Yesterday I read a very touching story on a blog entitled… Where are you?   It’s about a parent who is losing their child to an illness and asked God…Where are you?  I felt led to write a story and post it in the comment on this writers blog.  This is my post for today.  Please read the writer’s story on her blog: http://jenchay.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/where-are-you/#comment-441

Here am I

Here I am my child. I have always been here and always will be. Many people have cried out to me wondering where I am. I never hide and am always present. People call on me when their heart is breaking and they can’t take the pain. I’m so glad that they are looking for me. If they only knew I never leave anyone’s side. I feel your pain and hear every word spoken to me. What is my reply? It’s always been the same. I am here. Those who seek me will find me if they search with your whole heart.

I have a gift for you. My word…what you call a bible. In it is all you need to endure anything you may go through. Open my gift. It has many promises I’ve made to you. In it I have said that you will have troubles and all different kinds of troubles, but I will be there to help you. I never said this life would be easy. You will not understand my ways as you are human and it won’t be until you are here with me that you will have perfect knowledge and be able to understand why I allowed things to happen.

My words are not a mystery for those who have accepted my Son and have received my Spirit within them. The bible is a living book and my word will come alive in the hearts of those who believe and trust me.

I wait to comfort those who are broken-hearted. I offer help for the suffering. I give peace to those who have none and offer love to all.
I will be waiting here….waiting for you with open arms. Call upon me…search for me with an open heart and mind. Trust me and trust in me. Seek out those who have experienced this love even in their sorrow and they will testify of my love and grace.
I have so much to tell you….call on me…seek me…I’m waiting………I love you

Message for today: You may walk in through some very fearful things…but if you look for God…He will be there…but the key here is to….look to Him…seek Him out…He IS waiting to hear from you.  Even if you’re mad at Him…call on Him anyway…He understands.

Where are you looking for help?

Psalms 121:1,2

 I lift up my eyes to the mountains
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Do you need help?  At some point today…will you need help?  For me the answer is yes.  I need help sometimes just to get out of bed.  Sometimes I need help because I’m sick.  Sometimes I need financial help.  Sometimes I need encouragement….I think you get my point.  We all need Gods help every day.  There are also times when there is an urgent need or a very troubling situation…where do you look for help?

Where are you looking to for help?  In Psalm 121:1 it says for us to look to the mountains…because why?…vs2 says…because that’s where our help comes from. The bible is very clear about this…our help comes from the Lord!  We don’t have to walk around physically with our heads up in the air…we would run into something…but it’s more of an attitude of the heart and a focal point for our mind.

Looking down is only good for looking for lost money on the ground or looking at someone’s great pair of shoes or maybe a toddler crawling on the floor.  Maybe one might look down because they are shy or very sad.  I tell you…when you look up you must raise your eyes which raises your perspective on things.  Looking up is a more positive position to be in….physically, emotionally and spiritually.

But what should we look at?  We can look at the mountain.  I live on Long Island and I tell you it is as flat as a pancake…no mountains anywhere…so what do I focus on when I need to look up.  Sometime I look at the clouds in the sky and pretend they’re mountains…but what I really focus on is…..Keeping my eyes on the Lord!!!  Why…because I KNOW THAT’S WHERE ALL…I SAID… WHERE ALL OF MY HELP COMES FROM!  Nobody can help me like the Lord can!  When I focus my mind and my heart on the Lord…I get peace, grace, mercy, instruction, direction, clarity, strength, hope, encouragement, goodness, support, nurtured, and blessed.  In other words…I get help.  Why would I look anywhere else?

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Who else can you turn to for this kind of help?  Bill Gates is the second richest man in the world.  He’s worth 61 billion dollars.  If you needed help he could buy you a new house, pay for medical treatment or pay for many other things that money could buy.

But can his money buy?

  1. Help for your marriage?
  2. A cure your depression?
  3. Get your child out of jail for murder?
  4. Stop you from stealing, using drugs, committing adultery?
  5. Heal you from illness?
  6. Protect you from the devil?
  7. Get you Angelic help?
  8. Stop you from sinning?
  9. Salvation for your soul?
  10. An eternal life?

Maybe you think Dr. Phil can help you, Dr. Oz or the president of the United States?  Maybe your mom, dad or husband can help you?  Oh I know…surely your pastor!  All of these people have very limited ways that they can help you… but don’t look to others for your help.  God might even use them to help you…but He is the one who will impress upon them to help you.

