bush…Hello!) With this ability to transform Himself into anything He wants, it enables Him to interact easily and convienently with us humans.

He wants us to be holy because this is His nature and this should be our nature too. When we are holy we are able to really get into the deep things of God because of being sanctified.  Holiness is who God is and this is what Jesus is working out in us to be.  Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the ability that He gave us to have God’s Holy Spirit dwell in us… this gives us the opportunity to obtain…holiness.  We can’t seem to maintain this holiness though because of our sinful nature or flesh.  (That’s why we need the Holy Spirit helping us.)

holiness od God 4

1 Peter 1:16 Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

God doesn’t have this problem because He is holy ALL THE TIME.  This is what sets Him apart from everyone.  No one can ever be like Him except Jesus when He became man and that was because Jesus is God.

To understand the holiness of God you must:

    1.  Study the scriptures and learn about God.
    2.  Meditate and ponder on what you’ve learned.
    3. Listen to what the Holy Spirit is revealing to you about your own sinful nature.
    4. Think out of the box about God but don’t be unscriptural with it.  In other words, God is very unique and not your average everyday experience.
    5. You must be a Christian and believe in who God/Jesus and the Holy spirit is.
    6. Want to know more about God.
    7. Not be fearful of His supernaturalness. God is not going give you knowledge that you are afraid to know and experience.

Once you put into practice the things above, then you will start to see how wrenched your life would be without Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps you to become aware of your own sinfulness and how much you needed Jesus. You’ll notice how much your own flesh wants to do what it wants to do. When you think about God you will see how we are nothing like Him and that we need to be very close to Jesus so that we will be in Gods will. In other words our own inadequacies can reveal Gods holiness to us.  The more we see who we really are the more we see who God really is…. very very Holy.  We couldn’t even hold our heads up if it wasn’t for Jesus…and even then we better remain….HUMBLE!

The closer I come to understanding the holiness of God…

  1. The more I want to do right by Him.
  2. The more I love His purity and unique nature.
  3. The more respect I have for His power and authority.
  4. The more I fear His justice.
  5. The more I appreciate what Jesus did for me on that cross and for His constant intercession on my behalf.
  6. The more I know I need the Holy Spirit exposing my sins to me.
  7. The more Gods Glory and Majesty are magnified to me in the form of His holiness.

Gods Holiness is a mystery to us humans. It’s almost impossible to hold on to it in your mind because our brains capacity to analyze this information is just not within our reach. The bible and the Holy Spirit’s revelation of God’s direction for our lives is the only way for us to try to decipher even the tiniest drop of understanding enough for us act accordingly.

Do we want to be Holy? Nobody can even see God unless we are! Jesus Christ will present us faultless to God. Jesus keeps us from stumbling and making total fools of ourselves. He cleans us up when we’re spiritual dirty.

Psalms 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

You know …. If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Savior…you can talk bad about God and you’ll still be ok….you can curse  Jesus and you can still  live….but when you do those things to the Holy Spirit…you betta’ run and hide!!!. There is something about the Holiest nature of God that you just can’t mess with. You could lose your eternal life in heaven. (Hell is eternal too ya’ know!)

Who is God? God is love…God is just and God is Holy. Just because God is loving and Holy doesn’t mean that there won’t be hell to pay for rejecting His Son. His Holiness also make Him very just. God don’t play!!! He’s Holy! His holiness makes Him off the chain… to put it into today’s language. I’m sure there are other principalities and powers in the universe….but God is so set apart from any other being that He is untouchable and incomparable to anything past, present or future.

holiness of god 6

So this world…earth betta’ recognize the creator!!! The Church betta’ get their eyes on the creator! We betta’ recognize His holiness and bow down as low as we can and humble ourselves and recognize who He really is and not like what everyone has imagined Him to be like.

Until the Church…His adopted Children stop being narcissistic because many preachers/teachers has us focusing on our needs, our happiness and ourselves….we are not going to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit manifesting the Glory of God leading us to be as Holy as our wonderful God is. Just because you haven’t been exposed to or don’t understand the holiness of God is no excuse to not live right. The Holy Spirit lives in all true believers and I’m asking you to listen to that inner voice.   He will take what you know about the truth of God’s word and reveal it to you so that you can repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness and live that holy life.

