The Holy Spirit is not an “it”

The Holy Spirit is as I have said is the third person in the trinity or the Godhead.  I just want to emphasize that the Holy Spirit is His own person… as Jesus is and God is.  They each have their own distinct personalities.  The Holy Spirit is not to be referred to as…”it” or anything other than who He is.  There is God the Father…God the Son…and God the Holy Spirit.

Our God is a very unique being to us humans.  He is three persons in one being.  He is not three gods but one God.

Please read my archived blog on the trinity  https://godspeaks-i-listen.com/2011/07/12/shocking-truth%e2%80%a6god-is-three-persons%e2%80%a6-really/

Message impressed on my heart from the Lord

I feel the Lord speaking to me very strongly.  He is telling me to tell everyone about being filled His Holy Spirit.  I believe the Lord is about to do something very big.  Many people are praying for a revival…but we need to be open fully to God’s Holy Spirit.   Since it is Their power (Father Son and Holy Spirit) that we are seeking for this revival.  We should have our hands out and cupped…ready to receive from the Lord.

We need the Holy Spirit…we need an outpouring.  We need to educate ourselves about the Holy Spirit through God’s word and have an expectant heart.

The Holy Spirit is powerful!!!  I need more of Him You need more of Him!

God is making this very clear to me to share……we need the Holy Spirit!  We need Him today!

Please…seek an outpouring of Gods Holy Spirit.  Those who have ears listen to what the Spirit is saying.

Come Holy Spirit…Come…Come…Come…Come…Come…………….

The Holy Spirit is so incredible to me

I want to blog today about the Holy Spirit again because He is so important to our daily lives. He’s so important that Jesus told His disciples not to go to Jerusalem to start spreading the gospel…but to wait for the Holy Spirit.  They needed His knowledge, wisdom and power…and so do we.

Acts 1:4,5 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

We are disciples of Jesus Christ and we are supposed to make more disciples.  How can we do this in a dynamic and powerful way without the full power of the Holy Spirit?  How can we have more power in our personal lives without knowing all that the third person in the trinity can do?

I found this website that is power packed with great information about the Holy Spirit.  They have done all the hard work of putting all the information together.  Check everything as always in your own bible and write study notes of what you learn for future reference and study.  http://www.theholyspirit.com/default.asp

Are you a Christian?  Then the Holy Spirit is living inside of you right now!

John 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

The Holy Spirit is a real living spirit being.  Although He doesn’t have a form that we can get a clear picture in our heads with…He is the third person in the Godhead and the bible has given many examples of His manifested presence here on earth.

This is my own feelings and thoughts about the Holy Spirit.  I love the Holy Spirit…but I worship God.  The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to me and Jesus points me to God the Father. My interaction with the Holy Spirit is very sensitive and personal.  I try to be thoughtful and sensitive about what He does for me.  I try not to offend Him because I know He is at work in me for my good.  You can get mad at Jesus and people have not only gotten mad at Jesus… but talked about Him…beat Him…even killed Him and He let them do it and He forgave them.  I try not to offend or sadden the Holy Spirit.

Jesus had the Holy Spirit come down on Him and He received Him

God gave Him to me to help me.  What if you bought someone a beautiful and expensive gift and they turned around and smacked you and told you off.    You would be stunned and offended by their action towards your kind gesture.  Well if God sent the Holy Spirit to help us and we dismissed Him… I believe God would be VERY offended by the rejection of His wonderful gift He gave us.

Because Holy Spirit is invisible to me and a quiet voice in me… if I’m not aware of Him at the moment…I tend to forget about Him.  Or I may be doing something and I don’t want to hear from Him…like when I’m shopping or mad at someone.  He’s probably telling me to do the right thing…but I tune Him out…ignore Him.   On the other hand…When I’m going through a hard trial… I really listen out for Him to speak to me.

As I’ve gotten older and more mature in the Lord… I feel like I’m more aware of His presence and I feel the need to STAY aware of Him at all times.  I also find it easier to obey the Lord commands if I keep my mind on Him and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit.