So let’s reflect here.  I am to only look to God for my help because all of my help comes from the Lord.

Can we say this together?

When something happens in your life and you need help remember these three things:

  1. To Pray.  This will be your first instinct.
  2. You will have hope and believe that God has heard your prayers.
  3. You will keep your heart, your mind and your eyes looking to the hills/mountains/God… because YOU KNOW this is where your help will come from. Encourage yourself with this.

Message for today:  Where will you look to for your help?  You have a choice.  You can look at your problem or you can look to others or you can look to God!  God gave us Psalms 121:1,2 because He wanted you to have a focal point.  He wants you to look to the hills.  He wants you to ALWAYS be looking to Him for help.  Look up…go ahead…stop what your’re doing and look up and think this…”God you are my help”

God revealed in the fire

Daniel 3:24-26    Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”

They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!”  So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire,

In this dramatic true bible story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego…King Nebuchadnezzar was very upset that 3 Jewish friends of Daniel would not bow down to his god which was a gold statue.  The king ordered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to be killed in a horrible way.  They were put into the very hot furnace and when the king saw the outcome of this he was shocked.  He wasn’t as shock to see them alive…but I believe he was shocked to see three things:

  1.  They were not tied up.
  2.  There were 4 men walking around in the furnace.
  3.  One of the men looked like a son of the gods. 

He didn’t exclaim…Oh they’re alive!… but was shocked that their god revealed himself…in fact Nebuchadnezzar had to confess that their god was the Most High God!!   I wanna say here…you go God!…But I’ll stick with…Praise the Lord!   God really knows just what to do! I’m so glad He is…my God!!

In a trial…God will:

  1. Untie you
  2. Walk around in the trial with you
  3. He will reveal Himself

(Just take a moment here to reflect on some of your most fiery trials.  Did you get out?  Well you must have because you’re sitting there reading this today…and in your right mind…I hope…so God came through for you…right?)

There are many purposes for God allowing a trial to come into our lives and one of these purposes as revealed in this story is… to reveal Himself to others.

When I had cancer many people knew about it because many people were praying for me.  My surgeon knew of my faith and after I got a gripe of myself after getting the diagnosis…I was ready to live out my faith for this doctor and others to see.   God gave me a peace about my situation.  This was the untying of my hands.  Then He walked around with me in the fire during the two surgeries and I felt His presence.

After the second surgery which was the mastectomy God revealed Himself to me and everyone around me.  A few hours after the mastectomy… I woke up and was feeling very good.  I had no pain.  My doctor came in my room and took one look at me sitting up and smiling and was shocked.  His face turned red and his eyes got teary looking.  He didn’t expect me to look so well.  I had no pain and quick trouble free recovery.  This is God revealed!!  A seed was planted in this man’s life as well as many other people’s lives.  He revealed himself to other Christians around me and my experience increased their faith in what God can and do.

Even though this true bible story happened thousands of years ago…God never changes.  What He did back then He can do today.  He will be in the fire with you and will reveal Himself to you and others.  These bible stories are to help you…to teach you and encourage you on your journey through life.

Life is not easy for anyone the days.  We are faced with the rising cost of living, increased crime, health concerns and incredible and dangerous weather pattern changes.  This is not to scare you about your future but to remind you to read your bible and gleam from it God’s guidance for you to help you endure to the end.  There is no need to go through things with fear…when God is offering to be a support and help with everything that you may go through in this life.

Message for today:  Even if you must go through the fire….have no fear….GOD IS NEAR!!

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

1Peter 4:12,13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Be encouraged today...no matter what you're going through...We belong to...The Most High God...The Supreme Being in the whole universe!!! Have NO fears! Just pray and trust Him.

Put on your Jesus glasses

1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

When I became a committed Christian I wanted to be a good Christian and do all the right things all the time….but I found this hard to do.  I was new at walking my Christian walk and hadn’t studied enough to get it right so I prayed and asked God to help me.  The lord told me to put on Jesus glasses.  He told me when I had trouble dealing with people or a situation to pretend or visualize myself putting on these special glasses that will enable me to see people or situations as Jesus would see it.

I tell you…this helped me so much.  I don’t do this anymore and I know now that the Jesus glasses was the Holy Spirit moving in my mind and heart to do the right things.  The Jesus glasses was a great tool that God used with me.  Everybody has a different learning style and for me….I need pictures.  This must be why God gives me visions.

These Jesus glasses remind me of the first scripture above.  Paul told the people to imitate what he does which is how Jesus would act.  Paul was truly wearing ….Jesus glasses.