Those who grab on to holiness will experience the joy of their salvation when God gives them a visitation of Himself exposing the results of their desire to live a holy and sanctified life.

Father God…please open our ears, our heart and our minds to the knowledge of your word about who you are. Please help us to receive all that your Holy Spirit can reveal to us about you. Lord we want to go deeper in you. I pray for those who are your children and are fearful of going deep in you. I pray for those who never even thought to go deeper in you. Revive us oh Lord I pray in Jesus name…amen.

Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Holiness of God

September 11, 2011 A Day of Reflection

I wrote this in 2011 but it’s still what I feel in 2015. I will never forget! God bless all today who was so affected by this tragedy.

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

I knew that I wanted to write something for today…..but what?…..what could I possibly say?….Could my words help or add to anything? Honestly I don’t think so …….but I do want to say something.

That day is a permanent part of our history in the United States of America and there is not one American who will ever forget what happened to so many innocent people.

What are people thinking after 10 years? Looking at the news this week and hearing the stories again I must say for me it still hurts and I can’t believe that it happen 10 years ago. Not only do I still feel the hurt but I have to deal with the terrorist who caused this pain. I am still working on forgiving and praying for them because they are still an everyday threat.

Many people are still angry and questioning God ……still asking why?…

The above story shook me deep in my heart as well as several other news stories that have been just as shocking.  The things that happens to aborted babies…..  things that have changed in recent laws changing Gods original plan for mankind and so on are unimaginable.

The bible has predicted this all very clearly but yet it’s still hard for my mind to wrap itself around the horror of these stories.  God has a plan and I trust Him.  I will obey Him and do what He ask of me pertaining to my job on earth and I have my eye on what He’s promised me for my faithfulness in my future.

Even with all the bad news and doing the things listed in the scriptures below and then some….God is still on the throne and Master of the entire universe!  Fear not!

2 Timothy 3:1-6

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

THE WHOLE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS GLORY!!!!!

Psalms 19:1 [For the choir director; a psalm by David.] The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky displays what his hands have made.

This weekend my husband, and I went to the Peconic Herb farms in Wading River NY with our son Noah who is a photographer. He took these beautiful pictures. Seeing these scenes with my eyes in person was breathtaking. Looking at the photos freezes the beauty in my mind.peconic 5

Sometimes I look at the beauty on this earth and it makes me cry. Yesterday as I was pondering this I asked God…”why don’t the unsaved believe when they see the beautiful things on earth?” I said to God…these bodies are so intricate…all the species of animals….who can do this but you? Why don’t they believe in you?

Then reality sets in and I realize God gave us free will and that people have the choice to believe or not! My heart cries out to the Lord on their behalf!!! I pray and cry…pray and cry. I pray… “have mercy Lord!”

So in the meantime…Gods handiwork is screaming out His name loud and clear. I have noticed His creativity…what about you?

Isaiah 6:3 And one called out to another and said,“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts,

The whole earth is full of His glory.”

THE WHOLE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS GLORY!!!!!

gray

God speaks I listen….and share. I feel to share this with you:

God is not playing! This is very serious!

I saw a vision of gray…the color gray. I see it very clearly. I asked God what does this mean and He said gray areas. Revelations 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth. This is a gray area…not the only one but it’s one. If you say that you are a Christian and are a born again, blood washed, Holy Spirit filled, forgiven child of God and Jesus Christ is your personal Lord and Savior then… I hope and pray that you are not in the gray area. All of God’s word and all of His commands should be kept and acted upon and obeyed with no exceptions. Nothing has been changed or altered in the bible. EVERYTHING still stands! Every last word. If you are in a gray area….been silent on biblical truth, tolerating what you know God wants and what He doesn’t like….this will have repercussions in our communities and the world. We are not to sweep sin under the carpet or ignore it. We are not to look the other way and let it slide.

1Peter 1:16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

If we truly understand who God is and His Holiness we would never be in that gray area. The older I get and the deeper in God I get…I’m learning…DON’T MESS WITH GOD! I’m also learning all that God has done for me and how much HE loves me. This is why I stay motivated to go all out for Him. The fact is I’m His child…in fact He owns me! The fact is my whole life is and has always been about HIM! This ain’t my world or my home. I owe God everything including ME!!!! People who meet me know which side of the line I stand on. People think I’m religious….spiritual…over the top with my faith….. That’s me not in the gray area.

