How to Pray?? The Big Question

In the light of all this earthly drama we need to draw closer to God in prayer. Just a closer walk with thee……

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Many people have asked this question and many people have written books, have had seminars and preached on this topic. Why, how, what, when…… what more can I say about it? Have you read my blog about Kissing the feet of Jesus? I’ve shared my heart about my prayer life……yet I still feel I have something more to say.

I’m going to say something shocking here…….Prayer is not complicated!! Ok that wasn’t really that shocking but I wanted to get your attention. To tell you the truth….How to pray is a weird question to me….it’s like asking how to love….how to eat…..how to breath?

When I fell in love for the very first time in junior high school I just knew how to love…it came natural. I feel when you fall in love with the Lord talking to Him should be so natural……oh you say…..Fall in love with the Lord?…

Hard times?….Don’t give up…read this blog!

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Sometimes I think I almost push God to this point….But I know my foolishness doesn’t affect Him that way. God is patient, kind and understanding.

If God was here on earth in the midst of a very difficult trial in my life I would shake His shoulders, jump up and down and just start screaming to the top of my lungs until He would have to slap me silly.

Bed beating with a broom…doesn’t really help!

I have done something this….let me share my crazy testimony.  In 2002 I had been suffering with an illness for about 3 years that was undiagnosed at the time and I was having horrible debilitating stroke-like episodes.  I was at my wit’s end because things were getting worse and I was waiting to be healed…like yesterday!   One day I just exploded in prayer to God.  I was trying to sweep my little daughters room…

Being Happy In The Midst of Hard Trials

A lot of people are going through very difficult times. Maybe this blog can help today. Hang in there!!!

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

It’s 6 am and as soon as I started to seek the Lord I realize I’m feeling happy in my spirit. As singer James Brown says in one of his most famous songs “I feel Good”.  How can this be?  This morning I have a painful sinus infection so I’ll be seeing my doctor today, I suffer daily with many medical conditions and have to take a lot of medication, I’ve had past financial catastrophes that are still hanging over my head,, my mom just passed in February of this year, my car is 14 years old…and on and on…. need I say more.

But despite all this I AM HAPPY!!! Why, how can this be?  I have put my trust in God and He has given me His peace and strength. I live off of His daily mercies and I’m filled with His amazing grace.

My mother in law…

 who created God best

Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Ok I’m not going to be theological with my answer here at all.  It’s just not me.  My answer is from my own mind and I say…Nobody created or made God.  What is my personal proof?  None…I believe it’s just not logical to think that God was created.  I also believe the question… “who created the creator?”  will aways be the never-ending question.  Not really convincing huh?  I know.

The scripture above Revelation 22:13 says that He is the Beginning and the end.  To me… that is a complete circle…never-ending and I tell you …you will go around…

A Prayer For Revival…It Starts In You

There is an answer for this needy world and we know who that is but……are we ready for the master’s use?

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Psalms 85:6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

What is the meaning of the word revival? It is the renewing, restoring and strengthening of something that was once vibrant, back to a place of importance, power, confidence and vitality. It’s a place of once being high in a certain area of life and then falling to a low point of complacency, going through the motions. Being unproductive and lifeless, to a place of restoration to the point you were at and even higher and beyond.

You have to want to be revived and feel that this is necessary to move you to the next level. A spiritual revival is for the children of God. It’s the hearts cry to be rejoicing in the joy and strength of the Lord once again. It’s the desire of one’s yearning heart to meet the Lord in…

Valley Experiences with God

Wrote this some time ago….I feel someone needs this today. God bless and keep you through the hard times. In Jesus name…Amen

camary1996's avatarGod Speaks I Listen

Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Let’s get right into it…..A valley experience is a period of time where you feel alone (even though you are not) in your suffering or trial…. whether physically or mentally. It’s a time that is very difficult and hard to work through. It’s not death…but it can feel just as difficult emotionally to deal with.

It can be a time where you pray and you feel as if God took a trip in the galaxy and forgot to take his Blackberry….or you pray and you feel as if your prayers come back stamped…return to sender.

The valley experience is a time that:

1. You need to know and remind yourself that you are Gods child.
2. You know Gods word and His…

earth 2

Psalm 19:1-2

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

Oh my goodness!…God put His whole creative artwork in the sky and have some not recognized His handiwork?  How can that be possible because who could have made such breathtaking beauty and unspeakable detail but God?