In the second scripture…it tells us about the Holy Spirit who will help you with those Jesus glasses.  He teaches and reminds us of how God would want us to act and be.  Jesus did what God told Him to do and we should  do the same.

Message for today:  Whatever you have to do to follow Jesus example…do it.  Pray, read your bible and…..put on your Jesus glasses….you’ll see things more clearly!

How to love God more

I Love the Lord

Psalms 18:1   I will love you, O LORD, my strength.

The word “will” in this scripture is interesting because the meaning of will is intent.  Some bible translations have…I love you, O Lord my strength.  I personally Love the Lord…but I also know that my love for God grows and will continue to grow as my relationship continues to mature in Him.  So I am in love with the Lord and my love is getting stronger.  I will never be able to love the Lord the way I want to as a human being because I am not perfected yet and won’t be until my transition day when my body dies.

The motivational force in my life right now is my love for the Lord.  I’ve tried to give you all a break in hearing me say how much I love the Lord over and over again.  I could profess my love for the Lord all day everyday…but I know God wants me to keep a balance in my life.   So my life is filled with my faith in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit…in family, church, prayer, bible study, my task for the Lord and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.  My life is continually being in prayer with God on and off all day.  I have to be honest and tell you…the only time my mind is not on the Lord so much is when I’m shopping…I wish it was…it could probably save me some money LOL!  All kidding aside…my point is my love for the Lord is my strength.   God has been there for me through everything that has happened in my life.

I love the Lord so so much and I have this on my mind and in my heart all the time.  The Holy Spirit uses this in my life because He is always reminding me that I do love God a lot.  This helps me live a life pleasing to the Lord.  Like yesterday….I went to Burger king to get a salad for lunch…yes I know…a salad from Burger King.  I’m still committing to my New Year’s resolution  of eating better praise God!!  The cashier gave me back $10.00 to much…but…I love the Lord and want to shine for Him…I gave that money right back!  How could I keep that money loving God the way I do?  The Holy Spirit that lives in me and knows how much I love God and want to please Him is there to help me stay on track.  If I didn’t love God so much… I don’t think I would be so willing to live right and be all God wants me to be.  I think I would sin…a lot!

My love for God is so important to me and God’s love for me is so important to me because….He is the strength of my life.  This love thing between me and God keeps me going and keeps me strong.

How does one become so in love with God?

  1. Someone will one day tell you about His love.  My parents and my Sunday school teachers did for me.  This is how it begins for us.  Then it’s up to us to accept this love, accept Jesus Christ repent and believe in Him.
  2. You should pray…talk to God as much as you can.
  3. You should know all you can about the Lord which comes from reading and studying your bible.
  4. All the test and trials you go through and come out of is His love for you and when you learn to recognize this…it will expose His love for you.  Many test many victories equals lots of love.
  5. Understanding why Jesus came and did what He did will increase your love.  Think about this very often.  Let it be a part of your daily meditation and prayer.
  6. Don’t hold the negative things that happened to you against God because it is really for your good in the long run.  You just don’t understand it now.  But it has great incredible rewards!  God has promised us this.  What He has prepared for us is unimaginable….so hold on to His love and let it be your strength
  7. Time helps you love God more.  Give it time for this love to develop.  Over time as you see His overall purpose is for you to succeed in this life and everything He does is to bring you to maturity in Him you will fall deeper in love with Him. You have a life time…God willing. 
  8. Surrender 100% of yourself to Him.  When I married my husband…I made a commitment to Him.  We are committed to each other.  When you surrender yourself to the Lord you made a commitment to Him and He’s committed to you.  It’s an ongoing relationship that needs to be nurtured everyday…not just on Sunday, Easter and Christmas or when you have a need.  It takes dedication on our part to maintain this relationship on a level that will be in constant growth.
  9. We must learn to walk with God.  Study the bible information about Enoch…it’s powerful
  10. You must know God intimately.  This can be done because of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.  God is a spirit and we need to approach Him in spirit and in truth and the Holy Spirit will help us to know God in a very close and personal way.

I used to wear a button like this everyday for the first 7 years of my walk with the Lord…but one day I felt it was time to take it off so I could let my light shine through my life and my walk with the Lord. I want my life to point people to Jesus.