The other day I was at the gas station and a Muslim man came out of little booth where people go to pay for gas and he went over to the side of the building and put his prayer mat on the ground and knelt down and prayed and worshipped his god in front of a packed gas station. I didn’t think he was over the top. I just thought he wasn’t in a gray area of his faith. Either you follow and be obedient in what you believe or you don’t.         John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.

In 2008…God revealed to me that He was going to do His own thing in this world. I knew what God was going to do …but now everybody…saved and unsaved knows. There has been a change in every aspect of human life. I’ve heard many people talking about it. With all that’s going on in the world these days my husband and I feel the need to pray every morning for our safety and that of our family.

We also follow the lead of the Holy Spirit so that we are careful not to get into the gray areas.  We’re human and we have veered off the path…but because of the Holy Spirit in us and our desire to please God we get back on track.

It ain’t easy though!! Our flesh wants to be lazy, and complacent. We can also so scared of what others may say or think so we remain…silent. Our silence is a gray area.

Well what is going to happen to our country and our world? Exactly what the bible itself has predicted. It’s happening and will continue to do so. I hear in my spirit much wailing and crying and I see sadness, mourning, suffering and more. This is why we can’t be in the gray area because God will be using us for His great commission and we will be ministering like never before.  We need to step out of our comfort zone and be bold for God.  I have a blog and recently it has been blowing up. My blog data lets me know what people are searching for on Google to  find their way to my blog. 2 of my most popular blogs are…”I’m going to kill myself” and also…”I’m so stupid”. Many of my other blogs on suffering and about who God are just blowing up also. People are using Google to find answers about God. My blog is almost in every country around the world now. People are searching for God, help and answers.

Are you available for the masters use or are you in the ….GRAY AREA?

Message given to me by the Lord in 2008…Put your spiritual ears on

God gave me this message in 2008. I’m feeling this and more for now 2015. I’m feeling another strong message and will be praying for God to speak .
God ain’t playin’ these days! He’s speaking and those who have ears listen to what the Spirit is saying…….to you.

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Dear readers,

This morning I prayed and had no message. I waited on the Lord for a while listening for His voice as to what to write today. He then spoke and said give them the message I gave you in 2008. I though it was long but He said give it. So you must know me by now…God speaks I listen…..and obey. I got this message in 2008 when I had 10 months of extreme prayer for revival. It was so intense that I got sick from being so drained. I prayed and cried before the Lord for souls. I believe God answered me clearly and now I’m watching and waiting and I see His plan is activated. Please always pray about any message that someone shares with you, me including me. Always verify everything in your bible.

In His Service,

Tanya Nemley

Abortion…Sensitive subject…My thoughts

A lot of talk about abortion recently. My blog on this subject is from deep in my heart and very emotion for me.

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

I want to talk about voluntary abortion which is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy and why I’m personally against it.

My views on this come from a very personal thing that happened to me with one of my pregnancies. After having three girls… I was barren for about 5 years and my husband and I decided we wanted a son. After much prayer…the Lord gave me a miracle, opened my womb again, gave me a son and told me to name him Joshua. I’m a prayer intercessor (A person who prays for the needs of others). One day while I was pregnant with Joshua… I had a very strong sense of his spirit within me.  I was in very intense prayer and I felt my son’s spirit agreeing with me in prayer.  It was a very powerful moment for me. This was my first…

Don't believe everything

…….Or read without checking for truth.

Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

{Ya’ll know I love you….right. Well something is really pressing on my mind that I need to share with you.}

The scripture above was one of the first scriptures that really caught my attention early in my walk with the Lord. I have based my life’s study of God’s word on it.Don't believe everything 3

WHATEVER YOU HEAR OR READ ADDRESSING THINGS IN THE BIBLE…CHECK IT OUR FOR YOURSELF!!!!!

I hear MANY people quoting preachers, teachers and public speakers and many of these people follow different doctrines. My husband has taught me that whoever I listen to that I should go to their statement of faith, check out their church or ministry and check out where they got their credentials. I have discovered many things by doing this that are contrary to what I believe.