I remember being taught in school that the early inhabitants of the earth thought the earth was flat.  The were convinced of that. Over time they figured out they were wrong.  Many people believe there is no God.  I look up into the sky day and night and I think…”Oh my God!…incredible!!!”

Tonight my husband and I are going to attend a very large prayer meeting for God to have mercy on us.  I’ve been asked to pray for souls to know Jesus Christ.  This has been my hearts cry ever since I became a committed Christian in 1984.  Maybe it’s hard for some to see God in the beauty of this earth…but I’m committed to praying for unsaved souls to know the truth, to hear the good news…to repent, believe in Jesus and receive the gift from God of eternal life.  I’m also committed to being much more active in evangelism.  Just my thoughts for today.

A fresh revelation about the Holy Spirit

Holy spirit revalation

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (“The Holy Spirit comes ON you!”)

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (“Therefore…GO GO GO!”)

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (“But the Comforter, Helper, Counselor, Paraclete and Advocate…The Holy Ghost… will teach you!”)

Last week I came to a fresh revelation about my walk with God…that I just can’t shake so I need to write it out.

All of us AD. (After the death of Jesus) followers have a greater responsibility in our relationship in knowing God than the Old Testament saints because we have the Holy Spirit living, dwelling, and residing in us! This fresh revelation has caused me to feel more responsible to live a Holy life and to be more of a witness for Jesus Christ.

The Old Testament saints had to be more concerned with being obedient to the law and making sure they atoned for their sins.

Holy spirit revalation

Some advantages to our New Testament life:

  1. Jesus personally gave us instructions.
  2. We know that we are soooo LOVED.
  3. We got to know the story about Jesus being the propitiation for our sins.
  4. We also know that the devil HAS BEEN defeated.
  5. A beautiful place has been prepared for us and we’ll never ever suffer pain or sorrow again.
  6. We will see God face to face.
  7. The best FYI that we have is that we will live and reign with Him forever!!

Another advantage for us AD. Saints is that we have a Helper…the 3rd Person of the trinity who is The Holy Spirit!!!! We are NEVER alone. We also have a direct way of communicating with our Father God…..our Creator!!Holy spirit revalation 2

I feel a greater responsibility to live right and share my faith and go and make disciples. God gave us a GIFT…the Holy Spirit. I just want to do all I can for my Precious Loving Father! I don’t feel pressured to do stuff for Him I just want to because the more I realize what He’s done for my benefit…the more I want to go all out for Him.

This life is very difficult at times…well many times…well really almost every day…BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!! Oh my Lord…I’m never alone and never without help!!!

I pray for more boldness to speak up and go after the unsaved. I have the Holy Spirit for that task too!!

I can also get really really close to God… in fact I can walk with Him all day every day!!! You guessed it…because the Holy Spirit has come on me and you too!

Are you seeing what I’m seeing about what an advantage us AD. Saints have. We can get used to our privilege because it’s been a part of our lives for so long. But sometimes we need to sit back and take a fresh look at the all the blessings we have.

I pray my fresh revelation will be your fresh revelation today. God bless you and keep enlightening you!!!

Why does God allow children to suffer?

suffering child1

This is a very difficult subject that I would like to talk about today. It’s about children suffering. Yesterday I watched a YouTube video of beheaded children and families. I was horrified. I don’t why I watched it…but I did. Then that same night someone my husband and I know has a child born to their family who has a very severe illness and this child has suffered greatly.  A few years ago someone else we know had a child born with a congenital heart defect who suffered for 3 years and eventually passed away. There are many other stories of children and adults who have suffered greatly.

The big question for many people who have experienced this kind of suffering is…”why would God allow this?” This is a power packed question and I believe God doesn’t mind if we ask it.

God is a mystery. His mysteriousness is somewhat revealed dimly to those who are believers in Jesus Christ but is a complete mystery to those who are not Christians.  There is no human who can understand why God allows certain things to go on and why He does what He does. This is the mystery of God. The more that you try to understand why…  the more confused and bewildered you will become.

suffering child2

One of my children had a massive brain injury when he was born and has cerebral palsy as a result. Doctors said he may never walk or talk. I was given a miracle from God and my son graduated college at the top of his class and walks without assistance. I have seen many other children affected by cerebral palsy and they are in a wheel chair. Of course I thank God for what He did for my son…but my heart has always gone out for those more afflicted with this disability. I’ve ask myself why was my son healed and others were not.  When Jesus was on earth He didn’t heal everybody…..