So in closing….my prayer for you today is that you may gleam something from my blog and cultivate, improve and nurture your walk with the Lord.  My main motivation for writing these blogs is for everyone to love the Lord so much and love Him with your body, mind, and soul and deeply with your whole heart.  I know He is the strength of our lives and we need His strength so much.  We need to feel His love.  He is always pouring His love out on us…but we need to know this and feel this because this is what will enable us to hold on until our eternal life in Him has come.  Then we will be able to experience the full love of God….the love that all of our loved ones who have made it through their journey and are living in the fullness of that love… right now.

Oh…I love the Lord…He’s my love and….my strength!

Message for today:  Daily seek the Lord and your love for Him will grow.

Angels…Are watching over you!

Colossians 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

Today I feel led to speak about angels of God.  I’m not going to get real deep or overly focused on angels because they are created beings that are for God purposes.  Angel are NOT people and people are NOT angels.  They are NOT to be worshiped or glorified in any way.  All glory belongs to God alone.  They are surely unique to us humans though.

Angels have a variety of duties for the Lord such as providing protection, answering prayer duties, delivering messages, and many other jobs for God.  Hebrews 1:14  Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? They are down here on earth with us and are mostly invisible to us…but we can see them and not even know it.  Hebrew 13:2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

I want to share with you my true stories of what happened to my son Joshua and me.  When He was about 8 years old he would walk to the bus stop at the corner.  There were other parents there that watched out for him for me and I watched him at my front door until he got there.  This one day he left the house and as I stood at the door a school bus was getting ready to passing by, so I told him to wait… and he was standing there…but at the very last second for some unknown reason… he dashed right in front of that bus!!!  It happened so fast I didn’t even have time to yell stop.

The bus driver jammed on her brakes and that bus should not have been able to stop like that.  The bus made a loud screeching sound and the back of the bus jumped up a little from the very sudden stop.  My son just scurried across the street and went on to the bus stop like nothing happened!!  That’s a boy for ya’!  The bus driver sat there for a few seconds and drove off.  I was at the door and had no strength in my legs and I believe my heart stopped too!  I tell you…there was no way that bus should have been able to stop like that!  I know there was an angel between my son and that bus!

This is what it looked like to me that day.

I know you many of you may have stories of near misses in a car.  This is my story.  A few years ago where I was waiting for a traffic light to turn onto a major road.  I was the third car back.  A car tried to make the light and another started going and they collided right in front of me and went airborne.   It hit the two cars in front of me and was coming for me.  I instinctively put my hands in the air and closed my eyes because it was coming towards me and I thought it was going to land on my windshield… but at the last-minute it went over to the side of me and didn’t touch my car.  At first I couldn’t move because of the shock of it all.  I had to pull over because I was to traumatized to drive and called my husband crying.  All I keep telling him was I was so glad to be alive.  I tell you angels were watching over me!!

I thought for a split second that this was my fate...but God had other plans for my life.

I tell you this to let you know that even though a lot of negative things happen in this world…there are some pretty awesome things that happen too.  So many things could have happened to us all but it didn’t because God intervened.  That’s why we pray for protection all the time.

I feel I have to say this because someone might be thinking this.  There are times that things do happen to God’s children.  Christians do get into accidents and die.  Where were the angels then?  Every human being is going to die and there are many ways that this can happen.  God knows just how long each of us is going to live…some will have a long life…some a short live and some in the middle.  It’s all up to the Lord.  But until that day comes….we are protected and blessed to have these servants of the Lord watching over us protecting and ministering to us for God.  Let’s not try to understand everything that God allows to happen in our lives…but let’s trust Him to take care of us.  He always had a plan to do so and part of His plan included angels.  I pray you feel special today…not because angels are special…but because the creator of all things is special.

Message for today: Angels are watching over you…at God’s direction.  You are blessed!

The Fullness of God…What’s that?

Ephesians 3:19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Today I feel led to blog on the fullness of God.  This is a very big topic and I don’t know how much I can bring to the table because I don’t have a degree in theology… but I will try to share what I can.

It’s very hard to put the meaning of the fullness of God into words because of our limited ability to take in all of God’s majesty or His supreme-ness.  Jesus has all of the fullness of God in Him.

Colossians 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

(Deity –  divine character or nature of a Supreme Being; divinity.)

Colossians 1:19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,      JESUS!

These are some of the BEST scriptures for revealing that Jesus IS God!!!!! 

 John 10:30  I and the Father are one.”  !!!!!!!!!

John 14:9-11 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

We have Jesus in us who has the fullness of God in Him so we have the fullness of God available to us. 