There are also questionable things that these people say that are backed up by audio or video recordings. I know that nobody can present the gospel 100% all the time…but if there are too many questionable things that are not scriptural or out of context…I won’t listen to that person or follow their ministry. I can’t allow wrong information in my spirit because I’m going through too much and life is too hard for me to play with truth.

I’m not going to name pastors or ministries I don’t follow because I feel if people search the scriptures for themselves for truth and not just follow what is being said or taught…they will figure it out.  Ask questions, search, study, discern, use wisdom and pray about all you receive into your eyes, ears and spiritman.

There are a few really good bible teaching ministries out there and some very good bible commentaries. The bible is an incredible supernatural book all on its own and the Holy Spirit is also there as our helper to bring understanding.

Don't believe everything 1

Would you go to a questionable doctor for your brain or open heart surgery? Heck no!! You would want that specialist to be as exact and on point as they can be!

It takes time and work to study the bible. The spiritual demonic forces of this world will try to get you off track. They will doctor stuff up so that it sounds correct and very spiritual….but beware of this deception!!! Search the scriptures for yourself. Your spiritual life depends on you using your free will to follow his will and God said study the word, search for truth and hide it in your heart.

If you do this you will not get a diploma or degree…but you will:

  1. Have power to overcome and get the victory.
  2. Know how to walk with God.
  3. Know exactly the plans God has for you and what He requires in your life.
  4. Be secure in God’s love for you.
  5. Have assurance of what Jesus did for you on the cross.
  6. Have knowledge and wisdom over right and wrong in your life.
  7. Know where you’re going and have hope to hang in there for your great future with God.

This is a time of great persecution for the church. There are many catastrophes happening in people’s lives and on this earth. This is no time to be weak in your knowledge of God’s word. This is a time to obey God’s word. His word says we should be out here spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and making disciples…but how can we do that if we are not having personal revivals because we don’t know God’s word or His will for ourselves. WE ARE THE CHURCH….WE ARE GOD’S ADOPTED AND CHOSEN PEOPLE!   We owe God everything! We owe God us! We are not our own. Our whole life is all about Him. We will know Him when we know God’s word rightly divided. Not man’s interpretation about Gods word but Holy Spirit guided truth of His word scripture by scripture and cross referencing text.

Start fresh today. Make a commitment to reflect on where you go to church and what is being taught.  Also who you are listening to and what you reading.  Are you on the right track for your spiritual development and growth?  Is that word being rightly divided?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

A Very Merry Heart

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine………

Ok…so I’m going there…..something a little controversial because there are few scriptures in the bible of God laughing. This is one where God was laughing at foolishness (Psalm 2:4). Well hey… foolishness is a good thing for Him to laugh at…as long as God is not laughing about my foolishness.

As the scripture above says that a merry heart is good…does that mean that God cracks jokes and falls off His throne in side-splitting laughter? Well He may do that I don’t know. Personally I don’t think He does….but we really don’t know all that God does or doesn’t do.

I’m sure…well not that sure…Jesus laughed when He was here on earth.  I’m assuming this because He was human and there are scriptures in the bible of Jesus showing emotions like crying and anger to name a few… so…

A mighty woman of God…Aunt Mae!

Aunt Mae

Aunt Mae and me. She spoke spiritual life into me! She would say to me…”Now Tanya…God can do anything but fail. He will never let you down”.

This is my Aunt Mae and this VERY godly woman was a big influence of faith in God in my life. I saw Jesus in her!!  She loved everyone and she was there for everyone who needed help physically and financially!!  She had so much faith and prayed for many people including me and my children.

Aunt Mae didn’t get much schooling. She learned to read by reading the bible.  As an adult her vision was very poor so she memorized the scriptures and quoted them to everyone.  She shared her faith with family, friends and strangers whether they wanted to hear it or not. She was the pastor of a Pentecostal church and never married until God blessed her with a husband when she was in her 80’s.

Aunt Mae outlived her husband.  In her 90’s she had to have her leg amputated.  She wanted to go back to live in her home and with one leg she climbed the long flight of stairs to her apartment on top of her church.  God had shown her many miracles over the years and she knew that He wouldn’t let her down.

For many years now…..she’s been in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.  I celebrate her life and legacy.

She lived how God wants us to live in His word and I pray that I’m following in her footsteps and being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit in my life.

I thank God for my…Aunt Mae!