Embrace the Holy Spirit of God…let Him be that integral part of your life.  Learn to feel His presence and His movements and instruction in your life.  Let Him impart God’s love in your soul…this will keep you running into God’s arm and growing your personal relationship with the Lord.  The Holy Spirit will help you worship the Lord.  We need the Holy Spirit so much.  He has sooooo much to offer us.  Close your eyes and feel His presence over you and in you.

Look for Him to fill your spirit up with more of Him. Look for His unusual way He makes the bible come alive to you when you read it and even reminds you of God’s words at a time when you need God the most.  Remember always that He is the third person in the trinity…a spiritual being who has His own personality and He is a part of your life and wants to be fully involved with you every minute of every day.  Let Him have His way with you.  God loves you…Jesus loves you…The Holy spirit loves you…You are soooo blessed!

Message for today: Desire more of the Holy Spirit of God.

OH MY GOD!!…THE HOLY SPIRIT

Oh My God!!  The Holy Spirit…thank you for Him!

I have an very close walk my Lord.  I have an incredible relationship with God.  I love Him so much.  I thank God for His Holy Spirit and I thank Jesus for making all this possible.

You see…I was born bad to the bone.  I was a worm, a retched soul.  My parents kept mentioning the name of God and Jesus to me as a child.  They took me to church and I learned more about God and Jesus.  The Holy Spirit sent by God… was there to hover over me and whisper to my heart and mind the names of Jesus and God.

This is why the names of God are so important!  With the knowledge and power of those names and the drawing of the Holy Spirit…this is what confirmed who God was in my heart mind and spirit man.  Then one day the Spirit of God led me to watch Billy Graham on our black and white TV and at the age of about 12 years old…I repented and invited Jesus to be the Lord of my life.  The Holy Spirit opened my eyes that day.  My eyes were opened to the reality of God, but my spirit was not open to completely surrendering myself to Him until 19 years later.  That’s when the Holy Spirit finished the task of completely winning me over 100% for the Lord.  From that day on the Holy Spirit was in control of my life and Jesus Christ is the head of my life.

After all of this I wanted to know every single thing about God so I dug into the bible for information.  This Scripture verse had a big impact on my prayer life and my relationship with the Lord:

1 Corinthians 2:10,11 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

When I read this I knew this was the way I was going to get to know God.  So I closed my eyes…and talked to God about 8 hours day for 7 years straight.  I told God to show me everything He could that was humanly possible to know about Him.  I wanted to know what He was doing, how He was feeling, His favorite color…just everything about Him.  He said He would never do anything to make me afraid of Him or the Holy Spirit.  I’ve been on a great adventure with God ever since.  I gave myself over to His will and the Holy Spirit took me over and showed me incredible visions and told me many things about God.

I’ve had awesome experiences under the power of the Holy Spirit.  I tell you this not to brag or so you can say crazy things like…ooh, she’s so anointed.  I am nothing without God’s Holy Spirit in me. It’s all been for a purpose…to glorify God.   I opened myself up to Him fully…so He came in.  I’m a servant of the Most High and everything in my life is to glorify God and lift up the name of Jesus.  I am a decreased individual!  I am less and the Lord is more in my life.

I know some people are scared of the Holy Spirit.  If you are a born again Christian…the Holy Spirit is already living inside of you.  But you can also be filled with Him.  He will not do anything you don’t want Him to.  God’s Holy Spirit is very gentle because God is sensitive to our feelings and so is His Spirit.

God is in constant communion with me through the Holy Spirit and all I can say here is…OH MY GOD!!!  I can be in touch with the most holy and power being in the entire universe anytime I want!!!!  OH MY GOD!!!!

When I try to explain the greatness of God to people who are not a Christian…they don’t get it.  It’s a mystery to them.  The Holy Spirit of God is trying to speak to their heart about Jesus and His Father…but there is doubt, fear and rebelliousness and they shut their heart and minds down to His call.  But the Holy Spirit of God keeps trying to reveal Jesus to them.  Then one day after many attempts they are ready and they open their heart to Him.  They see their need for Him and they want to be cleansed and spiritually healed.  They want forgiveness.  They need love.  They need God.  Once God gets in there…He begins the deeper life changing work.