Ephesians 3:16-19 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Paul prayed one of the most blessed prayers in the above scripture that anyone could ever pray for a brother and sister in Christ:

  1. He prays that all of the powerful, the great and wonderful things that God is and possesses and are available to you and will strengthen you. (The result:  Spiritual strength.)
  2. He prays that this power will build you up in your inner man. (The result:  Jesus Christ will live and inhabit your heart through faith!)
  3. He prays that because you are already grounded in the love of God that we and all God’s people will be able to catch on to and know for sure how much Jesus loves us. ( The result: evangelism)
  4.  He prays that we will know the depths of that love or how far it will go for us.) (The result: Trust and faith in God.)
  5. He prays for us to know this deep love that leads to being filled with Jesus and all His fullness.  He also expresses that we will not be able to fully understand this knowledge.  (The result:  That we will be filled with the fullness of God!)

The results that will affect our spiritual lives:

  1. Spiritual strength
  2.  Jesus Christ will live and inhabit our heart through faith!
  3. Evangelism
  4. Trust and faith in God
  5. We will be filled with the fullness of God

 

Is this an awesome prayer or what?  We have God’s fullness available to us as a Child of God!!

So what is the fullness of God you ask?   God is the most Supreme Being in the entire universe.  He has always been in existence and everything that exist….every galaxy, planets, sun, moon, creatures, and humans were created by Him.  He is extremely powerful with mighty strength,  great wisdom and knowledge and is able to do anything He thinks of doing or creating.  He is perfect in every way with no flaws.  He is very holy, very just and with love based motives.  All of this glorious awesomeness that is in His deity is in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 3:16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

My mere words are a pitiful attempt of trying to explain the fullness of God because His whole presence of who He really is and the power and awe that is Him… is unexplainable in human language.  He is too great!!!  All of this greatness is in His son Jesus Christ and because of His great sacrificial expression of love…we have access to God and all of His fullness.  We have all of who God is…we are His children we were bought for a price by Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ IS the fullness of God and we need to be all we can be in Him.  Then and only then can we experience the fullness of God.  It is through Jesus….we must have Jesus.  I must have Jesus….I need Him!!  I want Him!!  Jesus… I submit myself to you!!!

The power of God is at work in us!  Oh my Lord!!  We can experience the fullness of God through Jesus Christ.   God’s work in our lives can bring His plans into reality and people will marvel at how great our God is!

Ephesians 3:20-21  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

God’s power and greatness is His fullness!  We need to meditate often on the fullness of God so that we can walk and reflect the fullness of God in our lives.  May the Lords plans and work be glorified in our lives through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

Message for today: The fullness of God……is something to ponder thoughtfully and deeply about.

How to trust God even though you’re very mad at Him

Sometimes I think I almost push God to this point….But I know my foolishness doesn’t affect Him that way. God is patient, kind and understanding.

If God was here on earth in the midst of a very difficult trial in my life I would shake His shoulders, jump up and down and just start screaming to the top of my lungs until He would have to slap me silly.

Bed beating with a broom…doesn’t really help!

I have done something this….let me share my crazy testimony.  In 2002 I had been suffering with an illness for about 3 years that was undiagnosed at the time and I was having horrible debilitating stroke-like episodes.  I was at my wit’s end because things were getting worse and I was waiting to be healed…like yesterday!   One day I just exploded in prayer to God.  I was trying to sweep my little daughters room and I was so tired that I could barely sweep.

I was so upset about the illness I suffered with that I started crying really hard.  I was so angry at God in that moment… I took the broom and just started beating my daughter’s bed with it until I had no more strength left in my body. (I was home alone thank God…my family would have thought I’ve gone off the deep end for sure!)  As I was beating the bed I told God that I couldn’t take it anymore.  I said to Him….how can you let this keep happening to me?  What did I do to deserve this?  I obey and serve you!  Why aren’t you helping me?  Can’t you see how hurt I am?  I cried so hard that my eyes were so swollen and painful.

After all this ranting…I laid on my daughter’s bed and fell asleep.  I couldn’t believe I was still in one piece when I woke up and that God didn’t knock my fool head off for yelling at Him like that.  I believe that while I was asleep…God ministered to my spirit.  He has done this many times before when I have been very troubled and I prayed and then fell asleep.  I know that He ministers to me in my sleep because when I wake up I feel….different.  I feel that God’s grace has worked in me and healed my emotional state.  Sometimes God has to work on you when you’re asleep because your spirit is in a quiet state.  Our mind never shuts down and is active even though we’re asleep.

