I put todays blog on Facebook and someone asked me..”Where was God yesterday?”  This is what I posted back:

(Let’s pray for those who are asking that same question….many are.)

Where was God during the shooting?  God was still on His mighty throne and knows all that has and is going on.  Why didn’t he do anything?  Why Katrina…Why 9/11…Why all the innocent people being killed tragically everyday?  Only God knows the answers to these questions.  God didn’t cause this nor did He ignore that they happened.  The culprit of the horrific things is satan.  There is no way in real-time that we will know why God allowed this to happen.  The bible is clear that God’s ways are not our ways and we should not rely on our own understanding of things.  He said we see through a dark glass now but one day we’ll understand the things that have happened.  I know that God did save hundreds of kids that day and everyday He does so many miracles to keep millions safe.

I thank Him every day for keeping me, my family and millions safe and heals hundreds every day.  When these types of things happen…I do what HE tells us to do and that is…TRUST Him and keep our eyes and mind on Him.  He said He will keep us in perfect peace if we do that.  He said He would give us grace to get through anything.  We who are God’s children are going to pray for these precious families and their community and we will not lose heart.

We know that these precious little ones ARE in the arms of Jesus now.  For those who are mad at God…it’s totally OK.  That’s how you feel. I used to be mad at Him a lot…but after I learned what the bible says about His nature and I learned who He is…I stopped being mad at Him when bad things happen because I have more of an understanding that we are just not going to know all the why’s and He has His plans and His reasonings.  His motives are not to destroy us.  Our spirit will be alright no matter what happens to our bodies.  I know this is a long answer but I just needed to say what I said. I leave you with this scripture:

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
 forever. Psalms 23:1-6