The Holy Spirit  is the third person in the trinity and does His job in the new believers life.  The Holy Spirit reveals the baby Christian with the milk of God’s word as he reads it and gives gentle little cleansing baths.   He fights the enemy’s attempts to pull the new Christian back into their old life and gives this baby a lot of invisible hugs and kisses from the Lord so He knows He’s loved.  As the baby grows, the Holy Spirit is constantly helping the child mature and He teaches Him the things of God.  The Holy Spirit does so much for us Christians and He does all of this throughout our whole lives… until it’s time for us to go our home in heaven.  OH MY GOD….YOUR HOLY SPIRIT!!!!

Do you understand how much He is doing for you?  Do you want to be filled by Him?  Do you want Him to take over your life and guide you?  If you are one of those who don’t know what to make of the Holy Spirit…I tell you He’s already at work in you so why not let Him have more power and authority in your life.  If a doctor said…I have a pill that can solve all your problems and make you better than new… you would take it.  The Holy Spirit is a million times better than that for you.  Be filled with Him.

You say how can I be filled?

  1.     Ask God to fill you.
  2.     Have a receptive heart and Mind.
  3.     Expect the infilling.
  4.     Have the right motive…which is to know or walk with God.
  5.     Spend time privately talking with God.
  6.     Have no fear about God and His Holy Spirit.
  7.     Desire His love, His blessing and His Spirit.

Why should you live with half of your blessing when we have the fullness of God for now in this life.  Take full advantage of all of what God has for you.  Life is difficult at times and we need all of God.  God is not only there for the bad times…but the Holy Spirit of God can bless you with so much JOY in your spirit.  The Holy Spirit of God reveals God’s happy side too.  God is funny, sensitive, compassionate, affectionate and joyful.  God showed me this side of Him in my prayer times with Him..  I could go on and on in telling all the great and amazing things about the Holy Spirit…but my blog post is getting to long.  I have so much to share from my heart of my life experiences with Him.

Have you ever said…Oh I want to know God more?…… the…HOLY SPIRIT……IS THE WAY TO….KNOW GOD MORE!

Message for today:  God’s Holy Spirit……………Be filled!

Ephesians 5:18  Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,

Yesterday I read a very touching story on a blog entitled… Where are you?   It’s about a parent who is losing their child to an illness and asked God…Where are you?  I felt led to write a story and post it in the comment on this writers blog.  This is my post for today.  Please read the writer’s story on her blog: http://jenchay.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/where-are-you/#comment-441

Here am I

Here I am my child. I have always been here and always will be. Many people have cried out to me wondering where I am. I never hide and am always present. People call on me when their heart is breaking and they can’t take the pain. I’m so glad that they are looking for me. If they only knew I never leave anyone’s side. I feel your pain and hear every word spoken to me. What is my reply? It’s always been the same. I am here. Those who seek me will find me if they search with your whole heart.

I have a gift for you. My word…what you call a bible. In it is all you need to endure anything you may go through. Open my gift. It has many promises I’ve made to you. In it I have said that you will have troubles and all different kinds of troubles, but I will be there to help you. I never said this life would be easy. You will not understand my ways as you are human and it won’t be until you are here with me that you will have perfect knowledge and be able to understand why I allowed things to happen.

My words are not a mystery for those who have accepted my Son and have received my Spirit within them. The bible is a living book and my word will come alive in the hearts of those who believe and trust me.

I wait to comfort those who are broken-hearted. I offer help for the suffering. I give peace to those who have none and offer love to all.
I will be waiting here….waiting for you with open arms. Call upon me…search for me with an open heart and mind. Trust me and trust in me. Seek out those who have experienced this love even in their sorrow and they will testify of my love and grace.
I have so much to tell you….call on me…seek me…I’m waiting………I love you

Love always,

God

Message for today: You may walk in through some very fearful things…but if you look for God…He will be there…but the key here is to….look to Him…seek Him out…He IS waiting to hear from you.  Even if you’re mad at Him…call on Him anyway…He understands.

Psalms 23:1-4

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Where are you looking for help?