I share this story with you because I want you to know that God understands our…FRUSTATIONS.  He knows us very well…He created us with emotions and He knows that we don’t understand His ways which can bring on frustration and grief.  This is something that can happen from time to time under a very distressing trial.  There is a really big cure for this kind of frustration and that is……..

YOU MUST PRAY THAT THING OUT….YOU MUST TALK TO GOD ANYWAY.  TALK TO HIM THROUGH YOUR TEARS AND THE PAIN!

It’s the only way to get complete rest for your soul in a situation like this.  If God doesn’t give you one of His inner healings…if God doesn’t take that heavy yoke (burden) from you…you will break under the pressure. You might resort to something else to compensate for the stress such as overeating, shopping, drinking, drugs or it can turn into depression, anxiety, panic attacks or you may take your anger out on someone. You could even backslide…turn away from your walk with the Lord.   It can lead to high blood pressure and all kind of illnesses.  Our body and mind can only take but so much.

Some people can handle a great deal of stress and some people can handle very little.  The best thing is to find the right help in the midst of what you’re going through.

I have two scriptures that are my first point of meditation about my situation when I’m going through a very difficult time and they are:

1.)   1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (NIV)

                   Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (NLT)

2.)    Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

After you read these two scriptures (and there are many more scriptures in the bible, but seek God’s word and let Him speak to you through it) then put your mind on God, trust and wait on Him.  I tell you help and rest will come.  There are many ways God can minister to you in your time of need…even if you’ve been angry with Him.

The more heavy trials you go through (like me) the more you figure out how to seek out this kind of support from God when you are going through difficulty.  God has revived me and encouraged me many times and I KNOW he will be there for me…ALWAYS!

God won’t knock us out for talking to Him angrily or get mad at us for blaming Him…He understands human pain. Jesus cried out to God before He was to be crucified and while he was being crucified. God is not trying to see if He can break us…He has a reason for allowing us to go through these things.  Some reasons are testing’s which teach us patience and perseverance.   Some trials are to bring God glory and some trials we will never know or understand in our lifetime.  We need to have a plan so when the very difficult times come…we will know where to turn to and get the help we need to sustain us during that time

We have two choices…we can do things our way or accept the offer of Jesus Christ who tells us in His word to put our burdens on Him.  Personally I choose Jesus.  In my early years as a Christian I carried my burdens around a long while before I finally gave them over to Him.  But now after over 20 years of walking with the Lord I give them over to Him almost right way.  I’m still human and can worry  for a hot minute before casting my burdens on the Lord…but then the truth of God word rises up in me and I say…what am I doing and I give that thing right over to the Lord.

I feel in my heart today that there are some people who needed to hear my testimony today.  I put myself out there not to be a blog diva… but to let you see my tall goings and my short comings.  I’ve had highs in the Lord and I’ve had lows in the Lord.  I’m still singing God’s praises and will continue to do so no matter what I go through because I know what God has in store for me for my future.

I’m going to say a prayer for you right now:

Heavenly Father,

I know there are people out there really going through some very difficult times and some even feel like giving up.  Lord I ask you to please strengthen their heart and give them reminders from your word of the help you promise to give us during extremely difficult times.  Please look past their anger and fear and help them get to a better place in you.  Lord forgive them for their doubt in your ability help them.  Bless every person who has found their way to this blog today and has this need in their life.  Lord…heal hearts and minds today and give them peace.  I ask this in Jesus name…Amen.

The devil is out trying to mess with every Christians head today.  He is causing mass fear and doubt in people’s minds.  As soon as they wake up in the Morning he assails them with all the negative things they are going to face in their day and through the week.  When they leave their houses he goes on the prowl to try to consume them which can destroy their confidence in God which in turn will make them useless ineffective Christians.

Many of these Christians are prayed up and bible savvy so he can’t get at them but the others who aren’t prepared for the attacks get pounced on and walk around the streets all bloodied.  Non-Christians look at them and are turned off to their God and the devil has succeeded in his effort to takeover of this nation and the world.

The Christian community should be on the watch for this assailant whose description has been described as being a red male about 6 feet tall and is said to carrying a pitch fork…but others say he’s invisible to the eye and has the ability to penetrate people’s mind and affect their thinking.  There’s a contract hit out for Him that was taken out about 2,000 years ago by a man named Jesus Christ.

Everyone is asked to be on the lookout and protect yourselves and your family with prayer from this assailant.  If you have seen this person you are asked to call on this number 611 from Ephesians:

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