Mark 6:5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

One of the greatest evangelists in the bible Paul ask for a healing 3 times and did not get healed on earth.

2 Corinthians 12:9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

When really bad things happen to people through some kind of catastrophe… people get really mad at God and blame Him….but they don’t seem to pay much attention sometimes to all the good things He has done in their lives over the years.

suffering child 3

Job 2:10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

I have had a lot of really bad things happen in my life…too much to discuss in this blog today…but I tell you I’m going to trust God until the end of my life because God has given me the strength to handle all the horrible trials in my life and He promises me great rewards for being faithful to trust Him.  The greatest reward will be living with Him forever and never experiencing any more pain and suffering.suffering child 5

Children who die go to heaven!!! From the second they breathe their last breath… they are in the arms of Jesus and they are experiencing the greatest love one can only try to imagine.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

In the bible when David’s son was ill… he prayed really hard for His child to get well. David’s son died anyway. David said that his child will never come back to him…but he will go to his child which he knew was in heaven.

About the Children who are suffering on earth right now…I have no direct answers about that because that goes into the why and only God knows why. I do know that He cares about each and every one of His children and will provide you with the strength you need.   Maybe not get out of your very hard trial but to get through it.

If you’re not a Christian…then you’re completely on your own and without supernatural help from above….BUT you can make a decision today to repent from you sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Please don’t let your anger at God get in the way of this important and life changing decision.

Evil came into this world because of Adam and Eve. When they were disobedient…they opened up Pandora’s Box and all hell broke loose on this earth. All suffering is a result of that unfortunate event. Bad things happen to every living human being…no exceptions.

In the Book of Job in the bible…All of Job’s children died….He lost his health and he lost his wealth!!  He didn’t understand why.  Even his wife and friends were quite puzzled.  Even though Job whined about it he didn’t curse God and remained faithful.

If you are suffering right now with some great tragedy…my heart goes out to you!!  I wish I could take away your pain.  I can’t solve your problems through this blog today…but I can tell you about a problem solver and His name is Jesus Christ.  Ask Him for help and strength today.  ( Please read 1 Peter 5:7 this scripture will help you greatly. Do what it says do!)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

Dear God,

The person reading this blog today may need your help. I ask you to please help them, strengthen them and guide them. Speak to them through your Holy Word the Bible. I pray the Holy Spirit will comfort them. Heal them or that special person in their life. In Jesus name I pray….Amen.

Jesus Spitting and healing

spit best

John 9:6

“While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” 6When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, 7and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam ” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.…

I bite my lip a lot because of the misalignment of my teeth and jaw. Many times it bleeds but the amazing thing is that it can heal in a 2 days. Whenever I’ve had mouth surgery…my mouth heal in a few days. If I have cut on my skin it can take a week or more to heal. There are healing enzymes in saliva.

In ancient times they believed that spit/saliva had healing properties. Jesus spit on 3 occasions to heal people. Why did He spit? Did He want people to know that He was about to heal someone? Was it that He was trying to look tuff like… I’m bad? If Jesus ever wanted to spit on me I would be like…Jesus…you can spit on me all you want…thank you so much!!!spit

When Jesus made mud out of spit…I believe the mud represented the darkness. Jesus said before He healed the blind man that He was the light of the world. So with His own blessed body fluid He made this blind man who was in the dark able to see the light.

Jesus was that light for all of us who was in the dark. Jesus didn’t spit on us in the natural but He spit on us in the spit. We see the light and our eyes are opened! The significance is not the spit but the spitter and the motives behind the spitting.

I was blind but now I see!! Who gave me my sight? Jesus! Now that I can see I feel I want to shine my light for everyone to see…truth. I want to shine my light into this dimly lit world.spit1

How can I do this? Should I walk around spitting? For Pete sakes NO! I need to walk my walk and not just talk the talk!…I need to be kind, loving and caring. Jesus did this while He was on earth and it’s what we need to do also.

SPITTING WITH PURPOSE

Jesus didn’t spit to show off one bit.

His job was to make sure spiritual eyes were lit.

Once these men were blind and now they can see,

They testified about His power before He was nailed Him to that tree.

Jesus tried to make sure we understood about the light.

We need to also shine because this world is so uptight.

Our spiritual light could lead people to be set free,

So they will live forever with God eternally.

So don’t be scared are share the news that Jesus spits of folks

Let them know that rejecting Him really is no Joke.

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