Psalms 121:1,2

I lift up my eyes to the mountains
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Do you need help?  At some point today…will you need help?  For me the answer is yes.  I need help sometimes just to get out of bed.  Sometimes I need help because I’m sick.  Sometimes I need financial help.  Sometimes I need encouragement….I think you get my point.  We all need Gods help every day.  There are also times when there is an urgent need or a very troubling situation…where do you look for help?

Where are you looking to for help?  In Psalm 121:1 it says for us to look to the mountains…because why?…vs2 says…because that’s where our help comes from. The bible is very clear about this…our help comes from the Lord!  We don’t have to walk around physically with our heads up in the air…we would run into something…but it’s more of an attitude of the heart and a focal point for our mind.

Looking down is only good for looking for lost money on the ground or looking at someone’s great pair of shoes or maybe a toddler crawling on the floor.  Maybe one might look down because they are shy or very sad.  I tell you…when you look up you must raise your eyes which raises your perspective on things.  Looking up is a more positive position to be in….physically, emotionally and spiritually.

But what should we look at?  We can look at the mountain.  I live on Long Island and I tell you it is as flat as a pancake…no mountains anywhere…so what do I focus on when I need to look up.  Sometime I look at the clouds in the sky and pretend they’re mountains…but what I really focus on is…..Keeping my eyes on the Lord!!!  Why…because I KNOW THAT’S WHERE ALL…I SAID… WHERE ALL OF MY HELP COMES FROM!  Nobody can help me like the Lord can!  When I focus my mind and my heart on the Lord…I get peace, grace, mercy, instruction, direction, clarity, strength, hope, encouragement, goodness, support, nurtured, and blessed.  In other words…I get help.  Why would I look anywhere else?

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Who else can you turn to for this kind of help?  Bill Gates is the second richest man in the world.  He’s worth 61 billion dollars.  If you needed help he could buy you a new house, pay for medical treatment or pay for many other things that money could buy.

But can his money buy?

  1. Help for your marriage?
  2. A cure your depression?
  3. Get your child out of jail for murder?
  4. Stop you from stealing, using drugs, committing adultery?
  5. Heal you from illness?
  6. Protect you from the devil?
  7. Get you Angelic help?
  8. Stop you from sinning?
  9. Salvation for your soul?
  10. An eternal life?

Maybe you think Dr. Phil can help you, Dr. Oz or the president of the United States?  Maybe your mom, dad or husband can help you?  Oh I know…surely your pastor!  All of these people have very limited ways that they can help you… but don’t look to others for your help.  God might even use them to help you…but He is the one who will impress upon them to help you.

So let’s reflect here.  I am to only look to God for my help because all of my help comes from the Lord.

Can we say this together?

I am to only look to God for my help because all of my help comes from the Lord.

When something happens in your life and you need help remember these three things:

  1. To Pray.  This will be your first instinct.
  2. You will have hope and believe that God has heard your prayers.
  3. You will keep your heart, your mind and your eyes looking to the hills/mountains/God… because YOU KNOW this is where your help will come from. Encourage yourself with this.

Message for today:  Where will you look to for your help?  You have a choice.  You can look at your problem or you can look to others or you can look to God!  God gave us Psalms 121:1,2 because He wanted you to have a focal point.  He wants you to look to the hills.  He wants you to ALWAYS be looking to Him for help.  Look up…go ahead…stop what your’re doing and look up and think this…”God you are my help”

Have a blessed day!

God revealed in the fire

Daniel 3:24-26    Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”

They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!”  So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire,

In this dramatic true bible story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego…King Nebuchadnezzar was very upset that 3 Jewish friends of Daniel would not bow down to his god which was a gold statue.  The king ordered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to be killed in a horrible way.  They were put into the very hot furnace and when the king saw the outcome of this he was shocked.  He wasn’t as shock to see them alive…but I believe he was shocked to see three things:

  1.  They were not tied up.
  2.  There were 4 men walking around in the furnace.
  3.  One of the men looked like a son of the gods.

He didn’t exclaim…Oh they’re alive!… but was shocked that their god revealed himself…in fact Nebuchadnezzar had to confess that their god was the Most High God!!   I wanna say here…you go God!…But I’ll stick with…Praise the Lord!   God really knows just what to do! I’m so glad He is…my God!!

In a trial…God will:

  1. Untie you
  2. Walk around in the trial with you
  3. He will reveal Himself

(Just take a moment here to reflect on some of your most fiery trials.  Did you get out?  Well you must have because you’re sitting there reading this today…and in your right mind…I hope…so God came through for you…right?)

There are many purposes for God allowing a trial to come into our lives and one of these purposes as revealed in this story is… to reveal Himself to others.

When I had cancer many people knew about it because many people were praying for me.  My surgeon knew of my faith and after I got a gripe of myself after getting the diagnosis…I was ready to live out my faith for this doctor and others to see.   God gave me a peace about my situation.  This was the untying of my hands.  Then He walked around with me in the fire during the two surgeries and I felt His presence.

This was my doctor for my surgery

After the second surgery which was the mastectomy God revealed Himself to me and everyone around me.  A few hours after the mastectomy… I woke up and was feeling very good.  I had no pain.  My doctor came in my room and took one look at me sitting up and smiling and was shocked.  His face turned red and his eyes got teary looking.  He didn’t expect me to look so well.  I had no pain and quick trouble free recovery.  This is God revealed!!  A seed was planted in this man’s life as well as many other people’s lives.  He revealed himself to other Christians around me and my experience increased their faith in what God can and do.

Even though this true bible story happened thousands of years ago…God never changes.  What He did back then He can do today.  He will be in the fire with you and will reveal Himself to you and others.  These bible stories are to help you…to teach you and encourage you on your journey through life.

Life is not easy for anyone the days.  We are faced with the rising cost of living, increased crime, health concerns and incredible and dangerous weather pattern changes.  This is not to scare you about your future but to remind you to read your bible and gleam from it God’s guidance for you to help you endure to the end.  There is no need to go through things with fear…when God is offering to be a support and help with everything that you may go through in this life.

Message for today:  Even if you must go through the fire….have no fear….GOD IS NEAR!!

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

1Peter 4:12,13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

“ALL PRAISES TO THE:  MOST HIGH GOD!”

Be encouraged today...no matter what you're going through...We belong to...The Most High God...The Supreme Being in the whole universe!!! Have NO fears! Just pray and trust Him.

Put on your Jesus glasses

1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

When I became a committed Christian I wanted to be a good Christian and do all the right things all the time….but I found this hard to do.  I was new at walking my Christian walk and hadn’t studied enough to get it right so I prayed and asked God to help me.  The lord told me to put on Jesus glasses.  He told me when I had trouble dealing with people or a situation to pretend or visualize myself putting on these special glasses that will enable me to see people or situations as Jesus would see it.

I tell you…this helped me so much.  I don’t do this anymore and I know now that the Jesus glasses was the Holy Spirit moving in my mind and heart to do the right things.  The Jesus glasses was a great tool that God used with me.  Everybody has a different learning style and for me….I need pictures.  This must be why God gives me visions.

These Jesus glasses remind me of the first scripture above.  Paul told the people to imitate what he does which is how Jesus would act.  Paul was truly wearing ….Jesus glasses.

In the second scripture…it tells us about the Holy Spirit who will help you with those Jesus glasses.  He teaches and reminds us of how God would want us to act and be.  Jesus did what God told Him to do and we should  do the same.

Message for today:  Whatever you have to do to follow Jesus example…do it.  Pray, read your bible and…..put on your Jesus glasses….you’ll see things more clearly!

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1

How to love God more

I Love the Lord

Psalms 18:1   I will love you, O LORD, my strength.

The word “will” in this scripture is interesting because the meaning of will is intent.  Some bible translations have…I love you, O Lord my strength.  I personally Love the Lord…but I also know that my love for God grows and will continue to grow as my relationship continues to mature in Him.  So I am in love with the Lord and my love is getting stronger.  I will never be able to love the Lord the way I want to as a human being because I am not perfected yet and won’t be until my transition day when my body dies.

The motivational force in my life right now is my love for the Lord.  I’ve tried to give you all a break in hearing me say how much I love the Lord over and over again.  I could profess my love for the Lord all day everyday…but I know God wants me to keep a balance in my life.   So my life is filled with my faith in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit…in family, church, prayer, bible study, my task for the Lord and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.  My life is continually being in prayer with God on and off all day.  I have to be honest and tell you…the only time my mind is not on the Lord so much is when I’m shopping…I wish it was…it could probably save me some money LOL!  All kidding aside…my point is my love for the Lord is my strength.   God has been there for me through everything that has happened in my life.

I love the Lord so so much and I have this on my mind and in my heart all the time.  The Holy Spirit uses this in my life because He is always reminding me that I do love God a lot.  This helps me live a life pleasing to the Lord.  Like yesterday….I went to Burger king to get a salad for lunch…yes I know…a salad from Burger King.  I’m still committing to my New Year’s resolution  of eating better praise God!!  The cashier gave me back $10.00 to much…but…I love the Lord and want to shine for Him…I gave that money right back!  How could I keep that money loving God the way I do?  The Holy Spirit that lives in me and knows how much I love God and want to please Him is there to help me stay on track.  If I didn’t love God so much… I don’t think I would be so willing to live right and be all God wants me to be.  I think I would sin…a lot!

My love for God is so important to me and God’s love for me is so important to me because….He is the strength of my life.  This love thing between me and God keeps me going and keeps me strong.

How does one become so in love with God?

  1. Someone will one day tell you about His love.  My parents and my Sunday school teachers did for me.  This is how it begins for us.  Then it’s up to us to accept this love, accept Jesus Christ repent and believe in Him.
  2. You should pray…talk to God as much as you can.
  3. You should know all you can about the Lord which comes from reading and studying your bible.
  4. All the test and trials you go through and come out of is His love for you and when you learn to recognize this…it will expose His love for you.  Many test many victories equals lots of love.
  5. Understanding why Jesus came and did what He did will increase your love.  Think about this very often.  Let it be a part of your daily meditation and prayer.
  6. Don’t hold the negative things that happened to you against God because it is really for your good in the long run.  You just don’t understand it now.  But it has great incredible rewards!  God has promised us this.  What He has prepared for us is unimaginable….so hold on to His love and let it be your strength
  7. Time helps you love God more.  Give it time for this love to develop.  Over time as you see His overall purpose is for you to succeed in this life and everything He does is to bring you to maturity in Him you will fall deeper in love with Him. You have a life time…God willing.
  8. Surrender 100% of yourself to Him.  When I married my husband…I made a commitment to Him.  We are committed to each other.  When you surrender yourself to the Lord you made a commitment to Him and He’s committed to you.  It’s an ongoing relationship that needs to be nurtured everyday…not just on Sunday, Easter and Christmas or when you have a need.  It takes dedication on our part to maintain this relationship on a level that will be in constant growth.
  9. We must learn to walk with God.  Study the bible information about Enoch…it’s powerful
  10. You must know God intimately.  This can be done because of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.  God is a spirit and we need to approach Him in spirit and in truth and the Holy Spirit will help us to know God in a very close and personal way.

I used to wear a button like this everyday for the first 7 years of my walk with the Lord…but one day I felt it was time to take it off so I could let my light shine through my life and my walk with the Lord. I want my life to point people to Jesus.

So in closing….my prayer for you today is that you may gleam something from my blog and cultivate, improve and nurture your walk with the Lord.  My main motivation for writing these blogs is for everyone to love the Lord so much and love Him with your body, mind, and soul and deeply with your whole heart.  I know He is the strength of our lives and we need His strength so much.  We need to feel His love.  He is always pouring His love out on us…but we need to know this and feel this because this is what will enable us to hold on until our eternal life in Him has come.  Then we will be able to experience the full love of God….the love that all of our loved ones who have made it through their journey and are living in the fullness of that love… right now.

Oh…I love the Lord…He’s my love and….my strength!

Message for today:  Daily seek the Lord and your love for Him will grow.

Now that is some incredible love!!!!!
